A passage that couldn't be seen before the flood of 2068-69 is now perfectly visible to all. Headmaster Bontecou once repaired it so that it no longer goes very far, but it does take you indirectly to the entrance of the Slytherin Common Room...if you aren't a Slytherin. If you are one, you'll see a new track that turns right to lead you to your common room - just what you need when you forget the password.
The passage may be dark and winding, and can occasionally smell like sewage (thanks, Myrtle), but that's no excuse for snogging down here!

Venturing down into the dungeons made Olivia think of her brother a little as he was a Snake at Hogwarts during his time. She wondered if he often spent time down here in the dark dungeons. For some reason, it was sort of dimly lit down here. She didn't like that.. but still it was kind of awesome to come down here for a bit. Roaming around the passageway made her chuckle a little. It felt as if she had discovered a secret path that hardly anyone used. So Olivia HAD to come down here to explore. Though with all of her excitement about the passageway, Olivia wouldn't want to spend the whole day down here because then she wouldn't be able to see the sun and that would be weird.
As she walked further into the secret passage, she eyed the walls around her as they wound corners. Was it just her or was it darker down here than the last time she had ventured? She cast, "Lumos!" to help guide her way forward.
Her bengal cat; Felix had not been back in her Divination Tower for day's and naturally like any loving pet owner Professor Vance was growing concerned. This wasn't like him. She had scryed for him of course, why not use all means available to her? But Laurel had only gotten small hints and nothing definitive. So she left the seventh floor and made her way down the floors searching high and low and in between for her cat. Asking Sir Cadogan for assistance had proved to be a stupid idea since the only thing he had led her to was a stone cat sculpture. Entering the dungeons, the last place to look inside the castle for Felix before she had to venture outside, Laurel stopped to let her eyes adjust to the dark and dimly lit passageway.
Taking out her wand she mumbled "Lumos!" as she headed onwards, her nose tingling at the sharp smell of sewage. "Ugh, Felix! If you're down here I hope I won't find you feasting on dead fish!"

Potions was one of the subjects that Noelle had definitely approved with since her second term. It used to be her worst subject, but now, it was one of her favorite ones. She had to work HARD to get where she was today. Today, she was finishing up her third potion for her animagi training. She was quite pleased with herself.
Heading out of the potions classroom, she noticed a familiar face. She started to wave but Olivia moved to ..... why had Noelle never seen that corridor before??? Curious, she started to follow.
As she got into the corridor, she heard a voice. One she knew to be the professor's voice. Merlin. Feeling like she was doing something bad, and having no idea why, she moved to a darker part of the corridor and pressed herself against the damp wall.
She tried staying quiet. The professor seemed to be looking for something.. and that sounds of it.. was probably her cat. Noelle couldn't help even if she wanted to because she was allergic to cats. So she stayed put.
Until she felt something furry slide across her legs. She jumped but stayed quiet by putting her hand over her mouth. She couldn't see what that was but could guess moments later when her eyes got itchy and puffy. Then...

'ACHOOOOOO!! ACHOOOO!"
The loud noise bounced off the walls.
"Felix, where are you????" Laurel called out again, hearing her voice bounce off the halls wondering if she with her calls would wake up some creepy crawlers or spiders even. With her wand raised that lit up the floor and corridor the Divination Professor walked onwards. She had an instinctive feeling that her cat was down there. She could feel him. But where he was, that was that question. Hopefully he wasn't trapped somewhere in a spider nest or something worse.
Blue eyes darted this way and that as she walked on but there was still no sign off Felix anywhere not even some cat hairs. If she didn't find him before dinner then she'd have to do what she rarely did and ask Sylvia to aid her in finding her pet. The caretaker had enough duties to fill but if Laurel offered her a free reading in turn maybe she'd help?
Laurel was about to turn down another corridor when the very loud noise of someone sneezing repeatedly caught her ears. Moving towards the sound she called out. "Hello? Who's there? Have you perhaps seen a bengal cat?"

Olivia thought that she was alone down here until she heard someone call out and then that was followed by a sneeze. "Noelle?" she said, taking a guess as she ventured towards the house. The other voice was difficult to identify... unless that was Professor Vance? Though then again it could be Peeves or someone impersonating both those voices...
It was Noelle! Ooh not good. She looked like she was having an allergic reaction. Puffy eyes, sneezing... "Noelle! Are you okay?" she asked, wondering what was causing her friend to be so ill. "Maybe we should get you to the Healer?" Whatever she had could be serious. If it wasn't an allergic reaction, Olivia def did not want to catch that.
And as for the other voice, there was a light. Hello? A cat? "No not here unfortunately.... though I haven't looked around my feet in a while...."

Sniffle, sniffle
Merlin, she'd been caught. Achoooo!
"Sorry." Noelle muttered through her sniffles and sneezes as she wiped her nose and then blew it. "I dink I did dee dour dat." Noelle said before blowing her nose again.
"I don't deed da heeder." Noelle told Olivia in her best voice possible. Cats just seemed to be attracted to people that didn't necessarily want them around. "I jud deed ...." SNEEZE.
"I jud need to det away a deedle bit." She looked at the professor. "Whad dolor id dour dat?" She asked her, basically trying to see if that was the furry animal that the professor had lost.
She probably wouldn't be able to help her find her cat, if she stayed here too much longer, her throat might swell.... unless the professor had an allergy potion. They were common. And you wouldn't believe what kind of things witches had in their pockets.
"Dud andee one have allergy dotion?" and also, Noelle looked over at Olivia. "is that a secret passage?" she mouthed, hopefully quick enough that the professor didn't see.... and if Olivia could read lips.

What was Noelle saying? Olivia furrowed her brow as she was having difficulty understanding her very good friend here. Umm... She bit her lip. What?
OH WAIT. She was now following. It took her a moment to understand what she was saying. She didn't need a Healer? Olivia folded her arms. Now it sounded like her friend did NEED a Healer especially with all the 'd's' substituted for other consonants. "Noelle..." Before she could say anything, Noelle was speaking again. It took Olivia another moment to respond. What colour was the cat? And did they have an allergy potion? She shook her head. No allergy potion on her. "Not on me..." she said. "Sorry." Though... Maybe they could find an allergy potion somewhere? Perhaps the Professor had one...?
Now reading lips was a little easier at this present moment. Olivia turned to glance at the passageway that she had just stepped out of. Then she turned to gaze back at Noelle and nodded in response. Yes, this WAS a secret passageway. Simon had spoken of it and written about it in his journal that he had shared with his sister. His journal had described this place as a quick getaway from the drama in the common room. A sanctuary in a dark place.
