Get in the game and raise some school spirit with a little friendly competition! Several fun and engaging activities are happening here for those with a competitive spirit. It's Hogwarts versus Ilvermorny, so grab your friends to team up for tug-of-war or a relay race. Or if competitive eating is your thing, take a seat for the pie-eating contest. Even if you aren't competing, be sure to cheer on your friends. May the best team win!
Tug-of-war
Tug-of-war is a test of physical strength for two teams. Each side takes ahold of one end of the rope, trying to pull the other team towards the center. The team to pull their opposition over the center line first is the winner.
Relay race
Team up in groups of four either by school or by house. Then, on your mark, get set, go! The first runner from each team takes a lap, then tags their next teammate in line. The first team to have all four runners finish wins!
Pie-eating contest
Think you can out-eat the competition? No hands are allowed at this event, so all the apple pies here must be eaten face first. Eat more pies than anyone else and you’ll be declared the winner!
OOC: Because all three activities are RPed in the same thread, please title your post with the activity in which your character is participating so we can all keep track of where we all are and find others to play with. Thank you!

While Skylar would have been okay for tug-of-war, given her experience in quidditch beating, the fourth year was not particularly interested in that. Nor was she interested in the relay race, though she didn't doubt if teamed up with the right people, she could totally win that.
Instead, she was here for the free food. In the form of pie; apple pie. While there might be Ilvermorny or Hogwarts students who could eat a ton of food; they were teenagers, after all, Skylar was determined to out-eat them. She knew she could eat a ton of food and she would probably be vomiting later, but it was all in the name of school spirit, wasn't it?
Taking a seat at one of the tables with pies, she wondered if she was meant to wait for others to show up or just dig in? If she started first, did that give the edge? It didn't really matter for speed anyway, just how many ... And no hands, which meant this was going to get messy. A quick impervius charm to her robes and her wand was back its holster, her hands in her lap.
And down her face went, for the first bite. Cream pie might have been easier to eat without hands, because the crust was rather awkward, but what was a contest without it being a challenge?

Jeremy thrived on competitiveness and this was why he chose here to hang out first. He eyed the games that had been set up. Two of the three required a team and being on teams was something he was not fond of. He preferred to go solo, thank ya very much, so the wise choice would be the pie eating contest. He got to kill everyone with his mad eating skills and he got to fill his stomach. That's taking down two birds with one stone.
Though...
If there was going to be a SCHOOL battle in either of the two other games, he'd be up for it. Needed to show those Hogwartians that Ilvermorny was definitely better; his love for his school was stronger than him not liking being on teams. Yeah, he'd lurk first to see what was up.

Aurora was NOT in the mood for a pep rally. Madelyn was annoying enough as it was - and now there was a whole event dedicated to this? Ugh. Ever since she had been eliminated, Aurora had been the exact OPPOSITE of a school spirit type of gal. She hoped Valerie and Kyle lost - HARD. She was officially Team Hogwarts now. Kyle was even a member of her own house, but after her meltdown confrontation with them, she was not feeling particularly fond of her housemate.
She had been mostly keeping to herself and her small circle of friends - even hanging out with Drew a bit, ranting to him about how angry she was that Chad was put in such danger during this stupid challenge - but she supposed she had to take a chance and be social at SOME point. Although she was sticking to Jeremy's side the WHOLE time. He was one of the few she had been talking to almost every day. Because he was her...boy...person. Yes. That was a good way to describe it.
"Can we pie people in the face with these instead of eating them?" she asked with a smirk as she walked up to Jeremy.

Those pies were calling Jer's name. Sure, they weren't hot dogs (nothing could ever beat those) but he liked pies. And he realised he was hungry right about now. Too bad Sam or Aurora wasn't there with him. He bet he could beat both girls. Thinking of Aurora! Jer met her smirk with a smirk of his own, his heart leaping to see her. "Why not?'' he asked casually. In all honesty, he had done his best to keep her cheerful after that third task and the aftermath in the Viewing Area. He didn't care one bit that she had lost; he still liked her a lot.
"See any one in particular?'' was the question. He winked. Jer knew all too well whom Aurora would like to smash in the face with pie. "If not, I bet I could beat you at this lame competition, Aurora.'' Look at his game face that was on!

Oops? Was she not supposed to start eating before others arrived? Swallowing the bit of crust she had in her first bite, Skylar glanced up to see the arrival of one of the former competitors who she recalled interacting with Brent on the night of their arrival, but also at the conclusion of the first challenge too. It was a blur, but she had done her research about the competitors and even though she hadn't actually been able to witness her performance in the third challenge, she knew her name was Aurora and she seemed super smart.
Except what was the talk of pie-ing people in the face? And who was the male? She was almost sure she'd seen them together at the cruise party, so perhaps he was her special person? One couldn't be too sure, but what she did know is they were acquainted with each other and both Americans. And with a month left of school, she probably ought to make at least one attempt at an interaction.
"Hello, you know, you're supposed to eat the pies?" Sky said inclining her head at the table and her first pie which had like one bite missing. "Aurora, right? You did great in the challenges," though she probably wasn't feeling like she did because she wasn't in the final four, which made Skylar instantly regret even saying something. "Um, I'm sorry." She wished she could have offered her something, but she didn't really have much except for Brent buttons and well, that would be weird. Because both her and her male person were probably rooting for Kyle, right? She had witnessed the interaction and meltdown with Valerie a month prior, so she doubted support for her. And it would make sense for them to support the own school, right?

a bit of madness is key | miss chanandler bong | those cunning folks use any means
It hadn't taken the groundskeeper long to understand how the young kiddos worked. Whenever there were festivities, some of them sneaked off to do mischief which meant a whole lot of work for him. Still, Mr. Baldvinsson decided to show up at the pep rally to "mingle". He could mingle. He was a mingle expert.
Closing up on the pie-eating contest he spotted Miss. Diggory with two Ilvermorny students [Aurora, Jeremy].
"Hello gang."Gang, bros, mates. He was so down with the kids. "Enjoying ourselves?" He peeked over them at the pies and caught himself glancing around for the headmistress. The pies were for the contest, but surely no one would notice or mind if he took a few with him to the hut to eat later on in the week, right? He was a member of staff after all.
It was decided. All he had to do was distract the kids long enough for him to shovel some under his arm and make a beeline for the hut. It was manageable.
"Have you tried any of them?" He asked the three students.
If he was going to stealborrow some of them, he had to know which flavor was the best one.
