Hufflepuff Hufflepuff House Table

banner by Alec Summers (hermionesclone)
The Badgers sit under a brand new gold and black banner representing their house. Their solid, shiny wooden table is nicely polished with all the place settings perfectly set. It was once said that the Hogwarts House Elves are the best in the world. It is up to your stomach to agree... but surely it will! Why wouldn't it like elf cooking?

If you're thirsty, there is also fresh pumpkin juice and water on the table, regardless of whether or not it is actually mealtime.

He was mega confused. Or maybe he was just dumb. Hmmm that'd explain why he was Professor of the Animals and not something mega important like DADA. Zoryn kept this thought to herself though. This guy had a short temper.

Speaking of which, "...... Okaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay," she threw her hands up in surrender (not really though because she didn't truly believe him, of course). "Whatever floats your boat, Sir." Definitely sounded like a midlife crisis. JUST sayin.

Why did she choose him to annoy? Oh! That's SUPER easy. 'Cause she needed SOMEONE to annoy and he was sitting right HERE. Hey, if you didn't want to be bothered, then you probably should've sat at your own table. The Creature's Professor was basically ASKING to be interrogated.

"Hmmmm," she pretended to be deep in thought AND also pretended to scribble down the bit about his lack of moisturizer. "Might be a good idea to start using some," she nodded. "Or at least a moisturizer 'cause it's supposed to be good for you." And she definitely wasn't calling him old again. Just pointing out facts. Moisturizer is a beauty MUST. And he seemed like the type of guy who liked his face. So yeah. If you want to keep liking your face, you gotta keep attending to it. That was REAL knowledge for you. Zoryn Spinnet, coming in with the facts!!!

"I never said I didn't understand why, sir," she nodded LOADS. 'Cause if she were a house elf she'd probably be slacking too. "I was just making an observation." He wasn't very good at listening, was he? This was like the SECOND time. "What would you say is your biggest strength?" 'Cause it DEFINITELY was NOT listening. And also, she had to carry on with the interview.
At this point he was really thinking about escaping to the Staff Dias...or even his hut. He was so over this. He really should have just scrounged something out of the fridge there or just....slept. Tristan gave her a small, yet annoyed smile at her comment about where he was sitting. Why exactly did it matter? Honestly! He was seriously reconsidering sitting here again.

Moisturizer. MOISTURIZER?!?! He was just flabbergasted at how he even got here. He sighed, "Thanks, Zoryn. I will keep that in mind." He moved his Daily Prophet, and made another little sandwich. He was starving and wasn't going to let this kid get between him and his food.

"Well, as I said, I think the food is just as good as it always has been." He took a big bite out of his little sandwich and smiled, to prove his point. it really was rather delicious. He really was very hungry at this point, only having one and a half of these guys, and being harassed by Zoryn was making him rather ravenous, or as some people would say....hangry.

Well...at least it was finally a good question. He chewed another bit of small sandwich, and swallowed before answering, "I would say my biggest strength is my understanding of animals, magical or non-magical. Not everyone has the knowledge and ability to have a Phoenix become loyal to them." It was a rather daunting and time consuming task that was for sure, and there were only a few that were really successful.

He should've escaped while he had the chance tbh. 'Cause there was NO way Zoryn was gonna let him go now. She'd follow him even if he tried, sooooooo best just stay put yeah? HEhehehehe. She returned his annoyed smile with an all-knowing nod. Mhm. And of course it mattered 'cause she said so. Duuuuuuuuuh.

"Your welcome, sir," she smiled graciously. It was her duty to educate people who needed it. Even if said people were supposed to be the said educators. And the teacher becomes the teachee. Zoryn wanted to point this one out too, but she had an interrogation interview to continue and she was easily distracted SO luckily for him, he got off easy on that one.

"HhMMMMMMMHMMMMMMmmmm," she made some exaggerated sounds in "understanding". "I seeeeeeeeeeeeeeee," she added some more fake scribbling in her notebook too. To make this whole thing feel much more authentic. She wasn't just playing the part, she was the part. Hollywood, here she comes!!!!

"How come you're eating animal meat, sir," she pointed to the contents of the sad sandwich he had dropped on the floor only minutes ago. Looked like ham. "Isn't that counterintuitive?" That was a VERY good word she just used. Her mum would be SOOOOOOOOO impressed. Counterintuitive was a word that almost-thirteen-year-olds and not eleven-year-olds would use. "Since you claim to love and care for animals, shouldn't you practice that with your dietary habits too?" HMMMMMMMM???

Zoryn A. Spinnet asking ALL of the WORLD'S MOST IMPORTANT questions.

And exposing Professor "Creatures" (or so he SAYS) for the BIG FRUAD he is.

Professor Creatures sounds awfully fishy. No pun intended.

Alright. Tristan had had about enough of this. Zoryn was completely out of line. She was lucky he hadn't taken point from her, and boy was he tempted to.

With a quick whistle, Ash appeared in a burst of flame just over their heads. "I suggest you learn a little tact before questioning another professor, Zoryn." He dropped his Daily Prophet over his plate and stood up.

"Good day." He said curtly, and then quickly gripped Ash's tail feathers. In a matter of seconds they disappeared in exactly the fashion that Ash had appeared. He knew this way of leaving wouldn't allow her to follow him.

..... Oh.

He was really grumpy today, Zoryn noted. "Hope you feel better soon, sir!" she waved goodbye. Man. That went GREAT!!! Zoryn had an awesome time! Maybe she'd find him in his office sometime to finish the interview though, 'cause Zoryn hadn't even gotten to the GOOD questions yet.

But this would suffice as far as preinterviews went. And with that, she jumped off of the bench and made her way out of the great hall skipping the whole way. LA LA LA LA!!!
