THREE?! Woah woah woah woooooooaaaaaaaaaah...hold on professor. Do you not see how impossible a decision that was for this second year? Okay...actually...when he really looked at the options his three choices were quite clear and he easily scribbled those down on a piece of parchment, but Derf did not stop there. Glancing over at Ash - why no phoenix option, professor?! - the Hufflepuff felt his heart speed up and skip several beats at the opportunity being presented to them...and the fact that his quill was still moving over the parchment as he wrote Once done, he eagerly handed his selection in with a big ol' EAGER grin...and more glances over towards Ash. "Profes-s-sor," he began, big baby blues locked on the phoenix. "Do you reckon Ash would...allow me to learn more from him?" |
And the lesson was over! Carl was packing his things away when Professor Wayland mentioned the Extra Credit opportunity. He paused and listened, as he was interested to do anything outside of lessons related to caring for creatures. ... Infant creatures! The badger grinned excitedly. He loved animals, but baby animals were even more lovable. They could even get to take them home in the summer! There was no second thought about this. He looked through the list of creatures on the blackboard, then grabbed a form. Choosing only three creatures was a difficult task, but he took into consideration his abilities and responsibilities into his decision. When he was done, Carl put the form in the box next to the blackboard. Smiling, he said to the Professor, "Thank you for the lesson, Professor Wayland!" Then, he took his belongings and walked off happily. |

After their flight, Noelle was on cloud nine. She kept Olly's hand because she really thought she might float away. Then Professor Dreamboat went and was explaining about taking care of BABY animals and ..... more swooning was happening. Pulling herself from her thoughts, Noelle grabbed a form and looked over the animal list. She lived on a farm.... hmmm... Name: Noelle Grace Summers House: Gryffindor Year: 6th Top 3 Creatures: Bowtruckles, Aethonian, and Granian. (Not in that order) She handed in the form to the professor and gave him a smile before heading out to meet Olly. Taking his hand, she headed out the classroom. |
LMAO, Rooney + Finishing up! SPOILER!!: Rooney Bronwyn! It seemed too soon, that she was, once again, reunited with the ground... NOOOO!... Olivia loved being up in the air, and found that while it'd only been seconds since she'd been in flight... she already missed it greatly. The Gryffindor was only truly soothed by Rooney's loud, excited proclamation that he was to marry her. Gosh, there was still so much uncertainty and fear on her end, but hearing that this was something he wanted... seemed to make her relax just a touch. Enough for her to offer up her best smile in his direction. And some extra tight finger squeezing. For reassurance purposes. Anyway, no thinking about anything bad just now. Her mental state was fragile (but that wasn't for everyone to know). Also, forgive the slight love-sickened look upon her face. It was just... This was her favorite Rooney, of all the different Rooneys. SPOILER!!: Professor Wayland! Awww, for shame, they were finished for the day.... BUT this hadn't come without it's own added bit of exciting news. Professor Wayland was proving himself to be one of her new favorites for the term, given that he wasn't afraid to partake in discussions with her... AND that the opportunity to work with BABIES was being offered to herself and her classmates. FOR A GRADE... Well, the professor was just meeting her, of course, but this was right up her alley. Nurturing and Loving were two fundamental Olivia Lynn Phillips personality traits. EEEEP!!!!! Quickly helping herself to a form, she turned to Rooston; waving the piece of parchment around a bit. "What are you choosing, Mr. Head Boy?" Oh, yeah. That nickname would probably still be making an appearance long after they'd both graduated from this place...... Perhaps they could work together?...... Hopefully Rooney wouldn't mind that. |
Okay, yes, so maybe Abey was crying. AGAIN. But these tears were purely HAPPY TEARS because of the overwhelming good feelings he had about having a PHOENIX FLIGHT and with his one and only. His one and only VILLAIN. Anyway, it wasn't really big and ridiculous crying or anything, just a few tears, and ones that he quickly dried on his sleeve once he and Derf had landed. It seemed like that was the lesson all done and finished with, and Abey was just getting ready to head back up to the castle when the ANNOUNCEMENT WAS MADE, and his eyes went wide as saucers in his ACTUAL AMAZEMENT. Baby creatures?! YES PLEEEEEASE! Abey was already nodding his head front when the professor was only halfway through his explanation, and was still nodding by the time he had finished. Oh... but... filling in a form though. Abey bit his lip at that point. Maybe baby creatures weren't SO exciting. Maybe he wouldn't be missing much if he didn't take part? No, he didn't need to... he didn't need to needlessly worry about a form... he didn't... he... HE DIIIIIIIID. HE REALLY DIIIIIIIIID. Reluctantly but somehow (somehow) enthusiastically at the same time, Abey grabbed a form and........ took a fair amount of time filling it out. And when it was finally (FINALLY) done, though hardly very neat or legible, he crammed it into the box by the blackboard, and stood waiting for Derf, intending to make the return trip back to the castle with him. |
OLIVIA LYNN PHILLIPS-BRONWYN (love of his life, queen of his heart) Rooney could not put into words how wonderful it still felt to have this lovely Gryffindor on his arm now and forevermore, but he tried impossibly to convey it with every look he shot her way. With another kiss to the top of her head, Roo gave Liv a gentle nudge to sit back down as they awaited all of the students to finish their turn at taking flight with Ash. "Wasn't that wonderful? Did you find it wonderful? I loved it. So, SO much." Actually, he was still so high in cloud nine that he hadn't touched his Head Boy badge since before they had spoken with Stasya and Emmeline, and typically he did that every three or four minutes to remind himself that it was there and this dream was real. Another dream that was real was right in front of him, too. Oh, Olivia. The Ravenclaw's smile widened as Professor Wayland spoke, his eyes lighting up and he was visibly excited for what was being said. CREATURES. Baby creatures! And by the end of the year, he would be able to ADOPT his one. And take it with him. Oh wow oh wow wasn't that just...SO lovely? Rooney was probably going to cry about all of this later if he got overwhelmed with the kindness of this new Professor, but Liv was talking to him and she needed his undivided attention. He grinned. "Well, a crup or kneazle would work well for university, you know? But.... raising an Augurey sounds....wow.... wow!" As evident, Roo was completely still in shock about everything happening...and he may have still been looking around for the Phoenix to jus stare and be in AWE again. How. Magnificent. "What about you? We should give them paired names, whatever we choose. They'll be living together one day either way." |
Rooney SPOILER!!: This! Her Ravenclaw was so overly excited that Olivia could practically smell it on him. Not a bad thing. NEVER a bad thing, but it did cause her to laugh at Rooney's expense just a little.... What? It was cute, and as his person, Liv was allowed to laugh, giggle, cackle... WHATEVER...she wanted to do at him. Residual giggles were happening as her amusement died down. Hm. What she didn't want to say, as he looked like a child on Christmas morning (and Liv wasn't a grinch) was that crups and kneazles were both so common. It seemed many people had those types of things, and as the unique couple they were, they required something much more magical, in her honest opinion. Different, uncommon....special. "Ooooh, I was thinking about nifflers....but a pair of augureys....would be SO cool." Like... SO. COOL. Liv could hardly believe this opportunity was being so freely given... She'd been so used to giving herself, and now she was receiving. Blessed be. "Our first shared pets." It was such a simple, couple-like thing to do...but to her, it meant the world...which was probably reflected in her gaze. "I hope we get matching babies." |
Rooney reached to point at her finger and grinned. "A niffler would nab that, my love. And I much prefer seeing it on your hand rather than not." He'd grown particularly used to it, even. He let himself watch the glisten of the Disney themed ring for a while before leaning his head against the top of hers and snuggled whilst they had time for people to finish up. Was it going to be like this all year? Heavenly? Would things change when their guests from across the pond joined them? He hoped not. He also hoped that no one would peak Liv's interest enough to take her away. He was already low-key terrified of those in the castle now being able to take away his future. Their future. Ugh. It was too much. But he was happy for now, ecstatic for right now and so ready for everything. "We can put three on our forms and then speak to Wayland about having augureys? If we make a solid argument, then he can't say no." Or so Roo hoped. "Name ideas?" |

"I hadn't considered that." Visions of smol, baby nifflers had been dancing around in her head... So...it was terribly wonderful of Rooney to be thinking of everything, as he usually did. Her Ravenclaw.... And the suggestion that they speak to Professor Wayland about it... "You don't think he'll randomize, do you?" Please, PLEASE...no putting their names inside a hat for this type of thing. Let each form be carefully considered. Please and thank you...forever and ever, amen. "Elphaba and Fiyero?" Ugh, she'd had an almighty ITCH for Wicked since attaining her ginger cat, Nessarose, and vowed to attend a performance at the earliest possible convenience. Mmmm, or... "Cosette and Marius?" Les Misérables was another of her favorites, and dear to her heart as Rooney would often read the novel to her during their days in the library together. Totally normal couple stuff, you know? "Tevye and Golde..... How do you feel about Fiddler on the Roof" NATURALLY, any paired pets they owned would be properly namesaked after something to do with their shared interests. So, her suggestions were highly appropriate... Or so Olivia thought. |
ProfeSSAHHHH His eyes twinkled similarly to the ring they were discussing and Roo just grinned at her. "I can't go buying you a new one if it's nabbed by a niffler. It'll only happen over and over." He had nothing against the idea of having nifflers and had she been insistent on it, Roo would have agreed with no questions asked. But the thought of augureys were swirling in his head and it was exactly what he wanted and needed. Now he just had to make it happen. Hmm... "Remember how I'm Head Boy? Surely that means my thoughts count for something, yeah?" Roo hoped so anyway, given that he had a lot of thoughts about a lot of things and most of his Professors were open to hearing them. The librarian has already taken his idea of expanding the book maze with graduates favourite books into consideration. Rooney pushed his hair back, tilting his head to look at Professor Wayland before raising his hand. "Hey Professor? Sir? Professsssoooor Wayyyyylaaaaaand??" Do you think that Liv and I could both take care of augureys? We really want to be considered for them and we work really well together - to the point that we'll do so much research on caring for them. Honest. We'll love them SO much." Everyone knew that they both could love infinitely with the way they were together, yes? The Ravenclaw looked hopeful as he smiled as sweeeeetly as possible at the new Professor. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEEEAAAASE. The names from Wicked made Roo grin, but he also found himself falling in love with the idea of names from Les Miserables too. "Cosette is a pain, though. She has a whole lot of complaints about nothing in particular." But he was drawn back to that pair of Wicked names. Yikes yikes yikes. Liv knew how to get to his heart and soul. "Fiyero would be dancing through life with those wings of his. Hehhh. Did she get it? She got it. He knew she would. Why wouldn't she? Oh BUT Teyve and Golde were PERFECT. Married for so long and, ugh... "Or...or...or Motel and Tzeitel! OR Hodel and Perchik. I love all the names, Livvy!" They were all better than Pomegranate. |

Tristan nodded, waved, and bid farewell to every student that said goodbye and thanked him. Another successful lesson! He was very happy that so many students had enjoyed it. As the last student walked off, with a flick of his wand all the hay bales rolled over to the barn and stacked themselves neatly inside against the wall, and the blackboard rolled into the barn door, and put itself back into it's storage area. Now....what animals needed tending, he pondered as he whistled a different tune. Ash nuzzled his cheek, and quickly flew off into the afternoon sun, disappearing in a burst of flames, and reappearing just above the roof of his hut. He grinned, and headed into the barn to check on the creatures. |
