Kalen smiled as he looked around at the students writing, he himself was working on a character as well! The librarian always like to do a little writing in his down time.

All right, now that we all have our characters, I want you to write their response to this sentence : “Now do you believe me? I told you, you are a wizard/witch” "

Kalen grinned as he flicked his wand and the sentence moved upwards to hang in the air for everyone to see. "So just write their response in your notebook, and trying to use a characteristic that you chose in their response okay? " Did this sound fun? Hopefully it did. He knew it was a little out of the box, but he hoped it would get their creative juices flowing! "We have the rest of the club time to work on this, so take your time and if you have any questions, I'm right here!"

Okay that was easy enough, "Thanks, Sir!" she replied, before scribbling some more in her notebook. There were SO many things she could dooooooo. How the heck was she supposed to make just ONE character?!!?! This was AWFUL. Eh. She could do it though. And with that thought, she began writing.

THERE. She did it.

Her page did have many lines crossed out and a bunch of different trials, but finally she was SATISFIED. What were they supposed to do next? Zoryn hadn't' been paying too much attention.

It had taken Tristan a few minutes to get his character figured out but once he did he was really enjoying this creative writing activity. He always thought activities like this were fun. It got your imagination going. Maybe he would have to use this idea in CoMC one day....who knew.

Zoryn was SO good at this. Almost so good that the idea of being a future script writer crossed her mind, though she clearly dismissed the thought as she definitely wanted to be on the OTHER side of the camera. But maybe some day she could dabble into the whole directing and writing gig. It'd be so worth a shot. Hm. She also vaguely wondered if their Librarian was an author. This was a very writing heavy club meeting, where'd he draw all his inspiration?

.... Uh, aside from the hundreds of books they were surrounded by. On second thought, she was gonna drop it all and go back to writing. There were just way too many distractions going on. Zoryn needed to get back into focus. What was their next task again? She peeked over at Noelle's paper to see what her Prefect was working on, before returning her gaze to her own parchment. Right.

And then she began scribbling!

"Does that mean I can make sandwiches appear whenever I want!? Because if so, I'm ALL in!!! I just need to learn the spell for sandwich making and then I'll be absolutely golden. This is definitely the best day of my entire life. Hear that world!? I HAVE UNLIMITED SANDWICHES!!!"

Zoryn looked at her work with a PROUD smile. Her character was hilarious, curious, AND rash. It was a TRIPLE threat. Hilarious because who would found out they're a wizard and only wanna make sandwiches? Curious cause he asked a question. And rash 'cause he declared it was the best day of his life without any other proof. Zoryn was SURE she won this writing thing. Even though it was an announced competition.

Etta stared at the characteristics mentioned on the board, absently playing with the ends of her hair. She spent a long time trying to figure out what kind of a character she wanted to create.. after staring at the board for more time than necessary, her attention finally turned towards the parchment in front of her. She picked up her quill.. and stopped. Yeah, no. She was blank.

Okay so.. let's start with the name. Um. She needed to come up with a name that was different but also.. pretty. Sage? Yeah. Last name? Um. Why was this so difficult, gosh. Once again, after what felt like ages, she finally decided on Duncan. Sage Duncan? It did sound interesting enough, didn't it? Anyway, she wasn't going to spend even more time on the name so moving on.. Age? She decided to go with fifteen. Sage could be her age, yes. Next.. time to give her character some character traits. What would Sage be like? Funny? Tough? Real? Um.

Once that was done, she listened quietly as the professor moved on to the next part of the activity. This book club meeting was actually quite interesting.. more so than the last meeting, perhaps. She absently started to doodle, not sure how her character would react or respond to something like that. She'd only just created this character, right? And she needed more time to think.. finally, after a lot of hesitation, she started to scribble slowly.

Response - Sage remained quiet for a while, a dreamy look on her face. "Yes.. you know, I have always thought that I was destined to be a witch. Maybe I'm going to end up being the greatest witch this world has seen.. hopefully. Don't you think?"

Well, she had her character voice in her head, so Skylar just sat staring at her parchment while she awaited for what they were meant to do with their creations. Except staring at parchment made her second guess the name and everything she had previously thought about the voice that came to her, so she started scribbling it out and re-writing, when the librarian gave them a prompt. Thank goodness.

With a prompt in mind, she started to quill in her response.

Richard stared in disbelief up at the large man informing him of this news. "Me? A wizard? But i've never been anything in my life. I'm not very smart, or strong....But I believe that one day, I will make it. I'm ... this will help me on my way to survival. When can I start?"

Setting her quill down, she re-read what she wrote and smiled, thinking she got all his characteristics represented in just a brief statement.

Not to bad. Surely her character was a bit older than most but honestly she didn't know and it really didn't matter. When creating a character that was the best part, they could be however old you wanted them to be.

It was time to continue. Camilla listened to Kalen as he continued with the writing activity. Oh! This sounded fun. Hmm....what would her characters response be to that sentence...

Kitty wondered who she should make. Her first instinct was to make a punk character who shared some of the coolest characteristics of Emily the Strange and Jace Wayland. She even started making that character, and had named her Jinx Dominic. But in the end she decided on someone very different:

Characteristics: Kind, Real, Brave

"Oh!" Raven gasped and spun around, taking in her surroundings for the second time. "This is the most real dream I've EVER had, like EVER. Usually I can tell when I'm dreaming but this feels as real as normal stuff does. Well, if this is a dream, then I want to live in it a little bit longer just so I can see what I can do." She smiled at the person who brought her the strange news. "Please kind sir, would you mind giving me some magic tips? I want to try everything before I wake up."

*some time later after being taught about magic...*

This really didn't feel like a dream. "Dude, don't get me wrong," she said gently to the mysterious person who'd proven to her that she was a wizard. "I want this to be real, and it FEELS real, but I don't believe in magic. So please don't be offended that I don't think you're real. If you are still here tomorrow and all the time in between, then I'll know you're real and I'll believe in magic. Thank you for teaching me, though, it was very fun." And she smiled and hugged her new friend affectionately.

The character was Raven Moore, a character she'd created after having a very weird dream of being inside a cage floating through a sky of diamonds. The cage had landed on a pink spiral slide leading into the river. Then the dream had changed and she'd been thrust on top of a giant pile of rotten banana peelings and other garbage at the bottom of a black pit, and there was Ursula Black the Hag, former Divination teacher, coming towards her. Her mom had sold her to the Hag in this dream for being disobedient. All in all it was a bad dream, but it had inspired Kitty to make a character named Raven Moore who flew around inside a cage through a magical world.

Kalen was watching everyone with a smile on his face when he looked up and noticed the time. He clapped his hands together to get everyone's attention. "Well everybody, it looks like time is up, so club is officially dismissed. I hope you all had fun! Remember to pick up the next book in the Narnia series, "Prince Caspian" on your way out. We will begin studying that next week." He said as he flicked his hand and the door opened!

"Thanks for coming and have a good rest of your day. " The green eyed man said as he stood from his chair.

"Thanks, sir!" Zoryn hopped up and packed her things. Was she going to grab a book on her way out? Maybe. But she'd probably just give it to Faith or something. Zoryn wasn't about to read a book in preparation for their next meeting! She wasn't even sure if she'd GO to the next meeting. If there was food, then she'd be there. If not, then don't expect it. ahem.

But either way, she was very confident in her acting skills and that was the ultimate screen-test. Pretending you knew about a book when you definitely did not. She'd have to take her chances on that one.

And with that, she skipped off. Grabbing a book on her way out. Yeah, this was most definitely going to Faith.
