sorry I'm late <3 SPOILER!!: you three + Peeves and Miffy And then he smiled a bit, nodding in confirmation, as Levi realized which Charlotte he was referring to. "Yeah, she's the one I meant. Good friend of mine." He figured the other boy would know, being in the same house and year. Most everyone in school knew her anyway. But that was beside the point. They were talking about non-compliant animals and he turned to look at his kneazle again. "Um.." Henry thought over Levi's question as he kept his eyes on Chewbacca. "Well, I do feed him, so I guess he knows that way. And he always seems to know where to find me when he's ready to come home. That's probably enough." He wasn't so sure that felines were pack animals the way dogs were. They didn't need an alpha so much. He glanced back at Levi's brother as he was introduced. Henry was sure he had probably seen him around school, but it was good to put a name with a face, as well as the familial relation. "Nice to meet you too," he grinned. The lack of handshake certainly didn't bother him as he wasn't usually worried about the formality unless the other person was. And since Declan made no move to extend his hand, Henry didn't give it another thought. And before he could say anything else, he lurched forward slightly as someone bumped into him. Oh. Henry turned to see who it was, vaguely remembering that Levi had a sister in his house. Althea? Yes, he was pretty sure. He knew most of his housemates, at least by sight or name. But that shrieking.. "Are.. you alright?" Henry was somewhat concerned that she had gotten hurt, or something, even if he thought the collision was minor. Though he wasn't sure why she should.. or shouldn't.. be surprised. He looked between the two boys, wondering if one of them knew what was going on. And then of course, two of the three poltergeists showed up. Merlin, they were loud. Henry tried not to watch, though it was kind of hard not to. They were quite the spectacle. "Yeah, maybe some privacy is a good idea." He knew how the poltergeists could get. Best not to push their luck. "And I just need to get Chewbacca.." But it didn't help that Peeves dove into the swamp near his kneazle causing the spooked animal to jump away from him. "Heyy.. watch the hair." He did not need that nasty sludge water messing up his look, thanks! He'd need another shower, but first the kneazle. And the tarantula. "Maybe a summoning charm." If he was careful, it could work. |
What was Peevesie DOING?!?!?!?!?! Why was he jumping into the SWAMP?! Didn't he know it was dirty and- ............ ....... SPLAT! Miffy GASPED. He was throwing swamp water at HER?! DIRTY, MUSHY, SWAMP WATER?! "YOU. HAVE. GONE. CRAZY!" she screeched, grabbing a fistful of the slushy mess and throwing it BACK at him. And if any got on the studentsies then GOOD. That would make her feel BETTER. HUFFFFFF! "You don't care about ANY of us, DO YOU? Do you, you big GRUMP!" She let out a dramatic sniffle. "I HOPE YOU HAVE FUN LIVING YOUR BOOOOORING, MISERABLE LIFE ALONE!" Taking up a bit of sludge, she threw it STRAIGHT TOWARDS HIM. Or towards the BOYS. She didn't care WHO it landed on. "No, I think we're DONE here." To that one boy over THERE. At least he was nice enough to call her LADY. Letting out another loud sniff, Miffy turned around and zoooooooomed out of the scene. Was that the sound of Moaning Myrtle? NO, IT WAS THE SOUND OF MIFFY CRYING. |
Levi was full of bright ideas that he sometimes did not executed well or at all. Like when he thought about looking for a professor to let them handle the lovers' quarrel? That was a good idea. Choosing to stay and engage was not, as he very quickly learned. By the time Miffy had stormed off like a banshee, the weight of sludge had leveled him until he was sitting down on the floor. Unsure if he was supposed to laugh or cry and he certainly felt like doing both, Levi settled for looking at the positives, though he had to be honest and admit there were none. Mostly, he could not believe Henry was concerned about his HAIR, or that DECLAN had not WARNED him about THIS OCCURRENCE. To say nothing of Althea, who would be insufferable for weeks after this. He took a deep breath, looked around. "Well, at least now we know Fat Charlotte isn't there, guys." Levi looked at Peeves, gave him the thumbs up. "Cheers, mate." |
A lot of things were happening at once. Dirty things. Unpredictable things. Declan was not happy with his Guides but it wasn't like he could get back at them. He skidded across the floor, heavily, mud covering him head to toe. He felt sludge inside his shoes, squishing between his toes and he tried not to wiggle them. "Ugh," he groaned, his brown eyes rolling to the back of his head. The poltergeists had been too loud and now his ears were ringing. Declan barely heard the other boy's suggestion so he squinted at him, hoping he could read his lips through the mud slipping down his face. "Whatchoo say?" he asked loudly, as he tried to push himself up. It was a bad attempt, and his hands slipped forward. His face smashed into the floor, Declan decided to stay there until his head stopped pounding. "Yeah, yeah, cheers. Wonderful, my man. Just spectacular job. Etcetera etcetera," said Declan monotonously from the ground where he laid face first, winding one goop covered index finger in the air. |
Too many interlopers were ruining her mood--which was already ruined because of her smudged nail--she really couldn't deal. "Yes, Harold, I'm okay. It's not my fault that you were in my way," Althea replied, which, in her opinion was a completely polite way of pushing the blame solely on her housemate. She could only guess what and why her older brothers were lurking around the swamp--which (???) why was it still a THING at Hogwarts anyway? It most definitely had to do with that obese, amnesiac of a pet: Fat Charlotte. Althea didn't know why Declan bothered. Clearly Fat Charlotte had other plans; she didn't want to be found. "Have you ever considered that maybe Charlotte is trying to tell you something? " Althea suspected that they'd constantly be on a manhunt for the arachnid for the rest of their lives because she was bound to outlive them all. The fourth year had pointedly ignored the other incessant chatter around them. They were irrelevant and she couldn't be bothered to acknowledge them anyway. As such, she was utterly confused and distraught when mud was being slung from the swamp. She took a big sidestep as the mud continued to fly and she tried her best to avoid getting hit. It was when she felt something thick and smelly land on her head that she let out a loud, long shriek. She screamed for what felt like twelve hours but in reality it was closer to thirty seconds. "For the LIFE of me I will NEVER understand why this school had yet to exorcise them and purge the corridors of them for GOOD." She was furious, but, as her parents had constantly remind her: she had to stay calm and not do anything rash. Althea inhaled deeply and exhaled dramatically through her nostrils. An annoying set of whispers fluttered near her ears and she chose to ignore them too. She would not be sucked down the same rabbit hole that Declan was currently trapped in. Althea, tired of the drama, cast a meaningful look at Declan, then a sharper and more annoyed look at Levi, and then a final look at Henry (because this was his fault as well.) "I honestly do not care about their marital issues," she added frankly before casting a cleaning charm over her. |
Harold? Henry gave Althea a kind of confused look. Everyone knew who he was, especially housemates and/or yearmates, so he was sure she simply misspoke, perhaps being shaken from their collision. And so he felt no need to correct her, nor would he be impolite. "Uh.. okay." While he was glad she was not hurt, it did seem like a backhanded way to say she was. "Try to be more careful next time," he added cheerfully. As in, watch where she's going. But he had more pressing matters to be concerned about. Number one was still getting his kneazle out of the swamp. And he'd like to rid his hair and clothes of the sludge thanks to the sparring poltergeists. But Althea's shrieking and Declan now being on the floor had taken his focus. At least Levi seemed to be able to hold it together, even if he did look super annoyed. "Are you alright?" he asked for the second time in just a span of several moments, this time to the older boy as he offered a hand to help him up. "I just thought maybe a summoning charm would help.." Perhaps help them both get their respective pets if they both were in the swamp. But he also watched as Miffy stormed off through the air and he couldn't help but to feel somewhat sorry for her. He really didn't like seeing girls cry, even annoying poltergeist ones. "Maybe you should go after her," he told Peeves. Or.. someone should? But he thought Peeves since they were married and all. It was kind of his job. |
Polter-Hunters (Episode 1) Normally, Olivia...would've tried to track Miffy by places Storm had terrorized... for the sake of transparency, but... now wasn't the time for uncertainties. She knew Miffy often liked to hang out around the Weasley Swamp in search of her hubby, and, to be honest... right now, that was good enough for her. Thankfully, walking the five floors down from the Portal had helped to shake out a good deal of her nerves and anxiety. It would've been much better had Rooney been able to tag along with her, but... she fully understood that he had a more important role to play in making sure people were safe. Her admiration and respect for Rooney Alexander Bronwyn, as a person, knew no bounds...and it put a little pleased smile on her face, even now, as she lead their small group down the first floor corridor towards the swamp. Wand drawn, just in case, the blonde approached the odorous mass.. "Miffy!" A single name said with the Gryffindor's usual amount of drama and theatrics... because that was the way of things. 100% theatrics, 100% of the time... And what better way to get an equally dramatic poltergal to respond? "Oooooh, Miiiiiiffy!" It was okay to laugh at her. Olivia probably did sound super silly. |
Crashing bc a) Kerri made me and b) why wouldn't I? :D Levi had left the common room with the pretense of going to help with the portal or the poltergeists or whatever it was that Hawthorne had made sure was broadcast all over the school. In truth, he'd just gone looking for his siblings, immediately, to see if there was any chance Declan could somehow find a way to get all three of them home. Not that he didn't care about the school or any of his classmates, but-- --well. He just cared about his family's safety and surviving a little bit more. Did that make him an awful person? The small group of people heading for the garbage pond wasn't hard to spot, though, and Levi found himself tilting his head to one side to try to listen in for what they were doing. Which was, of course, trying to apparently find MIFFY because this was the sort of educational experience Hogwarts was trying these days. Or today. Olivia, the crying girl from History of Magic and former Erkling hunter partner, sounded particularly excited at Hogwarts' newest addition to the curriculum. This was baffling to him because he still had the scars from the last time he'd faced Miffy and her horrible son, but whatever. He pointed his wand at himself and muttered, "Protego." "I'd recommend at least casting a shield charm," He said, approaching the group with obvious reluctance. "Not that it saved me the bruises last time I saw the Lady Miffy and her lovely son, but," Levi shrugged, trying to be casual about psychotic poltergeists, "but I do think it might have helped me keep my head attached to my body." |
Mason wondered if the poltergeist could get out of the castle and in to the grounds or if they were bound by the castle. Was that why the Headmistress had ordered to search the CASTLE from top to bottom and not the outside? Or was he over-thinking again? When he had seen some students of the polterhunt group moving away, he had followed them and once they reached the first floor, the weasley swamp to be exact he tried to figure out what this hunt for the poltergeists was all about. When Olivia, a Gryffindor girl he remembered from classes started to call out for Miffy he looked around the area trying to see if he spotted her anywhere. Hopefully she got curious by getting her name called out and came to look. However, when another student (Levi) suggested they'd use a shield charm he tried his very best to look neutral. Again, as a sixth year and being bad at shield charms wasn't exactly normal nowadays. "Are they that bad?" he asked. He was just exaggerating right? Cause Mason had never encountered the poltergeists before except for Peeves. And he was simply mischievous at that time. |
*joins* Leon nodded as The Professor told him to join the Miffy hunt and he followed Miss Phillips down from the sixth floor silently, his hand in Juno's as they stopped by the Weasley swamp.. The seventh year looked at the other two boys who were with them and he smiled as one put up a shield spell. "They are mostly harmless, they'll drop stuff on you that's for sure.. Peeves wasn't that bad.. It's been Storm who seems a bit more destructive.. " At least to his understanding.. Peeves was a nuisance.. that was for sure.. but just with little things like dropping ketchup and mustard on you while you are trying to eat. Or paint.. or water.. or gum.. Storm on the other hand.. well.. "Miffy! You around? " Leon called as well.. |
Everyone. :D It confused Olivia greatly when her peers mentioned being hurt by members of the poltergeist trio. But then again, she'd always been extremely lucky in all her polter-encounters. None of the entities had ever raised their spectral hands against her. So, in her mind, Protego! was a bit drastic, but not everyone was the same. What worked for "Olivia Phillips" might not have worked for "Levi Kenning", and that was more than okay. She already counted the Fifth Year a friend, even if he probably didn't share the sentiments. "They're offended quite easily. So, it's important to remember to be respectful, I think." Her words were meant for Mason's ears, as well. In Liv's case, she'd learned the art of manipulation from her mother at a very young age... The 'you attract more flies with honey' belief system was strong with this one. "I'm sorry you had a bad experience, Levi." Her apology was genuine, if not but an afterthought. See, Miffy was manageable on her own, but Storm was another matter, entirely. Of course, she'd not had the displeasure of coming into contact with him yet. ... Actually, who was to say how that would play out? Naturally, Miffy would choose Storm's side over hers, even if they did happen to be very good friends... That's what mothers did... And the arrival of Leon, along with his reaffirmation of Storm being more destructive, spurred an even greater belief that Miffy would not intervene if Storm chose to act against them. After a few beats of silence, Olivia turned her wand upon herself, also casting the shield charm. As well as the charm to make herself feather-light, so that if the need to run did present itself, she'd be more than prepared to make a speedy getaway. Like with so many other things, the Gryffindor praised her Duelling Club training. "I haven't had the pleasure of coming into contact with Storm yet, so I couldn't say." The walls had ears, and Liv wasn't disrespecting 'Miffy's baby'; just in case the poltergal and polterchild were circling. "It's been so very long since we've had a visit!" She continued to call out, hoping to snag her intended target's attention. |
Everyone! While everyone else chose to give their input, Levi remembered his last encounter in this very garbage pond with Miffy and Peeves and decided to cast Henshu on his shoes. The last thing he needed was to add 'I slipped on swamp water and landed on my face' as the list of embarrassments and hurts he'd endured in the past year alone when it came to the school's poltergeists. Especially when he was sure more would be added the second Miffy showed up. Levi opened his mouth then closed, looking at both Ravenclaw boys, one of which he knew was definitely older (Leon) and the other was... maybe older, too. Or perhaps the same age? It was hard to tell, sometimes. "Uhm." Olivia, on the other hand, received a smile. At least she'd followed his advice. "I think Lady Miffy's mischievious side varies depending on who she's with. With Peeves, she's, well--a poltergeist." Levi reached up to pinch the bridge of his nose with his wand-less hand. "But when she's with Storm--" He paused, considered his next words. He'd been meaning to just warn them and go get Althea and Declan but it was very clear to him now that Olivia and the other had never actually dealt with Storm. Not that they were looking for Storm, but Miffy favoured her son greatly and the polterkid knew it. "--Storm nearly buried Katerina Delgado--do you know her? She's a Hufflepuff--under suits of armor before, I don't know, enchanting all of them against us. Swords and all." His voice was flat, but his free hand balled up into a fist.. "Oh, and did I mention that he picked up Cassie McNally, flew high up with her and then dropped her?" The boy shook his head. He tried not to sound bitter, but: "Lady Miffy was there, too, and she enjoyed herself quite a bit. She enables him." And this was exactly why the only thing he'd wanted was to find his siblings and just go home. Somehow. All the professors were distracted anyway, their time would never be better than it was now. But, unfortunately, he had that pesky little thing called conscience. And that conscience could inflict a lot of guilt, if needed. "But, anyway, poltergeists are chaos so they are attracted to what they know." Levi grinned, mischievously, eyes glinting behind his spectacles. Because, maybe, it was payback time. "Anyone got any fireworks? Dungbombs?" Or would they need to wreck the place until the poltergeists decided to show up? |
Rosalyn had never imagined that she would ever WANT to find the poltergeists, but here she was, joining in on the hunt for Miffy. Well, Miffy AND Storm because it was more than probable that the two would be found together. "Wonderful thinking, Mr Kenning! Hopefully there won't be any problems, but we can never be too sure." The last thing that they needed right now was another prank to go down and someone to get injured. Sometimes they went way too far with this stuff, like what had happened with the staircase last term! That had been horrendous. This wasn't the time to think of such matters, however, so she quickly brought her mind back to the present and performed a shield charm on herself. Unfortunately Rosalyn didn't have any fireworks or dungbombs in her possession. She had no reason to, as she was a professor. Hopefully SOMEONE in the group had them. But if not, they needed another idea... She bit her lip as she thought about another way to make noise. "If no one has any fireworks or dungbombs on them, we need to find something else that would make noise. Something that we could clatter together." What could they use though? |
Mason listened while also looking around for the poltergeist. From what he was hearing, the real trouble maker was the child and the Ravenclaw frowned as he heard what the poltergeist had done to some of the other students. He didn't know the people he was talking about but no one deserved to be buried with suits of armour with the swords pointed downwards or getting dropped down from a high place. ...okay he could think of a couple who did deserve it but they weren't from this school. And only to scare them, not injure. "That all sounds aweful, thanks for warning us" he said and then grabbed his wand and took a deep concentrated breath and closed his eyes. 'You can do this, you can do this, you can do this' He said the incantation of the shield charm and perhaps it was all the pressure behind it that was not present in classes But for how long could he keep it up and how strong was it? He also didn't have any firworks or dungbombs with him but he did have a wand, and defensive spells weren't his specialty but offensive ones were. "I could lift my shield charm and use periculum to shoot red firework sparks in the air" he said. If someone else covers my back while i'm defensless that is..." He was looking at the Professor at this moment because again, he did not really trust other students with spellwork used on him if necessary. |
Patronus message for the Polter!Hunters As the students and professor were thinking up ways to attack the poltergeists, a silvery white platypus floated up to the group and spoke in Professor Marchand's thick French accent: "Myrtle told us that Peeves is in the fourth floor corridor. My group is headed there now. NO word yet on Miffy and Storm's wereabouts." Then the platypus vanished just as quickly as it had appeared. |
All you! Leon was a bit confused about why they were all doing sheild charms on themselves, true he has never seen Storm with Miffy so perhaps the two of them together were trouble, but wouldn't doing spells like that make it so they wouldn't come? Leon held his wand at the ready, but he wasn't casting spells on himself just yet.. He listened as another boy.. (Levi?) Told about what happened to a few of the kids and he couldn't help but scoff as he heard about what happened to a certain Miss Delgado.. He didn't even know the girl but he knew what she had done to his sister. He turned his attention towards Professor Newton as she spoke and then looked over at Mason Whom seemed to have the right idea.. "I can easily do red, purple or green sparks from my wand.. So you can stay safely under your sheild if you want Mason. " He said with a kind look at his fellow Ravenclaw.. Leon looked over at Olivia for a moment, "Do you wanna try to call again and I'll send up the sparks? Do you think that will work? " He asked the younger girl, she was sort of the head of the mission and he wanted to make sure she was okay with this.. He turned to look at the Patronus.. It seemed Peeves had been found but no Miffy or Storm yet! |
Sorry for the lateness. Juno listened to all of her fellow hunters' suggestions. Yes, fireworks would make a lot of sound, but they needed more than just that. They needed to make the loudest raucous they could possibly make. "We need more than just fireworks. Like Professor Newton said, we need to cause mayhem. We can take the shields and helmets from the suits of armor and beat them together. that would make a ton of noise!" Juno went over to a suit of armor, because they were everywhere, and grabbed a shield and helmet and started banging them together. CLANG! CLANG! CLANG! "See! The louder it is the more annoying and if all of us do it it will be deafening." Juno grinned at her fellow hunters, hoping they would agree with her. |
Asdfghjsfhlfjehdjfb EXCUSE YOU!? Was Leon trying to use his idea and belittle him?! If only his Head of House was here so he could point this out as one of the reasons why he disliked working in teams. Eventhough the older Ravenclaw smiled at him in a reassuring way, Mason saw it as trying to mock him. "Alright" he said, smiling back at him but his eyes looked different. They weren't smiling at all but they glared at him just like how he had glared at Dora when he had found out that she had only wanted to go on a date with him to use him as a distraction to get someone else to notice her. "Do your best" and without waiting what he was going to do, Mason turned around as a patronus landed near them. So they had found Peeves? Good. The sooner this was over the better. He then turned to the Hufflepuff Prefect and watched her grab a helmet and shield from a suit of armour. "Excellent idea!" he still thought his idea was better but since someone else wanted to use it.... Mason walked towards the beginning of the corridor to the armour that stood in the corner. Taking off the helmet and shield, Mason was surprised to find out that it was heavier than he thought it would be. Pointing his wand at the objects and casted the feather light charm on them. Ah! Better. He then began to make some noise as well "Miffy! We have things for you to throw!" just not them please ... -CLANG- -CLANG- -CLANG- |
Mr Winslow had an interesting idea. Of course the poltergeists wouldn't HEAR anything with the sparks, but if they were on this floor the sight of them might attract them. It was definitely worth a shot, and Rosalyn was about to tell him that he and Mr Kennedy could both send out sparks while she covered back up, when the patronus arrived. So the other group had discovered where Peeves was. This was good news, and hopefully they would have just as much luck in finding Miffy and most likely Storm as well. Ooooh. "Wonderful thinking, Ms Darcy! Everyone get some and make as much noise as possible. I will amplify the sound using my wand." Rosalyn would lose her shield, but she was not in the least bit concerned about that. If the poltergeists wanted to pelt things at them, she could more than take it. Her job was to protect her students. "Sonorus!" |
........ Katerina had been targeted by the poltergeists?! WHY hadn't her cousin mentioned this to her?! Slightly tiffed off by this surprising piece of information, Olivia skipped out on offering further commentary to their small assembly, figuring the History of Magic professor had it well in hand. Also, it was actually pointless for her to cast a shield charm, because there were other spells she needed to cast just now. And, unless she was going to be performing Fianto Duri (a spell that was not so successful for her), Liv need to keep her wand open for business. "There's a spell for purple fireworks." It was said loudly, because they were all talking and... Well, the Gryffindor needed to make sure she was being heard. And for anyone who knew her, it wasn't hard to be loud, nor obnoxious, when the need presented itself. "There's also Bombarda and Confringo, if we want to create a small explosions." And really, Professor Newton, were you a witch or not?! They didn't physically need firecrackers or dungbombs. Those things could be simulated with magic! Also, it if was loud noises they wanted, they could set off alarms, use the sonorous charm (in the duelling sense), bang things things together... Oh, and there was a silver platypus. With a French accent. Hello, Gaston's patronus. Apparently, Peeves had been sighted on the Fourth Floor, but honestly, this didn't help them in the slightest down on by the Weasley swamp. It was school-wide gossip that Peeves was avoiding Miffy and Storm these days... So, marital bliss was apparently not that blissful at the moment? Whatever they were fighting about, Liv felt confident they'd make up sometime. Love was love. You just didn't walk away from something like that... HADN'T THEY EVER WATCHED MOULIN ROUGE?! .... GAH! If mayhem was what they were hoping to cause, they'd definitely succeeded. The blonde's head was starting to throb with the onset of a migraine, and because of this, she couldn't help but to roll her eyes at Juno for encouraging the use of the the suits of armor. There was literally so much noise... SO. MUCH... from Juno and Mason both joining in with the clanging... and Professor Newton amplifying that noise with her own magic... THANKFULLY (sweet Merlin's hot cinnamon rolls), Olivia still had a few ear plugs stuffed down into her robe pockets from before the two month school-break... With a sigh of relief, she wasted zero time in pushing them into her ears, finding the roar of the clanging!, drastically lessened. She could still hear some noise, but... whew. WHEW. "I'll add-on to it with purple firecrackers... And I'll keep them on a loop." There were no reservations as duelling club had made her use of this particular spell flawless. And it was okay to be an individual, so she was going to do her own noise!making. No offense to anyone else. So, raising her wand up high, she narrowed her eyes slightly before letting loose a series of purple firecracker charms. |
Though Levi was very happy Professor Newton had given him praise because the need for validation from adults was strong in this one, he ultimately grew distracted by the appearance of Marchand's message. In the shape of a patronus no less. Which he knew was something that could be done but knowing something and seeing it with your very eyes were two completely different things. He blinked, trying to focus, and zooming in on the Hufflepuff prefect. Or was it the twin? It was difficult enough sometimes to keep track of the non-Gryffindor blondes at school, but--oh, there was a badge. So, the prefect one. Right. Levi nodded along to whatever they were saying because he was growing distracted by the minute, trying to make a mental calculation of the time he'd have to spend learning about the patronus charm, then practicing it long enough for it to be corporeal and then...making it convey a message all the while MAKING it sound like him. It'd take him months. Or probably years? But--poltergeists. Chaos. Right. Also, going home. No fireworks then? Or dungbombs? No? It made sense, though--him and Olivia were the only Gryffindors present. And if they didn't have any, well--surely Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs had better things to do than to spend their gold in such silly things. Surely. "Oh." He paused, then flashed a grin. "Well, as long as we got permission to utilize school property like this--" Obviously, the lack of permission would have stopped him. Obviously. When the presumable chaos began, the fifth year stuck close to Olivia because she was the only person, outside of Professor Newton, that he actually knew by name. And also because he'd have probably tried to protect her before any of the present company. Not that she looked like she needed any kind of protecting, which was fortunate. Cringing at the sound of clattering armor, maximized by the History of Magic professor's charm, Levi pointed his wand some of the armor and cast ventus at them. The jet of spiraling wind hurled one into the air before it promptly crashed on its siblings and caused a brief domino effect. Which was good news, indeed. The bad news was that he was pretty sure the only thing left of his shield charm was, strangely enough, on his calves. It wasn't like those were easy to maintain. And he was not one to do things halfway, so--"Expulso!" and maybe an armor or two went boom. Possibly, some of the floor and the wall behind the armors was affected by it, too. What was left of shield charm definitely was; Levi felt confident that it was gone. "If I end up deaf mum will for sure sue the school." He was only joking. By about fifty percent, anyway. |
They were clattering away and making as much noise as possible, but it seemed that Miffy and Storm weren't making their way over. Rosalyn had wanted to give the kids some time to try drawing them out, but they didn't have a lot of time for this. She shook her head. "I don't think this is going to work... They aren't coming. I think we should go on the hunt for them. Go up the floors until we catch sight of them. Hopefully they aren't too far from here." Because they REALLY needed the poltergeists in order to close off that portal and get rid of the monster. |
EEEP! Stay tuned for Polter-Hunters: Episode 2! .... After what felt like a straight thirty minutes of casting the purple firecrackers spell, Olivia felt drained. There'd already been some exhaustion from the debacle or getting lost before... and now... Poltergeists were not making themselves known. Unless she'd missed it with having her ear plugs in... Eyes sharp and alert, the blonde scooped out the corridor; wand lowered for now. There didn't appear to be any of the polter-trio in the area... and Professor Newton's lips were moving... Oops. Quickly digging the plugs from her ears, Liv caught the butt of the Professor's words... ....until we catch sight of them. Hopefully they aren't too far from here. Blink. Chancing a look at Levi, who was her partner-in-Gryffindor at the moment.... LIONS HAD TO STICK TOGETHER, Olivia shrugged. It'd been worth a shot, right? "I'm down to keep searching, Professor." She was down, as long as she kept to this group. Strangely enough, the thought of splitting up wasn't appealing at all; even if she could handle herself. Perhaps it was the comradery of it all. POLTER-HUNTERS UNITE.... But also, Hai Levi. Yes, you stay close. |
*follows* It felt like a while had passed which was a strange thing considering last time he'd gone poltergeist hunting, Peeves had appeared only minutes after chaos was created. But then, Storm wasn't Peeves so maybe he operated differently? All signs pointed as to yes. Levi wished he hadn't looked so relieved when Professor Newton suggested to move, but sometimes certain reactions could not be helped. He needed a break. He was not used to making things explode (or smash them against a flat surface, as it were); exhaustion was beginning to, frankly, settle in somewhat. "Alright." This was mostly to himself than to the others. "Great idea. I agree, professor." Also, the noise and the smell were... beginning to make him cranky, which was clear from the look on his face. And hungry? This was very unfortunate. He patted his side, trying to see if he'd any snacks with him, somewhere his robes or pockets. Nope. The boy did not put his wand back in its holster but stood back, for a second, admiring his work. If anything, he'd at least managed to get some target practice in. Silver linings were important. He flicked his wand one last time, the piece of metal armor he'd levitated crashing down and roughly sliding towards the actual swamp. Levi didn't turn to look at it, but looked at Olivia instead, and motioned for her to lead the way. He tried a slight, quick bow and one of the corners of his mouth pulled up: "After you." Or after the professor, maybe. Or prefect? ...Nah, he'd stick to his own house. Thanks. |
