In this spacious room, the trophy room houses the various trophies earned by students over the centuries. From plaques with the names of Student House Leaders from the last century along with House Quidditch Cup & Gobstones Champions. Along with those who earned the prestigious Special Services to the school. All the trophies displayed have been kept in special encasing to prevent further dust from ruining them. Feel free to admire the displays, but do not touch or you may find yourself stuck to them with no choice but to clean them until all evidence of fingerprints have been removed.

Nat had enough of the noise and the buys corridors today. She was actually fighting a bit of a headache. With her break from classes she decided she needed a quiet spot to hide for a bit. Maybe take a nap? The common room was out because people were always in and out, plus they were pretty loud. Her room was out, because the animals would all jump on her head. Storm and rommie friends were good at attacking the person that was in bed if no one else was in the room.
Instead she decided to duck into the trophy room. She stood there looking at all the plaques and trophies. Her name already sitting on one of them for Head Girl. If someone would have said Natalia would be on anything involving school other than a detention slip she would have told them they were nuts. Now though she stood there staring at it. Her eyes finally changing to the other items in the room she looked at each name. It was such a shame they didn't have quidditch anymore. 83 was the last one to be played here. That seemed so long ago.

Henry was simply walking and stretching his legs during this free moment in his day. Normally he'd be outside, but there had been several new things in the castle that he'd come across the past week that he wondered what else he might find by simply walking around.
The Trophy Room was nothing new to Henry, but he hadn't been in there in awhile and as he neared it he thought to just stop in. It always reminded him of Quidditch, even though it was no longer played at school, and he wanted to see the trophy that his sister once helped her team won, now that she was back to playing professionally.
He stopped in just to reminisce a little, noticing the other person in the room. "Oh, hey, Nat. What's going on today?" Was she reminiscing too? Well, he knew she was from Australia and her Quidditch playing father wouldn't be on a trophy in here, but maybe she was in for a different reason.

Her fingers touched the glass as she walked looking at the different trophies. Gobbstones and Quidditch were the main ones even though the house cups and student leaders were in there. She wondered why the school didn't have other things. Possibly theater or something arts related to compete in. Maybe none of the magical school did though. She really had never thought of it before.
Either way it didn't matter she had been there for the quiet of the room not really for the trophies. Just as she was about to find a place to sit down and just hide for awhile she heard her name. Looking to see who was the voice that carried it she smiled.
"Hey Henry, what brings you in here?" He was a sports guy so maybe he liked coming in for the trophies, maybe his name was in here with Gobstones. Her eyes turned to look at them again. "Oh not to much just popped in here for some quiet time."
On his many walks through the castle Cameron had somehow ended up in here. Hmm. He hadn't MEANT to come here. Well, he had, eventually. Not right now though. It had just so happened that he'd walked past the room and had figured it was worth having a look around. So here he was.
Trophies.
It was somewhat amusing to him that these trophies would mostly be seen by people who WERENT on them. Like, who really came here to look at their OWN name? Plus, this was mostly a group of people who HAD attended Hogwarts a while ago. He recognized quite a number of last names though.
Speaking of......
Cameron stopped in front of the Slytherin Prefects display. There she was. Nancy Hudonson. He didn't even find her at first because of her different last name. It was kind of weird to find her there to be honest. Of course he KNEW he would but still, reading her name...it would always be there. Forever.

Henry returned the smile and gave Nat a little shrug. "Nothing much. I was just more or less walking by." He casually started towards the Quidditch trophies. "I haven't been here in a while so I thought I'd stop in just to look around." And it seemed that she was pretty much doing the same thing.
"Quiet time?" He looked up briefly from trying to find the Hufflepuff Quidditch cups. "Don't tell me being Head Girl has got you running ragged," he chuckled. Just joking. He was sure it was some responsibility, but it couldn't be anything too crazy. Okay, there was a Hufflepuff one. What years were his sister here? "It's too bad my name will never get on one of these." Meaning the Quidditch cup since there wasn't Quidditch at the school.

Honestly, she was trying to find the library, but she couldn't remember what floor it was on. In fact, she couldn't even remember what floor SHE was on at the moment. So she instead took to wandering, since she still had many parts of the castle to become familiar with. This was one of them.
The young Slytherin clutched a book to her chest and walked down the hall, only pausing when she saw an open door and a glint of light caught her eye. Natalie poked her head inside and saw all the trophies, but the thing that caught most of her attention was a boy staring at one of the ones for Slytherin. She knew that boy.
"Cameron," she said proudly, sauntering into the room. "See? I remembered this time." Probably because he had to tell her twice last time.

It was a rather strange feeling, looking down at the name now. It almost felt...invasive for some reason. Which made no sense at all. But it felt like he was looking at a different part of her life. One that neither him nor his sister had played any part in. She'd still been in school too, then.
Maybe one day his own name would-
He looked up and away from the display, surprised to hear someone say his name. He hadn't made quite AS many friends yet. Actually he wasn't sure he had really made any. Which didn't mean he hadn't talked to people he liked. But friends? He wasn't sure yet. But this one, this girl he knew.
"Hello Natalie." Cameron replied, a polite smile on his lips. "Do you know anyone here?" And no, he wasn't going to comment on how she'd remembered his name this time.

She'd be honest with Henry they were friends after all, but she really wasn't in the mood to fully explain everything. It was complicated and in the end, she was the one that looked bad. She couldn't remember the exact name of it. "Is your sister on one of these trophies?" She had went to Hogwarts from what Nat remembered.

A bigger, more genuine smile appeared on her face when he remembered her name. That was good. She hadn't made any friends yet. She mostly spent all of her time with her twin brother, since he was the only person she really knew...
At his question, Natalie looked up at all the trophies. "Ermmm... I don't think so. My mum and dad didn't do quidditch. They didn't have badges either." Which was kind of LAME. Natalie wanted to be the Head Girl someday. Looked up to and admired and have a really cute boyfriend. "Do you?" she asked, returning her eyes to him. She imagined he might say yes since he seemed to be rather stuck in front of this one trophy.

Yes. He HAD in fact remembered her name.
Nodding along to her words, Cameron, too looked around at the displays again without actually reading any of the names however. Her parents hadn't played Quidditch? WHAT ELSE HAD THEY DONE WITH THEIR TIME???? Did they know what they'd missed out on?? Like, how unfair was that? People like himself wanted to play but weren't allowed to and Natalie's parents just hadn't felt like playing while at school? Okay, maybe they just hadn't been good enough.
Maybe that, yes.
"Yes. That's my mum." He pointed at the plaque that read Nancy Hudonson.
Every time she got a break from homework- which, considering it was first year and they weren't being set all that much, really meant every time she gave herself a break from reading textbooks- Sinead took the opportunity to continue touring the castle. She'd made it her personal mission to explore every inch of every room by the end of the first term, and so far she seemed to have made pretty good progress. Some areas may have been more interesting than others, but she was finding that even the corridors often had little secrets to disclose- an interesting tapestry, maybe, or a plaque recounting some event which had occurred at that very spot.
The trophy room, however, really ought to be interesting for all the right reasons. The Dances weren't an old or prestigious wizarding family, but they were large enough- her great-grandfather, a muggle-born, had produced five children. Between all their descendants, Hogwarts had seen plenty of Dances in its time. Sinead knew a couple of her cousins were here, though she scarcely knew them. Her father wasn't big on family- a sentiment which extended to his daughter, at times.
When she entered, though, she wasn't expecting quite so many people to be in the trophy room already. She fell back for a moment outside the entrance, faltering- these walks were usually her time in solitude, to clear her head. But then, she was supposed to be meeting other students, wasn't she? With a slightly forced air, she rounded the corner and sidled into the room, glancing around at the other students present with a slight frown. Oh- but she knew Natalia, the Head Girl, and then two of the others were in her house and year, not that she knew them well. Actually, she shared a dorm with Natalie, but they still hadn't talked that much.
With a slight nod to Natalia in passing- got to be polite to the Head Girl- she approached the two Slytherins from her year, just hearing the boy- she couldn't remember his name- point out his mother on one of the trophies.
"Hello," she said quietly, eyes flickering between the two of them. "Your mother played Quidditch? Are you going to try for the team, next year?" She wasn't exactly hot on small talk- even she could feel that had been a bit of an awkward way to join the conversation, but there wasn't a whole lot she could do about it now. She'd said what she'd said.
Walking by, well that wasn't out of the ordinary for anyone she supposed. She had been walking around when she decided to come in for a bit of quiet. "Aren't jocks usually more of the outside working out types? " Of course she was just joking, but he wasn't too cold yet. Her eyes moved to where he was looking and she walked over closer to him. Seeing which trophy is was she nodded, "You are pretty good, right? You play for that other league." She couldn't remember the exact name of it. "Is your sister on one of these trophies?" She had went to Hogwarts from what Nat remembered.
Outside might often be preferable, but it wasn't as if Henry actually lived outside. He had to be inside sometimes, like to go to classes. But he could tell that Nat was joking. ""Some are, I guess," he chuckled. "I like being outside, I just haven't gotten that far yet." He'd probably end up there at some point today.
Eyes still searching the trophies, Henry looked up at Nat’s words. “Some things still change, I think. There’s still the House Cup and Gobstones… plus aren’t the prefects listed in here too?” He wondered if hers was already in here and how that might feel to see one’s own name. But yeah, it did seem like something was missing without current Quidditch cups.
He chuckled too as she did, since he was joking anyway, but the small laugh sort of faded at her words. "Oh.." He gave her an understanding nod. "Yeah, I get that.." He wasn't really avoiding anyone, but he could kind of understand the feeling. "That really sucks. I'm sorry." He wasn't even sure who her boyfriend was, but breakups were usually rough.
"Yeah, I guess I'd say I'm pretty good," he grinned. He wouldn't have made the team he did if he wasn't. She didn't know the name of the league? That was curious as he thought it rather simple and most people did know of it. Or at least he thought. "It's the Under 17 league. I play for England. I take it you never came to a game then?" he added with a chuckle. No big deal, but a lot of his friends did go to at least a game or two over summer.
"I know she is somewhere," he said in regards to his sister. "She told me that the year she graduated Hufflepuff won the Quidditch cup, the House cup, and the Gobstones cup." A pretty amazing feat, one would have to admit. But... what year was that?

She laughed, Henry was one of those boys that got her jokes and her sarcasm most days. It was probably why she didn't mind when he showed up around her.
To bad he was so much younger..
"Yeah, but it's still just weird not seeing updated quidditch. Not that I'd play or anything." She knew enough that would, though. Her broom was sitting getting no use really. "Yes that trophy is right there." She walked a bit away and pointed to the one with her name on it. "Kind of weird to think about students years from now seeing my name on here." Maybe they would be excited like she was to have her name with Barrington and Odessa.
His condolences were appreciated. "Thanks, it stinks, but I'll get over it." She just didn't want to run into him or Tallyn at this point. Her eyes moving back to the trophies as he spoke of the league he was in. "Nah, quidditch really isn't my thing. I try, I even have a broom. Joe had it custom made for me. I just can't seem to get into the whole quidditch thing though." She kept up with Joe and his progress, but as for the other teams and actually going to games. That was a very different story. "Maybe we can go to a Catapults game this season together." That could be fun.
"Oh wow, so Hufflepuff was really awesome back in the day." A tiny smirk was on her lips, because since she had gotten here Slytherin seemed to be on top most of the time. At least for the house cup.

The Slytherin girl was just about to ask if Cameron wanted to play quidditch too, but someone had already beat her to it. "Oh, hi," Natalie said to the newcomer. Yes. That was his mum.
And Natalie had gotten the name right eventually so he wasn't going to comment.
Nodding he was about to add something else when they were joined by...someone new. Someone he'd SEEN around but hadn't really paid attention to so far. No offense. He was just really good at being ignorant of other people's existence occasionally. But he WAS trying to make an effort here. Friends were important to have after all. Especially seeing as he was here by himself. And all the people here he did know were waaaay older than him.
Or sort of older than him.
Two people at a time was a lot more effort though. Not that he minded per se. As long as they weren't being difficult. "Hi." He even gave the new girl a smile while running a hand through his hair. "She...did." How did she know? "She was a Prefect too, though!" He pointed to the display next to him again. BACK TO QUIDDITCH THOUGH! "I want to play! And in summer I'll hopefully be allowed to get my own broom too!" HE BETTER! He'd be old enough and everything.
"Do you like Quidditch?" Since they were on topic here.

Both of the others seemed a little taken aback by her appearance, but they weren't exactly outright hostile, so... no harm done right?
Being a prefect was distinctly more impressive than playing Quidditch, in Sinead's view; she perused the trophy with interest, wondering if she'd get her name on anything in here one day.
Well- she definitely would, if she could do anything to influence it. She was determined to take Hogwarts by storm.
"I... don't really care about it. My dad does a bit, and my stepbrother, but I prefer normal lessons to flying. I guess flying is useful to get around, though." Was that rude? She had no idea if that was rude. "It would be cool to be on the team, though. I hope you do well- it would be good if Slytherin won." That much, at least, she could get behind- house pride was always a strong consideration. "Oh- and I'm Sinead, by the way, I don't know if I remember your names so you might not remember mine." Fair was fair; most Slytherins weren't the sort to get upset about that kind of thing.

Oooh, his mum played quidditch AND was a prefect? That was cool. "I wanna be Head Girl," Natalie chimed in with a beaming smile. Her mum and dad never had any badges, which was fine. But Natalie was determined to be the perfect student and never get into ANY trouble. That way, she'd get a shiny badge and her name would be on a shiny plaque for all the rest of Hogwarts History to see.
"My mum thinks quidditch is dangerous," she said when Cameron asked if they liked it. "It's fun to watch, though." Flying seemed a bit scary, however. She was a little nervous for her first flying lesson at school. Natalie didn't even know if she wanted her own broom just yet.
Well. That was a little awkward.
"I want to be Head Girl, too," Sinead said, flashing a smile at Natalie which was equal parts fun camaraderie and I will defeat you at any cost rivalry.
Welcome to Slytherin!
Probably best to move on with the conversation before things got any more confrontational, then. She nodded in agreement with Natalie's words- her mum didn't really know much about Quidditch, but if she did she'd definitely find it too dangerous.
"It seems stupid, with the bludgers and everything. Sometimes people still get really badly hurt even if there are Healers right there on the scene." Didn't somebody die once? Probably, knowing the wizarding world and some of the idiots who played Quidditch. "It's useful to know how to fly, anyway... sometimes it's the only way to get around if you can't Apparate and it's not connected to the Floo Network."
It was weird and it was a shame, but there wasn't anything that could be done about it. "I used to really hope that Quidditch would come back while I was here, but it doesn't look that way at all." He only had two years left here and he hadn't heard any talks about it from his mother, so that meant it probably wasn't coming back next year. He wasn't really holding out hope for his seventh year either. But at least he got to play real games over summer.
He turned, then followed Nat the few steps over to the trophy. "Wow, that's actually really cool." It was a little surreal to think about other students years from now looking at different names of the past. "Especially if you become famous." She was in a band after all. She might be a famous singer some day. And it was a low-key thought of his own to have people know his name because of Quidditch, though he wasn't sure his name would ever be on one of these, especially without Quidditch being played at school.
Henry nodded, not really sure what else to say. Breakups did stink, especially when it wasn't what one of the people wanted. Feelings still lingered and were sometimes hard to get over. He was still having a time with his own feelings even if he was trying really hard to move on. He chuckled at Nat's next words. "Yeah, I remember you telling me that. I think when I first met you, you had barely even been on a broom." It was funny to think about her coming from a Quidditch family and not really being into it, but he also knew that she had her own set of circumstances. And then he grinned a bit wider. "Yeah, that'd be fun. I usually go to the game they have during Christmas break when I'm home." It was just too bad that the entire season was when they were at school or he would go a lot more.
Was it 2077? Henry stopped in front of that particular Quidditch trophy as it belonged to Hufflepuff and quickly tried to do some mental calculations. That could be about the year his sister would have graduated and he looked for her name as he grinned at Nat's words. "Sure seemed that way. Hufflepuff still is pretty awesome, of course." Not that they could win any Quidditch cups currently and they haven't won the house cup in a little while, but he didn't put a lot of stock in the house cup race anyway.

Daisy always felt slightly homesick around her birthday. Maybe it had something to do with it being her birthday since it obviously brought up memories of birthday parties past. Maybe it was because she hadn't been home since January, so almost four months. She loved it here, but whenever the end of April approached, sometimes she got a little blue.
That was why she had decided to come here as soon as the letter from home had arrived.
As soon as she had entered the room, she had made a beeline towards the House Leaders display, eyes looking for those familiar names. Yeah, she didn't need to look for them. She knew where their names were already. She was going to read this letter in the place where she felt her parents' presence the most -- which, strangely enough, it wasn't the Common Room, but this room.

... that was what sixteen-year-old did, right?
Matt's plan had been to go outside and make the most of the weather. He had enjoyed running in the snow, but being outside when it was springtime was much, MUCH better.
HOWEVER, he saw HER going up the stairs when he was about to leave the Entrance Hall. He had just come from up there, but hey, if he was looking to exercise a bit, going up and down the moving staircases could be counted as a good cardio.
And SO he followed HER. In a non-creepy way, of course. Had she looked back, she would've noticed him, as Matt was making no effort to try and hide. In fact, he was being his usually loud self. Daisy seemed to be in a world of her own, though, and the Gryffindor wondered if she would freak out once she realised he was right behind her.
Waiting at the door of the trophy room, Matt watched as she went straight to a particular place, as if she had come up there just to see... whatever that was. "Admiring some of your awards?" He asked, half-genuinely, half-jokingly. He couldn't remember if he had ever seen or heard a mention of her name when awards were being presented before they met.
But then again, he never quite paid attention to those things.
Daisy hadn't noticed anything at all. She was completely enthralled by the letter she held in her eyes. If she had known that someone was watching, maybe she wouldn't be laughing so freely at the words on the parchment, eyes wrinkling happily. So life back at home was still chaotic, that was good to know.
It looked as if Matt had timed his words perfectly, because as soon as she reached the signatures -- little Evangeline had learned how to write her name!! --, Daisy heard his voice and turned to face him. How long had he been there? And how had he found her? She watched him closely for a moment as if trying to figure that out, before shrugging it off. Matt always had a way of finding her, it was amusing. Finally, she grinned cheekily at the Gryffindor. "Do you really think they'd give me any awards?" They should, though, let's be real.

Daisy seemed to be enjoying that letter a lot, and for some reason that made Matt feel slightly weird as he wondered who it was from. Hopefully her family.
Yeah, it was definitely from her family. Yeah? Yeah.
She had now turned to look at him and seemed to be trying to figure something out, so Matt caaasualllyyyyy... grinned. Who was worried about anything, him? NahhHHHhHHhh. He was chill.
"I would." Juuuuuust sayin'. Matt could give her a list of awards she was worthy of, but now THAT would be creepy, even Matt thought that. So he didn't. "What's that you've got there?" He asked curiously. Butting in much?
Daisy rolled her eyes lightly, part exasperated, but mostly amused. Folding her letter in half, she sent him a pointed look. "Well, yeah. But you have a tendency to be extra nice to me." Actually, nice didn't really cut it. He had a tendency to be extra flirty with her but she wasn't about to say that to his face. Nope. She probably would have before but now things were different.
Maybe it was because she was older. More mature, one could say.
But probably wouldn't.
When he asked about the letter, she quickly glanced down at it before shrugging. "A letter from home." She was still over by the display and he was still by the door, showing no signs of wanting to approach her. He was probably going somewhere or something. "I sort of wanted to read it here." It might be a bit odd but she wasn't really bothered by that. Infact, she was pretty sure that Matt wouldn't find that odd, at all. She paused for a second, watching him closely, before finally giving in. "Are you ... just gonna stand there?"
