"Oh, and here I was, ready to take that bet." Not that she needed to prove anything; she just couldn't resist a challenge. She tilted her head a little and peered at him carefully. "A gentleman all the time? Or just when it suits you?" He definitely was more interesting than the other boys she'd encountered. They were all bark and no bite.

His comment threw her off guard--so much so, that she had to turn her face quickly. This was why she was grateful for her hair: it hid her shame. Feeling her face and ears burn, Althea tried to remain calm and in control. "Ha!" It fell out of her mouth before she realized, and she had to cough a little to try and force her smile away. "You're that sure, huh?" She liked to think that she had a little more restraint than that. Or did she? "I've definitely got more will-power than the other girls that probably fawn after you." She honestly didn't know if that was a true statement, but she stood by it.

After feeling like she's gained total control over her face, she turned to look at him. "Levi Kenning. He's a fifth year, and pretty hard to ignore if you ask me." And excruciating pain in her bum, to be more specific. She smiled prettily and batted her eyelashes, "I only take interest in interesting people, and seeing as you're interesting then, of course I'm going to monopolize your time." She didn't see any problem with occupying anyone's time whenever she pleased.

"Well I can't give a definite answer on that. I'd say that was up to others to do decide but I'd hope people thought I was a gentleman all the time." If it came to a vote he was sure that he would lose however. Heh. Oh well. The important thing to him was those who mattered, knowing he was good.

Bentley chuckled. There was the tell tale signs of a blush. He didn't give her a hard time about it though. "Yep, I am that sure about it. It's tested and proven." He flashed her another smile. "You know, I don't have that many girls doing any 'fawning'." Most people knew by now that he and Chloe were dating.

"Levi?!! I didn't know he was your brother." Bentley laughed. Wow..well he supposed they weren't sharing dorms that long. Not like he and Blaise who were in the same dorm since their first year. "Well now that you've said it, I can see the resemblance."Hmmmm that could and would most certainly get him in trouble with a certain blonde.

"All of my time?"

"As shameless as you are, I'm sure you're a gentleman when it suits you." This didn't negate his niceness, however. "It's not a bad thing, though. It means you're more interesting than I thought." After all, what could she do with a gentleman? Nothing. She was too much of a thrill-seeker for that.

"Please," she said, raising an eyebrow at him. "If that's so true then how come I'm all the way over here and not throwing myself into your arms?" It didn't seem like such a solid theory to her. Then again, Althea was steeling herself in case her body got the wrong idea and started acting on it's own. "You really do need to look up the definition of flirting, y'know."

Eyeing him sharply, because she didn't quite believe that claim, she wondered just how good his girlfriend was at keeping others at bay. Giving him a small shrug, she replied. "You probably don't notice is all." That and she'd seen just how nasty overbearing significant others could be.

Even though she rolled her eyes--Levi clearly was more popular than she thought--Althea smiled. "Yeah unfortunately, he is. He's alright, I guess." She was surprised whenever people didn't see the resemblance right away; the Kennings had pretty strong genes, she thought. "You guys friends or somethin'?" If they were, then she was bound to run into trouble. Levi was such a busybody. "Yes, all of it. Is there a problem with that?"

"When it suits me is right." To be fair a lot of people didn't deserve the courtesy, so he was glad that he was a bit frugal with who he extended his to.

Bentley smirked. "You've called me interesting at least three times now, I'm starting to think that you more than tolerate my company. You might even like it." He waggled his brows at her." Don't worry you're not alone, most people seem to like my company." He was teasing of course.

The fifth year chuckled. "Easy. That is because I'm not flirting. If I turned on the charm I'm sure you just wouldn't be able to help yourself." He shook his head. "I know what flirting is...and I think you're guilty of it." Gives her a pointed look.

"Maybe..or maybe they just don't." Either way, he didn't care.

Hogwarts was a smaller place than he thought. " He's our dorm mate. I mean, he's alright. Not a bad guy."

Problem? Yes there is a problem. "I don't think Chloe would appreciate that."

Althea rolled her eyes playfully, a small smile forming on her lips. Her expression changed once he accused her of liking his company and, even worse: he'd accused her of flirting. She was so shocked (!!!) and her face mirrored her surprise, with her lips opening to form a small O and her eyes widening.

"Thats...," True? An unnecessary observation??? "Not true, I have no idea what you're talking about." Her face continued to betray her--her cheeks were hot--and she tried (and failed) to regain her composure. "And besides, even if I was--which, I wasn't--it wouldn't be an issue for me. I'm not in a relationship."

So, really, the true offender was Bentley. She'd be sure to remember this for later. Grateful that they were talking abt Levi, Althea inhaled deeply and released any unecessary feelings as she exhaled. "That's not the usual response people give about him." Though, she supppsed, it might have to do with the fact that the ones who spoke positively about him were girls. Typical.

"So you do need permission to play, huh," she raised her brows at that.
