Having to share the same floor as Gaston's has its perks too. During his student days, there was no such thing as Bistros...or unusual places to hang out inside Hogwarts. Although most of the rooms and decorations are still the same, introduction of new rooms such as Gaston's bistro was very welcome. Not the type to coop himself up in his office, River took another quick inspection of his ward, placed all the necessary protective charms on the doors, and took a few calm strides to reach this special nook.
Merlin, Gaston outdid himself this time, hmm? He should've brought Roscoe and Bumi along, but he had a feeling that Gaston won't be a fan of flying fur; shedding month and all. River showed himself in and made a beeline for the tea. He made himself a cup, and gathered at least three pieces of madeleines. It looked like it was the healthiest option out of the bunch anyway. After gathering his snack, he made himself comfortable in one of the chairs and took a sip of his tea.
Well...it wasn't anything special. Just...ordinary tea, which is fine. He didn't expect Gaston to have a wide array of teas because that was him. He's the King of Tea. Tea Master. The Uncle Iroh of Basing Se. Yep.
River took a bite of his snack, and nodded in approval. Welp, he should've brought something to read at least. He felt rather awkward sitting there all by himself.

Being up on the sixth floor had it's perks. There was a lovely view of the grounds from her office which was undoubtedly her favorite part of it. One problem was it was far from both the Great Hall as well as the kitchen should she get hungry and even though she did offer some snacks outside her own office it was nice to get away from there from time to time.
Camilla had heard all about the special rooms some of of her colleagues had set up. Having some free time this morning she choose to check one of these places out. Starting with The Bistro on the third floor. Relaxed even strides brought her closer as she made her way down the hall, Bonsai following alongside her as per usual his ears flicking at each sound.
Pushing the door open and stepping inside Cami took in the small but very nicely set up Bistro. Gaston most certainly knew what he was doing when he decorated in here. She made a mental note to compliment him on it as well as to tell her cousin to check it out. Light brown eyes fell upon the only other person in the room and she smiled warmly. "Hello, River. Enjoying the quiet?" she asked conversationally making way for the coffee. Fixing herself a cup and collecting a Macaron or two.
A quick glance over her shoulder showed that her furry companion had trailed off to inspect River just as she expected him to. Bonsai had sat himself down close by and was watching the man, tail flicking back and forth excitedly. "Oh, don't mind him he assumes everyone will play with him." It was how the cat was. Incredibly friendly and attention seeking.

River quietly chewed on his snack, his mind obviously somewhere else as he looked out the window. Mentally, he arranged his tea collection in his head, and wondered what kind of infusion he will do next. Some of the mixes he made were hits...while most were misses and he felt a bit bad vanishing a cup of wasted tea.
It didn't take long for him to have company, and River was quick to look at the newcomer, and offered his colleage a warm smile, "Hello, Camilla." he said nodding his head toward her and waited for her to join him. "Definitely yes, if you meant a peaceful hospital wing." he chuckled as he picked another biscuit and popped a piece in his mouth. After sipping his tea and putting back his cup on the saucer, River looked up at Camila and returned the question. "You? How was your first day of teaching?" he asked curiously, obviously wanting to start a nice conversation with her.
If the Transfiguration professor didn't hint that she was not alone, River would've totally ignored her pet. Blinking, he looked down at the floor and grinned at the cat that stared back at him. "So this is Bonsai?" he asked without averting his gaze from the cat. River instinctively reached out a hand- palms up, inviting the cat towards him. "You should meet Roscoe and Bumi some time, I had to keep them in my office for now since they are shedding so much at the moment." How many times had he vanished mountains of fur this morning? He lost count already...

With her coffee and plate of macarons in hand, Camilla settled herself into the seat across from him. This was much easier then standing and continuing to talk or sitting at a completely different table. She was not at all one to be rude especially when she had been the one to greet the man in the first place. "I did," she laughed softly lifting her mug of coffee and taking a small sip. "Hopefully no one has needed your assistance as of yet?" It would be awfully sad if someone had gotten themselves injured or was ill already only two days into the school term. "I believe it went well. The students seemed rather attentive." A smile crossed her lips at his interest in her day.
Most would learn that where Cami was so was Bonsai. It wasn't very often that she was without the cat. "It is. He's very friendly and playful," she replied with a nod of her head watching the cat in question instantly rise to all paws and move forward brushing his head up into River's outstretched hand. Taking a moments pause to break off a bit of macaron to nibble on she nodded again in reply so she could swallow her snack first. "I'll make sure that I do. I love dogs, so does Bonsai." The cat liked anything and anyone who would play with him. "That must be rough but at least you can magically take care of the fur rather then having to do so by hand." Imagine all the hours he'd spend caring for them if he weren't magical?!

Theres a bistro at the Charms floor now?......
Tenacius peeked in from the doorway, unsure of what he's seeing. It could be a very clever illusion, this is the Charms area after all, but then his nose could smell that delectable aroma and his tummy rumbled in confirmation-- this place is real.
Thing is.... are students allowed in here? He could see some of the Professors there chatting away, maybe this is a Professors only place where they could earn some reprieve from bothersome students like himself....

Why was there a Bistro in the middle of Hogwarts? Natalia found this super odd. They weren't in Uni, they weren't at a hotel, they weren't working at a job, so why the Bistro? She really probably wouldn't have even come near it with everything being in the Kitchen or the Great Hall, but she was in need of coffee and was on the third floor.
So now she was near the Bistro and going to head in, but it wasn't before she saw professors there and a groan left her lips. Did she really want to go in and be social? She could go for coffee in the kitchen, but that meant going back down stairs when she was headed up.
Her eyes sat on another student, "Hey Ace, you here for coffee too?" He might be or maybe one of the food items, but the more she looked at him the more she wondered if he didn't want to go be social either.

It was typical that Rosalyn would catch a bug right after the start of term. Even though she had a pretty good immune system, she DID catch the occasional flu, and it looked like this was one of those times.
Trying hard not to sneeze, she made her way towards the bistro. She wanted to experience French food even if she was sick, and the Hospital Ward was nearby in case she ended up deciding that she needed River to give her some potion. For the moment, she would treat herself with some tea and madeleines as they seemed to be the easiest on her stomach at the moment.
After carefully helping herself (while making sure not to spread on her germs), Rosalyn took a seat and began to eat.

"ACHOO!"
Gaston poked his head into the bistro, just to check in on things and maybe offer to help out the house elves if they needed it. Bright blue eyes scanned the room; everybody seemed to be enjoying themselves. Good! He'd started to turn away when he heard a sneeze. Uh oh, that didn't sound good!
He suddenly wheeled around, wondering which of his dear students was sneezing. His eyes fell to Rose. When had she shown up? He silently berated himself for not greeting her before. Some boyfriend you are... He couldn't help but notice that she looked a little peaked, and it had him worried. Should he send for River?
He was at her side in an instant and pulled up a chair to sit beside her. "Rose, are you alright?" he asked, his eyes growing wide with concern.

So there were still attentive students nowadays? That wasn’t the case when he was a student in Hogwarts. He often found the subjects boring, given that he’d read all his books prior to the start of term. “Mm, that is good news then.” He said grinning at Cami. “I’ve had difficulty with the subject to be honest, while my older brother seemed to be natural with the discipline. It was frustrating!” he said with a chuckle as he picked up his tea cup once more and sipped his drink. “Well, I’ve had visitors already...but nothing too serious.” He said, taking another sip of his tea to hide his little white lie. As a Healer, he cannot talk about his patients with the others. Those were very confidential.
River chuckled as he gently brushed Bonsai’s head and neck. “I can see that. Not all felines are friendly. They tend to stick to their owners most of the time.” He said giving Bonsai a rub behind his ear. “Roscoe and Bumi would be delighted to meet new faces. They’ve really come out of their shells.” He added as he clasped his hands together and placed it on his lap. River was about to say something when he heard someone sneeze. His Healer antenna was quick to pinpoint the source and he discreetly eyed his colleague, Rosalyn, from where he was sat. It only took seconds for Gaston to show up and he was already making sure that his girlfriend was okay. “A potential patient, I suppose?” River grinned at Cami once more as he picked up his last madeleine and popped it in his mouth. As much as the Healer wanted to check on Rosalyn right away, he had the courtesy not to since he didn’t want to intrude their...lowkey date. He trusts that both of his colleagues will see him if things went further downhill.
As he returned his attention back to his companion, River did a double take and gave both the badged students a friendly grin. They were more than welcome inside the Bistro, just in case they’re not aware?

He saw a few more Professors walk in through the threshold.... yeah this is prooooobably a fancy Teachers lounge or someth--
"Head Girl Nat...." well he didnt expect to bump into her here "... Hiiiii... uh coffee?" Did he coffee? Well he does now "Yeah coffee uhuh." he nodded his head cheerfully. Coffee with Head Siren Hubba hubba he's not saying no to that ok? If she asked if he'd like a drink of pepto-bismol he'd say yes.
He entered the bistro, and meandered his way to the counter, he caught the look from the Healer dude and he smiled instead. So they good to be here yeah? Or maybe its the badge-- WHO CARES THEY GET TO EAT YAAAS.
"Two coffees please and... an apple pie...?" he's hungry ok? But he looked to the Slytherin brunette and wondering if she's ok with that or if she wanted something else.

Her eyes never lingered back to the professors though she did notice the new healer. Not really her type in cuteness unless he had some hidden tattoos or something? Though being a healer made her think of a certain other healer and then her need for coffee came even stronger. She couldn't have those conflicting thoughts without more caffeine in her system. A chuckle left her lips at his greeting. "You know you can just say Nat, right?" The boy was cute and helped her ego a bit, but really she didn't need to hear Head Girl every time she saw him.
"Good you can sit with me, I always hate sitting alone in certain places." This was one of them, because if she sat alone the professors would certainly talk to her then and now maybe they wouldn't thinking she was talking badge talk with the younger lion. Though that might bring them over to talk too. It seemed like a no win situation really.
Hearing one of the professors sneeze she hoped the germs weren't spreading too much. Nat did not want sick. She had so much going on this term sick was not one of them.
As she walked with Ace to the counter and saw that he ordered for her she looked at him mildly impressed. "Someone been teaching you how to treat a girl?" Ordering things for them, what a cutie. He'd go far in the dating world acting like this. Oh and apple pie, well the seventeen year old was only going to do coffee, but she wouldn't say no to the apple pie. "Sounds good to me."
Professor Sokolov had grown on her. It was surprising to the Gryffindor witch for his first class nearly a year ago had left her feeling uninspired and almost dreaming of higher learning. However, she'd come to the conclusion (after much thinking, ignoring, writing, watching and study) that the Professor was adequate enough at his work to interest her.
She had begun to come to him often with questions she couldn't find answers to in standard textbooks and the conversations that followed were not as stimulating as others she had had on the topic, but Aslan found them to be worth the time she'd spent.
Today, the curiosity driven Aslan Evans had caught up with the professor to ask him his opinion on wards.
"Runic Wards." She said, after a just-polite-enough hello. "I've seen people wear them as tattoos, can they be used that way?" Aslan asked, head tilted just to the side as she walked along with Sokolov. What sort of name was that? Polish? Estonian? She almost asked aloud, but that conversation would lead to more personal notes of which Aslan did not care for.

Henry did have good intentions today to work on his charms. Any class with spellwork was likely to be a favorite of his as he did like magic as was always eager to learn new spells. But as intentions were, sometimes his did not come to fruition especially when schoolwork was involved. And especially as he was known to be easily distracted.
The source of his distraction as he walked down the third floor corridor towards the charms practice room was the smell of food wafting towards him. That was strange. There wasn't usually food allowed in classrooms... Was this a new room? Henry slowed as he caught sight of the new addition and hung in the doorway a moment. What was this place?

Whooooah.
Rose was more out of it than she had thought, as she hadn't even realized anyone else was in the room until Gaston had joined her. A smile formed on her lips as she was happy to see him, but she didn't like the worried look on his face. Neither did she like the thought of passing whatever she had on to him or the students. She was being as careful as possible to keep that from happening.
"I'm fine," she said, her voice coming out rather hoarse. Rosalyn cleared her throat. "Just got a bug. I really don't want to pass it on to you." She would feel horrible if he became ill, but she knew that he wouldnt care if that happened. Also she wanted him to look after her despite being worried. "River's right here," she added a moment later as she finally noticed him. There was Cami as well! And a few students.
Wow. Rosalyn hoped that they didn't think she was ignoring them!

Always with the questions. Which is why stopping at the Bistro was probably the only smart idea he has had today. What Gaston had to do to make this possible. Viktor did not want to know. Just he was going to take advantage of it until it was gone. He was still amazed Hawthrone allowed this.
"I have yet to see a complex ward tattoo actually work. Causes more harm to the person since its easy for something to go wrong. But simple and double wards yeah they work. It all depends on the runes you pick and for what purpose"
He was not going to bring up his runic tattoos so best keep it to wards. He was never one to ask why she brought this up. But really he did not care and was fine answering.
"More popular is just getting tattoos of singular runes. Like Algiz. That's a popular one.
His was Gebo.

Merlins creaky left kneecap! When did this get here?
Leon had been at Hogwarts now for his entire schooling and now there was a bistro in the Charms corridor? Chinese Fireballs what a great idea was that! He was going to have to tell Professor Marchand what an awesome idea this was!
The older boy had come down to ask the Professor about a few charms but this was so much better!
Was he drooling?
The Grey eyed boy was inconspicuously checking his mouth for unwanted drool when he noticed another boy had joined him in the doorway.. He looked mildly familiar, but then again Leon was awful with names and faces. Something he really needed to work on..
"Brilliant idea this, yeah? " He said conversationally to the new arrival.

He'd go far in the dating world acting like this. Oh and apple pie, well the seventeen year old was only going to do coffee, but she wouldn't say no to the apple pie. "Sounds good to me."
"Oh ok Head-- Nat " the Curly Top caught himself at the last moment and grinned excited-but-not-being-TOO-obvious-about-it. Because nothing creeps out superstar crushes more than creepy fanboys ok? Ok.
She hates sitting alone? He looked at her inquisitively, clearly sitting alone didnt bother him, heck he wasnt even aware that it was a thing until she spoke about it "Why?" he asked with a curiosity of a child.
That apple pie... was only for himself-- BUT given the look on the Head Girl's face means he's on the right track. "Well... House of Chivalry?" he replied grinning. "Two apple pies please." he amended their order and went to collect them. Dating Class 101 with your Hogwarts Prefects commencing.

At this point in the term Camilla chalked up the students attentiveness to being curious about the type of Professor she was. She was one to teach in a comfortable relaxed setting and allowed the students to be themselves. When it came to the spell work however she liked for everyone to be on their best behavior and paying complete attention. Cami was strict when she had to be. She nodded her head laughing softly when River admitted he had had trouble with the subject back in school. "Most find that they do have some trouble with it but once you know how to draw your focus in and be able to block out everything else but what you're aiming for it's not so bad." Surely River had figured it out as Transfiguration was used by Healers from time to time. Breaking off another piece of her snack and popping it into her mouth she took a few sips of her coffee to wash it down. "That's good. I hope nothing to serious comes your way." No one wanted to hear about very ill or injured children.
"Oh, not this guy. Everyone is always tested by him. Now that you've petted him once he'll expect pets from you all the time," Cami laughed softly. Her cat was much more like a curious toddler then a cat, always getting himself into mischief and making friends. "Well then if Roscoe and Bumi would like it then I really must get myself down the Hospital wing and meet them both." Bonsai could come along too. With any luck the three would get along and become friends. It could happen. The sneeze from someone didn't go unnoticed by the professor as well and she turned slightly to see where it had come from. "Bless you," she recited naturally as she saw the source of the sneeze was from Rosalyn who was sat at a nearby table. A warm smile was given to her and Gaston whom quickly joined her.
Taking a few more sips of her coffee she set it back down on the table. Those that were just entering the Bistro were given a smile in greeting. Her attention was drawn back onto River however as they were seated at the same table. "You attended Hogwarts for a short time, yes?" she believed they had attended at the same time but he was in the year below or something like that.

Gaston raised a skeptical eyebrow at Rose's answer. She didn't seem fine at all - as a matter of fact she seemed a little dazed - but he wasn't going to argue with her; she knew herself a lot better than he did. He reached into his jacket pocket for a handkerchief and gave it to Rose in case she needed to sneeze again. "So are you enjoying the food?" he asked, trying to change the subject. He smiled back at her, but that worried look never left his eyes. He knew this was probably nothing serious, but he didn't like seeing his Rose sick!
"Do you need anything else?" Like chicken soup, maybe? He didn't know what it was with colds and soup, but he remembered his mother always gave him some when he was sick. Surely he could get one of those sweet little house elves to make some chicken soup for Rose. Now if only he could find one that wasn't too busy... As his bright blue eyes searched the room for a house elf, he took off his jacket and draped it over Rose's shoulders as a makeshift blanket.
Gaston took his love's hand in both of his own and gave it a little kiss, just to show her that getting sick was the last thing on his mind right now, and he couldn't help but notice that she felt a little warmer than usual. Or maybe he was just imagining it... He held a hand to Rose's forehead like a parent checking a child's temperature. "Oh, Rose, you're burning up!" he exclaimed. "Maybe River should have a look at you."
Where was River anyway? He thought he saw him here a minute ago... Gaston's eyes scanned the room to find the healer seated at a table with Cami. He returned Cami's smile with a halfhearted one of his own as he gave River a look that said, 'Come over here, now!' It was nothing personal; he was just worried about his Rose!

His eyes were still on the arrangement and sights of the room, but Henry did notice the boy in the doorway too. An older boy, probably a seventh year, but Henry didn’t know him. Unless they were in his year, or the year above or below, or a Hufflepuff, he didn’t likely know them, though there were plenty of exceptions. But he did seem to stick with his own circle of friends, even if he was a very friendly boy.
Brilliant? Yeah, he supposed so and he gave the boy a half shrug and agreeable nod. At the very least, it caught his interest. “What is this, some sort of restaurant?” he asked the older boy, though he seemed to be just as awestruck as he was. “You want to go in and see? I’m getting awfully hungry standing here,” he chuckled. Plus, it looked like there were some video games to play in here too. Awesome!

Had she ever truly talked to this boy before? Nat wasn't sure, but she was glad she ran into him today. He as all kinds of adorable and exactly what she needed at the moment. Just someone there having a good time. She smiled as he corrected himself. "Here" She pulled out money not sure how much things were in this place or if the professor had it just set up for their enjoyment. If it was to pay she'd pay for both of theirs. Her two summer jobs had her very well in the stash for the term, plus good ol' dad sent her with some as well.
Finding them a seat she just gave a shrug, "I spent a lot of my childhood alone. So now that I'm here and know lots of people I hate sitting alone if I don't have to. Most of my alone moments when I get overwhelmed or have trouble I will go and hide in my dorm or down at the stables." She knew better then to think a place like this was where to be alone, so she'd rather have someone to sit with. Leaning closer she whispered, "Plus when you sit alone people ask you all the time if you are okay or like here professors will start wondering if something is wrong. Don't want to give them that idea, right?" She winked and chuckled a bit.
The house of chivalry, "I've been looking at these houses all wrong. To think all the guys I've dated have been in Slytherin." A chuckle leaving her lips, it wasn't false she had only dated Slytherins since coming to Hogwarts, but they were gentlemen at times at least once in awhile. "Thank you for ordering me a pie as well." It never dawned on her that he had only been ordering for himself. Either way it was fine they both had food and drinks now.

Rosalyn could tell that Gaston wasn't sure about her answer judging by the look on his face, but fortunately he wasn't saying anything on the matter, instead asking about the food. "It's very magnifique," she said in a - probably - butchered attempt at French. That was how you said magnificent? In her state of mind she wasn't even sure... With a small smile she took a bite out of a madeleine. She had known it would be great before even tasting it, and of course she had been proven correct.
"Soup would be nice, but I am guessing you don't have any here." What had even been on the menu... Rosalyn was having a hard time recalling, though lost in her thoughts she did notice him putting his jacket over her. "Thank you. That's much better." She had been a little cold. Hopefully the jacket wouldn't make her too warm but that didn't really matter because it was just nice to have him looking after her. The kissing her while she was sick thing though... she wasn't sure about that even if she really liked it. Of course she had known he didn't care about if she got him sick, but STILL. "Well, if you get sick I'm looking after you." Well, her and River because he was the Healer, but yeah. The point remained, right?? She wasn't so sure...
Now he was feeling her head and it was apparently hot. "Oh dear. That's not very good." Stating the obvious, but she was sure that she was going to be fine. "It wouldn't be very nice to disturb River while he's eating with Cami." Waves were sent towards them.

First year Transfiguration was a nightmare, did Cami know? River had no trouble recalling those memories, given that his older brother, Ryden, was of no help whatsoever when he sent out owls for him. He was a rubbish big brother but he improved so much over the years. He had to grow up and mature anyway. “The challenge of the subject was my drive to be better at it. It was a good thing that I got through it...given that my vocation is to heal people.” It would have been really disastrous if he wasn’t good at the subject. Transfiguration proved itself to be very handy in emergency situations.
River kept a smile and nodded at appropriate times while Cami talked to him. He busied himself petting Bonsai...realizing how relaxing it was to be with a well-behaved cat. “Yes. I spent my first five years here in Hogwarts. I transferred out to Castelobruxo after my OWLs to continue my study there.” He said grinning at the memory. “My parents didn’t like the idea of course, but I sort of argued that it would help me greatly in certain subjects. Subjects that would put me in an advantageous position when I do my Pre-Healer studies.” It was a clever move to be honest, and his parents had no choice but to crack Gringgott’s and send him to Brazil.
The Healer obviously would’ve loved to spend the rest of the morning with Camilla but the sneeze, and the restlessness of Gaston and Rosalyn caught his eyes. A very quick assessment of Rosalyn was done from where he sat, and he knew that he was needed. The look Gaston gave him didn’t go unnoticed as well, prompting him that he was welcome to intervene. “Camilla, you mentioned that you would like to meet Roscoe and Bumi, correct?” he asked as he placed Bonsai on the floor and procured his little squeeze bottle of disinfectant, “I think today is the perfect time to meet them.” He said gesturing his head towards his other colleagues across while he inconspicuously applied and rubbed his sanitizer in his hands. “I believe, duty calls. Rosalyn doesn’t look good.” He added smiling apologetically towards Camilla. “I had a lovely chat with you Camilla. I’ll see you around then,” he said rising from his seat, bowing down to look at Bonsai. “You too, Bonsai. It was nice to meet you.”
River took a few strides from their table to the other, and grinned at Gaston and Rosalyn. “A sneeze, a jacket over your shoulders...and perhaps loss of appetite?” he started as he tucked his hands in front of him looking down at Rosalyn, then to Gaston. “That could mean that your temperature is dropping from a suspected fever...and colds.” He said as he crouched and inspected Rosalyn’s eyes, “Your eyes probably feel heavy, soon it will be watery if we don’t treat it now.” He added as he straightened up and tucked his hands inside his trousers’ pockets. “No ifs or buts for you, Rosalyn. Gaston, if you could please escort her to the Hospital Wing’s Check In Area, yes?” River was sure that he didn’t need to tell Gaston things, so instead of waiting for his answer, the Healer excused himself as he went outside the door and made his way towards his wing to prep one of the beds for Rosalyn.

Leon wasn't going to let the lack of reaction from the boy deter his excitement about food! The 7th year had a one track mind when it came to the stuff.. eat it and be full and happy.
Obdurate in his mission to eat everything yummy in this Bistro the older boy nodded at the younger boys words. "Yeah I'd be up to going in to look, if it has to do with food.. it can't be bad. "
Words to live by, yeah?
"It does smell good. " Leon agreed as he moved into the Bistro and smiled a bit as he sat down at a table.. He wanted one of each.. Stat!
