| | |  Shrieking Shack
The Shrieking Shack is positioned up a slope from the Three Broomsticks and is accessible to all who take the muddy and puddled pathway up and down the hillside to get there. Though much of its history has been revealed to wizardkind, the place is still eerie as ever and continues to hold the reputation as the "most haunted house in Britain." If you listen or look carefully, maybe you will hear a noise sound or see a flicker of light come from inside.
Still the windows and doors of the house are boarded shut with wood. No one may enter or exit the premises through those openings without breaking and entering. It would be advised to simply stand on the other side of the fence that surrounds the property and enjoy the home and its dank overgrown garden from a safe distance. You never know what could be lurking about inside that dusty run-down place after all these years...

The Curly Top zoomed his way towards this side of Hogsmeade, wanting to eyeball this haunted house at this time of the day. Well haunted being a loose term for the lonely lodge. He's snuck into clandestine parties held in the Shack before, and it sure didnt look that much haunted at the time, what with all the pretty lights and music and PEOPLE. |

It was an hour and a bit before sunset so technically it was not curfew. Genny, packed with all the gear she needed i.e. her wand, meandered through Hogsmeade until she made it up to the shack. She heard some students discussing visiting it some time this afternoon but what fun was it if you came here when there was light, the purpose of visiting the shack was scaring your knickers off. Duh.
So it being winter, there was barely any sunlight already, and the Gryffindor had her scarf around her cold-kissed face and her wand in her hand in case anything unpleasant jumped up in her face. She was not here for sightseeing, she was here to go all the way and discover the secrets and near-death experiences other people found within the walls of this shack.

Okay...so the path under the Whomping Willow was out for now because...just no. He had seen what a Bloody Red Rose could do to a defenseless dog...and the Whomping Willow was MASSIVE and SCARY and he couldn't even perform a Levitation Charm properly let alone Protego soooooooooooooo....facing off against the tree was out.
But that was the nice thing about Hogsmeade weekends, besides restocking his supply of chocolate frogs, there was a much more direct path to the Shrieking Shack that did not put him at risk of being pummeled to death by a tree!
And it seemed as though he was not alone in the want to explore.
"HI FERE!" he greeted jovially as he approached the brunette from behind. "Full moon tonight I fink."
WAS SHE A WEREWOLF? TWO FWOOPERS WITH ONE STONE?!

She looked back at the Shrieking Shack in surprise when he said he had been in there. "You've been there before? Was that one of those secret parties that I wasn't invited to?" If that was true then her feelings were hurt, and it might have shown just a little bit in her voice and expression.
"Well I'd love to see it with you," she said in what she hoped was a normal tone. | |

Hogsmeade weekend. That's all Rian-Kate had cared about as the days went by. Sweet relief from not only lessons and homework but from the entire castle. Being able to get away for a few days and completely forget about studying for her OWLs was a happy welcomed blessing.
So when the weekend finally arrived Ri was set and ready to go. The red head had been one of the first ones awake, showered, dressed and down to breakfast. When it was time to go she had grabbed the boyfriend's hand and practically dragged him along in her haste to get the day started. Where exactly she was headed when they reached Hogsmeade the teen had no clue but honestly she didn't even care right now. Nothing was getting in her way of having a good time today...not even the still very chilly weather.
It wasn't until they had made it half-way there and were walking through the mud did she even realize where they were headed. Ri gave the hand she was grasping a light squeeze and glanced over at the taller boy beside her a small instantly pulling at her lips. "Maybe letting me lead the way wasn't the best of ideas," she teased softly grinning at Anthony as she continued forward through the mud and snow.

Anthony knew she had no plan. They probably overshot their destination and she was just being cheeky. 'I've been here once. With Grace. She said a werewolf comes here. You better be careful." He gave her a look. His warning look. But ... it was more like his cautious look.

"Was she alright though?"
"Seriously? If anyone was to buy it their best bet would be to knock it down completely and start from the bottom up." At least that was her opinion on the idea.

"Seriously? If anyone was to buy it their best bet would be to knock it down completely and start from the bottom up." At least that was her opinion on the idea. Cheek kisses were okay, but Anthony enjoyed Ri's kisses more. Mm, I know but you love me for it. He gave her one of his favorite crooked grins. One reserved for her. There were a lot of people in the world, but only a handful that Anthony loved. Ri being one of them. He'd told her once that he loved her. But he hadn't said it again. She knew he did though. This proving it. "Grace was fine. I cleaned the wound and then put a little numbing potion on it" Easy stuff. Nothing big. "She'd been a big baby about it though." Anthony added, only teasing of course.
"By the way, she wants to get to know you." Another add-on. Grace and Anthony were tight. Best friends, basically. If that's what you wanted to call it. "She's important to me too. It would be nice if we all could hang out sometimes." It was a wonder why they didn't already. "Her and Nuri are getting kinda serious. Maybe we could do a .... " Pause. Because he was ONLY doing this for Grace and Ri. He would NEVER do this usually. "... a double date sometime." Oh Merlin. Even saying the words...
Now Ri was crushing his dreams. "Babe. Magic. Babe. Have some faith. This house has had a tough life. He shouldn't be punished for it."

She didn't need to be told anything, his small actions proving that he was trying just as much as she was to make things work between them. "That's good. At least things weren't any worse and you were able to fix her up." Ri never liked hearing about anyone getting themselves hurt, accident or not.
Rian paused stopping to turn and look at him. Grace? She had already met the girl and she knew how important the girl was to Anthony as well. "I know she is Ant, I've met her before." The two had spoken a bit and she didn't have any trouble with her. If the other girl wanted to hangout with them or whatever this was about Ri would make not attempts at keeping it from happening. Huh? What was he going on about now? The red head blinked at her boyfriend in confusion the look changing to one of laughter right away before she grinned at him. "A double date, hmm? Well I suppose we can if you think you can handle going a proper date." Cue a seriously cheeky grin.
The look on the boyfriends face was adorbs. And had he really just referred to the house as a 'he'? Shifting from foot to foot she raised a hand cupping one of his cheeks so his attention was fully on her. "Shhh, I wasn't saying it couldn't be done babe. I was giving my opinion on the matter. I'm sure it could be restored magically with some time, patience and a lot of caring. Only....who says it's a he? Maybe it's a she." Rian-Kate grinned at him sweetly.

A scrap on the leg that had her limping, she never even said too words about it. She may have grunted and acted like it didn't hurt, but Anthony knew better. "Yeah, she's good to go now." Grace and Anthony had a thing about pretty much healing each other. They were both good with potions. Now spell wise... Ri was Anthony's go to girl.
"[b]Yeah.... that" Anthony said at the word double date. Merlin. He cracked a grin though at Ri's cheekiness. He poked her side for that. Which she would probably be getting him back for. "Yeah... but... yeah. one of those. We should plan one." Anthony stated with a crooked grin. He didn't know Nuri but he figured that he would play nice.
"Yes! I can picture it! Redone. Maybe a ... grayish paint color on the outside of the house, the shutters redone with maybe a.... light blue trim. flowers on the window sills. Maybe a dragon gnome in the front garden." He said looking at the house. How fun would that be to flip the house?
