| | |  Seating Area for the Office of Rosalyn Newton
Banner made by MuggleDinosaur Upon reaching the waiting area for Professor Newton's office, it is obvious to see that some changes have been made since last term. Everything looks more homey now, charmed to resemble a muggle living area. A white carpet has been laid out, and there are white chairs and a sofa. She chose green as the accent colour.
Wizarding magazines are still kept to the side, on one of the small tables and there is also a mini drink fridge for in case students get thirsty while they wait. A bowl of candy lies nearby, automatically filling itself when it begins to run low.
Just knock on the door a few times and Professor Newton will come and see you as soon as possible. | |

Oliver had finally decided to take the time out of his busy schedule he was literally doing nothing to visit the professors he needed to talk to. First on his list was his favorite so far, because she was pretty and nice and gave the class treats and what more could a student ask for?
He knocked on the door to Professor Newton's office and then took a seat on the couch facing the door. He had no idea if anyone else was in there with her, but he was hoping it wouldn't take long. He had a lot to do today!

There wasn't TOO much that needed doing at the moment, so Rosalyn had decided to enjoy a good book in her office while drinking tea. This was a good way for her to spend time before getting back to work, and she was feeling too lazy to walk about the castle.
As she flipped the pace in her book, there was a knock on the door. Ooh! The first visitor of term.
Placing the book down on her desk, Rosalyn got up and opened the door. "Hello, Mr Finch. You can come in." Was this a social visit? Or did he have more questions? OOC: You may post in her office now.  | |

Rooney had intended to drop by Professor Newton's office to discuss any career options he had, and to get her opinion on everything. He didn't particularly have a connection with her, but she taught one of his favourite subjects -- if not the favourite -- and so she was probably the best port of call when it came to career advice. He had brought two baskets of flowers with him, leftover from a delivery yesterday that he had ordered for Miss Olivia. Apparently her dorm was full and so he needed to find somewhere else to house them before they died. So Professor Newton it was.
The flowers were a mixture of colours, he'd chosen anything that might brighten up the dark days that his Gryffindor was going through. Instead of sitting down in the waiting area, Rooney paced around it, giving the flower baskets a swing in every which way.

It was time for Rosalyn to get some marking done though she wasn't in the mood to do it at the moment; somehow she had come down with a bit of a headache. If it didn't go away on its own she would have to take some potion. Oh well. At least it wasn't a migraine... Now those were the worst and had her in bed all day.
Sighing, she grabbed the first assignment so that she could look it over. Before she got a proper chance to, there was a knock on the door. Looked like marking would have to wait. With a shrug she got up and headed to the door. "Hello, Mr Bronwyn," she said as soon as she saw who it was. "Would you like to come in?" Rosalyn's attention turned to the flowers. "Those are beautiful." Were they for her? OOC: You may post in her office now. | |

Simon was bored... he was very bored... seriously you have no idea how bored he was. He knew he probably shouldn't do this but well, what was the worse that could happen right?
Simon put the drawing of the face that he had done earlier on the floor and then.
*Knock* *Knock*
He legged it around a corner, and hide peeking out every now and then, He just hoped that the Professor had a sense of humour, serious now he just had to see if the Professor spotted the paper.

Rosalyn was in the middle of marking some student work - like always - when she heard a knock on her office door. That wasn't in the least bit strange since she did get quite a few guests. Both of the student AND professor variety. What WAS weird, however, was the fact that there was no one outside when she opened the door.
Confused, she glanced around. Maybe this was some kind of prank... With a shrug, she started heading back inside. That was when she noticed the piece of paper with a smiley face on it. Definitely a prank then.
With a shake of her head, she picked up the piece of paper. Really it DID make her smile, especially with how tense things were lately. On a whim, she attached the paper to the outside of her door. | |

It was only courtesy for Rooney to call in with the other offices on the first floor, right? It would only hold him up a minute of so before he got to Professor Hirsch's office. Immediately, Roo stuck a note up on Professor Newton's door and used the time he took knocking to resume some sort of normal breathing pattern.

It was a good thing that Rosalyn was in her office at the time that Rooney stopped over. Otherwise who knows when she would have seen the note. As it was, she had been in the middle of marking when there was a knock on the door. Before she could tell whoever it was to come in, she heard Rooney shouting something about the portal.
Confused, she opened the door. That was when she saw the message. Immediately she paled. Whatever had happened was BAD. Very very bad. | |
