The prefects have their own compartment at the front of the train. Even if you don't want to sit here the whole time, it's a good idea to check in for a few minutes. Sometimes the Head Boy and Head Girl like to hold a meeting... or there might even be a special guest on the train that needs escorting.

Prefects only, please, unless you have been invited in or need assistance!

Finally it was time to go home for the summer and Rooney was ecstatic to be boarding the train and getting out of the castle that plagued his nightmares still. He was sure that he would be okay come September as his mother had insisted that he finish out his education at Hogwarts and turn down another role. She had his best interests at heart, he knew that. It was just sad to have turned down two big serious touring roles so that he could go to school when it was life on the stage that he really wanted.

ANYHOOOOOOOOO.. He sank into a seat in the prefect compartment with a relieved sigh. Time to goooo.

He'd probably get up and leave in a bit anyway. Spend some time with his sister.

Kitty carried her large worm container and backpack of books and quills towards the prefect compartment, where with much effort she managed to slide the doors open and enter.

"Hey Rooney," she said as she slid into one of the chairs, greeting the only prefect in the compartment. So far it was just the Ravenclaws, it looked like.

She placed the worm container under her seat. "I lost four of them this term," she explained randomly in a matter of fact voice. "But I think one of them is expecting babies. Next term I think I'm getting an owl."

Then she took out her small hand mirror and started examining herself.

Juno hated today. But she didn't want her sadness to disturb the others. No one else deserved that. So she put on a smile and opened the door to the Prefects compartment. She relaxed a little more seeing Kitty and Rooney. The two of them had been through too much this term, and she really hoped they had a relaxing summer. "Hey Rooney! Hey Kitty! Excited to get home for summer?" She said with a smile, before plopping down next to Rooney, resting her foot on the seat opposite her.

She was happy to be going home, but it also meant there would be a lot of heartache to deal with. She wasn't ready for it. The brightness faded from her eyes just a little as her thoughts slid to Leon. She was definitely going to go on rounds soon and go find him.

Natalia didn't rush to this compartment. Not that she didn't want to sit there, but because it meant it was finally time to go home. She couldn't wait for summer, she wished to just leave school so many times and now that it was time, she didn't want to leave at all. Some of the professors' words still in her head she opened the compartment and looked around. "Hello everyone."

She took a seat that was empty and set her purse down. Turning to look out the window she stayed pretty quiet. She wanted to memorize everything she saw. Set each scene in her head so she wouldn't forget. Her brown eyes scanned the compartment and everyone that was in there. "It's been nice working with all of you."

Well most at least.

Prefect place over HERE not over THERE. Over there is the grumpy train engineer....

After belongings and beloved pets have been entrusted with besties, the Gryffindor Ace made his way up the train corridor. He pulled open the compartment door and nudged his head at those already inside "Ey guys wzup!-- hey Nat! Gonna miss you." he smiled a warm but pensive smile at the brunette graduate.

He plunked himself on a vacant spot and breathed a sigh of relief. No words there from the normally chatty Gryffindor, but that sigh says it all for having made it out alive and in one piece after such a term.

Being on his own lasted mere moments before he was joined by Kitty. Rooney greeted her with a smile and looked at her worm container. "I think maybe an owl would be a less dirty option. And they're harder to lose, or so I've heard." He used the school owls, honestly. Both he and Brinlee had cats with them at school and neither needed an owl when the school had a selection for them to use. He had intended to pass her a note to read later that just let her know when she could visit over the holidays given that he would be away for half of it. Instead, he would just write to her that evening so she had something to receive in the first few days of the holiday. He always looked forward to getting letters.

Roo gave Juno a smile as she sat beside him, reaching to give her shoulder a squeeze. "Few minutes and you can get out of here to find him, Miss Juno." He understood her want to find Leon given that this was his final train ride and he assumed that they would be going to their separate homes come the end of the journey. Rooney didn't doubt that the lovebirds would see each other for the majority of the summer. That was what people did in relationships. Or so..that was what he and Liv had done most of last year. When they were in a relationship. They weren't now... ANYWAY...

Both Tenacius and Natalia received a smile, the first being genuine and the second being more so something of being professional. At least this was the last train ride to suffer through with her. "Good luck in your future, Natalia." Who said he couldn't say something nice?

"Everyone's been telling me that," she replied to Rooney's sensible suggestion that owls were less dirty. "And I wouldn't have to worry about someone accidentally hurting a screech like I of with people bumping into a worm container. Screeches are my favs," she explained.

More prefects started coming in then. "Hey Juno and Tenacius," she greeted them both with a sincere smile, her gaze lingering on Tenacius's hair a few seconds longer than usual. Seriously, that hair was awesome. Answering Juno, she said, "Yeah I'm looking forward to just not doing anything for awhile. I mean, aside from reading, of course. What are your plans?"

Then Natalia came in and told them it was a pleasure working with them. Kitty was more than a little torn emotionally when it came to the head girl. Earlier this term, she DID threaten to hex her so badly that no one recognized her, while at the same time insulting her hair and saying she didn't deserve to be a prefect. But maybe, Kitty told herself, maybe she hadn't meant all of that and she was just angry. Besides, both Natalia and Kitty had fought side by side against the monster, and Natalia had been the first one to order her back to safety after the monster tore her face open. So maybe she had been forgiven.

"I wish you luck wherever you are going and I hope you're happy where it is," she said at last, deciding to see if they could part in good terms. "You're one of the most formidable people I've ever met, so I know you'll be successful."

Water under the bridge, right?

Ace coming in behind her made her smile. He as one of the prefects she had gotten pretty close to. Their corridor duties and just hanging out were pretty fun. "I'll miss you too, but you'll write and tell me everything that's going on with you, right?" She expected letters from him and updates. "I won't be far, so if you ever need anything." He was always welcome to owl her about anything, any of them could, though she knew some of them were going to throw a party the minute she wasn't around anymore and she was fine with that too.

Her eyes moved to the door for a moment. Had she been in here long enough? Could she go find Lily or even see if Chris was around, though he was probably with Hunter so she shouldn't be going to find him. She'd stay here for now. Hearing Rooney she looked up surprised he even spoke to her. "Thank you Rooney, good luck in your final year." He was the top dog now, Merlin help them, but she did wish them the best.

The next to speak to her was Kitty, she looked at the girl with admiration. "I don't think I ever got to tell you, you did great in the portal. I'm glad to see the injuries have healed." Even with magic they truly didn't know what that monster was so the marks shown or not were still etched around all of them. Her words brought on a wibbly lip of emotions she had been holding in, which she was still determined to hold in. Her future was set at the moment, but it might changed all based on one bit of information that Professor Marchand had given her. She hoped to hear from him soon. "Thanks Kitty, the band is my focus now that school is over. We might get to be a opening act to the opening act sort of thing at a concert this year. Which is totally cool since the main group is awesome and Professor Marchand is in it." She couldn't help but feel the excitement all over again. "We might be playing in a few little places, like open mic nights and stuff. You should come." She looked around to all of them, "All you should come. We could celebrate this crazy term being over and summer being here."

Last time this Winchester will be in the prefects compartment. He was excited to go home for the summer and start his career. He either wanted to apply for the ministry or maybe take a muggle job? Nahh he would follow in his mother's footsteps and take in the magical blood. As he got his trunk taken care of and his owl, he breathed in and stepped into the compartment. It seemed like he wasn't alone. He saw the Ravenclaw prefects and he nodded politely to them. He saw his fellow head girl and he gave her a playful eyeroll. He saw the Gryffindor and Hufflepuff prefect and he nodded towards them. He gave Juno and polite wave.

He sunk into the seat in the far corner and he looked out at the passing students with all their trunks. Man this was his official time leaving Hogwarts. Where did the time go? He was gonna miss this badge too. He began to look down at it and just kept silent. He wasn't in much of a talking mood.

Nat and Ace soon came in after Juno. She smiled up at the pair, it didn't quite reach her eyes, "Hey Nat and Ace!" She smiled at Ace and continued, "I"ll miss you too, Tenacious! I hope you have a great summer!" She noticed that Nat was closely watching the landscape out side of the window. It had to be hard to be a seventh year on your last day as a Hogwarts student. She knew it would be hard for her. When Nat spoke, a gentle smile crossed her face, "Natalia, it's been wonderful working with you as well. I wish you all the best in your future." Though she didn't know the older girl well, she really hoped she had a great life after Hogwarts.

Oh, Rooney! He was the sweetest. She smiled up at him as he gave her shoulder a good squeeze. She chuckled at his comment, "Thanks Rooney. It's going to be a hard day." She said with a smile though the words came out a little choked. She was not going to cry in front of her fellow prefects. SHE DOES NOT CRY!

Juno smiled at Kitty, who she really enjoyed talking to. Kitty was such an interesting and complex person who had been through so much this term. "I can't say I blame you there!" She looked over the younger girls face, noting there were no visible scars. That was great! "Well, going to France for a few weeks. Leon will be joining myself and my family. That should be interesting," she said with a chuckle, "and then hopefully just hanging out with Leon and enjoying our time together before he goes of to the YATI program and I come back to Hogwarts." NOPE. NO TEARS. NONE. She was not going to let this defeat her.

When Colt came in, it seemed like it had been forever since she had seen him last. Though she had seen him at school...but it had been awhile since they had really talked. She smiled and waved as he came in and sat down quietly. It really had to be hard to be a seventh year. She tapped Colt on the knee, "I wish you all the best in life and I hope you have a great summer." She assumed he wasn't really wanting to talk, so she turned back to the conversations being had around her, hoping she could leave the compartment soon and find Leon.

When Nat invited them all to see her band over the summer, Juno smiled. That would be a great date for her and Leon to go on. "Thanks for the invite Nat! That would be awesome! I would love to see you perform!" She smiled and thought about how much she couldn't wait to get her hands on her own instruments when she got home.

The last to enter their compartment was Colt, the Slytherin prefect and head boy. He didn't seem to be in a very talkative mood, but Kitty felt she should say something. "We'll miss you, Colt," she said with a gentle smile towards the Slytherin prefect. Even though she didn't know him very well, all the prefects spent lots of time together this term more than other terms (due to having to escort students everywhere because of the monster) and she would be sad to not see him anymore. "It's been great getting to know you and work with you this term."

She smiled as she listened to Juno discuss her summer plans with Leon. It was great knowing that two of her friends were together forever (hopefully!) even after one had graduated from Hogwarts. "That's really nice," she told her. "You and Leon are great together." And if they married she hoped they would all be invited to the wedding.

Kitty began to feel emotional (in a good way) as Natalia praised her performance in the portal. Surely this meant that she'd been completely forgiven,a dn they were now friends, right? "Thank you Nat, you were great too. Thanks to our professors my wounds are healed, but sadly I get nightmares. At least that thing is gone for good, right?" Which she hoped it really was. And she became even more emotional when she invited them to her concerts. "We'd love to come!" she said, sitting up straight in her chair. "A reunion would be perfect."
