Located on the far wall of the common room, one will find the indoor garden. A variety of beautiful flowers and plants sit in glass containers of all shapes and sizes, some seemingly growing right from the wall itself. If you've got a green thumb, the small work bench will give you the opportunity to do some planting on your own. The charms on the space ensure the temperature and lighting are perfect for the plant life. Not into Herbology? (HMMPH!) On the floor, an array of tree stumps are arranged in a semi circle so why not come sit and enjoy the serene space, instead? Either way, this new addition to the room is one you're sure to enjoy. |

She just wanted to be able to run around out in the fresh air alone for a while to try to get rid of the nervous feeling in her stomach. Isa was going crazy cooped up inside after the early curfew. With all the things that were happening not only with Hogwarts, but also with her as she was growing up, Isa was feeling things that she had never felt before. She missed mum and Penny. She just wanted to talk to someone and be hugged and feel better.
Working with her plants or seeing her friends usually lifted Isa's spirits, so she headed over to the indoor garden in the common room. This was her favorite spot inside the castle. She still preferred outdoor gardening, but with the curfew and other rules, she was spending even more time in the indoor garden than usual. Here she was, watering and caring for her Spathiphyllum wallisii, flitterbloom, dwarf sunflowers, chamomile, completely-mundane-and-definitely-not-spitting-fire snapdragons, and crying daisies. The daisies cried out to Isa when they saw Isa with the watering can, and shut up for a while once they had been watered. Isa smiled at her flowers. Softly, she sang a melody from a Bach concerto to her plants. The plants enjoyed music, or so she believed.

Paul did not often trek into the castle; he actually disliked being cooped up in here too much. But with the portal stuff, and having to do ROUNDS near the portal and whatnot, he had been in the castle more often than usual -_- And so, he came to check on the indoor garden as he did sometimes...after coming off duty from patrolling.
Merlin.
At least the common room WAS DOWNSTAIRS and not upstairs...like the Gryffindor one. Or the Ravenclaw one. Ugh. That would be...awful. "Everything looks good---oh helllllo, Isa!" he smiled and waved at her. "Are you what's keeping my plants beautiful and healthy?" he asked warmly, his irritation from patrol evaporating on the spot.

"Everything looks good---oh helllllo, Isa!" he smiled and waved at her. "Are you what's keeping my plants beautiful and healthy?" he asked warmly, his irritation from patrol evaporating on the spot. Isa stopped singing when she heard Professor Myers speaking to her. ”Hello Professor Myers!” She beamed at the professor. It was always good to see him. ”I’m pruning, watering, and singing to the plants. They like music.” Isa was actually a very musical person. Sometimes she played cello for the plants.
Keeping the plants beautiful and healthy? Isa loved gardening work. These plants weren’t caring for themselves. "Yes, that would be me! I love caring for plants. It calms me and makes me happy. I’ve always grown up surrounded by plants.” Isa grinned at Professor Myers. ”I’ve added quite a few plants of my own.” More than just a few. Isa had been cultivating her own garden alongside Professor Myers’ plants. She just had to have all of her plants here with her. Well, the ones that were okay with being repotted and the ones that didn’t need to be in the greenhouse. She had more plants at home and in the greenhouses.
Some of her daisies had started crying again after she stopped singing. Those guys loved attention. Isa reached over and gently stroked the leaves of her daisies. She spoke to them in a gentle voice as if she were speaking to a baby. ”What’s wrong?” The daisies would always let her know when they wanted something. Isa continued her work, deadheading the withering daisy blooms with a trimming spell. She looked up at Professor Myers. ”Crying daisies. They’re sensitive little things. Not all that sensitive in terms of needs and care requirements, but, well, you can hear them. They like attention.” Isa loved her little daisies. ”I’ve been going crazy cooped up inside, and having a garden in here has really helped me.” She couldn’t imagine being without her plants. It was hard enough not being able to go down to the greenhouses or take a walk around the lake whenever she wanted to. Isa lived for everything living, and it was hard for her to be inside so much of the time. She longed to be outside in the fresh air surrounded by the flowers peeking their heads above the ground, the smell of the earth, the butterflies flittering about in the garden, the vines creeping around whatever they could grab hold of, the smell of fresh air after rain. For now she could only focus on her indoor garden sanctuary. Isa could be content with that. She looked up at Prefessor Myers and smiled. ”Want to help me with these plants?” The herbology professor and Hufflepuff head of house would be a wonderful gardening companion.
