banner by Schuyler Emmons (Cedric)The Lions sit under a brand new scarlet and gold banner representing their house. Their solid, shiny wooden table is nicely polished with all the place settings perfectly set. It was once said that the Hogwarts House Elves are the best in the world. It is up to your stomach to agree... but surely it will! Why wouldn't it like elf cooking?
If you're thirsty, there is also fresh pumpkin juice and water on the table, regardless of whether or not it is actually mealtime. | |

Kitty was starting to wish she'd just jinxed him earlier, but she'd already pocketed her wand - and before she knew it he was throwing an empty boll at her. She ducked out of the way, causing it clatter noisily to the floor. Then before she could react, he'd flown away, and Blaise was asking if they should give.
"No, it's okay, I don't feel like running," she said, quite truthfully. Her legs ached enough from all the walking she had to do escorting her classmates everywhere. "Later I shall tell the Bloody Baron that he's misbehaving. If Storm is going to follow his father's example, then he should also be just as scared of the Baron as his father is." Yep, and she was going to make sure that happened.
They could return to their pleasant conversation now that the brat was gone. "What were we talking about?" she asked, trying to remember. Funny how a flying brat throwing things at you could be so distracting. "Oh, the Statute, right. It just seems to me terribly unfair to have to hide who we are, and to lie to our Muggle friends. I am 100 percent certain that MY friends at Yoga would never persecute me. I just think the Statute was for a different era, and that it shouldn't apply anymore. But unfortunately no one even seems to consider it anymore."
That was how she felt, but she knew very few people would agree with her even in the slightest. |

P R E P A R E D. It seemed she had good timing, because Rula had only been waiting a few minutes when Dora appeared. Yay!
"Just try really, really hard to?" She said with a grin, mostly joking. It took more than that to really focus sometimes, she knew, especially when you were stressed out. "Or there's also potions to help you focus. Like the Wit-Sharpening Potion or Concentration Concoction. I tried those a few times when I was studying, especially towards the end of term." 'Cause that was when the stress over the upcoming exams really went into overdrive.
"I also have something I want to tell you about. Buuuut maybe I shouldn't share, I don't want to make it harder for you to focus," she continued, a teasing grin on her face.

Dora pulled a face as she moved to prop her elbow on the elbow and place her cheek in her hand. Eyes on Rula as she spoke. Mhm. "I'm not a fan of taking potions for anything other than anxiety. Feels like cheating. " And she didn't like the way some potions made her feel. She enjoyed brewing them very much, but taking then was just a no.
Oh. Rula had news?! How exciting! "Oh pffft! Why don't you go first? " Because Dora was stalling , that's why. She didn't want to necessarily drop her news... because some people could be judgy. But not Rula. So yeah. All ears!

She, personally, didn't see it as cheating - at least, so long as it was just to focus on studying and not taken before the actual exam. But it wouldn't help to force anyone to take it either, so she didn't feel the need to argue about it or anything. To each their own!
And when Dora encouraged her to share first, she wasted no time in finally holding up her left hand, revealing the ring there on her ring finger. "Max and I are engaged!" she said, beaming.
