 You arrive in the dungeons, ready to serve your detention. You approach a desk situated in front of several doors and can hear strange noises coming from behind each of them. Suddenly, there is an ear-piercing scream and the staff member behind the desk smiles with pleasure. Time for you to sign your soul over in!

Welcome to Detention!
Here is where students come to be punished. Please RP your arrival and signing in in this thread. From here, the staff member administering your detention will assign you a detention room. Once you have been assigned a detention room, post your arrival in that detention room thread and a staff member will be there to instruct you momentarily.
Please keep in mind the following special rules for detention:
Quote: Rule number one: Do NOT complain about being in detention. You are here for good reason and if you don't know why you are here, you obviously need to learn the rules and the proper way to behave at school (RP school or REAL school). This is the perfect place to do that.
Rule number two: Please refrain from making OOC comments if at all possible.
Rule number three: Do not pester us to take you out of detention or complain when your detention is up and we haven't had a chance to take you out. Maybe you'll think twice next time. It is not our fault if you miss classes or Quidditch or can't post in the rest of the school!!
Rule number four: You must post in your assigned detention room a couple times a day throughout the course of your detention to prove to us that you have actually shown up. (We understand there are circumstance where you may not be able to get online, but sometimes, the length of your detention is dependant on how many days you have actually posted. For example, if you are given two days of detention and you only post once a week, your detention will actually be for the two weeks it took you to post.) A professor will give you instructions as to what you will be doing while here.
Rule number five: You must ONLY post in the detention rooms assigned to you in this thread. If you are caught posting in detention rooms you were not assigned to, your detention length will be increased.
Failure to abide by any of these rules may result in the professor extending your detention period. | |

For her detention, she simply wore standard school robes and boots and a black ribbon on her loose hair. The ribbon was the only non-standard item she wore that day. It didn't make sense to put on lipstick and nylon for detention.
She approached the entrance desk in resignation, determined not to look too anxious. "Hello," she greeted the person behind thr desk (who she couldn't quite make out) before taking a paper to sign in.
Then the scream went off. "Wh-who was that?" she asked in alarm. Wait, were they trying to scare her?

This was the first time Rosalyn had given detention in her entire teaching career. Then again, this was her second year of proper teaching, since before then she had been an assistant. In any case she was not exactly looking forward to this. Well, hopefully it wouldn't be TOO painful.
Ugh, this place made her want to shudder though she would keep her composure.

Kitty finished signing in just as Professor Newton approached and asked if she was all signed in. "I am, Professor," she said seriously, crossing her hands in front of her. "I heard someone screaming when I was signing in."

... That Kitty had signed in. Not that there had been someone screaming. Rosalyn suppressed a shudder. This place unsettled her even if she wasn't SCARED. Nope. It took more than that to cause her to panic. "I am sure that nothing is wrong. As far as I know there aren't any other people serving detention." Anyway, it was time to get this over with!

She got the owl and made her way down to the dungeons on the time that it had said. Since her common room was right there she didn't have to go far, which mean she stayed in her room until she couldn't wait any longer. She wiped her eyes before leaving her room and rechecked her makeup to make sure she wasn't looking to ridiculous. Even with makeup though she felt the bags that had started to form weren't being hidden. She really needed to stop studying so late and actually go to bed.
Walking up to the desk she heard the noises, but it was Hogwarts there were plenty of noises so she just gave the staff member at the desk a small smile and signed her name in. She just wanted to get this over with so she could start on a few essays that she had to get done, plus if she was lucky she could maybe mirror Hady and work out a few band things that still needed done.
Did the to do list ever go away?

Were there horned serpents in the boots of the student leaders? The headmistress was, to be totally honest, quite frustrated with a number of those that were sporting badges this term. It first began with those that had foolishly galloped through the portal with students to and fro, followed by the perhaps too opinionated Kitty Valentine and the brash disobedience of Noelle Summers, and now she had to deal with the one and the only Natalia Franks-Mundie.
Her heels echoing throughout the entire dungeon, Regina took her time getting to the meeting point where the Head Girl was waiting. Internally, she was thinking of what exact this detention would entail. Externally, the woman, quite tired these days considering everything that was going on, didn't look happy to be there. Her being there to run one's detention was not a good sign.
"You will be serving your detention in the Criminal Cell," she said coolly, now standing beside the desk and hovering over it to make sure that the girl had in fact signed in. Then, without another word, the woman moved to open one of the doors and waved a finger, beckoning the girl to step inside the room.

She heard the tapping of her shoes echo as she walked down the corridor. The closer she got the deeper breaths Nat took. For now, her badge was pinned to her robes, but she assumed it wouldn't be there when she came out of this detention. She would accept that because she didn't feel she did anything wrong. Maybe she could have worded things differently, but she was done trying her best for people to still give her grief. The Slytherin was tired of worry and working to help other's for everything to always go bad. It was the time she listened to Healer Reed and think about herself.
Her brown eyes caught a glimpse of the headmistresses face and for a second missed the headmaster from the last two terms. She had nothing against the woman, but she just enjoyed his accent and felt he wouldn't look so... she wasn't even sure of the word she was looking for.
Hearing the headmistress speak Nat nodded, "Yes ma'am" with that she ended into the room.
