Noelle glanced at Levi as he seemed to relax against the fence. She grinned at the crups as they barked and played. It wasn't until Levi reached for her that she realized that Charlotte was trying to climb up her arm. She didn't mean to but she wasn't that comfortable letting a spider climb up to her neck or anything. Not yet. So when she felt Charlotte, she gave a little 'Eep!" But Levi saved the day by bringing her back down. "Char, you cant be crawling up my arm. Not yet anyways." Noelle grinned at the spider before rubbing her back.


Now she was imagining a leash on this spider. "Okay... so I have to see this leash. Is it super tiny and long?" Like a dog's leash but way smaller with a longer leash? And she wanted to try walking Charlotte on her shoulders just... not yet. "We might have to have a Charlotte training class." Because that would be fun.

"Yeah...." Noelle nodded at Levi as he mentioned the portals. She walked to the fence and leaned on it beside him. "Have you seen it yet? The portal?" It was scary. Uneasy. Weird.

As Noelle spoke, Levi swung over the fence and straddled it easily. The advantage of this past summer’s growth spurt, really, although he couldn’t say he’d fully grown used to the new length of his limbs yet. The bruises on his knees and arms obtained from crashing and bumping into things spoke volumes. Thankfully, the school uniform did a pretty good job at covering them.

The crups approached his leg at first warily and then with gusto as they took note of his shoelaces. Levi raised their eyebrows at them, then turned to look at Noelle. “Well, it wasn’t always a leash.” He grinned. “We did try to find a harness but they weren’t small enough for her and then we tried making one, but it didn't work out." Fat Charlotte was being remarkably good, and Levi wondered if she was just anxious at being touched by a stranger. The crups on the other hand, were now nibbling on his shoelaces, and he began to swing to his foot back and forth, forcing them to chase it. “I’ll pencil you in for the lessons.” The crups seemed adamant on capturing his foot, so one of them jumped on it. Levi laughed, momentarily stilling his foot and conceding defeat. “I’m not a very patient teacher, though.” But he was still grinning so he was probably joking. Maybe. “I will try to make an exception.”

Levi did try to keep the interest out of his face and later voice. The idea of being sucked in by one of those portals scared him, sure, but also, well--there was something horribly appealing about it. He had his theories, mostly what he’d discussed with his siblings, and there was a reason why the sorting hat had been torn between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw, back on his first year. “Nope, but my siblings saw when it took Henry. You know him, right?” He couldn’t imagine anyone not knowing who Henry was, now. “It was this big light, they said. Have you seen it?”

Char was being a good little spider. Noelle didn't mind her really. And now that she had gotten used to the spider, she didn't think she'd mind if the spider started crawling up her arm. She idly petted Char while listening to Levi.

"Okay deal. But you have to come find me for these lessons. We'll have to think of a quick way. ..... Do you know how to do a patronus?" Noelle hadn't gotten the hang of doing one but the idea came in her mind after watching the headmistress cast one to get the professors together. And now, she was just curious if Levi could do one. She wasn't 100% sure if Levi was even serious about including her in the lessons, but she was going to scoot her way into one. One way or another.

The crups were cute as they tried grabbing Levi's shoe lace. Noelle leaned the other way on the fence and casually put Char on her shoulder. She leaned her finger down and wiggled it so the crups could grab her finger if they wanted. She often wondered if crups only half liked her because she was half-muggle. Noelle did catch a glimpse of Levi's face when she mentioned the portal. She saw his interest.

By now, the crups were trying to climb up Levi's swinging head and the fifth year laughed out loud at their attempts. He couldn't say he'd ever spent this much time with crups or even regular dogs, but he was beginning to regret that his parents had never bothered to get a four legged pet for him or his siblings. "Hmm." Levi scratched his chin, thoughtfully. "I mean, no." The Patronus was a very, very complex spell. Most wizards could get a wisp of silver smoke, at most. "I know how to cast it technically, as I presume everyone does, but I've never tried it."

As Noelle leaned down to play with the crups, Levi smiled feeling quite content. Fat Charlotte was behaving herself to, sitting quite pretty on Noelle's shoulder. "We should do it the traditional way, maybe. Just set a time and date for the lessons." Not that he'd been serious, but he was willing, anyway. Noelle was nice and Fat Charlotte seemed to like her well enough. He would also not mind if there was another person in the castle who was willing to take care of her if she found it somewhere, without supervision. That was good, too. "For what's worth, you are a natural with her." Levi grinned. "So it shouldn't be that hard."

One of the crups had half way succeeded to climbing up and Levi, after chortling, reached down to pet its head. As an apparent reward, the crup enthusiastically licked his palm. "So, you weren't able to see anything on the other side of the portal when it showed up? Just the light?"

The patronus was a very, very complex spell... but Noelle was a believer that you could do anything you put your mind to. Like her and animagi training. If she wanted it badly enough, she would get it. Plus all the time and effort one puts into something definitely helps. "I've tried it. I haven't been able to produce one... yet" Noelle stated. Yet, being the big part. She hoped to.

Noelle looked at Char as she sat on her shoulder. The spider being so close to her face didn't seem to phase her. "Okay. Time and place it is. Though, if something were to happen and I got caught up in prefect duties or... other things." Because there were a few things that Noelle was working on at the moment. "I can send you a birdie." In the end, Levi ended up picking up the most stubborn of the crups and holding it against his chest like it was the most normal thing. He did try to lean away every time the creature went for his ear to either lick or nibble on but, well, eventually, Levi gave up. "I'll probably give it a try, at some point." The crup's whiskers brushed his neck and Levi giggled, involuntarily. He tried to cover it up, unsuccessfully, with a cough. "But I should probably focus first on at least getting an E on the Defense Against the Dark Arts OWL."

Levi quite shamelessly nuzzled the crup. "What do you mean with a birdie?" Did she mean an actual bird or was she using first years as messengers? His face had been all but buried in the crup, but at this thought the boy shot Noelle a speculative look. "If you can't make it, that's fine." He didn't think she needed them anyway. Charlotte was contently going up and down Noelle's forearm. "If you don't show up, I'll just assume you got caught up prefecting."

He did not take his eyes off Noelle, ESPECIALLY when she brought up the restricted section. Levi's smile became crooked, and he raised one of his eyebrows, a little bit. "Oh?" Prefects behaving badly? How fortuitous. "I agree with you." Levi tried not to look too interested. He tried to be cautious. He brought up the crup closer to his chest, hoping it'd make him look at least a little innocent. "It's very selfish that they won't share whatever knowledge is hidden in that part of the library."

.......So much for not being obvious.

Noelle would have awwwwed if she knew Levi better. Some guys didn't like that. She bit her tongue though because him holding the crup to his chest was just adorable. "They seem to really like you." She commented again. Looking into the pin, Noelle grabbed Char lightly before putting her free hand on the fence and throwing herself over the fence until she landed in the pin with the crups. Of course, they all came running to her. Except the one in Levi's arms. "Okay Char. I don't know if you like crups, but don't worry, I wont let them get you." she said, talking to the spider like the spider could understand her. But to Noelle, animals were smart and knew by your tone, what you were trying to say.

"Birdie. Like.... a little paper bird. It tracks you down and you unfold it and theres the note inside. Wait.... you've never sent a birdie before? Okay.... Im sending you one now. So be expecting one from me." She said with a grin to him while the crups pawed at her ankles. She wanted to sit down with them but she didn't want to scare Char.

Noelle was a little amused at the obvious interest that Levi seemed to have with that library. She had it too. 'I think it is too. Can you just imagine what all is in there?" She asked as she idly started walking in between crup jumps. "it has to be dangerous... or else, why would they keep it hidden? But the portal is dangerous. So there must be something in there." Noelle said, thinking outl oud. "[b]Im going to figure out what![b]" She said, Char tucked into her as she walked.

Levi did keep the crup close to his chest for a while, until it became evident that it was about to miss out on whatever fun Noelle had in store for the rest of its four-legged fiends. "Alright, alright! I got it." Levi said, as it began to wiggle against his chest. One lick later--which christened the entirety of his left cheek, it should be said--the crup was back in the pen, frolicking with the rest. "He did seem to like me."
He bit back a smile. "But I think he rather liked the attention more."[/I] Sort of like human beings. Which was strange to think about, humans and crups having so much in common. "Guess he doesn't get cuddles all that often. Shame."

Unlike Noelle, Levi did not abandon his post by the fence. But he did shift positions, a little bit, so that both of his legs were dangling on the side of the pen and thus giving the crups access to not just one of his feet, but both. Not that they were bound to notice anytime soon; Noelle was clearly their new toy. "Eh?" It was also possible he'd grown distracted with the sight of furry four legged, fork-tailed, cute little monsters chasing after one Gryffindor prefect. "Oohhh, nah, I haven't." He'd also never known they were called birdies. "The only letters I get are from home. Sometimes they are howlers." He sounded perfectly fine with this.

He snickered, then cough into his fist in a poor attempt to hide it. Charlotte was perfectly at ease with Noelle which both pleased and unnerved the boy. At least she was tame enough to not attack anyone but also, she clearly had no loyalties. He hopped off the fence, dusted off his hands. "If it's so dangerous, whatever they have in there," He said, walking towards her and then promptly sitting down on the floor, at which point he was crowded by at least three crups. "Then it shouldn't be at Hogwarts." Between being licked and pawed at, Levi did his best to shrug. "Anyway, my theory is that they don't just have books in there. I'm sure there must be some sort of weapon, too."

Attention and crups. Those two went hand in hand. "Nothing wrong with wanting a little bit of attention is there? No there isn't." Noelle ended up saying in a sing song voice at the end as she knelt to rub one of the crups ears. Talking more to the crup than Levi. Char crawled up on her shoulder.

"Do you have a watch on?" She asked Levi as he walked towards her and then plopped down on the ground. She was currently petting a crup, but keeping an eye on Char to make sure she was comfortable. Noelle was still going to send Levi a birdie.

She paused from her walking, a crup running into the back of her legs when she turned to look back at Levi. "A weapon?" She asked curiously. The librarian was awfully protective of her restricted section.... hmm.. 'But what could it be??? And why haven't they used it on the portal?" If she had a weapon hidden, she would have already used it to blow that portal to pieces. Her interest was definitely peaked. "You'll come with me then." She didn't think she needed to ask him.

"The Disillushionment charm that we learned in class not too long ago.... would that sneak us in?"
Again with the out loud thinking.

The attack of the crups continued and it was possible that Levi was slowly dragged down until he ended up completely with his back against the ground and looking up at the sky. Or rather, he would have been looking up at the sky had the crups not crowded around his face, seemingly intent on shoving their tongues up his nose.

Levi began to push them away. He definitely drew the line at that. "Well, we are teenagers," Levi said, struggling to get back into a sitting position. "Enough!" He called at the crups, not unkindly. He grabbed two, placed them both on his lap. "I mean, that's what I read once anyway. We crave attention or something." He for sure did. Sometimes, anyway.

He shot her a quizzical look. "I don't." Declan had his watch for his supposed locator spell. "Why do you need one?" Did she have somewhere to be? Which, was his follow up question, except Noelle really was serious about the whole breaking into the Restricted Section, which was hilarious and so Levi laughed quite heartily. "I'm not saying no, I want to make that very clear." Breaking into the restricted section WAS part of his bucket list. "But, Noelle...how do I put this..." How indeed? "You...are...a...prefect." It was so interesting! that she'd already decided he'd accompany her. And, to be fair, he probably would. "Isn't this a conflict of interest?"

There was a crup attacking her shoe. Noelle was glad that she tied her shoe laces from the inside and tucked them in. If not, the crup would have successfully untied her shoe. Alas, she had that quirky pattern of tucking her shoe laces in just in case they did come un-tied. She didn't want to be tripping down any staircases. hopping over the crup so that the crup wouldn't leave bite marks in her shoes, Noelle looked at Levi as it looked like his face was about to be eaten. Only, they were loving up on him. She giggled.

"I crave attention. I think it's just human nature." She commented and then tilted her head. "where'd you read that at?" She asked him because that wasn't something everyday that people talked about.

Jelly Slugs.
He didn't have a watch. She walked backwards, playing keep away from the crup as she talked. "I was going to transfigure it into a ball so we could play with the crups." She didn't have any place to be yet. Her prefect duties would start soon though.

Why was he reminding her that she was a prefect? She knew that. She looked up from the crup that was chasing her feet. Looking at him, she shot him a crooked grin. "Yes and.. " Only she didn't get to finish, because next then she knew, she was toppling over backward of the a post. She landed on her back, her feet in the air and on the post. Opps. "Char?? You okay??" She asked, scrambling to find the spider.

Levi would have told Noelle a great deal of many things about teenagers and confidence. He'd have probably cited several books as reference, most of which he'd found in his dad's studio, but then Noelle had to go and topple over. It'd have been funny had it not been for the fact that Levi actually cared about Noelle and because Noelle had also been holding Fat Charlotte when it happened.

Well.

Firmly and not entirely gently, Levi disentangled himself from the crups and their playing. Noelle was clearly not doing badly if she could move and call for Charlotte, but it did feel like the right thing to do, so he did. Fortunately, Charlotte was on her way to him by the time he reached the prefect, so Levi merely bent down to scoop her up and placed her on his shoulder. Charlotte, of course, quickly scurried over to hide inside one of his pockets. "You're not very brave, are you? Guess you can't be spending any time in my common room, then."

"She's fine." He supplied, pointing at his pocket. "Charlotte will outlive us all, probably." Levi was mostly joking. Though he was smiling, the boy did frown in slight concern. "Do you need help to stand up? That looked a little rough, Noelle."

Merlin... way to embarrass yourself Noelle.


Her concern right now was on Charlotte. The poor spider had been on her shoulder when she had toppled over backwards. That was a long drop for sch a small creature, not to mention Noelle could have landed on her.

I could have landed on her

Noelle about panicked as she looked around on the ground by her. She shifted until she heard Levi talking and let out a long breath as Charlotte was now making her way inside one of his pockets. Poor spider. She didnt blame her. "Oi, dont chastise her." Noelle said but not very threateningly. She grinned. "Im huge compared to her. Plus that was a long fall."

Speaking of long falls, Noelle glanced to make sure she was okay. In all the excitement, she was more concerned about Charlotte than herself. "I think Im fine. Thats what I get for not looking at where I'm going. Is the crup fine?" The one that she was playing with before she took the dive backwards.

Noelle got up off the ground and dusted her pants off. She had a bit of leaf in her hair that she didnt know about. "Well... " She cleared her throat, blushing a bit from the embarrassment. "What was I saying? Oh right....."


"Yeah Im a prefect, so what?" Hint of a smile.

Levi was going to actually help her stand up, regardless, but Noelle had figured that part out herself. She said she was fine--at least she thought so--and she did look fine, but well--sometimes head injuries did not manifest themselves immediately. But he wasn't going to fuss.

Because he'd reached out for her, his hands had been left hovering near herin what probably was beginning to look very awkward now. So Levi just contented himself with reaching for a leaf that had stuck itself to her hair. It was the kind of action that was probably more intimate than he'd meant to, and he'd realized it far too late to do anything about it now. He played it off like it was no big deal by discarding the leaf to one side, and as Charlotte climbed out of his pocket to rest on his shoulder, Levi pocketed his treacherous hands.

"Uh." The crups. Right. Three of them were beginning to crowd around his feet, one of which looking like it was ready to climb up. He couldn't tell if it was the same he'd held before, but it seemed friendly enough so he reached down to ruffle its head. "I think they are all fine." To his untrained eye, anyway. "Eh? Oh, yeah..." She was for sure a prefect, yes. One of his eyebrows quirked up at her, his smile beginning to show again, halfway. Levi's head tilted to one side, a little bit in wonder. "I feel like i'm worried about losing your badge than you are, Noelle."

Levi never thought he'd say this but Noelle Summers was TROUBLE.

Noelle hadn't realized his hands were right there to help her up until after she was up. She gave a little blush that spread when he reached up to pull a leaf from her hair. Reaching up, she made sure there were no more leaves in her hair before clearing her throat and jumping back over the fence and perching herself on it. Her head hurt a bit in the back but she wasn't going to bring that up. She was sure she had some sort of potion in her trunk for it.

And dammit, he had a cute smile. Noelle returned his smile but looked down to the crups that were all around him now. None looked hurt. "Come one now. One little restricted section trip into the library isn't going to make me loose my bag. Especially if we don't get caught. " She said, her smile turning into a mischievous one. She missed the adventure. Since she got the bag, she'd been so worried about toeing the line. But the restricted section could help them find something to beat the portal. And that was way important.

"We just have to be smart about it." Noelle stated and noticed a scratch on her arm. She brushed of some of the blood. Minor scratch. No big deal. "How well did you do with the disillushionment charm in class?" Noelle asked, the corners of her mouth turned up as she thought.

Noelle's blush was hard to miss though Levi did try to, by looking away and then up at the skies. In his haste to leave the castle with Charlotte, he hadn't been paying much attention to his surroundings, and well, this had turned out to be particularly foolish; he'd missed quite the sight. All the blue already out, hinting at the summer to come. And had he given Noelle enough time? No? Levi looked down again, anyway, settled on her face and almost regretted it.

She was still blushing, of course. And it was hard to ignore when Noelle was right there, and it was, actually, now that he had the time to consider it, cute. He blinked, once. Smiling did come very easy for him, and so Levi looked away again, covering his mouth with half of his palm, more for his sake than Noelle's. She was looking, actually, a little reckless now. "Hm." He said, looking at her sideways, and laughing into his hand. "Don't know if you've heard this before, Noelle, but you are trouble."

It was a little contagious. "I'm great at charms." In fact, Levi was great a lot of things, if he did say so himself, a result of independent studying with his siblings. Most of which could, coincidentally, could probably get them all in trouble. Noting the scratch, Levi lowered his hand and moved closer. "What's your plan, though, other than camouflage? There is no way the restricted section isn't protected by a protective charm or a hundred." Shooting her a look, Levi took her arm and inspected the cut. "I have some essence of murtlap in my trunk." Though probably he'd have to clean it first. "Should I summon it?"

Ugh her cheeks. Why?? They betrayed her. She really couldn't help it but she wish she could have.

Noelle looked up at him again and away from the crups and noticed that he was hiding his smile. Behind his hand. She could still see the little crinkle in his eyes so knew he was smiling. Look away Noelle She thought to herself and did just that. Her eyes went back to the crups who were splitting up. One was coming to play with her shoe laces. She let him. "Trouble isn't always a bad thing Levi." She said, her grin going to the crup.

Oh good. He was good at charms. "Well... i'm thinking of 3 lines of defenses." Because she wasn't sure how much defense the restricted section has. "But I'm open for suggestions. There's the disillusionment charm. Then I bought a few potions from Diagon Alley this summer that change your hair color, looks, features. We could use those. And then.... My secret weapon." A little mischievous gleam in her eye at the last part. She reached down to pat the little crups head.

Noelle saw that look he shot her and she shot one back at him. "It's just a scratch Levi." She said and brushed some dirt from the wound. But the essence of murtlap wouldn hurt it. "But it wouldn't hurt..." Sneakily, she reached up while he was looking at her arm to touch the back of her head. She didn't feel anything wet but there was definitely a knot forming back there.

Noelle Summers sounded like she'd given this a lot of thought or she'd been giving another sort of illegal Hogwarts activity a lot of thought. Enough for her to go out of her way and buy POTIONS to disguise her appearance and apparently... another weapon? Levi was very much intrigued, but his surprise was giving way to laughter, instead. "Okay, if we are using the disillusionment charm why would we need to change our appearance?" It sounded like overkill. "And if we do change it, who would we look like? The librarian?" He paused. "We should also consider the possibility that there might be protective spells in there, too. To keep students from getting in." Surely they were hardly the first with intentions to break in. "But first--what secret weapon is this?"

Levi tried hard not to roll his eyes at her dismissal and he almost succeeded. Instead, he focused on fishing out his wand and smoothly traced the letter S on the air above the wound as he muttered, "Scourgify." He had no idea if it'd hurt or not, as Levi didn't really bother cleaning his own wounds, minor as they always were, but just in case the frothy soap bubbles stung, he quickly washed them off by casting aguamenti.

"I think I did well, don't you think?" Levi was mostly talking to himself, grinning down at his own work, as he turned over arm. But he did chance a look at her. And then, "Accio essence of murtlap!"

That was gonna take a while, no doubt.

Well, if she was being honest, which she was, she had gotten the potions for just in case moments. Perfect for times like these. You could never be too prepared. Ava had convinced her to get them, along with some other items. She grinned at him though. His laughter contagious.

"Polyjuice potions would probably work better. I was concentrating on if I get caught, I could hide my appearance, on who I was." It had been a good plan.... but his was better. "Im pretty good at defensive spells." She was training to be an auror. But she was only in her fifth year. She was considering the defensive spells when he asked her secret weapon. "Oh, Olly of course." Like that answered everything.

"Levi....." She started when she saw him get his wand out. She watched her arm instead of him as he cleaned her wound. "You dont.." She said again as he sent water on the wound. She appreciated him doing that though. Saved her the trouble. "Thank you." she said smally as he finished up. He was conjuring the murtlap too. Merlin's beard.

Levi Kenning... Merlin....

"Back to our planning then?" She asked as she idly moved her foot for the crup to chase it. She wasn't looking at him. Nope. "Defense wise.... what can we do?" Especially if his theory was right and they were holding a weapon in there.

Levi turned to look into the distance, squinting his eyes behind his glasses, to see if he could spot a flying tar of essence of murtlap. Nothing. Which wasn't surprising because the common room was pretty far away and to be fair, it was a complex charm, but--

He was going to give it more time. "I see what you're saying," The boy supplied, biting down on his bottom lip, as he thought over Noelle's plan. Then he remembered he was still holding on to Noelle's arm, unnecessarily; he let it go, then set his wand back in its holster and pocketed his hands. Levi leaned against the fence, one of the crups going back to attacking his laces again. "That's not bad. What is Olly gonna do, then?" Levi only vaguely knew the boy. Very vaguely. "Though I still think we need to research to see what sort of protective spells might or might not be there." If there was one of those that would reveal their true appearance then they'd be done before even starting.

The boy lifted his hands at her, halfway smiling. "Don't mention it. You'd have done the same." Maybe. He was actually not sure. But Noelle just looked like the type. "Well, you said you were the one good at defense? The only defense stuff I know is how to make things blow up or reduce them to nothing." Bombarda and Reducto, Levi meant. "And I don't think those sort of spells are very subtle."

Noelle took a glance as he was looking in the distance. She didn't see anything either so her eyes glanced over to Charlotte, who was peeking out of his pocket. She gave a little finger to the spider in a silent apology for basically throwing her on the ground. At least she looked content in his pocket. Her eyes ventured back to the crups.

.....Distracted. What was he saying? Oh, then her arm was let go, which she hadn't even realized he still had. Blush. Opps. Merlin. She slid that arm into her lap until that murtlap came. "Olly just has very creative thinking. When I'm out of ideas, he usually has about 3 more. " She looked down at the crups as they started playing amongst themselves. Her sock apparently not being entertaining enough. "Hogwarts, A History... that should have some information on the protective spells that the library has right?" Noelle asked suddenly thinking clearly.

She hopped off the fence post, the back of her head giving a little twinge. She gave a little winch but wasted no time in getting to her bag, which she left unattended by the barn. Pulling out the book, she began shirting through it trying to find any answers.

"Oh!! Here!" Noelle exclaimed excitedly before looking up. "Oi! Levi! Watch out behind you!" Murtlap coming in!

Noelle Summers' non-stop blushing continued to be unavoidable, so Levi decided he just wasn't going to look at her anymore unless he absolutely had to. Which was a problem, of course, because he liked to look at people in the eye when he talk to them. So, he compromised; he'd not look down as he'd originally planned, but he'd focus instead on Noelle's shoulders and to keep things interesting, he'd add her neck, too, to the approved viewing areas.

What Levi had not considered was that specifically looking at just one part of Noelle would be distracting. For one, he had to focus on not looking anywhere but her neck and shoulders. And two, well, Noelle had a nice neck. So, there was that. "Eh? Oh..." This seemed to be a recurring phrase, now. "Olly sounds like my brother, then." Except Declan's ideas tended to be sometimes, at best, questionable. And possibly illegal. Puzzled at Noelle's choice of words, Levi did her best to follow her neck and when she exclaimed what she was looking for, the Gryffindor boy roared with laughter.

"Do you just walk around carrying that book, Noelle?"

At which point exactly, Noelle alerted him about the murtlap and Levi saw it just in time for the plastic jar to hit him across the face. He lost his balance, stumbling backwards, and hitting the post. Levi reached to gingerly touch a side of his face. "Uh. Ow." He'd had finer moments, no doubt. But a bruise would add a certain kind of flair to his face, wouldn't it? "Anyway." He said, pointing at the jar where it laid on the grass and was about to be attacked by the crups. "There you go. Use as much as you need." Ow.

Why. Was. She. Blushing. So. Much??
It was probably because Noelle felt like an utter embarrassment. Falling over, scrapping her arm, not having any good ideas. Sigh. This blushing thing needed to stop.

She managed to breathe while she was getting her book, so that helped as she had turned around with Hogwarts, A History. Her face was back to normal. All but her ears, which was safely tucked under her hair. She was going to answer Levi's question about the book. She was doing a report for Professor Stewart and had needed it, hence the reason it was in her bag. But she didn't get a chance to.

Right after Noelle had warned Levi about the murtlap essence, he was being hit upside the head with it. Ouch. Noelle stifled a giggle and held her hand over her mouth because that obviously wasn't the right thing to do. Giggle when someone got hurt. She put the Hogwarts, A History book on one of the posts and restrained that giggle from emerging as she bent to get the murtlap essence. "Are... Oh Merlins beard, the giggle almost escaped. ... Let's try that again. Noelle breathed and did a funny thing with her mouth that pretty much defined "stay back there". Once she thought that giggle would stay back she tried again. "Are you alright?"

Her face was smooth, a tad bit concern on her face as she looked him over and winced. "That looked like it hurt." She quickly opened the murtlap essence and rubbed some on her scratch before holding it out for him. "You might need this. Or... maybe I have some bruise paste I can accio."

Merlin the giggle escaped as soon as she said accio.
Embarrassment!

The problem was that his ego as bruising along with his face, possibly at a much faster speed. Levi leaned against the fence, hand still massaging his face, and left out a sigh. There was, for sure, something to be said about life always finding a way to say, hey! I'm still here! Don't forget me, or ELSE!

"I'm fine." He was. He could not taste any blood and a quick prod of his own molars with his tongue told him everything was firmly in place, still. Probably because the jar was only made of plastic. "I'm fine." He repeated, mostly to himself.

Noelle was, of course, seemingly having some kind of field day at his expense. He rolled his eyes. Levi moved, going for the essence of murtlap and slapping some over his face without much care, and so, he winced, visibly.

"You are mean," He informed her, relatively candidly, screwing the lid on the jar. "But it's refreshing so I'm okay with it." He held the jar close to his chest, grinned. "I'll accept your paste as payment for my services and for laughing at me."

Noelle still had her mouth covered as Levi took the murtlap essence and rubbed it on his face. Poor bloke, he'd slapped himself in the haste and she'd seen him wince. She bit her lip to keep another giggle from rudely escaping.

It was rude. But Noelle honestly couldn't help it. If she'd been hit like that... she'd have laughed as well. It was a mechanism. "Sorry" She said from behind her hand, trying to make her eyes show what she said. Because she did mean it.

"I don't mean to be. That was just..." Noelle chewed her lip because another giggle was trying to escape. It wasn't triumphant. "I hope your face is okay." Especially since she'd been the reason he accioed it.

"Okay but like... get behind me yeah?? I'm going to accio it." She pulled her wand out and accioed it. She'd give it a few minutes.
