What a beautiful day.

Jordan decided to let all the crups out from the barn. Most of them were new additions to this school's collection. He remembered that Kay wanted to have a crup and maybe she wanted to adopt one of them. "Come on, buddies!" The CoMC Professor led the crups out and let them play around the creatures backyard. "Now, who wants some food?" He brought some crup biscuits and let all the crups came gathering on his feet.

Seemed like all of them were hungry and wanted the biscuits, huh?

Olly. Loved. Crups. They were his favorite animal ever. He may have been just a bit influenced by the fact that he had his own loyal and very lovable crup at home. He loved Henry and, by extension, loved all crups to ever exist ever.

He had visited the crups a few times last year. Mostly toward the end of the year because, to be honest, he had kind of forgotten that the barn was here and that there were crups in it. Now that he knew it was there he would probably come back a lot. Sometimes to draw and sometimes just to play or cuddle. Except when he got to the barn this time there were no crups inside. That was strange. Olly kept walking until he found out why. They were all playing outside. How adorable.

"Hi professor!" He called to the Care of Magical Creatures professor who had let all his crups out of the barn. He grinned and headed toward the group, petting the crup nearest to him as he got closer. "Nice day to play outside."

It was right after her run that morning that Kay made her way to the creatures' backyard. She was slightly sweating and panting a bit. Her hair was French braided and hung over her right shoulder so that it was in front of her instead of being tied up as it had been last night. The woman wanted to take a peek at the crups before she helped her friend take care of all the other creatures.

Reaching her destination, the woman gave an excited little squeal. What a pretty sight! Look at all the crups! “Good gracious, Jordan! Had there always been this many crups here last term?’’ Kay didn’t hesitate to go closer to the cute little creatures. “Hi, Jordan. Hello, Mr Thomas-Borzekowski. Are you here to help us take care of the crups?’’ The more, the merrier.

“Have you got anymore of those biscuits, Jordan? I’d like to feed them.’’

Animal lover, yep that was her. Also a big lover of magical creatures, flowers and music. But today it was all about about the creatures. She had just came from the barn, spending time with and feeding the winged horses and the hippogryffs. Those were her favorites, and the nifflers. They all always got her attention when she came down to the barn. Of course, she couldn't leave anyone out.

She also noticed that Professor Hernandez had a horse, horse. Maybe she hadn't noticed it until now, for simply looked over it. Or maybe the horse was new. This however give her a idea. A idea that she would have to ask from professor Hernandez' permission and also ask her parents. She hoped it was a go. Now she need to find said professor.

She walked from the barn, back up toward the castle and.... HELLO little Cruppy! She bent down the pet the rogue crup who had found her. "Hello, cutie." Where did you come from? She looked around for where he might have came from. Seeing Professor Hernandez , an Professor Stewart, as well as Oliver the seventh year. What luck?

She stood back up, luring the crup to come with her. Jogging up the three of them, with the crup chasing her. "Looks like you have a run away." It was all good the crup seem to like her.

Goodness, it was not easy for handling all crups by himself. All of them were hungry and needed attention, but then someone was coming and at least he could ask him or her some helps? Thank you very much. "Hello, Mr. Thomas-Borzekowski." Hopefully Jordan didn't butcher his name since that Slytherin boy had a very awful long surname. "Yeah, it is. I think it would be nice for them to play outside at least once or twice a week." He explained to Oliver while giving some biscuits to Marshmallow. "Would you like to feed or play with them?" He had provided some chew toys, sticks, tennis balls, some crup food and biscuits if he wanted to help him.

Also, some of them might need a little grooming. Hence why Jordan also prepared the grooming supply kits.

A moment later, the CoMC professor saw a woman coming. "Glad to see you not in a ridiculously high-alarming ponytail again." He said as Kaysha coming. Still cannot help with the teasing, huh? "Nah, most of them are newcomers to the barn. Most students love them, so why didn't I add several crups to our barn collection?" And also, he remembered that the muggle studies professor wanted a crup, so maybe she would like to adopt one. "Yeah, I do. You can get biscuits in the box there." He said as he pointed to the box not far from him.

"Miss Delgado," Jordan greeted a Hufflepuff girl who had just joined him. "Glad to see you join us with the crup fun day." Yeah, that's what he's calling.

Of course, that made sense. Crups liked to play outside. At least, his did. He assumed all of them did. Who wouldn't like to play outside? Olly would definitely play outside with the crups. He nodded his head eagerly. "Yes please. All of the above." Olly spotted the box of biscuits and grabbed one. That, of course, made him very popular with the crups. He tossed it in the air and let one snatch it. "Good job," he cooed to the victorious crup.

He had not been there long when more people arrived. That was probably good because there were plenty of crups and they all needed attention. "Hello Professor." He greeted Professor Stewart. He thought her question was a very good one. Now that she mentioned it he did see that there were much more crups than there had been last year. Not that he was complaining, of course. He turned his attention back to Professor Hernandez. "What are all of their names?"

Then there was someone else too. A Hufflepuff girl Olly didn't really know. He grinned and waved at her anyway. The more the merrier.

Kay pouted a little. “You know how to put a girl down, Jordan.’’ She laughed as she patted the top of her head. She did love plaiting her hair and French braids were her favourite. Now her attention was fully back on the crups. How cute they were! “It’s wonderful that you’ve gotten new additions. I know where I’m going to be spending most of my free time now.’’ The woman thought that Jordan was being thoughtful the way he reasoned that the students would love having more crups around.

The enthusiastic Kaysha took some biscuits from the offered box which made a few of the creatures come bounding up to her feet. If possible, she would have melted right there and then. She held out biscuits for them to take and they snapped them up in no time. Yes, names! Kay wanted to know there names. Good question, Oliver.

She peered over her shoulder when he heard someone else join them. “Hello, Ms Delgado! I think that one likes you.’’ It seemed to be following her around. “Jordan, I’ll be only taking care of your crups now.’’ She was teasing him, of course. She would still be keeping up her end of their deal.

That crup was just the cutest little thing. They all were really. Kat was totally down with crup fun day. Too bad crup fun day wasn't everyday. How awesome would that be? She smiled as she got closer to the three of them "Hello Professor Hernandez, How could anyone miss a day like today?" She said with a chuckle, and beamed at all of the cruppies. HOW CUTE!

Oh Yeah, Oliver had a really good question she looked at the crups then at Professor Hernandez. What are all of their names?

"Hello Professor Stewart," Giving her a wave. She turned to smile at the crup that followed her, "Yes, I think so. I think I made a new friend." She bent down to pet the cruppy again. "I think he wants a treat." She laughed. Yes the crup looked hungry for a treat. Kat wouldn't mind a treat herself, just not one of the crup's treats.

Oh come on, who didn't want to take care of the crups? Jordan knew that so many students love them, they're cute and fun and extremely loyal to the witches and wizards. "Do you have experience of taking care the crups?" The CoMC Professor asked. Sometimes they could be very handy.

Turning back to Kaysha, he squinted a little. "I am not putting you down, silly. I'm just telling the truth." And the truth was his colleague looked very childish and ridiculous with the high ponytail. "And I should tell you that having a high ponytail wouldn't add your height." Haha. "Hold on, our deal is you have to help me with ALL the creatures, not only the crups. That is not fair." He protested a little.

"That is a good question, Miss Delgado. How could anyone missed a beautiful day and play with the cruppies?" Jordan said to the Hufflepuff girl. "Feel free to grab the biscuits for the crups. I have provided them there." He pointed to the box. And as for the names? Honestly he still needed to learn about them. "Those three with the forked tail are still unnamed." He said. "But the others are uh.... Daisy, Spot, Marshmallow, Schuyler, Ariel and... Lily." They had the names on their collar FYI.

The woman refrained from laughing and made the pouty face a little more. “You could have fooled me, Jordan.’’ She had gotten over the little sinking feeling she had gotten when he had told her about her hair style but now she was just teasing him. “I’m not trying to add height. Just because you’re so tall...’’ And with that, she couldn’t keep her laughter back. “But they’re so adorable! I just want to take care of only them.’’ She laughed again. “I’m only pulling your leg. I’ll keep my promise.’’

Kay readily held out a few biscuits for Kat to take though she knew Jordan would direct her to the box. Sharing was fun, anyway. “Either of you own a crup?’’ She was referring to Oliver and Kat. Lots of persons owned a crup but her. She stooped before the one that had came up to her. “Hello, little fellow.’’ Kay fed and patted him which caused him to bark in what she hoped was happiness. That’s when she noticed its collar. “This one’s named Marshmallow.’’ What a cute name!

The Professor was in heaven.

Olly was nodding for both of the professors. They had asked different questions but he had the same answer. "Yes. I have a crup at home. His name is Henry. I take care of him all the time when I'm at home." He had been very careful to do everything the right way and read lots of crup care books and stuff. If there was a question about that on his OWLs he would be very prepared.

"They don't have names?" He frowned and peered at the little ones with their still forked tails. One had ran over and tried to nibble on his shoe. He grinned at it and went to grab a treat. "They have to have names. Are you going to name them? I could help you if you wanted."

The blonde just kept smiling, as she watched the crups. She would love to have a crup. Maybe one day. "It's a great day to be outside." The possibilities were endless of things to do outside today. But yes the professor had the crups out so this was what Kat was going to do with such a lovely day. "No, Professor Stewart. I wish I did. I've got way to many other pets at home."

"Thanks. She'll love a biscuit." Kat took a biscuit or two for her new cruppy friend. She knelt down and give the little crup Daisy a treat. She was the one that kept following her around. She had a horse with that same name. No wonder why the crup had made friends with her.

No. What? Those ones don't have names. "Can I help you name them. Professor?" She was very good at naming pets she had named all of hers. And cruppies shouldn't go too long without a name. They might get confused by the ones that already had names.

Okay then. "I'm still expecting you every morning before 6 am at the barn. You should help me bathing the horses and other large creatures too." He said half serious. Turning to Oliver, Jordan nodded when he knew that the Slytherin guy had a crup back home. "Ah, I see. So you're quite familiar with their care then." Sometimes crups could be quite handful.

About the names... "Well... I lacked of the idea what should I name them." The CoMC professor said scratching his head."Well, there are three unnamed crups, so I think each of you should name them." Since they volunteered to name them and he didn't mind, although... He kinda hoped that none of them named the crups after sweet treats again, Marshmallow was enough. Jordan then watched his colleague played with Marshmallow. "I can see that she likes you. Maybe you should adopt her."

Jordan was such a big bully. Not really; Kay just wanted to tease him but with the students around it would be very much inappropriate to do that. For one thing, she didn’t want them to think Jordan was actually a bully. She simply smiled innocently and said, “Maybe.’’

Kay continued to feed and oat Marshmallow. She was simply a cutie and she fell in love with her right away. She tried to lick her face and she let her. “That's a great reat idea,’’ she told Oliver and Kat. The woman had a feeling that Jordan wouldn’t mind. "You're welcome, Ms Delgato.''

Hang on. Did Jordan just said that she could adopt Marshmallow? Kay was speechless for a while then her expression brightened considerably more. “Really, Jordan? Oh, thank you so much!’’ In her excitement, she got to her feet and gave him a quick but friendly hug. Did he have any idea how much she appreciated him?

Noelle needed to get out of the castle a bit.

With OWLs this year, her being a new prefect, and all the crazy portal things happening... She just wanted to be out of there for a little bit. Professor Hernandez had the right idea to stay out on the grounds.

Heading to the barn, she spotted some crups outside playing in the snow. Grinning, Noelle went over and peered over the fence as two of them chased each other. It was adorable.

Noelle couldn't have crups at her farm. Her dad was muggle and crups just didn't seem to like him. Mum had tried bringing one home, one time. IT had been a disaster. The crup wouldn't stop barking at her dad and even tried to bite him a couple times. Needless to say, Tiger was sent back.

Levi's idea of taking Fat Charlotte out for a walk consisted on placing the tarantula over his shoulder. Sometimes Fat Charlotte decided to move over to the top of his had or to crawl down to sit on the front of his Gryffindor scarf.

The boy let his feet take him and the tarantula wherever they pleased. As it turned out, it was around the Care of Magical Creatures area, a place Levi rarely ventured into. He had chosen against taking the class on his third year, and most of his outdoor activities took place away from whatever magical creatures Professor Hernandez (right?) kept there.

"Are those crups?" They sure looked like crups. Playing and rolling in the snow, not a care in the world. He supposed that was fairly adorable. "Look, Charlotte," Levi felt for the tarantula at the top of his curly head and grabbed it. He thrust it forward, helping her get a better look, or so he intended. "It's dinner." He was joking, of course. Maybe. Levi chortled to himself and placed the tarantula back on his shoulder. Then he turned to look at the familiar girl close by, grin on his face. "Hey, Noelle."

Noelle laughed when one of the crups tackled the other ones. She couldn't help it. It was funny. The young crup had the older one by the ear and was tugging it. It was a wonder how the older crup didn't bite the younger one.

Hearing someone come up, Noelle looked and saw Levi, her fellow Gryffindor. She smiled until she saw that spider on his head. A spider was on his head. And he was talking to it. AND it was huge. ............
Noelle wanted to touch it. 'Is your spider's name Charlotte?" That was cute. Especially if it was in reference to Charlotte's web. A really old children's story. "Does she bite? Can I touch her?" It wasn't often that Noelle saw spiders as pets.

The crups were pretty cute. They were not the sort of cute Levi personally wanted around but even he could admit he'd not mind to nuzzle their fuzzy heads a few times.

He turned back to Noelle, who had that look to her eye that people always caught when they first met Charlotte. Well, one of the two--the other was plain terror, though thankfully that didn't look like it was her case. The boy plucked Charlotte from his shoulder and held her on his palm. Charlotte held very still. The Kenning siblings could be accused of many things but no one could ever say they hadn't trained their pet well. For the most part. "Yes, that's her name but she's not really mine." Levi looked at the tarantula almost fondly. "Charlotte, this is Noelle. Say hi." Charlotte continued to hold herself still. He scooted closer to the prefect until Charlotte was within her reach, and grinned. "You can hold her. Charlotte is adventurous but she's a saint, mostly."

The crups were not getting the attention they deserved. Because, now all of Noelle's attention had been moved to the furry little big spider that was perched in Levi's hand now.

Noelle stuck one finger out and gently stroked the spiders round bottom? She wasn't sure what part she could really touch. But it was a pet right? It wouldn't hurt her. ... Right?

"Hey Charlotte! Aren't you beautiful!" Noelle told Charlotte in a singsong voice. "Whose spider is this/" Noelle asked Levi, her eyes moving to look at him.

She was a little nervous to hold the spider. But she never back down from a challenge... and animals. Putting her hands out, palm up, she coaxed the spider into the palm. "you're so pretty. Yes you are!" Again, with the sing song voice.

Levi would have called Charlotte a lot of things. He had in fact called her a lot of things in the past and most of them had been very kind. But he couldn't remember ever calling Charlotte beautiful. Or thinking of her as beautiful. It was--well, she supposed she was a fine specimen. Well fed and typically well behaved. But. Not his idea of beauty, maybe.

Declan probably would have called her beautiful, though. Possibly, he already had, many times in the past. Levi had distinct memories of Declan cooing at Charlotte, actually, as though the tarantula was a human baby. "She is quite elegant, I agree." Elegant was the best he could do. Oops. He allowed Noelle to do the usual baby talk and to take hold of the pet. Levi watched them both with a slight smile on his face. "She is Declan's. We've had her for... a few years now." Sometimes it felt like she'd been around forever though Levi knew better. Not exactly how much, but.

He remembered Noelle probably had no idea who Declan was, so he amended by saying, "Oh, Declan is my brother, he's a year older." He also had a younger sister, but that was neither here nor there. Levi felt like saying Althea's name would summon her at once. He did not have the energy to deal with her at the moment. He pocketed his hands, watched her with some curiosity. "Shouldn't you be doing like, rounds, or something?" Or whatever it was prefects were supposed to do, at any rate.

Everything had beauty in her opinion. That was her Hufflepuff mother's influence on her. Even the ugliest animal had beauty. Charlotte being a good example. She wasn't your usual specimen. Beady eyes, hairy body, long legs, and big rump. Plus she probably had fangs that she wasn't showing. But Noelle thought she was beautiful nonetheless.

"Declan?" She had started to ask while petting Charlotte, who was in her palm. But Levi was already answering. Oh his brother! Okay, she hadn't known that he had a brother. "Oh yeah? Does he go here?" Noelle knew a few people... maybe he knew them? "Are you spider sitting today?" She asked trying to figure out why he had his brother's spider.

Noelle raised her brows at his question if she was supposed to be doing rounds. "Um... no? We have designated times. I don't do patrols or rounds all day everyday." She said to him, wondering if he just wanted his spider back or well.... his brother's spider back. She'd be happy to give Charlotte back. "Are you supposed to be anywhere?" Noelle countered, a little amused expression playing on her lips.

That someone didn't know his brother was a strange thing to consider. Though it should not have been; it wasn't like Declan or even Althea were one of those hugely popular students the entirety of Hogwarts seemed to know. But they were such a big part of Levi's life that his instinct was always to assume everyone would know who he was talking about.

Levi knew this was the result of not widening his circle of friends beyond his siblings, but. Well. He really had no excuse other than spending too much time reading or in his head. Though he liked to think of it as a work in progress. "Yeah, he's in Slytherin." He moved closer and scratched the top of Charlotte's head in a distracted fashion. She settled down on Noelle's palm, her version of sitting down, he supposed. It made him grin, a little bit. "I guess I am. I just wanted a valid excuse to leave the castle, I think, so I just decided to take her out for a walk."

Not that Charlotte did a lot of walking. It wasn't like they'd been able to find a harness small enough to fit her, though they'd tried. "Oh, sorry." He'd not meant to offend, so his grin turned a little bashful. "I just assumed you prefects are always busy doing, I don't know--enforcing the rules? Helping lost first years?"

Noelle had known Levi for a bit, but hadn't been one on one with him for quite some time. She enjoyed his calmness. Especially with everything that has been happening lately. Plus, there was the benefit of getting to hold a huge spider. Her mom would have had a fit. ... She might ask if she can get one.

Charlotte was being remarkably good, not trying to escape or even get adventurous on Noelle's general person, so he leaned the fence and pocketed one of his gloved hands. The other one he used to scratch his chin. "Hmmm, I think the name sounds familiar," Maybe he said, thoughtful. "If I see him I'm sure I'd know who he is. I don't know a lot of Slytherins, though, other than my brother and a couple of other people." To be fair, Levi didn't really know a lot of people, period. Such were the disadvantages of not extending his circle of friends beyond his books, journal and his two siblings.

Levi actually bark out a laugh at Noelle's suggestion, successfully startling a couple of the playing crups. "Sorry!" He called at them from over his shoulder and turned his laughing face back to Noelle. "And sorry to you, too." For laughing, of course. Charlotte had begun to crawl up to Noelle's arm and Levi plucked her again, returning her to his fellow Gryffindor's palm. "We don't use a leash, though trust me, not for lack of trying." He grinned. "She's a good girl, though, so we just carry her on our shoulders," Sometimes heads, obviously, "When we walk her."

He reached for Charlotte again, this time to scratch her side. "I suppose it's been rough," Levi supplied, "The portals and all that."
