| | Charms Lesson 2: Now You see Me It's a warm late March morning right around Easter when you walk into the charms classroom. As always, Professor Marchand has some refreshments laid out on the table in the back of the room for your enjoyment. Today's offerings: strawberry punch and sugar cookies decorated to look like bunnies and Easter eggs. Please help yourself to a few!
Today's seating arrangement has the desks in traditional rows, but there's something strange. On top of each desk is an Easter basket with three large eggs inside. But not to worry... these are Easter eggs, not dragon eggs! And the eggs aren't the only thing different. You quickly notice that there's no sign of the professor! Instead you'll find a note written on the blackboard: Quote: Please DO NOT open the eggs! They are for today's activity. Have a seat and help yourself to some refreshments, if you wish. You'll see me soon! Looks like the professor isn't here yet... Or is he? Lesson Progression: Name something about disillusionment charms How do you find an object under a disillusionment charm? Practice MAIN ACTIVITY: Disillusioned Easter egg hunt OOC: Class will start in ABOUT 24 HOURS CLASS HAS STARTED! |

Rula quickly scribbled down the notes before drawing her wand. She mumbled, "Disillusiona," a couple times, just to get used to the word again, and then she moved on to practiced the wand movement for the human version of the spell. There wasn't any need to practice a simple flick of her wand; plus, she'd done okay in her outside-of-class practicing with objects. She hadn't really practiced disillusioning a human yet though. So she moved her wand in the twirling motion several times.
Was she supposed to properly practice this one though? Disillusion someone else? It seemed like they were mainly going to be casting on the eggs today, so maybe that was something she could try later.
She moved on to practicing Revelio next, saying the incantation a few times before moving on to the wand movement, which was a little more difficult. It was an odd type of movement, an eye shape, and it took several slow attempts before she managed to get it right at a more normal speed.
Okay! Now to try it on an egg.
Rula flicked her wand and said, "Disillusiona." The egg disappeared...and began emitting a loud, obnoxious beeping sound.
Her spell worked - good. That beeping was annoying - not good. "Revelio!" she said, quickly moving her wand in a - admittedly sloppy - eye shape. And apparently sloppy enough to prevent the egg from appearing again. Ugh.
Deep breath. Ignore the distracting beeping. "Revelio." This time, she put a little more effort into the right wand movement.
The egg appeared, and the beeping stopped. Success!

| YesJess! | Captain Goggles | Mama Badger | Eva's Soul Sister | An OG™ | It's all in the Numbers Wait.... they COULD summon people?! Skylar sat up straighter, definitely not paying attention to the fact that the Professor had stated he did not advise it. The fact that people could be summoned was just enough to get her attention and divert it from all things related to the lesson.
It took all her strength to refocus her attention on practicing the disillusionment charm and revealing charm, because her thoughts were on the summoning charm. She didn't even care about Henry and Charlotte working together. Getting her wand out, she scrunched up her face in attempt to refocus, because it was all about the intent and last thing she wanted was for the Professor to think she was up to something with wanting to summon people. As handy as it would be; like imagine, one could just summon a healer when they were sick. Or well, whoever they wanted.
Disillusionment charm first, Skylar twirled her wand around her, which felt kind of weird and awkward. She'd imagine it would be easier to cast this on someone else, then on one's self, given the nature of the wand movement, but she was determined to do her best. "Disillusiona. Disillusiona. Disillusiona." she said a few times, feeling sure of the incantation. "Revelio, revelio, revelio." Wait, maybe she wasn't supposed to practice on herself, but rather on their eggs? She spotted Katherine performing it on the egg and had to admit she was rather confused, because well, the Professor demonstrated on himself, hadn't he? But perhaps he didn't want any accidents, so the egg would be safer...
Flicking her wand at the egg, she said carefully, "Disillusiona" and watched as the egg began to take the color and shadings of her desk, with the exception of the small white tip. Oops? Ah well, she was close enough... But close enough was not good enough. "Revelio," Sky cast, her wand forming the eye shape clockwise, as she watched her egg reappear.
Time to practice again, to get a complete disillusionment.

His eyes caught a glimpse of something that seemed hauntingly familiar and he quickly turned his parchment over to start a new page. He needed to... focus. Henry looked up at the board and wrote down the information before beginning to practice. Disillusiona... Disillusiona... Henry repeated the incantation in his head a few times before trying it out loud. The wand tap on an object was simple enough. But maybe the twirling around a person would be a little more difficult. The sixteen year old got up from his seat to try twirling the wand around him as if to disillusion himself, which he fully intended to try out at some point. It was kind of an awkward movement but he tried it a few times until he felt more comfortable with it. "Hey, Char..?" He glanced over at the girl next to him. "Can I try the wand twirling around you?" Might as well know how to disillusion another person too, right? And it would be a somewhat slight different maneuver to twirl the wand around another person as opposed around oneself. Humm. Charlotte was lost in thought hearing the professor's responses to different answers. She was eager to master this spell though. She'd never really had any reason to disillusion anything so far in her day to day life... but she supposed it would be useful.
Charlotte examined the eggs in front of her and decided to try and get all three disillusioned in one go. That would be a bit of a challenge, wouldn't it? She flicked her wand, focusing on the three eggs. "Disillusiona!" Two of the eggs flickered and then disappeared, the third was more stubborn and Charlotte frowned at it even as the scent of flowers wafted up from one of them, and the other started beeping.
Baking cookies would be better next time, and maybe something less annoying than the beeps? Eep! Charlotte tried to stay calm and not get flustered as she cast the revealing charm. Now this she was confident with already. She traced the clockwise eye shape oval thing and firmly said, "Revelio!" Managing to reveal both eggs in the one. The noise and the smell stopped.
Okay but she wanted to get three eggs at the same time!
Char looked up at Henry and smiled. "Sure!" She trusted him. He could try make her invisible if he liked.

| Shoe!Girl │ Rebel Ravie │ Confundus Queen │ RP Addict It was obvious, as answers had continued to be given, that the general opinion of the class was that her answer hadn’t exactly been creative. Elle didn’t mind. She hadn’t been going for creativity exactly, just giving the first answer that had come to her mind. Plus, it seemed that she’d hit on the one that they were going to be working on for the lesson, although she wouldn’t have been against practicing any of the other spells that had been mentioned. Not that she would have tried summoning a person. There really weren’t many people she would have thought about summoning anyhow, that weren’t in the lesson already.
Either way, before she had even taken her wand out, she had jotted down the notes about both spells. Just for reference, so she wouldn’t have to keep taking her focus away to look up at the board to remind herself once she began practicing. Only then did she take her wand out, leaving it loose in her hand for the time being. Incantations first. “Disillusiona,” she said softly, before repeating it again a bit louder and a few times before she decided she had that incantation down. Honestly, she hadn’t really thought she needed to work on Revelio, considering she’d already proven she knew that incantation, but she repeated it a few times just for good measure before she moved to practicing the wand movements.
First for the disillusionment charm, and she began with the flicking motion for the objects. Quickly, she’d moved onto the human version, twirling her wand in the imaginary rope formation around an invisible person. She wasn’t about to accidentally cast the charm on any of her neighbors after all, which could have been possible since she’d been thinking of the incantation during her practice. Either way, she felt like she’d gotten it down, so then she moved on to Revelio again. The eye shape wasn’t entirely difficult, although it needed concentration the first few times she’d tried it. It wasn’t exactly a usual motion to be making, even given the complex spells she’d learned over the years. Only then did she apply her attention to the eggs on her desk.
The wand flick was simple, and she added the incantation this time. “Disillusiona.” A single egg disappeared after a moment, followed by a gentle floral scent that she actually found rather pleasant. It reminded her of being in the greenhouses, and therefore it took a second or two before she’d lifted her wand again. “Revelio.” Tracing the eye shape with the tip of her wand again, she was almost disappointed when the egg reappeared and the scent vanished.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Natasha Shenoy Slytherin Fourth Year Hogwarts RPG Name: Andrea Bowen Gryffindor Fifth Year | 2 SUMMER FOREVER It was time to put the spells to use now.
Etta could do this, yeah? Quite simple. She just stared at the eggs for a few moments before taking a deep breath. Clutching her wand tightly, she said, "Disillusiona." And accompanied it with the correct wand movement.. which was just a flick of the wand. Ooooooh, they disappeared!
But UGH. The beeping sound! Stoooooop. Etta closed her eyes. What was the reverse spell again? Revelio. Okay, okay. Trying not to get too distracted by the noise, she moved her wand in the shape of an eye -- and said, "Revelio! --- uh?? That didn't work.
Shaking her head, she tried to concentrate once again and repeated the spell and wand movement once again. Pleaaaaase work. And this time, she could see the eggs clearly again. WOOT.

Gaston continued to keep an eye on his class from behind his desk.most of the class seemed to be picking up on both spells very quickly. He was inpressed. This was very advanced spellwork. He glanced at his watch... time to move on.
He rose and cleared his throat, giving the class a few moments to find a stopping place and pay attenton before speaking. "Well done, everyone! I'm very pleased with the progress you've made so far. If you feel you need more practice you'll have more time to do so momentarily, but now we must move on..." "Today, in honor of the Easter holiday, we're having an easter egg hunt," he continued. " but as an added challenge, the eggs will be disilusioned. First, you'll find a place to hide the three eggs in your baskets, then once you've hidden your egg cast a disillusionment charm. After you've hidden all of your eggs, you're free to search for the eggs other students have hidden. Use your other senses, cues from your environment, other spells, whatever means you choose to help you look. If you suspect an egg is nearby, cast Revelio to uncover it." "And NO going back for our own eggs!" he added quickly. That would be cheating!
He gave the students some time to process this information before going on. "I had originally planned for you to hide eggs all around the school, but with the current restrictions..." There was no way he was putting his students' lives in danger for a charms lesson! "We'll just have to improvise..." He pointed his wand at the wall opposite the door, and it vanished. In its place was a large field with trees, tall grass, flowers, and a few rocks here and there... plenty of good hiding places for easter eggs! "I'll be able to see everything that goes on here; if you should need help, just raise your hand. Any eggs you find are yours to keep - there are candy and small prizes inside. Work alone or with a partner, your choice; you have the rest of class to work." He motioned for the class to get started but quickly remembered he'd almost forgotten the most important thing. "REMEMBER - the point of this is to practice the disillusionment and revealing charms, NOT to find the most eggs!" OOC: Sorry for the delay (tech issues)! Anyway it's finally activity time! As Gaston said, hide your eggs first, then go looking for the others. There is no minimum post requirement, but you must include hiding AND seeking eggs for full credit. Feel free to make up the prizes inside the eggs you find. Grade is based on effort, not the number of eggs collected. If you have questions, indicate in the title of your post and we'll get back to you ASAp. You have ABOUT 60 HOURS to do this activity!

Hogwarts RPG Name: Solana Selwyn Slytherin Fifth Year Hogwarts RPG Name: Selene Diana Evans Ravenclaw Seventh Year | One post! Mini activity! Snow Miser | Munchy | Molly Hooper | T | Hey, you | Phantom | Mrs. Chris Evans | Brat Pack | Tristalen Leon actually knew this spell, he had known it for several year due to the fact that he wanted to be an Auror and this spell was rather crucial for all things stealth and tracking..
But he practiced the wand movement and then the spell, "Disillusiona, Disillusiona, Disillusiona. " The seventh year said almost lazily before smiling and bit and attempting to make this a little harder, he had done non verbal spells before, but this one seemed a bit higher in difficulty! So he aimed his wand at the eggs, and then with a flick of his wand he thought Disillusiona!
Huh.. well that hadn't worked!
Leon aimed his wand at the eggs and then flicked his wand again, focusing more on the spell and what he wanted to have happen and thought.. 'Disillusiona!'
A smile moved over his face as the eggs disappeared and thankfully! His didn't beep! He was smelling a lovely rose scent though, so he knew where they were!
Now for the counterspell! "Revelio, Revelio, Revelio!" He practiced the words before moving his wand in the eye shaped motion, this wand motion was rather difficult to produce and so he took a few minutes making sure he and that down perfectly before attempting to use it on the eggs! "Revelio!" He said as he aimed his wand at the eggs and nodded as they came back into view!
Perfect! Now one more time non verbally! 'Disillusion!' He thought as he flicked his wand tip at his eggs and voila!
That worked! Now for the next one! 'Revelio' He thought as he did the complicated wand movement and nodded as the eggs came back into view! All right, he was ready!

They were having an easter egg hunt! Olly felt pretty proud of himself for guessing that, even if it hadn't really been very hard to guess. But it sounded fun. Looking for eggs that were invisible would be a lot harder than a normal egg hunt. But if these ones gave off some kind of indication, then it should be alright? Still hard, but not impossible.
First things first, he needed to disillusion his eggs and hide them. Olly turned his attention back to the egg on his desk. "Disillusiona." With a flick of his wand, it disappeared...and started making that annoying noise again. He quickly repeated the charm on each of the other eggs, glad neither of them had the same sort of annoying indication. He gathered them up, which felt really weird since he couldn't actually see what he was carrying, and hurried over to the grassy area to hide them. One he put behind a rock, one he managed to balance on a tree branch, and finally he was left with just the annoying one. Olly didn't know what to do with it and he just wanted it to be as far away from him as possible so he threw it to the other end of the area. It wasn't like he really had to hide it somewhere, it was already invisible.
Now that his were hidden it was time for him to look for some others.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Sinead Dance First Year | Catch up, sorry >.<
The wandwork for these spells seemed a little bit complicated- especially for revelio, one of the most complex movements they'd been taught so far- but Sinead thought she was up to the challenge. After all, it wasn't that difficult to just move your arm in a particular way. Right?
She didn't think the incantations sounded too complex, either, so she didn't bother practicing them aloud, just mouthing the words to herself a couple of times as she contemplated the eggs. She was pretty sure Disillusionment Charms were meant to be quite advanced... which meant that something about them had to be difficult, and she was pretty sure that was going to be the mental component. Which, to be honest, it was in most spells- but she was prepared to give this one everything she had, because it clearly had to take a good bit of intent to turn something pretty much invisible.
She carefully arranged the basket at the centre of her desk, more as a calming exercise than out of any expectation that it would actually make spellcasting any easier. Taking a few deep breaths, she levelled her wand at the eggs, tracing through the motion in the air a couple of times before collecting her thoughts and casting with a fierce "Disillusiona!"
The results were... well, the spell had essentially worked, which she supposed was a good thing. A blossom of colour spread across the egg, just about the same colour as the desk- but it looked flat, somehow. It definitely wasn't invisible. Skeptically, she picked it up and held it up before her to examine- sure enough, her hand behind the egg appeared as a pinkish smudge, and the rest of the room was no better, looking like she was seeing it through a pair of very strong glasses. Maybe the spell could use some work. Still, she had enough of an effect to be able to try out Revelio, right?
She practiced the wand movement for this one a little more before casting, wary of messing up the complicated shape somehow and turning one of her classmates orange, or some such disaster (she had seen that happen, once, though luckily it wasn't a frequent occurrence).
Ultimately, though, she would never know whether or not she had the movement down until she tried it out, so she did just that: concentrating intently on the egg's previous appearance, she cast her spell, biting her lip as she waited for the results to appear. And they did, albeit slowly- the egg seemed keener to remember what it really looked like than it had been to disguise itself as its background. After a few moments, the egg looked just as it had before her spell. So much for Revelio- although she suspected she might not have so much luck if the disillusionment had been stronger to begin with. But it made for a starting point, if nothing else.

5 points to Slytherin! She'd earned FIVE POINTS and Ru and Abey were here to see it, too! The third year positively beamed and a surge of pride filled her up at the thought of doing her family proud. It meant the world to her, that did.
Practice was important because it meant not looking dumb during the main activity and the junebug was taking it very seriously. So seriously that she'd even tied back her hair so that it wouldn't get in the way. She had lots of beautiful brown hair, okay? Once that was taken care of, she was ready to practice the incantations and wand movements. "Disillusiona." Sounded like a good name for a pop singer or something, she thought. "Disillusiona, disillusiona, disillusiona." Flicking her wand wouldn't be an issue, so she didn't bother practicing that bit, and she was an expert at twirling ALL things, so she practiced that movement just for fun. Would anyone let her try this spell on them? She'd maybe ask Abey later. "Revelio, revelio, revelio." And an eye-shaped wand movement. This one she practiced several times, trying to feel completely comfortable with it before putting it into practice for real with the eggs. She imagined herself drawing with one of her sketch pencils, and that helped. It was the only other tool she felt as in tune with.
Now to test on the eggs in her basket...

Snow Miser | Munchy | Molly Hooper | T | Hey, you | Phantom | Mrs. Chris Evans | Brat Pack | Tristalen They were going to have an Easter egg hunt? That was super fun! Especially a disillusioned one! Hello Auror tracking skills! Leon eagerly waved his wand over his three eggs and said "Disillusiona!""
The eggs disappeared and the seventh year picked up his basket full of the invisible eggs and headed out to the newly created park like thing Magic was awesome! It really was.
Leon felt down in his basket, picked up the first egg and placed it in a small nest of grass, the egg flattened the grass slightly and so the dark haired boy fluffed up the grass a bit in order to make it like nothing was there!
He nodded as it looked normal now and headed to his next hiding spot, this time he placed the spelled egg in the crook of a tree branch, carefully making sure that it wouldn't fall down when he moved away. Once he was satisfied that it looked normal, he took his third and final eggs and stared to walk around to see where the best place would be for it!
And he found a patch of flowers that were perfect! He laid the egg in the middle of them and and after making sure the flowers were normal, smiled happily!
There! Now that his eggs were hidden, it was time to go find some! |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Bramble "Bram" Wyatt Lennox Graduated | Mini Activity Catch up and Main Activity Post 1 ThunderPUFF | Whoodley | MRD&LKD | Graphics Queen | Tristalen | Mrs. A | Hunny Bun Juno closed her eyes, and since they were going to be practicing this charm on an object she practiced the flick movement. She did it so many times, you would think her wrist was going to pop off. Then she abruptly stopped, put her wand down, and began whispering the spell to herself, "Disillusiona. Disillusiona. Disillusiona. Disillusiona. Disillusiona," while also doing the wand movement without her wand in her hand. This really helped her build up the muscle memory so that she would remember it easier.
When she decided she was ready, she opened her eyes and picked up her wand. With a quick flick, she said, "Disillusiona!" And her eggs slowly disappeared. A huge grin spread across her face. She was also one of the lucky ones that didn't get a beeping egg but got a rose scented one. So she knew exactly where the egg was!
Now to practice the revealing charm! Juno again closed her eyes and with her wand created the eye shape, going from the inner corner to the outer corner and back around in a clockwise motion, over and over again. She abruptly stopped again, placing her wand on the table, and began whispering, "Revelio. Revelio. Revelio. Revelio. Revelio," also while doing the wand movement with her hand.
When she was ready, she opened her eyes and grabbed her wand. She sniffed around for the rose scent, and when she found it she did a perfect wand movement saying, "Revelio!" Her egg slowly reappeared!
As soon as she was finished practicing the Professor told them their next task! She grabbed her basket of eggs and cast, "Disillusiona!" With a flick of her wand, the eggs slowly disappeared. One of her 3 was a beeping one unfortunately so that one would be easier to find than the others. Unless she found a good spot that would deflect the sound....hmmmm.
She stood up and got to work hiding her Eggs in the beautiful little field the professor had made for them. It was so realistic she couldn't get over it. She found a stump that had a hole in it's center, which would easily deflect the sound making it harder to find the beeping egg. She the first egg up and held it to her ear making sure it was the beeping one, and it was. She placed it gently in the hole.
The other two smelled like roses, so she found a patch of roses, and hid the remaining two in opposite ends of the roses.
Now it was time to hunt!

He stayed silent and quiet, his ears straining to hear a beep..
He could hear other kids hiding their eggs, the sounds of feet over grass and even someone tripping over a rock and landing on the grass. His eyes opened and he grinned as he saw his sister sister sitting on the grass..
Of course!
Their eyes met and she gave him a thumbs up. So he went back to his searching...
Finally after a few more minutes of listening he thought he heard a faint beep and he found himself moving towards a tree stump! Well that was an ingenious place to hide an egg..the eighteen year old knelt down and put his ear against the tree stump and sure enough..
A beep could be heard!
He reached down into the stump and felt his hands close around an egg! He pulled it out and smiled as he seemed to grasp an invisible thing. He held out his wand and said "Revelio!"
And there was an egg! He smiled as he stuck it in his basket and moved to look for more. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Natasha Shenoy Slytherin Fourth Year Hogwarts RPG Name: Andrea Bowen Gryffindor Fifth Year | Post 1 SUMMER FOREVER An Easter egg hunt! Quite interesting. Hmm.
Etta stood up and carefully cast a disillusiona first over the eggs, wanting to get it right the first time itself. Ooooooh, it worked! Great. She carefully picked up the basket and headed over to the park, the beep sounds really annoying her. Ugh. Please stop.
Hoping that no one saw her, she walked over to one of the trees right towards the end and placed an egg carefully on one of the branches, hidden within the leaves, making sure it wouldn't drop. The next egg... UMM. She walked across the park for a bit before she found a nice and secluded patch of grass.. perfect. She bent to place the egg on the ground.. and ended up pouring some mud over to it so that the sound wasn't so audible. And the last egg.. she found a spot close to some rock. Great.
Now that she was done hiding all the eggs, it was time to start finding some.. right? Off she went, slowly walking around the park. WOOOOT.

Zelena looked on in awe as Professor Marchand transformed part of the classroom into a little forest. Zelena flicked her wand over the eggs in her basket as she said, "Disillusiona." She internally groaned as her nostrils were filled with that horrendous potpourri smell. Zelena covered her nose with her handkerchief as she went looking for places to hide her Easter eggs.
She found a reasonably large tree with an abundance of foliage and a little bird's nest. Zelena grabbed one invisible egg from the basket and placed it flat on her hand. Then she cast a Levitation Spell to hide the egg in the nest.
Zelena then spotted a large pile of rocks and hid the second egg there. Finally, she hid the third egg amongst an area full of daffodils.
It was now time to hunt for eggs.

Ignoring students?! Nice job, professor! he silently berated himself.
He smiled as he turned to the Hufflepuff. "Very good, Mr. Ashbury-Hawthorne!" he said. "Using a creature would be a fun way to find a disillusioned object."
Gaston returned to his desk, keeping a watchful eye on his class. So far, so good. It wasn't long before he saw Mr. Ashbury-Hawthorne's hand go up again. He considered the boy's question for a moment before replying, "That's a very good question, Mr. Ashbury-Hawthorne!" He was impressed! "Revelio is equal to the disillusionment charm in terms of power, which is why it can cancel the spell." Did that make sense? Disillusiona....Disillusiona...Disillusiona...Disi llusiona...Disillusiona...Disillusiona
Still practicing the incantation in his head - LOUDLY for the record - Derf turned his attention back to the professor when he spoke...only to find himself blinking in confusion. "Um...thanks-s-s?" the Hufflepuff stammered, blinking a few more times before asking a follow up question. "But...profes-ss-sssssor? I was-s-s as-sking about Dis-sillusio...not Revelio?"
But yay for that little nugget of information about the relationship between the two spells being practiced today! That was useful and made him wonder LOADS about other spells. Disillusiona....Disillusiona...Disillusiona...Disi llusiona...Disillusiona...Disillusiona
He probably should actually practice SAYING the spell right now, yeah?
Hearing the next set of instructions made the first year bounce in his seat because this sounded FUN - ignore the fact that he had not yet properly practiced or performed the charms properly yet but with the right kind of motivation like this there was a better chance of things happening.
"Dis-s-sillussssssiona....Di-----sillu---siona..." Eh, close enough.
Clutching his three eggs, Derf jumped up to his feet and scurried around the new area - was it REAL or was it a DAYDREAM CHARM?! - the Hufflepuff went off to a secluded area and knelt down behind a Derf-sized rock with his wand at the ready. "Dis-s-sssssssillusiona!" he chirped, flourishing his wand over the egg...and seeing nothing. POUT. "Di--------s-s-sillusiona!" Still nothing.
Derf gave it a third...sixth...eighth attempt before growing just a bit impatient. No tears or anything. He just REALLY wanted to go off and find some eggs himself, you know? Soooooo...when life gives you lemons!
Using his bare hands, because that was all he had at the moment and he was a little nervous about testing out Duro, Derf dug a hole in the ground and plopped one of his eggs in it before covering it up.
ONE EGG HIDDEN! Hopefully no one would step on it and break it.
It...and whatever was inside. ANYWAY!
Now to head off to find one for himself!

Zelena was a bit worried that she was going to squash a number of Easter eggs during her hunt for them. She carefully walked through some grass when her ears were bombarded with the sound of loud, continuous beeping. She moved closer to the sound and knelt down, running her hand across some grass.
She moved her wand in an eye shape and said, "Revelio." Within seconds an egg had appeared which Zelena popped into her basket. She got up and continued to looking.

Oh, was everyone trying out the spells? Henry must not have been paying enough attention (which was not at all unusual) because he hadn't gotten quite that far with the practice. But it became increasingly apparent with all the beeping going on around him. That was kind of annoying. There were faint smells too, but they weren't quite as noticeable.
Maaaaybe he should have practiced on the eggs first before asking Charlotte if he could try practicing the wand movement on her. Because now he just wanted to see if he could disillusion her and not just practice. How cool would it be to make a person virtually invisible. In fact, it gave him an idea.
Stepping closer to her, he moved his wand around her in an exaggerated twirl. "Disillusiona!" ......was it more difficult to make a person disappear than an object?

| Puff by day, snake by night | Mj's bestie | Always UP to Something... Easter was the only word she heard when she came back out of her own thoughts. She looked up and realized the class was moving on and getting up. Crickey what had she missed and what was she needing to do? Nat scrambled to look at the board and get herself caught up. Getting to her feet she took her eggs to hide. Thinking about the spell in her head she figured it wouldn't be to hard to do. There were first years in the class so how hard could it really be? ""Disillusiona" she practiced once before setting an egg down to hide it. Doing the movement around the egg she said the spell again. "Disillusiona" When the egg vanished she smiled. This was actually kind of fun. She wondered where she should hide the next egg.
hmmm
Moving to the other side of the room she looked into a corner, maybe this place could work. Setting it down she did the wand movement and spell again. "Disillusiona"
Bye bye egg.

| main activity - post 1 YesJess! | Captain Goggles | Mama Badger | Eva's Soul Sister | An OG™ | It's all in the Numbers Hearing all the beeping around her was distracting and it was then that Skylar realized that during her practicing, her egg hadn't done anything spectacular. Which really in plain terms meant she hadn't fully disillusioned her egg, which made the revealing aspect easier. She probably should practice again, but then the Professor called to their attention that they would be having an easter egg hunt. That was plainly obvious, the moment he said they'd be working on disillusionment charms though, so no surprises there.
Just, wouldn't they be able to HEAR their eggs if they were disillusioned? Unless they could silence the charms too?
Before she would head out into the field to hide her three eggs - and potentially find some too, unless others found them all first - Skylar was a bit concerned over that. Maybe she would get one of the ones that was scented instead of made noises.
Unless the new area hid the noises? "Disillusiona," she muttered to herself as she made her way out to the new area, her light eyes searching for a good hiding spot. Finding some shrubbery, the third year set one down and flicked her wand at it, "Disillusiona!" she cast, watching in wonder and hope that at least one egg would be concealed.
Except just like during her practice, it was only half camouflaged and the other half was the initial color of it. Fortunately the camouflaged part was up top, so the third year knelt down and used her hands to bury the bottom half with some mulch. There, that would work.
Now to step away before anyone could see where she was hiding one and hide some more...

Only after she'd successfully hidden the eggs in her basket FOUR times did the third year even bother getting up from her work space. She was impressed with Professor Marchand's spell work and the scenery earned a smile. It was perfect, did he know? It left Junia feeling inspired to hide her eggs and she picked up the basket and ventured off towards the trees, mindful of her classmates. She didn't want them seeing where she stored them, and she wanted to be challenged when trying to find theirs.
The first egg found a home in a rather large knot on one of the old trees and the Slytherin set it down carefully, looking around to ensure she had some privacy to work. Wand at the ready, she gave a flick in the egg's direction and uttered a, "Disillusiona." The egg seemed to flicker in and out of view for a moment before returning to its original form. "You're meant to be hidden," She said quietly, disappointed. No matter, she'd try again. She was determined, after all. "Disillusiona!" The added force behind her words seemed to give her spell the added oomph because even as she waited and waited for the egg to reappear, it didn't. It was securely hidden from view, which meant she could move on to the next spot.

| Main Activity - Hiding eggs Baguette | there is no D in my name | TRAITORclaw | Queenie of Narnia Easter egg hunt! And it was in such a pretty field too. Rula was definitely on board with this.
Though the beeping that one of her eggs gave off posed a bit of a problem. It seemed like an obvious giveaway, didn't it? Did any of her others do that? She disillusioned the other two - and yeah, one of them also beeped, but the other one just gave off a lavender-ish smell. So at least that one might be a little easier to hide.
She cast a quick Revelio on the two beeping ones, figuring it would probably be best to wait until she had an actual hiding place before disillusioning them. Otherwise everyone would be able to hear wherever she was going, and that'd give away their locations a lot faster.
So the best place for the noisy ones...maybe in the trees? Some people might assume it was just a bird?
Probably not, but it seemed like the best idea to her.
The sixth year walked quickly over to a small group of trees, disillusioned one egg, and placed it on the edge where the branch grew out of the trunk. The beeping was going off, but at least the leaves and branches muffled it a little bit?
She then did the same with the other egg, placing it in a hole in the trunk of another tree in another group.
And now for the flowery one... Maybe just in that patch of wildflowers over there? Seemed good enough. She kinda wanted to get started on actually finding some too. So she disillusioned her third egg and placed it carefully in the middle of the flowers, trying to avoid bending or moving any of them as much as possible.
There! All her eggs were hidden. Now let the search begin!

Brent decided to do one more quick practice of the spells before moving on. "Disillusiona!" he called out. Then separately, he did a flick of his wand and a circle. He was pretty sure he could accomplish the basic wand movement, but he still thought repetition would help him remember it when it came time to do everything at once. "Revelio!" he said, and then separately he made that odd little eye shape with his wand.
Now. Time to hide some eggs!
Duuuuude. Where were this many people going hide three eggs each? Just as he wondered that, the professor pulled some pretty cool magic and revealed a wide open field. Alright, cool. This would work. Basket in hand, he ventured out into the fields.
There was a colorful flower in the middle of the field, so Brent headed over to the flower and very discretely hid the egg amongst it. Backing up, he raised his wand to the egg. "Disillusiona!" he said. He flicked his wand and made a circle around the egg. Super cool. That was one egg, camouflaged and ready to be found.

So Charlotte had heard the instructions but she was fully distracted by the current happenings. SHE WAS ABOUT TO BE DISILLUSIONED. And she'd be able to do a way better job at hiding her eggs if people couldn't see her to see where she was hiding them too right?
.... would she beep or smell like flowers though? She kind of did smell like flowers already actually. She had a new appleblossom moisturizer that she was trying out.
Char closed her eyes, waiting for the sensation that was supposed to happen. But she didn't feel anything, so it probably hadn't worked right? She opened her eyes again and looked up at Henry then asked with complete seriousness: "Can you see me?"

Now it was time for Olly to find some eggs. Except...he didn't really know how to do that. They were all invisible. He stood beneath his tree for just a moment before he had an idea. Olly dropped to the ground and began to roll. He felt around with his hands as he did, but ended up not even needing to do that. He rolled right on top of something and when he checked to see what it was he couldn't see anything. Aha! "Revelio." Olly made the eye shape with his wand right over where the lump had been. And, sure enough, an egg appeared in the spot that had previously appeared to be empty. He found one!
