Viewing of the duels and cheering on is, of course, more than welcome in the Tournament Stands.
Good luck and happy dueling! OOC: The first duels have started! Go ahead and post in your thread to your heart's content but please make sure to adhere to the Dueling Club rules, the DADA rules as well as the SS Site rules.
If, for some reason, you can't take part in your duel or don't think you'll be able to post, please let me know as soon as possible and we can sort something out.

How do you think the planets in our solar system were created? Take a crack at your own take on our solar system. Get your creative juices running and show space who's the boss!
Task:
Choose one of the 7 planets in our solar system and create your very own story of them as if they were a being creating their planet. You may choose them to be human, alien, animal etc. Please make sure you do your research on the planet you choose. Be creative and come up with whatever scenario you want, no matter how crazy it might be!
Rules:
> You are not allowed to use Earth or Pluto (it is not a planet)
> Minimum of one paragraph
> Maximum of ten paragraphs
> Include two facts about the planet in your story, you may use this website and this website for your two facts.
> Create a title for your story
> Send me a PM of your finished story. Title your PM as "Astro Extra Credit: (title of your story)"
> Up to 25 house points will be awarded
BE CREATIVE, THIS SHOULD BE A FUN PROJECT!

Note: We are going on a field trip to my and my partner's vineyard in Tuscany. Please wear plain muggle clothes that don't mean a whole lot to you, and also bring a bagged/packed lunch, because after the activities I have planned are finished, we will be eating on the veranda. The Tuscany sun will welcome us and we will love it after the harsh cold of winter (still lingering, too). Arrive promptly on time because we will be leaving via portkey at EXACTLY 10:15. Can't wait! See you all then!
All students are welcome to attend Herbology class, but please make sure to read all of our Rules and Expectations here! |
Since the the sudden disappearance of Rooney Bronwyn, Carlton Lewis, and Henry Whittebrook (may Merlin bring them back safely) the following notice has been scrawled on a large piece of parchment and is read by the headmistress daily:

All students are forbidden from using the sixth floor corridor leading to the East Tower.
All students will be escorted to each lesson by a professor or prefect.
All students are not allowed to use the restroom unaccompanied by a professor or prefect.
All student activities, trainings, and matches held in the evening are postponed.
All students will return to their House common rooms by six o'clock in the evening following supper.
All students will remain in their dormitories after this time until breakfast the following day.
All students are expected to follow these new rules until further notice.
