| Puff by day, snake by night | Mj's bestie | Always UP to Something... She had trained with Hirsch, she had trained with Hirsch. He told her she could do this. He said shew as ready. WHY DID SHE BELIEVE HIM!! Natalia stood trying to keep her nerves down. She took a few deep breaths before even going to the dueling mats. She could do this. She had been doing the extra lessons, she had been practicing daily and during any extra time she could find, which wasn't a lot these days with this portal creeping around.
Her wand out she took a small respectful bowl/nod to her appointment. This woman was an auror or training to be one and she was dead most likely. Okay it was time to get started and Nat tried to keep the nerves away. She could do this. She could!! "Flipendo" Her wand was moving and she was ready to defend if needed, moving it again, "Slugulus Eructo". She didn't want to see vomit, but whatever could get her to have an advantage in this she was going to use. Before anything could come at her she sent the jelly brain jinx as well.

Hirsch was adorable, truly, in the not at all endearing, guy worried too much, what was the worst a trained Auror with 7 years of intense training could do sort of way. It wasn't like she harboured any thoughts of killing whoever she was up again. Not at all. That was reserved for the bad guys out there in the world. It was like she'd told that Nicky girl the last time she was here; this was for a bit of fun on her part and some educating on the part of whoever she was faced with.
Hirsch had nothing to worry about. This kid would be fine. Being in here reminded her she would need to check on her sister before she left. Something for later. Dueling now.
Lex watched the way the girl moved, noting the tension in several parts of her body. Nerves? Excitement? Overthinking? All three most likely. Whatever the case, she was getting the ball rolling and Lex would happily obliged. The Auror conjured a shield to absorbed the spells she'd just cast, changing the nature of the shield at the very last minute to have the last bounce back to its sender. In the same breath she sent a langlock at the girl--Merlin she remembered casting that on Kevin once. Circe had THAT felt good, regardless of the outcome.
Never being one to stay in one place, the Auror was already on the move, sending a jet of water in the girls direction with aguamenti....all over really. Water water everywhere, lots of drops to spare.

| Puff by day, snake by night | Mj's bestie | Always UP to Something... She knew she didn't really have a chance to get anything past the girl but she was going to try. "Protego" she shielded her own spell from coming back at her. Was the woman going easy on her? If she was Nat would thank her later. Getting her footing real quick before the next spell came at her Natalia fell to the ground out of the way.
Ouch
That might have hurt a bit, why hadn't she just put a shield up again. Getting to her feet she was back focusing, but focusing a little too much on her calming nerves from going against an adult then actually being ready and all of the sudden she was wet, really wet. She looked around confused for a moment before looking up at her opponent.
HAHAHAHA
Giggles were coming from her lips at the water. This was fun, the woman was not to be scared of she was here to help. Gripping her wand a bit tighter and moved it towards her target, "Tarantallegra" hoping more than walking she moved a bit forward with her wand moving again and she cast the sardine hex on Alexa/

A wet arena was in far better taste for her purposes, and Lex could now move onto the next item on the non-existent list. Hazel eyes watched the girl find her footing, but it wasn't long before they roamed the room once more. How long did she have til the water began to dry? Didn't matter. The Auror cast a freezing charm all over, effectively covering the entire floor in solid ice. Franks-Mundie might have found herself in a bit of a ...stiff fix unless she decided to block that. Wet targets and cold temperature only tended to work well for the opponent.
Not particular in the mood to dance not enough drinks you see, Alexa opted to skid along the ice, already having non-verbally conjured little metal ends that resembled skates. They didn't take her very high off the ground, just made maneuvering the ice a whole lot easier.
Lex gave the next spell a second's thought. Let it hit? Do something about it? Use it against her?
Ugh, she was going to regret this. The Auror all but slid right into the path of the sardine hex, shortly feeling its ill effects. It started with a terrible taste rising from the back of her throat and soon enough, out popped the little suckers. Rather than fall into a panic, the former Gryffindor, non-verbal sent an obscuro charm her way then proceeded to animate the slimey little devils--every single one. They weren't just magical refuse anymore, they were live weapons, darting toward the girl at full speed. When she felt she'd released enough, Alexa ended the curse, immediately casting a shield while she reached for the chocolate frog in her pocket.
Ew. Sardines. Ew ew ew. Merlin she hated the taste.

| Puff by day, snake by night | Mj's bestie | Always UP to Something... There was ice on the floor now and Natalia started to slip and slide over it. Did the girl not hear her accent as she spoke. Natalia wasn't good at cold anything. So ice skating was out of the question. On her bum she went pretty hard. OUCH! Pointing at the floor she did Incendio to melt the ice and then a quick finite to end it all together.
Her brown eyes looked up just in time to notice that her spell had hit the Yati and she couldn't help but giggle to herself again. This was a lot more fun than she thought it was going to be. Now back up on her feet she held her wand and waited for the next spell to come at her. "Protego" was quickly done before any blindfold could come toward her and Nat moved as the animated snails were being darted. One grazed her arm, but at least she was out of the way for the majority.
Moving quickly into position again she sent Flipendo Tria toward the woman and then moved her wand to send Auribus Aquta at her.

The shield she had cast just before beginning her chocolate frog was set to reflect the damage. She liked that sort of shield best, finding it kept the opponent busy while she added extra work to their load.
In fact, it didn't disappoint her that the sardines were dodged as they were simply a lesson in not casting anything you wouldn't want thrown back at you. Those elf like ears she was trying to throw at her?...No thanks. Lex didn't much fancy being thrown off her feet either. What DID disappoint her however, was the girls like of intuition and tactical thinking. The Auror had cast a shield charm while the girl busily dodged sardines, yet she chose to send direct attacks at her anyway. Did she think the shield would break? Didn't she figure an Auror knew how to defend against much stronger artillery out in the field? It was a wasted effort at most and it left Alexa shaking her head as she watched the magic bounce back.
Disillusioning would have been better advised. Creating cover. Becoming elusive and forcing her into the next move first. All much better ideas than aiming at a shield that was already in place.
Quite suddenly, it all seemed to vanish--the shield and the Auror. With a non-verbal featherlight charm in place to cushion her steps, Lex moved about, casting a daydream charm around their little dueling area. The daydream looked much like reality. In fact, the only thing off about the daydream was that four Alexa's now stood at equal distances surrounding the Seventh Year. The arena looked the same, giving away no signs of replication or tampering but each Alexa looked just like the other.
With full command of the daydream, Lex remained disilluioned and a small ways off where she could better observe and wait for the right opening. Her selves took aim, casting what appeared to be bombarda and confringo at separate intervals and with varying degrees of intensity in rapid succession. There was a 5th pretend Alexa, she was as disillusioned as her original and also crept about the room waiting.
It was all about timing. Your move kid.

| Puff by day, snake by night | Mj's bestie | Always UP to Something... She was still a teenager and she had fallen on the ice so Natalia didn't notice the shield go up. Her quick thinking and trying to stick with the things she learned it wasn't until her third spell did she realize her mistake, but it was still fun and it was for practice so no big deal. That was until the Yati vanished. Nat looked around and got annoyed quickly. How fair was this for an adult to just vanish during a duel. Was that even allowed?
When she reappeared but four of them Nat instantly knew what was going on. She learned the daydream spell so she was sure that was going on. It didn't matter either way she held up her wand and did the anti jix shield to help hold off anything that might come. Right after she did Protego Totalum to cover herself from other spells that might come at her as she thought about how to rid the room of the daydram charm or take out all the Yati's.
Thinking about her mother's words when it came to MLE she tried to push that woman's negativity out of her head. She always said MLE were dirty, but she had been having fun and didn't want to think the girl played dirty, especially to a teenager.
Pointing just in the general direction of the Yati she yelled Finite to rid the room of the daydream charm and then sent the reveal charm over. Thanks for the lessons Hirsch they were coming in handy today. "Lacarnum Inflamari" she could get more intesnse as well. She had a few strong spells up her sleeve.

Any Auror worth their salt knew you didn't just stand around waiting for your opponent to make the next move. Anticipating was a huge part of staying alive and while it was...doubtful at best that this girl could put her at any real risk, it was still the mentality she would take into the duel. As a result, Alexa found herself halfway across the room by the time the girl was done casting a million shield charms and removing the daydream one. In her place, she'd left a duplicate--this one real as a result of a wandless, non-verbal "Gemino".
It had been disillusioned like she was, but the girl's spell saw an end to that, revealing yet another Alexa Cambridge while this one moved in closer.
The movements were slow, calculated. Before she could fully commit to this plan, she had to gauge her reactions and the likely outcomes thereof. It did no one any good to simply jump in casting spells. For now, she still held the element of surprise and the second her was the bait.
It moved forward with purpose, taking aim as it did with intent clear in it's eyes. Once again, an illusion charm was cast, giving the impression the dummy had actually cast at her and still the Auror moved closer from the rear, much closer than the girl could imagine and yet, not close enough to be felt if the girl were to suddenly reach out.
