The Three Broomsticks is the most well-known pub in the small village, which is why it is often rather crowded with students and adults alike. The outside of the building is a good preview of what the inside may look like with the same steep roof as the surrounding buildings, yet taller, with a sign on it's facade featuring the legendary three boomsticks, all fixed around a lantern to light the patrons' way. It certainly looks better kept than the Hog's Head down the street.
Once you enter the pub, the warmth of the large stone fireplace great you as you place hats and coats by the door. Directly in front of you there are tables and booths lining the majority of the small hall with oil lamps placed on each one. On winter days it is usually hard to find a place beside the large fire grate; however, if you're early enough, you can bet your galleons that you'll be nice and toasty by the fire. To the left is the bar where the bartender waits to take your order.

He, Oliver Tate Thomas-Borzekowski, was going on a date. A real live actual date. The very second one he had ever been on in fact. And he was very excited for it. The first date had gone well, in his opinion at least. He was sure it must have since they were going on a second one. That was a good sign, yes? But he still wanted to make sure everything was perfect, and this time he'd enlisted his sister to help. Well she'd insisted on helping, but he was fine with it. And he'd worn some more of the cologne he'd gotten from Rian-Kate. Overall he felt ready.
No they had not walked together from Hogwarts. That might have been logical but it would have felt less date-like than meeting at the Three Broomsticks for lunch. Olly was never early for anything yet there he was, and he'd even beaten Remy. So he lingered in the doorway, waiting until Remy - his date - arrived so they could go get a table together.

He would be lying if he was still upset that his first date had been set up by one of his best friends or that he hadn’t actually known who the date was with until Olly had come into the Room of Requirement. Infact, Remy had even thanked Owen for doing something that he hadn’t thought of doing… and he’d made him a batch of oat cookies for thinking of supplying the citrus cupcakes that they had enjoyed while having their picnic. Heck, Rian had even gotten a batch of cookies for making them both cologne… Cologne which Olly would hopefully smell for the first time today… Smell and like, ideally.
Now however, still with the happiness and adrenaline of spending time with his new baby twin siblings filling his heart and without the worry of too much homework, Remy was casually walking towards the Three Broomsticks. With a small grin on his face because he was away to meet Olly for a second date. A date that he had organised by himself. A date that he was very much looking forward too… and had been since he had asked last week when they had gotten back to school after Christmas.
Turning the last corner, his lips twitched up in a large smile as he saw Olly - his date, incase you hadn’t heard - standing waiting for him. Wrapping his jacket a little tighter around himself he closed the gap between them quickly. ”Hi. Uh, did I keep you waiting?” Whoops. That was a bad start. Quickly, he leant in and ghosted a quick kiss over his lips. He couldn’t NOT, but he didn’t want to get distracted… or, at least not yet. ”Ready to go in? It’ll be warmer, at least.” He told him, hand finding the base of Olly’s back as he opened the pub door for him.

Olly assumed that Remy wouldn't be too far behind, and he was right. He had been waiting for less than five minutes when the other boy showed up. Olly grinned when he spotted him. He shook his head at the question. "Not at all. I've only been here for a few minutes. I tend to be late to things sometimes and I wanted to make sure I wasn't." That was enough talking. He was just a bit nervous but didn't want to ramble. He shouldn't be nervous.
Olly beamed at the kiss and nodded as they headed into the building. Yes, definitely much warmer. "Do you want to find a table first or just order?" He glanced around and noticed there weren't too many people yet so getting a table shouldn't be too hard, but if it was prime lunch time then it might get difficult quickly. He turned a bit to glance at Remy to see what he thought, and caught a whiff of his cologne as he did so. He wouldn't be surprised if that was also a Rian-Kate specialty. She was good.

Nuri carried two butterbeers over to a table at the back of the broomsticks and set them down. He was early as always and decided people watching was as good a pastime as any as he waited for his cousin. Two boys in particular piqued his interest and he observed them openly, eyebrows raised. It was always interesting to see his classmates in a setting other than the castle. Many, he found, were different people entirely when not confined to the walls there. It was fascinating stuff.

At the slightly rambled reply, Remy couldn’t help it as the grin changed to softer, more amused smile. ”You wanted to be on time for me, huh?” He teased softly, nudging the Slytherin’s hip with his own. He couldn’t stop smiling… which could be a problem … his cheeks would get sore. Darn Oliver Tate Thomas-Borzekowski and his adorable grin… and his cologne. Definitely his cologne. He needed to tell Rian-Kate off for that.. Or maybe thank her? Again. Hmm.
Distracted.
Right.
Looking back towards the door, he thought about the other students he had seen walking this way and looked around the pub at the empty tables. ”Let’s put our jackets down to reserve a table.” He said, motioning for the other boy to pick the table that he wanted to sit at. As long as he had a chair (... or a lap … ? ) to sit on he would be fine.
Looking over at the bar as they moved to the table, he slipped off his jacket and put it over the back of his chair. ”What would you like to drink, Olly?” You know, to start with while they looked at the menu.

"Of course," Olly said with a smile. His cheeks were just a bit pink, but that could be written off as the sudden change into the warmer building. "I wouldn't want to be late to a date."A date. Ahem okay. They were moving now to sit down at a table. Olly shrugged off his jacket and set it on the other empty chair. Maybe he should have chosen a booth where they could sit next to each other. But the table was probably the best anyway. It was smaller and private. And it was a nice distance from the fire so it was still pretty warm.
To be honest Olly hadn't thought about food. Yes of course he'd known they were planning on getting lunch, but the actual food was the least of his concern. Except now he had to turn and actually look at the menu. "Uh, some hot cocoa?" It looked like the best thing on the menu, and it was the perfect weather for it. He also had to look at the menu to decide what he actually wanted to eat. He lingered near the bar, close enough to Remy so their arms were touching, and examined the menu. "Soup sounds good. And warm."
Viktor has waiting as was the usual with whom he was meeting. By now he was use to it. He has gotten himself a nice drink and a table as far away from students as he possible could. Most ignored him and that was a plus. The Ancient Runes Professor sipped on his drink and watched the crowd of people.
Its much different coming here as a Professor compared to a student.
Student was more fun.
Though that didn't mean he couldn't have some fun of his own.

It looked like Rula had arrived at the Three Broomsticks earlier than she'd expected, but that was okay. She didn't mind waiting, especially since it was nice and warm in here. If she had to wait outside, she probably wouldn't have tried to get here as quickly, even if she could use warming charms. There would still be wind and possibly snow blowing in her face, and that got annoying after awhile.
She ordered a small pumpkin juice and then slipped into an empty seat at a table to wait for Dora.

Dora hadn't meant to run late, but skulking around in the back alley with Dante Barrington had taken a while longer than expected. That being said, she came in with a pep in her step and a huge smile to boot! Seeing her dad before that had been super happy making also. WHAT A WIN OF A DAY!
Grabbing a butterbeer she slipped into the seat across from Rula. "HEY! Sorry I'm late. Got held up. OMG how are you? What's new? Wanna hug? " Wiggling Dora was happening! Rula needed a hug, didn't she? YES SHE DID!

A date to Hogsmeade with the boyfriend is a must, okay? Every time when Hogsmeade weekend came, Phillip always asked her out for spending a day together at this wizarding village. Today, Ava picked Three Broomsticks as their place. Two glasses of butterbeer, nice food, and quality time with her boyfriend on a cold winter day? This day would be PERFECT!
With a huge smile plastered on her face, the lioness girl headed to The Three Broomsticks while holding his hand. "I know that you love being at Puddifoot's, but I have a sudden craving for butterbeer at this place." She said to him. Puddifoot's was good for a date, to be honest. But they only served tea and finger food and it's not enough to fulfill her hungry tummy. Merlin, she just hoped that this place wouldn't be so full of people and they would get a seat.
As she entered the pub, Ava took a relieved sigh because it was just as her expected; not really crowded and she just saw a good spot for both of them. "How about if we sit there?" She asked him as she pointed to a seat on the corner. Oh look, Olly was there too with... Remy, right? Ava gave a small wave to them. Were they on a date too?

Seeing as it was hardly her fault that he insisted on being punctual when it came to social occassions, Daphne took EXTRA time walking down Hogsmeade main street with her Impervius'd boots until she reached the Three Broomsticks. How quiant. She hadn't been here since she was a student and had half expected Viktor to ask her to meet him somewhere humiliating like Puddifoot's. Still, she would have preferred the Hog's Head.
Stepping inside and removing her coat, which she draped over her arm, the cursebreaker moved effortlessly through the crowd with cat-like precision to where she was sure he was seated. Sure enough.
"Hey there, twinkletoes," she greeted with a sideways smirk, resting a hand on her hip and making sure the light caught a certain accessory - which she had removed said curse from prior to touching it in anyway. Seemed a waste otherwise, knowing the man's taste. "This seat taken?" Because it was now as she pulled herself into it.

After buying practically all the candy in Honeydukes, Gaston's next stop was in The Three Broomsticks for a warm drink. He weaved through the crowd, a mug of hot cocoa in one hand and his wand in the other, levitating a tall stack of boxes in front of him. Bright blue eyes peered over the top of the boxes, scanning the room for a vacant table. He finally saw one in a dark corner toward the back of the pub and sighed wistfully. Forever alone, he thought. Story of my life...
He turned toward the empty table and suddenly CRASH! He was able to reposition his candy boxes in time to keep them from going flying, but his cocoa sloshed all over his coat. "Merlin's beard!" the Frenchman exclaimed, peering around the floating tower of candy boxes to see who - or what - he'd just run into. It turned out to be a student. Good going, Gaston, he inwadly berated himself. Honsetly, you're as dangerous as Peeves and Miffy combined!
"Oh, my - I am so sorry, Mr. Chev!" Gaston quickly apologized, nervously dabbing at the stain on his coat. As he looked back at the boy, he could see in his eyes that something was wrong... something that he doubted was caused by having a clumsy professor slam into him. "Are you alright?" he asked, meaning the question in more ways than one.

The fifth year let out a small sigh, to be fair he hadn’t been paying much attention either, so the two of them crossing paths was partially his fault as well, “Oh… It’s fine Professor. I wasn’t paying attention either, so it’s just as much my fault.” He nodded slightly and glanced back down. Awkwardly quiet as per usual. And now his usual introverted self was just having ten times more troublesome to try to attempt any type of conversation.
Was he alright? Well, that was a loaded question. One he wasn’t sure how to answer, “I… I honestly don’t know anymore…” He sighed slightly and grabbed a few napkins, offering them to the professor to try to help with the stain on his coat. He was fairly certain he knew what was coming next so he figured he might as well just say what was making him so upset, “I… My mother passed away a few weeks ago… All my father’s said about it was she went missing.”
And that was it… That was all he really knew, aside from his father also saying that they would not be holding a funeral, but he didn’t feel the need to share that information as well.
Was it just him or was it a really long time between this Hogsmeade weekend and the last? Levi had been dying to get out of the castle, even though they had just gotten back from holiday break. And it was of course the coldest day of the year, or so it felt to the second year Ravenclaw.
Still, it was freedom, and he headed straight for the Three Broomsticks first. They probably wouldn't let him have any firewhisky, so it would need to be hot cocoa to warm up. Yeah, and something to eat. He was hungry and had a couple galleons to spend. Where were his friends? He needed to sit with someone cool.

"HEY LEVI!" she yelled, loudly, panting as she came to a stop next to him once inside the Three Broomsticks, hooking arms with him. "I saw you--down the street---I WANNA DRINK BUTTERBEER WITH YOU," she squeaked.

Remy grinned as the boy said he wouldn’t want to be late for a date. That was good to know, and he filed that tid-bit away for future - future? - knowledge and thought. He couldn’t help the smile off of his face as the Slytherin placed his own jacket around his chair and walked with him up to the bar. Oh yeah, this day was going to be great; he could feel it. Looking around the room, he saw Ava and Phillip and gave them both a smile, waving his hand at them before turning his attention back to Olly. He was the most important person in the room after all; wasn’t that the rule of being on a date?
Looking up from the menu he nodded. ”Cocoa does sound amazing right now… Although, I do love a good cuppa tea too.” Hmmm. Decisions decisions, he thought as he turned to look over the menu. ”A toastie sounds good… or maybe a baked potato with something hot on it….” Hmm…
The menu had too many options. This was always the problem. He didn’t know what to eat - ‘cause he was always so hungry. ”Perhaps the soup and toastie or sandwich combo… Cheese and ham toastie sounds great..” He looked back at Olly with a smile. ”Do you want a sandwich with your soup?”

But then again, since when was Ava like most girls? "The butterbeer here really is great. A must considering what the weather is like."
He entered the pub after her and followed her towards the corner. "Yeah, it's great! Not a bad location, mind you." It wasn't in the centre of the madness but close enough for them to see anything that would happen. Pity the store didn't sell popcorn for such an occa-

Levi nearly jumped out of his skin at the loud yelling of his name and he turned abruptly to see who it was. Oh, Astrea. He gave her a smug little grin. She qualified as both a friend and as cool (she was all into Greek gods, y'know), so she would totally do as someone to sit with.
"Well, that's cool," he said, as their arms were linked and the ringing of his ears stopped. "I was just thinking we should find a seat and get some butterbeer together. Think they'll serve it warm?" He needed something for his chilled bones on the freezingest day of the year. "Where do you want to sit?" Thet should probably try to find prime seating before it got too busy and all the good tables got taken.

Nah Puddifoot would be weird especially with her and all the other students there. Here is much better since at least he can get a good drink. Unless she wanted to skip the talking. No complaints from him. Probably spent all her time getting dressed from the looks of it. Viktor raised an eyebrow as he saw the present he gave her. Shame. The curse would have been fun to see.
"Let me guess, You bore another man to death with your horrible stories?"
He made a gesture to the chair even though he knew for a fact she was just going to sit anyway.

"Now tell me what would make you mad enough to cast a Ear-shrivelling and Babbling Curse on someone?"

Olly was turning toward Remy to see what he was thinking about food, when he caught sight of some others. There was Ava and Phillip. Hi Ava and Phillip. They were probably on a date too. Ava was waving and then Phillip was making faces at him. Olly smiled and waved back before focusing his attention on Remy.
He just nodded as Remy listed a few options. They all did sound pretty good. He especially liked the hot part. He definitely needed to eat something warm. "Uhhh...I think just some garlic bread with the soup. Chicken noodle." Of course. That was his favorite kind. "Should we order then?" And they could go sit down?

"Let me guess, You bore another man to death with your horrible stories?"

It was a good thing Daphne had not applied certain skills already or else his question that came later would have been answered. And then some. Good for him perhaps, not so much for the trigger happy witch seated across from him so much. And really, don't flatter yourself Viktor. She spent no more time getting ready than she did any other day. Perhaps even less so than usual since she did not need to prepare for an assignment.
She gave their surroundings a cursory look around, hoping a student of his would overhear her use of twinkletoes and use it against him. She had heard all about the other nicknames, to adding to the collection would make his scowl taste all the more sweet.
"I don't share stories," she replied curtly, crossing one le g over the other and resting her boot on her knee. She wasn't some bloody girl scout for Merlin's sake. His next inquiry raised one of her well sculpted brows and clench her strong jaw before slowly tilting her head to the side and running her tongue in aggravation over the bottom of her upper teeth. "What did you do to this chair?"
Because he ought to know better than anyone what it took, especially in relation to him. He simply needed to breathe at her funny and it was wand
out.

Astrea nodded. "Oh, absolutely. It is way too cold NOT to," she said with a shrug. "I can't wait. It's so coooolldddd!" she shivered dramatically so he could totally SEE IT!
She was trying to find a good spot for them, but it got to be their turn at the front counter, and Astrea stepped up to order her drink, a HOT butter beer, please! And then let Levi order HIS drink. "Come on, I see a table opening up!" she gestured. THEY NEEDED TO GET THEIR DRINKS SIT DOWN AND CATCH UP AND HANG OUT LIKE NOW. She was bouncing.
BOUNCING.
"I stopped at Honeydukes already" Heh. Clearly.

He caught that look Phillip. In fact, the Hufflepuff found that he didn't mind... In fact liked that Olly's friends were as accepting as his own, and that they wanted to know how their date had gone. Ahem. Second date. Heh. Hopefully, if he had any say in it, which he did, it would go well. Hopefully, as well as she first one.
Grinning at the Slytherin, Remy nodded a little. "Okay, so hot cocoa, chicken noodle soup and garlic bread." Smiling, he motioned back to their table. "Do you want to go sit down and make sure no one takes our table?" It was getting busier after all... "I'll place our order and then I'll be over...?" Obviously. Like he was going to go anywhere else today? He had a date. Hehe. Grinning, he waited for Olly's opinion while trying to catch someone's attention to place their order.
