Is there a practice session going on? Are you here to support a friend flying or possibly catch an eye on a cute flyer out there? Or maybe you just came to relax with friends and enjoy the scenery. Whatever the reason any spot will guarantee you the best view as sitting in the back will raise the seats higher automatically. However, you may not be protected from all the objects and flyers that may head your way. Chat amongst your seating neighbours, pick up after yourself, and don't cast any jinxes at those who are playing out on the pitch. The Pitch will know. Enjoy the view while you're here.
Jasper was enjoying being at Hogwarts again, though his legs had carried him far away from the lake. It was originally his plan to sit down there, play a few songs on his guitar. Maybe even try to learn some, he had a few songs stuck in his head that he could probably try with limited success to figure out how to play. As soon as he'd gotten to the lake though, the number of people had made the third year keep walking. Somehow his legs had taken him up into the Quidditch pitch stands.
There wasn't a practice or a game going on, making it surprisingly peaceful.
Pulling his guitar out of its case he looked at it for a moment, his fingers hesitating as he thought.
Eventually they started moving, softly playing one song before they switched to another one definitely not because he lost interest in the first one.

Az usually stayed down by the lake as it was her favorite spot in Hogwarts, well one of them. The fourth floor balcony, the tower patch, the kitchen and the music room were the others. But she had already been all those places, and.. they were all full!
She sighed softly as she moved along the grounds trying to find a quiet place to make some notes on her music and do her homework.
So she headed out to the Quidditch Pitch, she was never here but she figured it would be nice and quiet so why not?
Though she heard a guitar and she bit her lip a bit... almost hesitant to walk forward.. It could be Brady who hated her, or Chris who loved her.. so hoping that she would see her boyfriend she walked forward and then..
Was.. that..
No.. it couldn't be..
But.. it was?
Azura's stuff fell to the floor as she looked at the boy in front of her..

"Jasper?" She whispered out.
He'd heard a thump, as if something fell to the ground, which caused him to look up questioningly, wondering who would even be at the Quidditch stands.
Jasper's eyes fell onto the purple eyed girl that he'd met at the train station during his first year.
Azura.
The girl who had kept him fretting their entire first year about her safety. He hadn't seen her yet, and he wasn't sure how she'd respond if he had tried to find her. After all, he hadn't come to Hogwarts last year.
She seemed shocked to have found him now.
He was equally as shocked that she had found him in this quiet area. What was he meant to say? Hi didn't really seem to cut it. Especially because he hadn't even sent her an owl explaining his absence.
But then what else was there to say?
"Hey Azura," he greeted with a shy smile, quickly setting his guitar down as he moved to pick up her stuff for her and hand it to him. She couldn't be angry at him if he helped, right?

It WAS him.. Standing there before her was her best friend.. The boy she had befriended at the train station, the one whom she still missed to this day..
He was back?
She bit her lip as she tried not to cry.. So many questions were coming to her head, where had he been? Had she made him leave? Did he still want to be her friend? Her thoughts were moving a mile a minute as she started wide-eyed at him before she saw that shy smile at him and heard her name leave his lips.
That was enough for her.
The moment he set his guitar down, the small third year Ravenclaw was leaving her stuff and dashing quickly across the stands, to throw her arms around the boy whom still haunted her thoughts..
"I've missed you so much." She whispered as she hugged him tightly. "Jazz." She wasn't going to cry.. she wasn't going to cry..

Jasper had stumbled backwards when Azura had thrown herself at him, hesitating for a moment before hugging her back. He couldn't help but smile, kind of glad that she wasn't angry at him. Happy that she had also missed him like he had missed her.
He squeezed a little bit, to make sure she knew that he was also glad to see her too. Though she'd probably have known that.
He hoped she knew that at least.
And now, rather than being the same height as he he was also taller, he realised as he hugged her. Though he had barely heard what she had whispered, though the use of the nickname made him grin.
"I missed you too 'Zura" he assured her, feeling the need to let her know that. He pulled back, still grinning at the purple eyed girl in front of him. Half of him didn't believe she was right there, but then again she had hugged him. And he was back at Hogwarts, while she'd never left.
It shouldn't have been that much of a surprise.
"How have you been?" he asked semi-awkwardly, still not sure about what exactly they should talk about. It felt weird. Like he knew her so well, after all she had been his best friend. Merlin's beard she was probably his only friend! But then again they hadn't talked in so long... and so much would've changed.

Azura kept her face buried in Jazz's chest as she felt him squeeze her back. She was trying to keep her composure and not cry all over him. Because wouldn't that be the worlds best welcome back to school.
Being cried on!
She bit her lip as she finally pulled back from the taller boy and she took a deep breath, hopefully the water works were kept at bay for the moment.
Though she felt herself get a bit misty as he said he had missed her too.
"Really? " She was glad to hear that, part of her thought she had done something to make him leave, she hoped that wasn't the case though. Because she had spent the better part of a year racking her brain to find out what she could have done..
Crying and being clingy was all she had come up with.
How had she been? Fwoopers did he have a few months?
"Uhh..I don't even know where to begin.. So let's start with you?" She said rather breathlessly..

Jasper had a little sister, which made him immediately notice the tears in Azura's eyes. Water works was something he was used to, though she seemed determined not to cry right now. He briefly considered pulling her into another hug, but then he figured that might actually make her cry and she probably wouldn't want that right now.
As soon as she asked really, the boys head tilted to the side. He blinked at her for a second, not really believing that she would be able to think that he wouldn't have missed her. "Of course" he assured her, though he hesitated before continuing. You're my best friend." That much was definitely true. Even if he hadn't seen her in a year. Outside his family he was certain she was his only friend. His stomach dropped, a frown crossing his face for a second as his left hand moved to run itself through his hair. The green eyes looked at her guiltily. "Sorry for not sending an owl..."
He definitely needed to apologise for that. Jazz didn't have a clue what must have gone through her head at his disappearance. She deserved that apology.
"Nothing really..." he mused as he thought about his last year. The smile briefly dropped off his face for the reason behind his disappearance, though it quickly returned. "I stayed in Aus, dad homeschooled me for the last year which was kind of cool. Fliss joined in."
She was pretty good, and would definitely be ahead no matter where she decided to attend school.

"I live a boring life," he joked.
The purple eyed girl was trying real hard not to lose it. She was determined not to cry. She could do that later in her dorm, right now she needed to talk to her friend.
But as his head tilted and she heard his next words Azura couldn't stop the tears that started to slowly fill her eyes and then trickle down her face. "Oh Jazz, you dont know how much I've longed to hear that. " She swallowed as she ran a hand through her hair.. "I.. wondered for so long if it was me who made you do away.. " She said with a sniffle as she bit her lip and wiped her eyes a bit. "Next time send an owl okay? " She said as she gently nudged his arm..
"Just so that your overthinking Ravenclaw best friend doesn't think she made you leave, yeah?"
She took a breath and as he explained and she nodded.
"Boring sounds nice. " she said with a smile, she would ease him into what had happened to her the past year.. Her mother, Chris, music schools.. "Well I'm glad you're back.. you've missed so much. " she said with a grin..
"And I'm still waiting for that drawing huh? " she said with a warm smile up at him

Maybe he didn't understand people as much as he thought he did, that was what went through his head as Azura had burst into tears despite his reassurance. Not at all happy with that turn of events he pulled her into a soft hug, giving a small squeeze before letting her go again.
Crying was not how this was meant to be going!
They were meant to be happy that they were back at Hogwarts! That both of them were around!
"I don't think you'd be able to make me leave" he commented, an amused smile playing on his lips. "Unless of course you trip and push me down the stairs, then they might have to send me to St Mungos for a bit," he joked, though he regretted it a moment later. He hoped she understood he wasn't serious.
"I promise," he told her. The thirteen year old almost offered to pinky promise, a habit from being around his sister. But he was older than that. More mature. Pinky promises were unnecessary. "Though I don't think I'll need to stay in Australia again," he added on. Not now that his mother was healthy again.
"And I'm back to stay... but hey, at least I had a summer for once," he laughed at that. It was the main problem with going to school in England when his family lived in Australia. He lived constantly in winter.
And he hated winter.
Particularly in England, the snow was terrible.
The mention of the drawing made him grin. He'd tried to get it ready for the end of year feast for first year but... that hadn't happened. But now, now he'd finished it. And he was incredibly pleased with himself for it. Seeing her again now made him realise that he had in fact managed to draw her quite well, even if she had grown up a bit since he'd finished it.
"I finished," he told her excitedly. "It's in my trunk in the common room though..."
Jasper hoped that the drawing would also make her happy.

Az wasn't happy with the tears falling down her cheeks but what could she do about it? Jazzy was back and she was slightly emotional about the while thing, especially seeing as she had nothing to do with his leaving. It was a weight she had carried on her shoulders for a year now.. one that she was slowly letting go of.
She returned his soft hug and smiled at him as he spoke.
"Good! Cause if you leave again who knows what would happen to me. " A smile turned up the edges of her lips at his joke.. "Well my mother is a healer at St.Mungos.. so if we end up there we might get to meet her. " She said with a soft laugh. "But I've been less clumsy lately.. so that's a plus for you. " She added as she gently poked him in the side.
"Good. " She said with a smile as he promised.. if he left again with out saying anything who knew what would happen to her. "You had to be there?" Azura tilted her head as she spoke,, "Did something happen Jazzy? " She asked curiously.
A smile crossed her face as he spoke about summer. "Well that's good.. it is kinda lame going from winter to winter all the time. " She said with a smile before he spoke again and her eyes went wide.
"Wait.. you finished it? " She smiled up st him. "I can't wait to see if..oh and guess what? I can play guitar now. " She said with a nudge.

While Jasper was certain that he didn't want to leave Hogwarts again, and figured he was unlikely to just drop off of the face of the world, Azura's comment amused him. What would happen to her if he left again? Clearly she seemed to be doing alright. "Well... you seem like you managed alright with me. If you can do it once I think you could do it again," he commented with a smile. Not that he wanted to abandon her.
It was just nice to see that she wasn't as dependent on him as it seemed she was in first year though her being dependent on him was nice.
A chuckle escaped Jasper's lips at the mention of her mother being a healer at St Mungos. He remembered that, and nodded a little bit at the thought. "Maybe you should just push me off the stands and speed up the process, might keep me in England a bit longer" he joked. Then he could spend his summer in hospital in England. That seemed just as unenjoyable as being in a never-ending winter. "I will demand a visit every day," he added on, trying to look as serious as possible, though his lips twitched into a smile.
That seemed a fair trade-off if she sent him there though.
Azura's question caused the smile to drop off of his face for a moment, the Ravenclaw boy immediately dropping his head to look at his shoelaces which had suddenly become very interesting. He was certain they had been white at some point, not that it could be seen now. "Uh..." he hesitated, wondering what exactly to say, a hand moving to scratch his neck. "My mum was pretty crook for a while..." would she even understand that? Did the brits use similar slang? "She's alright now, it wouldn't have taken so long but she's muggle..."
Which meant they relied on muggle medicine.
He grinned at her reaction. "Finished it a couple of weeks after school finished," because he'd had a lot too much time. "You play now?" that made the grin stretch even further across his face, the boy immediately grabbing the guitar that sat next to him and handing it to the purple eyed girl.
"I still don't play piano... Well, one song, but that hardly counts" he admitted.

Az pressed her lips into a line as he spoke and she shook her head. "Looks can be deceiving Jazzy. Last year I was not all right and this year.. well it's going okay so far.. but.." She shrugged.. she didn't want to inundate him with everything right now.. but she didn't know if she could take it if he left her again.
She managed a small smile as he spoke and she shook her head. "Call me selfish, but I'd rather you stay here with me. " She said with a grin as she smiled. "But I will visit you everyday. " She said with a grin as she looked at him. "Only fair right? "
The smile fell from her lips though as his face dropped and she noticed he was staring at his shoes.. she moved a step forwards him and bit her lip a little.. " Jazz.. are you okay? " She asked him as he finally spoke,. Crook? Did that mean sick? "She was sick? Oh Jazzy I'm so sorry. " She whispered softly and she put a hand on his arm..
That made all her memories of her mother come back and she took a breath.. it seemed like last year was the year of something ban happening to mothers.
"I'm so glad she is okay now.. something happened to my mom last year too, " She said softly as she rubbed his arm..
Though a soft smile turned up the corner of her mouth as he handed her his guitar.. "I do.. prepare to be amazed. " She said with a grin as she sat down on one of the stands and positioned her hands as she started to play a along..

Holding me close until our eyes meet, you won't even be alone,
Wait for me to come home." She sang a bit as she played and looked up at him.

"Not had ehh? "
Jasper's eyebrows furrowed as he looked at Azura. She was so serious in that moment that he knew that something bad had happened. Probably something worse than just him not being at school. The concerned looked stayed plastered on his face, the green eyes trying to look directly into her purple ones, hoping the eye contact would be enough of a plea for her to tell him her stories. "What happened? Is everything alright?"
A stab of guilt ran through him at not being there when she needed him. But he was here now. That was all that he could offer her now.
"Well if I'm stuck in a hospital then you should be too," he commented lightly, a smile tugging at his lips. Hospitals were terrible in his opinion... but then from memory she wanted to be a Healer so she probably wouldn't agree with him on that.
A small smile crossed his face as Azura attempted to comfort him, trying to assure her that he was in fact alright. "Yeah... yeah she was sick, she's alright now but it just took a while... muggle medicine," his train of thought was a bit disjointed, added to his existing awkwardness that was a train wreck of an explanation. But Azura would probably understand. Somehow she always did understand. But especially now, he figured, because she said that something had also happened to her mother. "You're mum's also alright, isn't she?"
She had mentioned if he ended up in St Mungos he could meet her mother so he assumed so. But just to be sure it was good to ask.
A grin crossed his features as she played a song that was very familiar to him. Jasper immediately clapping as soon as she finished. He thought she deserved a bigger applause, he'd enjoyed it and found her voice quite beautiful too.
"Incredible," he commented, aiming to fuel her ego a little bit.
His hands immediately reached out to grab the guitar, though for a second he hesitated, not sure what he wanted to play now. His fingers began moving before his brain even caught up.
"Hey, I was doing just fine before I met you
I drink too much and that's an issue but I'm okay
Hey, you tell your friends it was nice to meet them
But I hope I never see them again
I know it breaks your heart
Moved to the city in a broke down car
And four years, no calls
Now you're looking pretty in a hotel bar
And I can't stop
No, I can't stop" he began singing without thinking, but realising he got carried away he flushed red. Immediately he stopped playing before a hand went to run his hand through his hair, grinning sheepishly at her.

"Sorry..."
Azura bit her lip a little as she looked up into Jazz's green eyes and she sighed softly. So much had happened.. but how could she tell him right now? They had only just reconnected.. and did he really want all of her "drama" right now? "Everything is all right now." She said finally as she bit her lip.. She hoped at least..
She and Chris were doing well, Brady still wasn't talking to her but perhaps that was for the best.. and she had her music auditions soon. And Jazzy was back, not to mention Jace as well. He had pulled a disappearing act last year as well, but he was back now too. Last year was a different story though..
"I was stuck in a hospital for a bit last year as well, so I'm with you there. It's part of what made up my mind for me to not a be healer and pursue music instead." She said with a warm grin up at him. She could drop that little bit of information on him at least..
Though a frown crossed her face as he spoke of his mother.. "I'm sorry to hear that she was sick.. and muggle medicine can take forever. But I'm glad she is all right now." She said softly as she looked up at him before she looked away and sighed softly..
"Yeah, she is all right now.. Last year though.. We.. thought she was.. dead." She bit her lip and tugged at her hair for a moment, even the memory of where she was last year at this time made her chest tighten up a bit.. She hadn't had a panic attack for awhile, and she meant to keep it that way. "She wasn't dead.. just kidnapped, but I didn't find that out til the end of last term." That coupled with the fact that none of her family wanted to adopt her.. meant she was a little more clingy to people who actually liked her..
She shrugged a little.. and turned back to look at him as he took the guitar from her. "Thanks, I know like four songs and all of them love songs." She said with a shake of her head.. Songs that reminded Chris of Mia so she never played them..
She turned her thoughts from Chris to Jasper as he started to sing and she smiled at him..
"Don't be sorry.. that was amazing." She said with a warm smile.

Jazz nodded slowly, though completely aware that she was withholding information from him. Little sisters had their advantages after all, he decided in that moment. Though he didn't press for information. Not yet at least. He'd ask her about all that later.
An amused smile crossed his face at her mentioning that she'd given up on being a healer. "Well it's a loss for medicine and a win for music," he concluded, with a smile on his face. Which was definitely true, he could imagine that Azura would've been a good healer in future. But hospitals.... the thought alone made him cringe. He'd also spent a significant amount of the last year in a hospital.
Never again.
He frowned at Azura's own comments about her mother. Hesitating, he reached out to her, pausing again for a second before resting his hand on her arm trying to comfort him the same way she always did him. At least he knew what was happening to his mother. He couldn't imagine just... having to assume... "At least she's alright, like you said..."
More guilt ran through him, thinking that he should've been there to support her throughout that. But she probably had Jace, and all the other people that she was friends with. Not that it would've made it any easier.
A grin crossed his face, her comment about her only knowing love songs reminding him all too much of Fliss. "My baby sister loves them too, I think the only songs I've been playing over the last year have been love songs," but she was too young for love! Jasper Quinn was not going to allow it. No boys around Fliss, not until she was at least 17 years old, then she'd be able to focus on her studies!
"Which songs are they?" he'd probably know them, though he wasn't sure if he'd know the chords that went along with them.
He grinned at her comment, though from the heat in his cheeks he was certain he was blushing a little. Trying to shake that off he shrugged lightly, "I've had a lot of time to practice."

Az smiled as Jazz spoke about her music "Mmmm, I'm actually auditioning for music school this year. For WADA andddd.. " She smiled at him just to prolong the suspense a bit. "And Julliard. " She said with a bit of a blush and a smile. She didn't want to brag to him now that he was back.. but she was excited! She only hoped she would be able to get in.
She looked down as she felt his hand on her arm in an attempt to comfort her. It was sweet, like he was and she appreciated the gesture. She gently put her hand on top of his and squeezed it gently. "Mmmm, she's all right now. But those first several months were pretty awful. " And everyone had left.. Though Chris had shown up.. he had literally saved her life.
"Oh really? " She said with a smile. " They are fun to play, but I usually don't play them in front of people." She said with a bit of a shrug. The last thing she wanted to do was remind Chris of Mia..So she was trying to find songs that were.. less romantic?
"Ahh, Well Photograph and Thinking out Loud by Ed Sheeran, then I'm yours and I won't give up. By Jason Mraz.. " She paused for a moment.. "Oh and History by One Direction. "
She smiled a bit as he blushed.. "Well it was super great. " She said with a gentle nudge in his direction.

A massive grin crossed Jasper's face, though his stomach dropped at the same time. One of his only friends was auditioning for music school, and he was certain that she was talented enough to get in. "That's great," he said, though a part of him told him that he was lying to her at that moment. "I hope you get it, I'm sure you'll do great!"
More lies. Or at least half lies.
He was sure she'd do great. And it was great, for her more so than for him. Was it bad to wish that she wouldn't get in though?
Yes, that was selfish, and as her probably no longer best friend he had to be supportive!
All he could do was nod as she commented that it had been awful. Though he tried to smile encouragingly, grateful that his somewhat awkward attempt to comfort her hadn't gone completely awry and made the situation worse.
"Fliss bugs me until I give in and play them for her," Jasper deadpanned, though he couldn't help but smile anyway because his sister was absolutely adorable at times. "But they can be good fun to play, people usually enjoy them more... though after playing 500 miles about 10 000 times last year I'm done" he said with a smile.
Bright side, his sister had probably unrealistic expectations of boys. It made scaring them off easier if they couldn't impress her in the first place.
His head tilted to the side as Azura mentioned the songs that she knew. She'd already played Photograph, so his fingers quickly moved back to the chords for one of the others songs.
"Well, you done done me and you bet I felt it
I tried to be chill, but you're so hot that I melted
I fell right through the cracks
Now I'm trying to get back" a grin crossed his face as he began singing the song that she mentioned, and while he'd quietened down after that he kept strumming, giving her the option to sing along if she felt like it.

Azura smiled as Jazzy spoke and she tucked some of her dark hair behind her ear as she looked up at him. "Eveyone has such faith in md, everyone is sure I'll get in. " She said with a soft sigh. She wished she could believe in herself like everyone else did.
Her purple eyes looked up to meet his green ones and she tilted her head a little as she smiled at him. "Hey, even if I get in.. that doesn't mean I'll be leaving this year, or even next.. I'll be around for awhile. " She wasn't disappearing overnight. She gave him a comforting smile hoping to ease his mind a little. He just looked a bit uncomfortable at her news..
Though it felt kinda good to know that people wanted her around.. sometimes she wasn't sure if she would be missed. It was nice to know that she would be.
A soft giggle escaped her lips as he spoke and she smiled. "She's a lucky girl to have such an amazing guy for an older brother. " she said with a soft smile. She always wished she had a sibling, for instances like that.. Though Wes and Rai did well enough asnher cousins.. she was highly grateful for them.
She smiled as Jazz'a fingers started to play the instrument once again and she grinned as he started singing..
She instantly chimed in when he stopped singing with the next verse.
"Before the cool done run out
I'll be giving it my bestest
And nothing's gonna stop me but divine intervention.
I reckon, it's again my turn
To win some or learn some."
She smiled warmly at him, this was a whole lot of fun.

Looking at how she responded to him, Jazz mentally shook his head, not understanding how she couldn't think as highly of herself. This was where his awkward ego boosting attempts came in. "That's because we know you're good enough to get in."
No blushing or awkward scratching, he just nodded his head to emphasise his point. Because Azura was going to be good enough to get in, especially if she really wanted to get it. And considering the schools she mentioned, who wouldn't want to get in?
He couldn't help but awkwardly reach up to scratch his neck when she picked up on his discomfort at the idea of her leaving through, shrugging his shoulders slightly. "I'll just have to get better at sending owls when you do go," he gave her a sheepish grin at that comment. He was not going to allow her to drop off the face of the world after leaving.
Nope.
Not allowed.
He couldn't help but flush slightly red and laugh at her comment about Felicity being lucky to have an 'amazing guy' like him as a brother. The compliment from Azura definitely meant something. "I think you'd find my sister would disagree," he commented amused. Especially in a few years if she ever had a boyfriend.
Jasper's grin only grew as Azura took over singing, though as she stopped singing he finished playing, tapping his guitar for a moment in thought. Knowing that he desperately wanted to keep that smile on her face, he thought of the other songs she'd mentioned earlier. He didn't know how to play 'I Won't Give Up', so he instead went for 'Thinking out Loud', though he didn't start singing this time, instead waiting for her too. He'd rather listen to her sing, he'd decided at that moment.
After he'd finished playing he looked back up at her. "Any other songs that you like?"
He just hoped he'd be able to play whatever she requested.

Azura smiled a bit as he spoke and she shrugged a little. She wasn't so sure she was good enough, there would always be people better than her, not to mention, what if the piano program was full? There were many factors in her making it into the schools. Being good was just one of them.
However despite her realistic approach to her chances she was very grateful to have so many people believing in her. She had been working so hard.. "Thanks Jazzy, I'm sure with everyone believing in me, I will get in. " She had to get into one at least, right?
She watched him as he reached up to scratch his neck and she smiled warmly at him, some things had changed and something's hadn't. "I have to stay for OWLS at least.. if not more. If I get into WADA, I'm sure I can work with them. " She said with a warm smile.. she wasn't leaving now.. these things had to be done early though.
Especially if she didn't get in! Then she would have time to figure out what to do with her life.
A grin crossed her face as he blushed a bit as her purple eyes looked into his green ones. "I'm sure she would agree with me. You are amazing and if she doesn't think so now, she will. " She said as she shifted a bit on the stands and moved her body towards him.
Another smile crossed her face as he stared to play Thinking Out Loud for her and she started to sing a few of the lines..
"When your legs don't work like they used to before
And I can't sweep you off of your feet
Will your mouth still remember the taste of my love
Will your eyes still smile from your cheeks."
She smiled as he stopped the song and she tilted her head to think.. "Well, 500 miles comes to mind. " She said with a bit of a tease in her voice her eyes sparkling..
"Do you know Yellow by Coldplay? " She asked him curiously.

Nodding his head, he smiled at her. She was finally coming around to seeing his view, or at least he thought she was anyway. Besides which now he had at least 2 more years to convince her that he was right and boost her ego in preparation of her going to one of those places. "So I've got two years to relearn how to right a letter?" an amused grin crossed his face.
Maybe he'd go with snail mail to confuse her more. He wasn't sure how well an owl would fare travelling from Australia to the other side of the world. Though those animals always did surprise him.
"I think I'll give her a decade or two before asking," he commented lightly, thinking about his sister. They usually got along pretty well, but she probably wasn't going to throw out compliments lightly.
Maybe if Azura sent him to hospital for a year she'd admit it. But was that really worth spending another year away from Hogwarts?
Smiling softly, he listened to Azura as she was singing, enjoying the sound before they had both stopped. As soon as Azura spoke, he laughed, shaking his head though he obliged.
"When I wake up yeah I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who wakes up next to you" two lines in he stopped, shaking his head again.
"I'm over that song," he commented, still grinning despite the situation. At least by now he knew it so well he didn't have to think about it when he played it.
Coldplay, he knew a couple of their songs. Yellow he also knew, but hadn't played in... a while. He couldn't even remember when. Looking at his guitar thoughtfully, he began playing, cringing only five seconds in when he played something wrong and it sounded dreadful.
'Concentrate harder, Jazz' he told himself, trying to regain focus as he began playing again, this time successfully.

Thank Merlin.
Azura grinned as Jazz spoke and she tilted her head a bit, letting some of her hair fall in her face. "Yes, two years to learn how to write a letter, and I must warn you.. I'm a pretty good letter writer." She said with a smile as she let her purple eyes rest on the Ravenclaw. Or he had two years to decide he didn't really need her in his life.. Whichever came first really. He had left her once, he could do it again.
But she really hoped he didn't. She wanted him back in her life again and she didn't want to have to make sure he was still going to be there. But then again there was no telling what life would hold.. So.. She was going to enjoy this moment, this time they had together.. Just getting to know him again.. Thats all she could ask for.
She grinned at him. "Be happy you have a sibling.. I don't.. Sure I have cousins.. but they aren't the same.. Though I do have a new baby cousin! His name is Phoenix and he is so adorable." She said with a soft giggle. He had just turned one as well!
She grinned at him as he laughed at her request and her smiled turned into a soft giggle as he started to sing a bit of the song to her.. He really did have a good voice.. She could probably listen to him sing and play guitar all day really..
She smiled as he spoke.. "It's a good song, but singing it ten thousand times can be a bit much." She said with an easy smile back at him as she set all of her papers down next to her and stuck her bag on top of them so they wouldn't fly away.
Her head tilted as he seemed to be off to a somewhat rocky start and she was about to tell him he didn't have to when he started to play it again and she closed her eyes and smiled.. She loved this song..
"Look at the stars, see how they shine for you." She sang softly as she opened her eyes and looked back at her friend.

A short chuckle escaped him at her comment about her being a good letter writer. That was definitely a good skill. "Well at least one of us is good at it, so then I can learn how to write them from you," he joked, though it was partially serious. When it came to letters, he usually wrote it, read it, second guessed himself and never ended up sending them.
Or he just forgot to do it.
"I am happy I have her," Jasper admitted, though he would probably never tell her that. Maybe on the day that Fliss told him he was an amazing older brother. That seemed just as unlikely to happen. "Cousins are good... they eventually go away unlike siblings so if you're having issues I think they're solved easier."
That was how it worked with his cousins at least. Whenever they annoyed him he could just leave. When Fliss annoyed him... well a closed door was not going to keep her away from him. A smile crossed his face as she mentioned her baby cousin. They were cute when they were little, then it kind of fluctuated for a while. He wasn't sure if kids ever reached a point where they were better, but he supposed he'd watch his sister to figure it out. "How old is he?"
A laugh escaped him at her comment about 500 miles, and he nodded in agreement. "I'm hoping that she has a new favourite by the time I get home, she has a year to find one!"
Smiling, he couldn't help but feel relaxed by the sound of the music. Could they just stay here playing songs and singing all the time?
This was perfect.
Thinking of a song he liked he wondered whether she'd know is as he shifted to the new song. Radioactive by Imagine Dragons.
"I'm waking up, I feel it in my bones
Enough to make my systems blow
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, oh, I'm radioactive, radioactive
Whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, oh, I'm radioactive, radioactive"

Az smiled at Jasper as he spoke and she giggled softly. "Well, you have at least two years to get better at it! And I'll want to hear from you.. although.." She tilted her head a bit.. "Maybe I can get you a mirror, that way we can talk to each other instead of write letters. " She said with a nod.. If letter writing was such a problem, they could get around that issue. She would have to ask her mom if she had any extras..
She smiled warmly as he talked about about his sister and she pulled up her legs and rested her chin on them as he spoke, she sort of hugged them close to her. Just watching her friend as he spoke to her. "Of course, she's your sister. I imagine life without her wouldn't be much fun?" She said with nod. She couldn't imagine life without her cousins or her friends! Which she supposed was like her family now. Jace was like her brother, Chris was her boyfriend and Jazz..
Hmm.. Jazz was..
She didn't have time to think through that statement for he was asking about Phe and she grinned happily. "He's almost a year! Oh he's so cute, brown hair purple eyes like the rest of us.. so adorable. " And Wes was the greatest big brother. They had visited last summer while she had been in France. She and Wes had pretty much spent the whole time hanging out with Phoenix.
A soft smile graced her face as he spoke. "Oh I hope so, maybe I should drop her and owl? One Direction is pretty cool. " She said in a teasing voice as she nodded before going silent as he started to sing again..
She hugged her legs more as she watched him.. really she could do this all day!
She clapped for him as he finished and she grinned. "I love that song. "
