| | |  The Practice Room
Next to the classroom there is a room that can be used for practice. On one wall there is a bookshelf with a collection of books about transfiguration. Students may not remove these books from the room without asking Professor Riveroll for permission to borrow them. In a cabinet next to the bookshelf there are items that can be used for transfiguration practice. Pincushions, matchboxes, teapots, and buttons are among some of the items that you may find here. On occasion the professor may supply live creatures to practice with. A long mirror on the opposite wall is there for advanced students trying human transfiguration. Quote:

Transfiguration. If there was one subject of her studies that required the most attention it was Transfiguration. Having not even managed to scrape by with a passing grade in her OWL examination - somehow managing to make her own Incarcerous to bind her rather than the intended target and sufficiently failed third section of the exam. Conjuration was by far the most difficult branch for the Hufflepuff and the only proper form of magical conjuration she felt confident in performing was ironically the most difficult - a patronus...and wasn't even the same thing.
Which was rather unfortunate given the medical magic associated with the particular branch of Transfiguration. So..Conjuration? Major work.
Vanishment? Okay. Manageable.
Transformation? Seemed to be rather hit and miss.
Switching...well...she had accidentally switched her own eyes with buttons last term...so VERY hit and miss.
Untransfiguration? Perhaps she ought to properly master Transformation first.
Wand out, the seventh year's hand brushed over the varies supplies as she attempted to procrastination from actually starting.

Was it that time of the year when he should start practicing for the dueling club? Absolutely YES. And if you couldn't tell, Hugo was excited because he enjoyed the club. Very much. And this year he was ready to give it all and that included nonverbals.
Hugo was going to pay a visit to Hirsch but for some reason he ended up in the Transfiguration practice room but he was not alone. There was Paige. " Hellooo" said as he entered the room " Practicing?" or nah? He could practice with her though. A random thought hit him, Paige was Thornton's ex girlfriend, right? And talking about him....where was he? He owned Hugo a duel. Mhm.

And she wasn't even considering the fact that several spells could be potentially used as her own bread and butter for dueling purposes. She was rather hoping that a well placed Day Dream Charm would be more than enough. Her Charms work, coincidentally, was quite potent.

He laughed, " Why? You aren't going to hex me on purpose, right?" OR WAS SHE? You know, people who are nice most of the time have a dark side. Better watch out for the Hufflepuffs.
Ohh she did signed up. That was great. He smiled and nodded, " You'll do fine" said like it was no big deal. Though he was disappointed on the next thing she said. Thornton wasn't going to participate on the dueling club??? He frowned, " Shame" really " And I will" oh believe me he was going to ask for the rematch.

"So...you ready to practice?" he took his wand out and grinned. A well placed hex was honestly the least of Hugo's concerns. And, in all honesty, she was not sure she could land a hex on good conscious. Well, no, there were a few exceptions on the list of hexes that she felt were options she could have her spell casting arsenal and not feel to terribly guilty about...but that wasn't the point. "Not...without you knowing I am going to practice one?" she clarified. Practice and all that. It was only fair that her partner know what was potentially coming his way. "Just...if you end up with an elephant trunk for a nose...or buttons for eyes...and we can't remove it...apologies in advance," she added with a soft giggle.
Because THAT was quite likely.
Simply nodding her head at what he said next, because there really was little else to say on the matter other tha blush at his misplaced confidence, Paige two removed her wand and gave it a shy twirl between her fingers. "Sure...yes...okay," she said a bit unconvincingly. "I...really need to work on my conjuration and switching spells speficially...are you sure you're alright being my guinea pig?"
