After enduring the beginning of the term that consisted of dyed pink laundry, pixies being set loose, doors being jammed, stairs being turned into a life-threatening slip 'n' slide, and more, the school poltergeists have finally been united as husband and wife ... under the condition that student lives are not put in danger from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and health, until death do us part.
Following a brief wedding ceremony that took place in the Great Hall, all students and staff were invited to follow the newly wedded couple to celebrate the marvelous marriage. The reception is being held on the seventh floor. If you are familiar with the Room of Requirement, you will recognize the location of the space across a particular tapestry; otherwise, you will just think it's a room that you never knew existed inside the castle.
Large open doors, the smell of sweet flowers and savoury food, and cheerful melodic tones beckon you to enter the humongous room, transporting you to the medieval times. The hall house is adorned in faded banners that date back to when the school was founded, circular tables that have all sorts of markings etched into them, individual stools for you to sit on, and large candle-lit iron chandeliers that warmly light up the room as the ceiling reflects the night sky. Front and centre is a long table for the bride and groom (who will be wearing crowns meant for kings and queens) as well as their wedding party. To the left of this long table is a smaller table for wedding gifts, and to the right a table is displaying a wedding cake as well as various pies and tarts.
The moment you sit down, the house-elves and the school caretaker will be at your service. Chicken legs bigger than your head, bricks of bread, mountains of mashed potatoes and gravy, bowls of stew, and plates of cheese, fruit, and vegetables are elves have to offer while the caretaker will begrudgingly serve you giant mugs of butterbeer, gillywater, or pumpkin juice.
Eat, drink, and be merry! Remember to chew with your mouth open and burp loudly – you're in medieval times now!

Rosalyn shook her head. Gaston really could be too hard on himself sometimes. "If I preferred doing other things, I'd be doing them right now. So would Kay," she said to reassure him. There was no way that they would leave him when he was so upset. Of course Peeves and Miffy weren't being helpful. She would have thought that getting married would have calmed them down; apparently she had been wrong.
So it was someone Kaysha knew. That meant Rosalyn knew her too. Her eyebrows raised slightly. Was it Laurel? Joy? Cynthia? Probably not the best idea to ask him since he obviously wouldn't want to talk about it. That didn't mean they couldn't offer advice without. It wasn't necessary to know who it was for after all. Gaston was complimenting her, however. Well, she didn't think she was that great but it was very sweet of him to say all of that. He really was wonderful. She couldn't help but smile, though her eyes widened at what he said next. Did he just say what she thought he just said? "Gaston, I-" Before she could continue, she was being shielded from any further attacks. Sweet Gaston. She really appreciated that. Thank Merlin the cake was gone from her face though it was the students that they needed to leave alone. Frowning, she started cleaning up the mess with her wand. That was when she felt the first raindrop.
Head spinning from shock over everything that was happening, she looked up at the enchanted ceiling... and ended up getting soaking wet. "This is ridiculous! Stop the rain right now." The students needed to be protected from it. Why did they even let these two get married?! Rosalyn just wanted the whole thing over with. That, and the time to process things.

Oh... that explained what Gaston meant when he said he found the woman of his dreams. It seemed as though he wouldn't be needing her help after all. Kay was happy for Gaston and would be even happier if Rose returned the feelings to him. "I'll just leave-'' Splat! Cake hit her on the side of her face. "Those poltergeists!'' she exclaimed. She hurriedly wiped the cake away only to feel rain coming down. It looked as though this was her time to exit.
Trusting that no one would miss her and that everyone would be heading for cover from flying cake and rain, Kaysha hurried for the door. She began to descend back to her office. She was feeling sad and out of it. Gaston and Rose just reminded her of someone. She needed Ansley or her dad. Or both. She wanted to talk to them.

Sir Nicholas bowed graciously to the Lady of the hour. At least she appreciated him hovering up above all of those people, who he might add he liked, and give a speech! He merely turned his head coldly away from Peeves.

And she sped away with another ear-piercing wail.
After hearing the Lady Helena's words, his attention shifted to something rather annoying. It was Myrtle, in a typical Myrtle mood. Sir Nicholas did not wish to dampen his royal mood, which prompted him to subtly float off in another direction...

Better grab some wedding cake and head for cover because it's really coming down now.

SPLAT!!!!!
And that! SPLAT!!!!
Cake everywhere! SPLAT!! SPLAT!
Rain also! “OHOOOOOOO! RAIN! I LOVE THE RAIN!”
What Sir Nicholas really wanted to do was ask the Lady Helena for a dance. He spotted her and went towards her, when he felt, or... noticed something go through him. A big piece of cake. His eyebrows hopped up into surprise as he watched it collide with someone's face. "How unfortunate," he said as he passed them. It wasn't only cake, though, but something else. Miffy pointed out that it was rain!
He would have been gentlemanly and protected people from the rain, but it would have just gone through him anyway.

However, he didn’t like the idea of being accidentally undressed should the party go that far. “Well...you look great...even better than Miffy.” Of course the last bit was spoken in a whisper, audible enough for Liv to hear. Jace was taken aback however, at the compliment. He looked...handsome? He thought that word was only reserved for his dad and brother. As far as he knew, he wasn’t good looking compared to the other men in the Reed family. “I...uh...thanks.” he said tucking his hands behind him and stared at his feet, a shy grin plastered on his face. Who knew Liv would find him fetching?
Jace was too busy in his own bubble to even notice what was going on. He would have approached the best friend and Noelle if he knew they were there. But before he could offer his arm to Olivia, the Gryffindor girl already looped her arm with his, and was lead to the dance floor. This made the Ravenclaw chuckle, and somehow...he felt relaxed. It was as if the awkwardness was left behind the moment Olivia whisked him away to where they stood now.
The Ravenclaw started to do some side to side dance moves...dorky ones of course, but he was at least dancing to the beat. Maybe exchanging his study time for something as...crazy as this wasn’t so bad. He was having fun!
...
Well, it looked like the fun part was over since bits and pieces of cake were being thrown at them? “Oh no...oh my---”
SPLAT!
Good thing he wasn’t wearing a suit. In fact, he was wearing his usual casual clothing meant for escaping. “OLIVIA WATCH OUT!” Jace’s fast Kendo reflexes deflected the other cake that was aimed towards his date. He swatted out the cake out of Olivia’s way and accidentally hit someone with his caked hand. “S-SORRY!”
Being the perfect date Olivia was, she smiled her loveliest smile and blushed in all the appropriate places at Jace's kind words. And to HER, he was handsome. Very fetching, Mr. Reed. Even if he wasn't super dressed up, because apparently the Ravenclaw had more of an inkling about these things than she did. It was all good, however. Didn't they still look adorable together, anyway?
She thought so.
Now out on the dance floor together, the blonde Gryffindor allowed her mind to drift further away from all the terribly stressful things in her current life... becoming one with the music. Being a dancer, she had to force herself to stay away from the more technical moves, following his lead in the silliness. What could she say? Jace had the right idea, and Liv caught herself more than once, laughing out loud in her special joyous way. This truly was the best time she'd had in a long while. Thank you, Jacen Reed.... In fact, she'd have even been okay with potential slow dances.... if not for... the sudden shout of 'OLIVIA WATCH OUT'....
What?
.....Cake was everywhere all around them in the mock reception hall...and especially on Jace, who'd just batted a large glob of icing and bread away from her person..... What were these moves? Was he... a trained fighter, too? Like Takeru...? It occurred to her, quite suddenly, that she seemed to sync up with these talented individuals. Good radar, Phillips. Exceptional, really. BUT THAT WAS TO BE THOUGHT ABOUT... at a later time, because a full fledged food fight seemed to be in the works.... "Jace!" No... No, it was okay, but she was about to do battle, she needed to kick these shoes off so she didn't break her neck. So, ahem, taking care of that, she grabbed for her dates hand and made for the cake table. "Better to join in, right?" SMIRK. Yep, the smirk was out. IT WAS ON.

Kinda?
Cake....and rain....????
.
.
It was super slippery and a mess.....but it was a far better thing to be enjoying ones self, yeah? And even though her hair and makeup were ruined....as well as her clothes, Olivia found herself to be having the best time. Which reminded her.... "Are you okay?" This was directed towards her cake splattered date, who still looked quite adorable doused in the confection.
One thing was for sure, though. There was never a dull moment when Piffy were involved, amright? In the spirit of the food fight, she aimed a large clump of cake at Miffy. Just because. "CONGRATULATIONS!"

Raaaaaain! Charlotte didn't mind that or the cake being flung everywhere. She was a Gryffindor, she could handle it, and often she enabled things just by existing too. Cake in her hair and rain everywhere, Char just went ahead and enjoyed it, stomping in the puddles and generally feeling the exhilaration.
"This is the best wedding ever!"
