After enduring the beginning of the term that consisted of dyed pink laundry, pixies being set loose, doors being jammed, stairs being turned into a life-threatening slip 'n' slide, and more, the school poltergeists have finally been united as husband and wife ... under the condition that student lives are not put in danger from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and health, until death do us part.
Following a brief wedding ceremony that took place in the Great Hall, all students and staff were invited to follow the newly wedded couple to celebrate the marvelous marriage. The reception is being held on the seventh floor. If you are familiar with the Room of Requirement, you will recognize the location of the space across a particular tapestry; otherwise, you will just think it's a room that you never knew existed inside the castle.
Large open doors, the smell of sweet flowers and savoury food, and cheerful melodic tones beckon you to enter the humongous room, transporting you to the medieval times. The hall house is adorned in faded banners that date back to when the school was founded, circular tables that have all sorts of markings etched into them, individual stools for you to sit on, and large candle-lit iron chandeliers that warmly light up the room as the ceiling reflects the night sky. Front and centre is a long table for the bride and groom (who will be wearing crowns meant for kings and queens) as well as their wedding party. To the left of this long table is a smaller table for wedding gifts, and to the right a table is displaying a wedding cake as well as various pies and tarts.
The moment you sit down, the house-elves and the school caretaker will be at your service. Chicken legs bigger than your head, bricks of bread, mountains of mashed potatoes and gravy, bowls of stew, and plates of cheese, fruit, and vegetables are elves have to offer while the caretaker will begrudgingly serve you giant mugs of butterbeer, gillywater, or pumpkin juice.
Eat, drink, and be merry! Remember to chew with your mouth open and burp loudly – you're in medieval times now!
Suited up, the CoMC Professor entered the reception hall after witnessing the one-in-a-million wedding ceremony. Medieval theme? Most weddings that he'd ever attended didn't really have a theme like this. He spotted his colleague dressed up nicely was standing not too far from him. Grabbing two glasses of drink from Flynn, Jordan walked approaching the Divination professor. "Need something to drink?" He offered.
Laurel had never attended a wedding with medieval theme but there was a first time for everything. First poltergeist wedding. First reception with a medieval theme. She was pondering over what gift to give the newly wedded couple when she was distracted by the arrival of her colleague and old classmate Jordan. Turning to him Laurel smiled as she happily accepted one of the glasses. "Hello Jordan, yes, I do need something to drink, thank you." Taking a sip of pumpkin juice she gestured towards the gifts table. "What are you going to give the happy couple? Think they'd like a crystal ball?"

Laurel was trying to remember what food they ate in medieval times from memory when Kay joined her and Jordan in a very striking aqua coloured dress. If Kay wanted it then she'd excuse herself but Laurel wasn't going to until she in that case got a sign.

One way or another he hadn't been fussed about the marriage of Peeves and Miffy, but he was of the opinion that as long as they stopped the pranks then it was okay by him. If they were to re-start pranking, then he would not be happy at all. But, he was optimistic. "Hello, hello," he said, giving waves, and smiles to everyone.
Art came some time after Rosalyn clad quite smartly in black pants and a jacket. She also saw Paul come in but he had only eyes for the food so she douted that he saw her wave. Laurel inwardly approved of the fact that the potions master had left his suit in his wardrobe and had chosen something more hip and modern for the festivities. Smiling Laurel called over. "Hello Art, nice tie! Any idea what they ate in medieval times that we could get to taste today?"

Why hadn't he known that Peeves had needed groomsmen? Apparently Olly needed to pay more attention... okay he already knew that.
There was so much to do at the reception. He definitely needed to check out the food soon. And the dancing!
Sir Nicholas was mighty chuffed to have seen the two Poltergeists become united as husband and wife. He floated through the entrance of the Room of Requirement. The ruff he had chosen today was so large that if his spectral body was still capable of sneezing, his head would not have even wobbled. "Hello everyone, splendid day for a wedding, isn't it?" he said as he floated past people. He stopped when he saw Miffy, the bride. "Congratulations Miffy," he said.
“THAAAAAANKS, NICK! Aren’t you pleased for us now?’’ Miffy and her Peevesipoo together forever. No ghost could separate them!!!!
It was time to throw the boquet. “WHO WANTS TO CATCH MY BOUQUET????” *GIGGLE* No one realized that it was actually poison ivy.
Miffy floated to the front of the room. She looked over at the guests. “Catch my bouquet and you’ll be hitched next!!!” Miffy turned to back the crowd. Another *GIGGLE* and the poison ivy bouquet was released over her head.

So that was what a poltergeist wedding looked like. Huh. Interesting. Blaise had done the best he could as a groomsman....which was basically just standing there through the whole ceremony refusing to believe it was actually happening, while his quill scribbled away blissfully. Peeves should have given him a handbook if he'd expected him to do anything else--but really, truthfully, he thought he'd done a brilliant job of standing there and now the reception was on.
Blaise made his way into the room, coming to a stop by his friends (Char, Olly, Katy). One more thing to cross off his list. He'd now attended a wedding AND took a...somewhat active part in it. "He's right." Referring to Olly's earlier compliment as he'd been walking up. "It's a nice look on you." He looked to Katy, she looked nice too. "I like your dress."
Food you say? He'd pass on that for now. With his luck, it was probably tampered with as the food tended to be half the time. Blaise would wait and watch to see if anyone started showing signs of contamination, THEN he would try some.
Miffy's shout grabbed at his attention forcefully, causing his head to jerk in her direction. Oh, the bouquet. She was throwing it? Why would you get hitched next? The Gryffindor gave his friend a playfully nudge to the ribs. "What'd you say, Olly, feeling like catching some flowers?"

Did his beloved see what an atrocious crime against them had been committed?! Whoever caught that bouquet had what was coming to them, clearly! But the lack of presents certainly made an excuse for Peeves to cause a bit of mayhem...

It did look good and edible, but she still wasn't sure. "Did you make this Quirly?" She'd feel better knowing the elves hadn't been away from the food.
Hearing Cal's words she looked at him for a moment. He wasn't serious right? But a smirk formed, "Don't you think it's a little early to be thinking that far ahead? You know the person that catches that is suppose to get married next." Which isn't happening at all, no offense Cal, but it wasn't something she thought worked for anyone. "Plus that thing is made of poison ivy, so I'm not going near it." Hearing Peeves words about the gifts she cringed a bit. "Looks like we weren't the only ones that didn't bring anything." She was singing, so that could be their gifts.
"Miffy... Peeves it was a very nice wedding. Congratulations." See she could be nice to them even if they made her fall down steps, get attacked by Pixies, and A SLUG ON HER ROBES!

Oh look, here comes the newlywed. Should he... clap or do something? Maybe congratulating them? It didn't sound like a bad idea, huh? "Congratulations to you two," Jordan said to the poltergeist couple and raised his glass. That was enough, wasn't it? What he's gonna say again? Hoping that they would have such beautiful babies? Jordan had no idea if poltergeist could have babies. Well, imagine a whole family of poltergeist in Hogwarts.... Eh, that doesn't sound like a good idea.
Wedding gift? Uh oh... "I don't give them anything." Haha. "Well uh... it's just I'm confused what should I give since they don't need a kitchen appliance or gift shopping voucher." The CoMC professor whispered to Laurel. That was a shame, but why did he give something that later won't be used by them? Sipping his drink, Jordan saw Kay and Rosalyn. "Hello, ladies." He greeted both of them and decided to tease the History of Magic Professor a little bit. "I thought you're coming with Gaston." He casually asked her.
And here comes the bouquet tossing. "You ladies should chase for it and hopefully any of you will be hitched anytime soon." He casually spoke to them. Didn't girls are getting crazy for getting the bouquet? Why on earth no one catch it?

As far as History is concerned, there had been no poltergeist wedding ever recorded, and Jace was actually pleased to have witnessed one. It did sound absurd, but the matter was a curious one which explained the Ravenclaw’s presence. The raven-haired boy stood by the doorway and took note of what was going on. And...are those genetically modified chicken legs?! Just...look at the size!
Jace stared at the pile of food, and was momentarily lost in his thoughts. It looked delicious alright, but the thought of altering its DNA scientifically or magically made his stomach churn. He’d give the mashed potatoes a go though. The Ravenclaw blinked and remembered that he asked Liv to accompany him to the wedding. Jace assumed that she went to the girl’s bathroom to freshen up? Girls loved doing that, don’t they?

Hadleigh's gaze shifted once more around the area her eyes lingering for the briefest of moments on all her friends. Everyone looked lovely and had done a nice job of getting dressed for the wedding. The theme even was spot on for the two poltergeist as well. All in all she had to say it was nice for what it was...a very different type of wedding.
Taking Frankie by the hand she made her way closer to where the food was. Of course the boyfriend would want food before anything else which was just fine by her. Hazel eyes shifted away from the blonde to take in Miffy and Peeves entrance and their shouting which was beyond normal for them, "A very lovely pair you make indeed Miffy!" she called out in return laughing softly to herself. Whatever kept those two calmer was just fine by her.
What was this about wedding gifts? Hady wouldn't have known what to get them if she had tried. The band was supposed to be playing as requested by Miffy, did that count as a gift? The brunette was just about to turn and ask this to Nat seeing as she was close by but there was more shouting happening.
Lifting her head to see what Miffy was yelling about there was barely anytime for her to take notice to what came flying down from above. Instinctively her arms raised upwards to grab hold of the item to keep it from hitting her squarely in the side of the face. Her instincts were quick enough to stop the full impact but small leaves fell off landing on her as she caught it. It wasn't until she lowered it in front of herself did she realize what it was. A bouquet. Miffy's bouquet. Made of-
Hadleigh dropped the poison ivy bouquet at her feet taking a step back a look of confusion and maybe anger on her face. Why her. Why poison ivy. "Don't touch that.." she told anyone closest to her.

Peeves tutted and then proceeded to blow raspberries at everyone assembled. "Tut tut tut. Someone ought to teach you some manners." He did tip his hat at the congratulations though; soon enough they would see just how AMAZING the reception could get because it was time for the entertainment!
"Speechs and entertainment!" he chanted over and over again as he zoomed around the room and did a few loops over people's heads. If they didn't do a good job, there would be consequences.

Having a wedding for a poltergeist was new. Noelle was all for a little celebration and other people being happy. She wore a dress that Ava had picked out for her during the summer at Diagon Alley. It was red, chiffon, and fit her just right. Of course, Noelle wasn't much for heels so she wore sparkled flats and simple jewelry. She even got Olly to help her with her make up. She helped him with his as well. They were gorgeous if she did say so herself.
Noelle had nibbled on the huge chicken wings but she did sneak a book in to study since her time was scrunched. She planned on dancing, but while she wasn't dancing, she could get a few minutes of studying in here and there.
Now was one of those minutes. She was perched at the table, flipping through her potions book while the party took place. She'd danced a few times, but now, she wanted to review something. Taking her highlighting quill out, she began to highlight what she thought would be important to remember, and what she needed to work on.

Gaston had no idea what he was doing here! He had every intention of politely declining his invitation, but the romantic in him just couldn't stay away from a wedding. He'd been in the back row throughout the ceremony, his head bowed to hide his tears from the prying eyes of the students and other staff. It never failed... weddings always reduced him to an emotional wreck, even when the bride and groom just happened to be homocidal maniacs.
He wasn't sure what exactly had drawn him to the party- not the food, certainly. He had enough candy back in his office to feed an army. Maybe it was the curiosity about a poltergeist reception or maybe it was the desire to not be alone... either way, by the time he arrived, the celebration was in full swing. He took a deep breath, his panicked cerulean eyes searching for any signs of pranks as he entered the room. He still hadn't forgiven Peeves and Miffy for their dangerous pranks and, frankly, wouldn't put it past them to do it again. His hand tightened around his wand, poised to react at a moment's notice. This time if they were going to endanger his life - or Merlin forbid!- the lives of his students, he'd be ready for them!
Something about being alone and in fear had put the Frenchman in an unusually sullen mood, and he doubted he'd be very good company right now. He spotted some of his colleagues (Laurel, Jordan, Kay, and Rosalyn) and greeted them with a polite nod and a sad smile before going to stand against the wall, where he wouldn't spoil anyone's good time. He watched Peeves and Miffy and couldn't help but roll his eyes. A part of him was genuinely happy for the couple, but seeing them together only reminded him of how alone he really was. Even the poltergeists had found love, so why couldn't he?

"Why the eye roll, Gaston?'' No, The woman hadn't missed it. She stopped beside him, eyes moving to the newly married couple. She had the hope that the two would now calm down with their pranks even if it was for a while. Then she was frowning for she had watched Hady catch the bouquet. Had Miffy and Peeves done something to it?

"Yes, milady Miffy, I am very pleased for the... two of you," Sir Nicholas said to the Poltergirl.
He floated off towards the table to see if he could inhale the food, but alas he couldn't. "No decaying cheese, or mouldy meat," he said with a sigh, floating off towards the centre. Towards the golden couple. Towards Piffy.
Unfortunately Sir Nicholas couldn't get a present for the two, because he couldn't have gone shopping to buy something. But he supposed he could give a speech. Without the ability to raise a glass and cling a spoon to the side, he merely floated into the middle. He cleared his throat noisily before speaking. "The newest betrothed couple, to Mr and Mrs... ahem... Piffy! I, Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington, offer my many congratulations and best wishes for now until the end of days. May you always have happiness and laughter together. May you never grow tusks from your face," an unfortunate thing, indeed, "And may Hogwarts embrace this new couple and their settled matrimony." Because they would have to be settled, now, having been approved to wed. He bowed deeply to the couple, his head held nicely in place by his ruff.

As much as her ladyship despised Miffy and everything the poltergirl stood for, Lady Helena still found herself drifting out to the wedding and then up here to celebrate the joyous occasion. Because that's what it was meant to be: an occasion filled with joy at the union of two people in love. It hadn't happened before at this school so this was special, indeed. It was just a pity that it was between two people that... well.
The Grey Lady clasped her hands nearly in front of her as she paused in mid-air to listen to Sir Nicholas's speech. Always the brave man, he was. Her lips tugged up into the smallest of smiles while he spoke, though there was mild confusion about the tusks. What was that in reference to, Nicholas? Do share that story.
When he was done, she immediately sought to greet him but, midway, changed her mind. The ghost of Ravenclaw tower who had made a mental vow to never cross paths with Miffy, found herself floating towards her instead. This was her attempt at being the better of the two female spirits. "I would like to offer my congratulations on your... wedding," That last word was hard to utter. "I sincerely hope the two of you prosper from this union and enjoy a blissful married life." That was all.
Toddles comes helps. Yes Toddles does. Toddles likes parties. Toddles sees masters and mistresses and sees other elfsies. Toddles walks rounds. Toddles speaks, "Masters or Misses needs things from Toddles?"
Toddles sees cakes. Toddles loves cakes. Toddles walks to cakes and eats.
Toddles pulls on cakes and hears things....

Did she just see this right at her table. HADY caught the flowers. Natalia would have been happy for one of her best friends if it wasn't for the fact that the flowers were poison Ivy. "Hady get those away from you. Clean off your hands with your wand. Hopefully it will clear off what you touched. Your face too." Why did people trust these two again? She still wasn't sure. Hearing Peeve's voice again she looked at the poltergeist. Entertainment, well that was their cue. Miffy did say The Sirens were playing here. She turned to and smiled at Cal. [b] "I'll be back in a bit."[b] Leaning over she gave him a quick kiss on the cheek.
As soon as she was standing she looked at the rest of the band, "You girls ready?" A big concerned glance went to their drummer. Could you play after being hit with poison ivy? She didn't seem allergic so the sixth year figured she was fine. Grabbing Lily's hand and seeing Kelly get up Nat turned and headed to where the smaller stage was set up.
Watching for Hady to be ready she turned back to the reception guest. "Hey everyone! So Miffy had been looking for things for the wedding so The Sirens offered to sing for the wedding. So Miffy and Peeves we are hoping you are having a great day. Congrats from The Sirens. Now who is ready to get up and dance?"
It was time girls! Counting them in and hearing the music start Nat beamed excitedly. This was her favorite part. "Baby, I'm so into you. You've got that something, what can I do, Baby, you spin me around, oh the earth is movin, but I can't feel the ground. Everytime you look at me. My heart is jumpin, it's easy to see, Loving you means so much more. More than anything I ever felt before."

Immediately after she had entered, Rosalyn spotted her uncle. Seemed like he had followed right behind her. "Hello, Uncle Art. You look very good tonight." It was nice to see that he was feeling more of himself lately. Whatever Joy had given him to help with his knees had done wonders. It made her happy to see.
As Laurel asked about the house elves, Rosalyn momentarily turned her attention to the little creatures as they bobbed about doing this or that. "I wouldn't be surprised. They really are wonderful. I don't know what we would do without them." Such great helps with preparing food and doing clean up duties. Plus they were sweethearts. She shook her head. "Can't say that I have though this might be the kind of theme I would go with if I got married." Something that wasn't going to happen in the foreseeable future since she was single. "What about you? What's the most interesting one you have been to?" Look at her asking all these questions.
Seemed like Jordan was back to teasing her. Rosalyn didn't mind in the least. "I'm not sure where he is," she admitted. Hopefully he would show because on top of enjoying talking to him, it would be good for him to get out and celebrate with everyone else even if it was at a wedding reception for two poltergeists. Apparently they were going by the couple name of Piffy? Weird, but she was rolling with it. "Oh gosh, I don't think I am going to get married any time soon," she added with a laugh. No matter since the Head Girl had caught the bouquet... before quickly dropping it.
"...Was that poison ivy?" Seemed so, judging by the girl's reaction and the appearance of the plant.
Head shake. Fortunately for Hadleigh she was at a magical school. Joy shouldn't have any trouble clearing up the rash quickly.
Unamused by the most recent revelation, Rosalyn ignored the newly weds and their demand of entertainment - though she did think Sir Nick's speech was quite sweet. Instead she joined Kaysha in the attempt to cheer up Gaston, who had just arrived looking rather despondent. "Is everything okay?" she asked, not sure what was wrong. Like Kay, she was wondering what the eye roll had been about.
It was hard to keep from bobbing her head along with the music as The Sirens began to play. They were just wonderful!

Olivia had been so stupidly excited, being asked to be one of Miffy's bridesmaids. She'd never been to a wedding before, and the very first one she was being allowed to attend... she was participating IN! How cool was that?? Very...was the correct answer.
Not to mention... Jacen Reed had asked her to be his date. His DATE. Needless to say, the blonde Gryffindor was beyond tickled.
Owing her mother for fashion advice and such, she'd been sent clothing, which was more sophisticated than she'd have chosen for herself....but alas. She supposed she was cute enough in it. Definitely cute enough to be a bridesmaid. Mhm.

While he waited for his date, Jace had the pleasure to witness the throwing of the bouquet, and clapped along with the rest of the guests the moment Hady caught it. The Ravenclaw however got...slightly confused when she immediately let go of it. Did she...change her mind right all of a sudden?
Merlin, weddings are scary.
Jace turned his attention to Sir Nicholas...and was quite amused with his message. Never grow tusks on their faces? Do they...need a pair even? Was it...a foreshadowing of things to come? Before he could even spell disaster in his head, the Ravenclaw swiveled on his spot to see his date in her full glory. All logical thoughts were thrown out of the window, and Jace pretty much stared at Olivia who was all dolled up, looking sophisticated in her dress and heels. “It’s...okay.” he said as he cleared his throat wondering if he’d said that in English or Japanese. “I...didn’t wait long.” Jace smiled at her, and went on to smooth his creased shirt. He should’ve worn something more...presentable really.
“You look beautiful in that dress.”
And...huh? What concert? Oh...singing! Concert! Yes, yes. That...err...music stuff. “I didn’t know too. Sur...prise performance I guess?” he said, immediately looking away from his date. Somebody spell a w k w a r d for this kid. “Would...you...like to dance?” Before the music turns into a much slower pace???

Azura was here at this party alone, Chris was studying and so she had figured she would go and hang out with her friends. Though she hadn't seen many of them lately..
She smiled as she saw Kitty and she waved back to the girl and was about to walk over to her when she saw Jace. The purple eyed girl was about to walk over to her best friend when he was joined by someone else. Liv!
Wait... were they..together? Like on a date? Azura paused in her steps, her eyes a bit wide as she looked at the two of them for a moment.. her heart doing something strange as she averted her gaze and wildly looked around for anyone.. anything to distract her from the thoughts in her head..
What in fwoopers name was going on?
She finally spotted Noelle and made a bee line for her and slid into the seat next to her and turned towards her friend years brimming in her purple eyes as she turned her head away from the dance floor..
So that's what he likes.. Azura gently stroked her black hair as those thoughts moved through her head and she looked at Noelle..
"Distract me please? And make sure no one can see my crying.. I don't even know..."
