| | |  The Piffy Reception
 After enduring the beginning of the term that consisted of dyed pink laundry, pixies being set loose, doors being jammed, stairs being turned into a life-threatening slip 'n' slide, and more, the school poltergeists have finally been united as husband and wife ... under the condition that student lives are not put in danger from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and health, until death do us part.
Following a brief wedding ceremony that took place in the Great Hall, all students and staff were invited to follow the newly wedded couple to celebrate the marvelous marriage. The reception is being held on the seventh floor. If you are familiar with the Room of Requirement, you will recognize the location of the space across a particular tapestry; otherwise, you will just think it's a room that you never knew existed inside the castle.
Large open doors, the smell of sweet flowers and savoury food, and cheerful melodic tones beckon you to enter the humongous room, transporting you to the medieval times. The hall house is adorned in faded banners that date back to when the school was founded, circular tables that have all sorts of markings etched into them, individual stools for you to sit on, and large candle-lit iron chandeliers that warmly light up the room as the ceiling reflects the night sky. Front and centre is a long table for the bride and groom (who will be wearing crowns meant for kings and queens) as well as their wedding party. To the left of this long table is a smaller table for wedding gifts, and to the right a table is displaying a wedding cake as well as various pies and tarts.
The moment you sit down, the house-elves and the school caretaker will be at your service. Chicken legs bigger than your head, bricks of bread, mountains of mashed potatoes and gravy, bowls of stew, and plates of cheese, fruit, and vegetables are elves have to offer while the caretaker will begrudgingly serve you giant mugs of butterbeer, gillywater, or pumpkin juice.
Eat, drink, and be merry! Remember to chew with your mouth open and burp loudly – you're in medieval times now! | |

This was new... A wedding for poltergeist. Natalia felt she heard and saw everything now. Weddings weren't her cup of tea, mostly because in her seventeen years she had never attended one. So this was a first and it was a ghost wedding, fabulous. She had seen them in movies and it just didn't seem real, not to mention she wasn't even sure she believed in married and love that actually lasted.
But she was here and she dressed up. Natalia looked around the room as she entered the room of requirement. "Well if nothing else it will be interesting?" Why was she here again? Oh right, Miffy had said the band could play. So she would tolerate it, plus it was an excuse to dress up a bit and do something other then study with Cal. She knew he should be studying for OWLs but she could help him with that later. "Where should we sit?" Where was Hady, Kelly, and Lily too. Maybe Tm would be there or Vince?

"Oh..." She didn't even think about a gift. You had to bring a gift to a wedding? She remembered seeing that in a show or something. "What do you even get two poltergeist? " It was kind of weird, she thought maybe even just a shoe would work as a gift, but they'd probably use it to throw at her. She didn't trust them at all and felt this was a set up. "Let's find a table close to the door." Leading them that way she pulled out her chair. This way if it was a set up for a big prank they could escape quickly.

Frankie was not going to lie. Poltergeist weddings were one of the weirdest things he had ever witnessed. He wasn't a hater that thought the two meddlesome spirits being bound for life (Death? Limbo? What state of being were they even in?) as husband and wife was preposterous. In fact, he had been down there in the Great Hall the entire time, his eyes and mind taking it all in as every minute passed by until the two smacked lips and skedaddled away hand in hand. What he had experienced certainly was one of those once in a lifetime moments.
It was all worth it in the end, however. The Head Boy knew better than anyone that after weddings came the reception, which meant FOOD. No offense to Miffy and Peeves, but that was honestly one of the few reasons why he followed everyone down the seventh floor corridor instead of sneaking off to his dorm or the prefects' bathroom. If there was food, you had better bet that he wouldn't be too far behind.
His mouth was already salivating well before he walked through the doorway. The odours that filled his nostrils gave him a sense of satisfaction, a pat on the back, if you will, for attending the reception. The blond wasn't even paying attention to the decour or the people already in the room. He was eyeing the food. Sweet Merlin, he thought, gazing upon the gigantic chicken legs as his stomach growled loudly.

A wedding! Argyle was most pleased to be here at this wedding, most pleased she was indeed. Anything to treat the dear studentses she was so fond of. She skirted the edges of the tables, holding platters of food above herself, stopping beside anyone with a sad looking empty plate.
"Food if you is wanting it!" Argyle squeaked at the nearest cluster of guests. Oh so happy to be here and help, she was!

Weddings, well Quirly wasn't sure if she had ever helped with one before. With the pop the elf appeared at the party. Her lovely spatula in one hand and a tray . of cheese and fruits. "Mistresses and masters needs foods?' As little as a elf as she was she spoke loud enough for all of the
Mistresses and masters to hear. The foods was goods. The elf walked around look for where she was needed to give help out.

Flynn was sulking in the corner of the room with annoyed look on his face. He was the caretaker, which meant that he took care of the castle. Nowhere in his job description did it say that he was being paid to carry a tray of drinks at a wedding reception for two poltergeists of all things. He did have to admit, however, that this was a lot better than moping up first year puke.
Sighing at the sight of students, the man straightened up and inched forward. "Want a drink, you lot?" he asked those who had entered, not even bothering to fake a smile. They had better be paying him double for this or else he would be handing in his resignation.

Weddings were beautiful. The Friar even thought this one, the bonding of two poltergeists, was beautiful. The medieval vibe to the joint was a cherry on top for the jolly ghost, too!
"Ho, ho ho!" He chortled as he rested his hands atop his rotund belly. He had just married the two poltergeists and he had such a case of the cheery wiggles that he couldn't help but dance! He wasn't even in the mood to lament his lack of taste buds tonight! He just wanted to party!
And so party he would!
Where was Myrtle? He would certainly ask her to dance!

Following in the trail of the wedding party, Laurel entered the medieval reception room behind some students. She took a moment to let her eyes adjust to the damp lightning before she walked on her blue clickity-clack heels over to leave a wedding gift for the happy couple.
Her Inner Eye had of course predicted this union she just hadn't thought Peeves was the marrying sort.

This wasnt Tenacius' first wedding ceremony. There have been several, and most recently was his own parents' wedding. But then in all those times, the outfit was chosen for him.
What does one wear to a poltergeist wedding anyhow? And being Best Man at that?
He pulled together what he thought was a pretty fly outfit, at least for a last minute ensemble. Its a good thing his parents couldnt see him right now, his mother would've been aghast and his father would be laughing so hard he'd fart.
But yes it was a lovely ceremony from the Friar, and there was a sense of pride of seeing Miffy wear the fish ring he had suggested. It almost looked a lovely kind of normal. Except poltergeists. That is always weird.
But yes food. Is it even gonna be edible, or is it like Sir Nick's Death Day party where everything is literally garbage? Also where is he supposed to sit? Does poltergeists wedding have seating arrangements? He sees the long table-- does he sit there?... No wait better question-- does he want to sit next to two poltergeists that is widely known to pull pranks?
"Thanks Flynn!" he swipes a drink from the Caretaker's tray.

You know what? Charlotte actually thought she could get used to doing the bridesmaid thing, and it wasn't so bad to practice on a poltergeist wedding either! She'd had a great time at the wedding and now she intended to have a great time here at the reception which was BASICALLY just a fancy way of saying PARTAYYYY.
She expected to dance. LOTS. And if nobody asked her to, well she'd just ask her own self! But first she had to take in the atmosphere.

Suited up, the CoMC Professor entered the reception hall after witnessing the one-in-a-million wedding ceremony. Medieval theme? Most weddings that he'd ever attended didn't really have a theme like this. He spotted his colleague dressed up nicely was standing not too far from him. Grabbing two glasses of drink from Flynn, Jordan walked approaching the Divination professor. "Need something to drink?" He offered.

Wherever the Head Boy was, was usual where the Head Girl was. Which could only mean that one miss Hady Lynch was right behind him in entering the reception. Stepping up beside him, dressed in a simple yet stylish black and gray dress, her arm lightly brushing his she took in the room. "Shall we sit first or get some food?" she asked directing her question onto Frankie even though she knew one hundred percent what his answer would be. Should it be anything other then eating she would be surely shocked.
It was a strange thing though. Attending a wedding for poltergeists. What was to be stranger even yet was that the Sirens had been asked by Miffy to play at the wedding. She was a part of that. It was weird but certainly something to remember and with any luck it would help push the band up higher on the 'need to know' list. Someday they were going to make it big and this was just another step. Speaking of her band her eyes sought out the other members landing on Nat, sending her a huge grin and a nod of her head. She'd speak with her shortly. Right now a bit of food did sound good.
Her eyes moved back onto Frankie letting him decide what to do next.

Junia still had a dreamy look on her face as she made her way into the reception. The pretty music seemed to float on the air and the second year swayed as soon as she heard it. Her dress was perfect for twirling, y'know. That meant she'd want to dance as soon as food was had. SPEAKING of, what was that amazing smell? "I'd love a drink," She responded to the caretaker's offer with a big smile. Love. LOVE. Wasn't love wonderful? Sighhh.

Weddings were always beautiful, even if it was two Poltergeists getting married. Azura just hoped that things in the school would settle down a bit.. Ever since she had started school it has been either Miffy or Peeves causing trouble or the hag..
Perhaps now things around here would calm down a bit? Maybe?
She was hoping for a calm year next year. With it potentially being one of her last years at Hogwarts, surely a nice happy year wasn't too much to ask for, yeah?

As Beezley hurried to the reception, her little elfish mind filled with lots of concerns and worries. How did an elf act at a wedding reception? She had never been asked to serve at such a fine event! Was she supposed to be proper acting like all the guests surely would be? Or was she supposed to be her normal, little elfish self?
In the end, she decided to go with her normal, little elfish self! After all, she was here to serve, and serve she would do! "Can Beezley help someone? Can Beezley get the Misters and Mistresses and studentsies anything?" she asked, stepping foot into the room and looking around with large eyes. "Beezley will help you, yes, she will!"

To say that Kitty had mixed feelings about this wedding would be a massive understatement. On the one hand her love for all things romantic compelled her to come, and to be happy for her archenemies at their marriage. Yes, she may have strongly disliked the couple, but even she thought it was a good thing they were getting married. Plus, she was still pleased with her own role in this, in being the first person to hear that the marriage was going to happen - and then rushing off to tell Miffy.
On the other hand, she wasn't at all certain that the food and drink would be safe for consumption, and who knew what kind of tricks Miffy and Peeves may play with everything gathered? Sue, they promised not to cause trouble, but right after that promise Peeves had assaulted them in Divination. So she took that promise with a grain of salt. Once before Kitty had been poisoned by Miffy - during Potions two and a half years ago, and she was not eager to repeat the experience.
But either way she had to come. For one thing Kitty was naturally curious, and she had never been to a wedding before. Secondly, if there was trouble then she would be obligated to help since she was Ravenclaw prefect. So far things had gone smoothly with the ceremony in the Great Hall, hopefully everything else would go smoothly too.
Kitty was wearing her usual Gothic outfit: Black cape, turtleneck, flashy boots, and lots or eyeliner. She turned to Beezley the house elf. "Hello Beezley," she said with a smile. "If there is any drink that Peeves and Miffy haven't been around, then I'd be very happy to have some of it - thank you."
"Hello Azura!" Kitty waved at her fellow Ravenclaw friend.

Kay edged towards Laurel and Jordan the moment she saw them. She didn't think that the students would want to bother with the older folks when they had their own friends though she certainly was down for chatting with any of them.

Sir Nicholas was mighty chuffed to have seen the two Poltergeists become united as husband and wife. He floated through the entrance of the Room of Requirement. The ruff he had chosen today was so large that if his spectral body was still capable of sneezing, his head would not have even wobbled. "Hello everyone, splendid day for a wedding, isn't it?" he said as he floated past people. He stopped when he saw Miffy, the bride. "Congratulations Miffy," he said.

Soooooo this was interesting.
Rosalyn had never been to a poltergeist wedding, but there was a first time for everything. Weddings COULD be rather beautiful even if she currently had no intentions of tying the knot. For one thing she had no idea who she would even marry... At least she was happy for the couple? Kind of at least.
Spotting a few of her coworkers, she made a beeline towards them. The students probably wanted to converse with each other instead of with the Professors, though she was always happy to talk to them. "Hello," Rosalyn told them with a smile. "Nice reception, isn't it? The middle ages is quite a nice theme." In her opinion at least, but then she DID teach history. | |

Art had tried to dress up as best as he could. He got out of his usual dad-jeans, and big woolen cardigans, and swapped it for an old suit he had for interviews and things. He had to make a few adjustments, being that his legs and arms were getting skinnier, and his tummy a bit rounder, but it fit. It worked. The black pants, and jacket, a white shirt, and a red tie. He tried to sneak a little bit of Gryffindor into it.
One way or another he hadn't been fussed about the marriage of Peeves and Miffy, but he was of the opinion that as long as they stopped the pranks then it was okay by him. If they were to re-start pranking, then he would not be happy at all. But, he was optimistic.
"Hello, hello," he said, giving waves, and smiles to everyone.
