Situated beside Professor Newton's office is a room that has been charmed to look like a cozy muggle attic. It is in here that students will find a wide variety of books that cover wizarding history. Volumes range from very old to brand new and their purpose is to help with assignments. Desks are scattered throughout so that students can work there. Anyone is welcome so long as they remain civil and take good care of the source material. In the back there is a little art station that contains any such materials that could be needed for projects that she assigns from time to time. This ranges from paint to felt as well as anything else that fits artistic needs. | |

"I always did trust you." Right up until he did what he did anyways. It wasn't about her trusting him. She trusted all her friends. And people in general. Probably too much. More than she should. That was why he'd been able to hurt her in the first place.
He bet what now? Char didn't think so. Nope. Not at all. And she was about to tell him so. She didn't quite roll her eyes, but it was clear she didn't think much of that comment.
"I doubt that." Charlotte held her head high. She wasn't going to touch the rebound thing. "Your kisses don't have any power over me anymore, Rooney Bronwyn."
She was sure of it.

When she looked at him like that he got a little funny spin in his tummy and wanted ever so much to stare her down, but instead...he looked at her legs and grinned. Might as well observe and appreciate if he wasn't getting anywhere with his charm. But oh how he had wanted it to work on her, just to put his mind at ease that he want a broken Rooney and that he was still the same person as he had been before. Right now he was just a boy, leaning in front of a girl and waiting for her to fall weak at the knees so he could save her. Or something along the lines of letting him be the hero here
His hair had heroic qualities too.
He shrugged. "Then you won't mind if I kiss you."

And Rooney didn't deserve any more of her tears, especially not if he wouldn't even acknowledge what exactly he was apologizing for. "I want to be friends again." That was all..... right? He would definitely break her heart again otherwise. And besides, she was getting kisses elsewhere and they were the best kisses ever and she didn't NEED A Rooney kiss, which were the most confusing kind of kisses to Gryffindor blondes. Rooney rocked back and forth on his heels and shrugged. "You're important to me. Well, you were. And I want you to still be." There was a reason that he had been so insistent that she needed to be his first kiss and why he let her get away with her sowing kissing seeds for so long. Because he needed to have been who she came back to. But...he'd messed that up long ago. Right now, that wasn't a huge problem for him because he was just darn trying to get the girl to forgive him and let him kiss her.
All that letting was effort.
He also was wondering why she hadn't left yet, especially now that he'd moved enough for her to get the door open and get out. But he took it as her actually not wanting to leave and her actually wanting him to kiss her. So he inched closer, deciding that this was more than enough 'letting' for him to do so. "You'll always be the first girl I kissed, Miss Charlotte Hannah Kettleburn." And whether she liked it or not, he was always going to be her first proper kiss too. Roo ducked his head sideways to plant a kiss on her cheek, testing the waters and hovered just before her face with a grin.

"It would be nice if you started acting like it again." Because you didn't hurt people that were important to you, or disbelieve them when they hadn't done anything wrong. But she REALLY wanted to be friends again too and she'd forgiven Blaise, why not Rooney as well? He was worth getting a chance right? That was why she had written to his mother during the summer because she still cared. But she really wished he would trust her and believe her and not make up things in his head. Maybe he could learn?
"I know that." Sigh. She KNEW okay? But apparently that hadn't been enough. And now he was being all confusing and unexpected with his timing and-- Char's eyes widened and she froze when he kissed her cheek. She glanced at him, turning her face only the slightest bit so she could see him. Why was he grinning like that? WHY WAS ROONEY BRONWYN SO CONFUSING?
"....I don't think that's a good idea." A hug though.... that would be an okay idea, right? They could be friends again? Hugs were a good place to start? But kisses... he would probably end up making her cry again.
"It wouldn't be smart of me to let you." She whispered, trying not to notice that it felt different being near him now that she was taller in comparison to him than what she had been before.

Together with his life, Rooney was completely confused by everything right now. He had said that he wouldn't kiss her, but he wanted to. He really wanted to get his face against hers and not kiss her nose or blow a raspberry on her face. Rooney wanted to kiss Charlotte and he wanted to kiss Charlotte right now. Right. Now. But she was going on about how it wasn't smart of her and he wanted to make a comment about how she wasn't a Ravenclaw, and stereotypically, smart was them. He didn't though, because he knew that Charlotte Kettleburn smashed every stereotype into smithereens and then some. Because she was magnificent.
And because she was still the prettiest girl in the school. No doubt.
"Let's take a day off being smart.."

But he couldn't be positive that it was, so Rooney held off for a moment and watched her closely. "I think taking time off is good.." And he really enjoyed the odd feeling in his stomach that he used to feel with her. The butterflies. Or maybe he was a little windy. Similar feelings, really they were. But he reallllllllly wanted to kiss her..
And so he did, but only after sneaking a hand to hold hers and then used his other to tuck her hair behind her ear. Always the touchy feely kind, honestly. Always, always. Oh. Her hand.
He was holding it. And her stomach was doing backflips of confusion and memory and the next thing she knew there was a Rooney kiss happening. On HER mouth. And it was like her mouth remembered how to kiss Rooney's because it was kissing him back.
And then her brain caught up and she pulled back.

Um.
"I have to go."

When it was over, Rooney took a small step back so he could get a proper look at her and smiled his typical lopsided post-kiss smile. The goofy one that girls took as him being embarrassed, but nothing was embarrassing about this. "You want to. You don't have to.." She didn't have to do anything. Except kiss him again later.

"I'm not sure what I'm doing or whether I should be apologising for that." But he doubted that he'd want to apologise for something else after all of the sorry words he'd been putting out there already today.
"Promise I'm sorry. Promise I want to be friends again." And promise that he did not want her to walk out of that door and leave him to think about the fact he had only an hour ago been obsessed with the idea of kissing Liv.
This was bad.
He was dead.
