The finest china and silverware is set on the table for this end of term feast. Although there's no food yet, wonderful smells are emanating from the kitchens, enough to make your mouth water in anticipation.
Have a seat as we wait for the Headmaster to give his speech, but make sure you take the time to swap summer plans and say goodbye to the departing seventh years. No tears... that's what the train is for!
Katerina was both excited and sad, at the time tonight. One thing, her and Cornelius were going on a real date, over the summer. She was still a bit confused about what they were but it was okay, she was going on a date. But Paige was graduating, which was sad. She would have to find her later, or she maybe she could save her a seat right beside her.
And try not to cry....
She was the first one at the Hufflepuff table great for her. She found a seat right in the middle, seeing Olivia and Charlotte sitting at the Lion she waved excitedly and grinned at both of them, and who at the staff table was here yet. Hirsch, Stewart, and the other professors well they got a grin and a wave too.
Come on Hufflepuffs where are you?

Miranda made her way over to the Hufflepuff table and took a seat. She looked around and see very many people at their particular table and wondered if her best friend would be joining her or not... Not that she was in a fantastic mood or anything.. Sure she'd done well enough on her exams but.. The problem was the punishment that was waiting for her when she got home... The last thing her mum had said in the howler she'd received told her not to make any plans for the summer with friends.. So gloomily she sat and waited for the inevitable to ensue...

He was still moping around. He also wasn't looking forward to joining the feast at the Hufflepuff table. He was glad that his best friend was there but his crazy ex-girlfriend would be there. He didn't want to refer to Miranda as crazy, even just as a thought but when she broke up with his he didn't know who the person in front of him was. The person looked like Miranda but she wasn't even close to acting like Miranda.
Brady took in a deep breath and let it out slowly as he made his way into the Great Hall. This was going to end well, was it? He should have listened to his Uncle Julian about not dating someone in the same house as him but he wasn't told that until after the break up had happened. The third year looked around at the other tables and then his blue-green eyes rested upon the Hufflepuff table. He saw Miranda but looked away from her because of the pain she caused him. His eyes stayed upon the table until he found his best friend.
He made his way over towards Kat and sat down next to her. "Hey." the Scottish teenager said in somewhat of a mono-toned voice. He looked around at the rest of the table, so there were just the three of them here. Fun. Totally fun.

Randa rolled her eyes as Brady walked by and sat at the other end of the table near Katerina.. No big surprise there.. They were best friends and she was his ex so how awkward would that have been had he sat near her... She was thankful for the extra space to be honest..
Afterall, it wasn't as though she disliked him at all.. In fact the opposite was more like it.. But she couldn't get past the betrayal she felt at what he had done.. Never in a million years would she have ever expected him to do what he did.. And it broke her heart the moment that howler found it's way to her..The moment she had opened it she had decided that it was far better to stay single and unattached.. That way there wasn't any excuse for her to not focus on what was important.. And that was school and her goal of training to be an animagus...
So... there she sat alone and bored.. She looked around at the other table's and saw her friend Natalia and gave her a quick wave....
Henry was actually pretty excited to be going home for the summer. He had plenty of plans and was determined to make this one the best summer yet! Once he had finished all his packing, the fifteen year old headed to the Great Hall for one last feast before heading home.
Making his way to the Hufflepuff table, Henry slid into a seat at the middle of the table where some of his friends were already there. He figured that'd be the most convenient spot to make sure he spoke to all his badger friends that night before they parted ways for a couple months, even if he was sure he'd see many of them over summer.
"Hey, guys!" he greeted Kat, Brady, and Miranda with a grin. "How's it going? Ready for summer?" He sure was. Know what else he was ready for? Food. He was hungry and ready to eat.

Miranda smiled as Henry sat down near her and spoke to her and the others at the table.. She always liked him he'd always been one to lend a helping hand in class or anywhere else for that matter...
" Hey, Henry.. I'm doing better actually.. Now that school's over.. I was hoping to get to the park and to the pitch and get a few games going and such... What about you?... any plans besides quidditch this summer? "
Katerina wasn't alone long before Miranda showed up. "Hey Miranda, Are you ready for summer?" She was glad to see her. Giving her a wave. Sure Brady and Miranda were broke up, and while they were boyfriend and girlfriend Kat had became friends with Miranda. She hoped that the break up would not effect their friendship. She really did like her. But she didn't fully know why the break up happened. All she did know was her best friend was completely heartbroken and she didn't know what to do and she still wanted to be Miranda's friend as well.
Sigh She did not like being in the middle of this. '
Then Brady showed up. As glad as she was to see him, she might have been trying to avoid him. Between his break up and her date with Cornelius, which Brady was probably not going to be happy about. Brady was going to kill her she was sure of it. But she didn't care. She hadn't told Brady yet so yeah she wasn't going to tell him, not yet anyway.
"Hey, Can you believe that our third year is over?" Giving her best friend, well one of her best friends, sorry Brady she had more than one of those now. Speaking of her other best friends, where was Hattie, her blue eyes scanning across the room and their table. Maybe Hattie was sitting at the lion table with her brother since he was a 7th year and it was his last feast. She turned to look at the Slytherin table for Katty and of course Cornelius. hehehe Not seeing either one, but she did see Nat, and Hugo. Her brother and Dante. She was really going to miss these 7th years. Even Brooklyn even though she was mean to her in charms class her first year.
At least some one else showed up before, Brady and Miranda start some kind of fight or something, or Some really awkward silence moments."Hey Henry, I'm so ready for summer. Can I come to another match this summer?" Thank for showing up to the table when you did. Henry saved the day, no surprise there. The boy was basically a prince charming in her eyes. Just like Cornelius. Girl might be just a little obsessed. Where was Benny? He was normally always right behind him or with Cassie. She wondered if Tory had made it to his table.
Anyway, now Kat was starting to get really hungry. Where's the speech? She was ready to eat and for summer to officially start!

Silas was ready for summer! There were so many things to do on his list, he anticipated this day ever since exams week over. He just couldn't wait to get on a train back to London! Merlin, when would this day end?! His grandmother wished to see him before his departure too. And once he was back in Italy, he was going to start training vigorously for his spot in the big leagues. There he was sitting among his fellow puffs, listening to them conversing with one another on their summer plans when he heard it. Hmm, what was that giggling sound? Silas looked around for the source. "Do you guys hear that?"
Hugo usually didn't visited other house tables but since it was his last feast at Hogwarts he thought it was fair enough to break the tradition. And also, there was a certain Hufflepuff he wanted to see. Someone who most likely would turn his eyes into buttons.
But there was not sight of her. Yet.
He heard some giggles that came out of nowhere, just like that time he was in the fifth floor and nobody was there except for Brooklyn and him but he was pretty sure Brooklyn didn't giggle. He looked at Silas, "Yeah, I have heard them before"
Well, that was a sign that something was going to happen during the feast. As always.

Silas turned his head around when the Slytherin prefect came over to his table. Oh how nice of him to visit. Wasn't this Hugo's last school term here? He wouldn't be able to see the prefect next term too. How unfortunate. Silas wondered what he would be doing next term? University? "You do? What do you think it is?" he asked. "Miffy? Or Peeves?" Please not be those two troublemakers again. The whole school had had enough of them meddling around.

There it was again and again and again! But do you see anything? Whatever in the world was making those giggling sounds?
Miranda heard someone talking to her and turned to see Kat had asked her about summer and such and she smiled... Thank Merlin she wasn't mad at her for having broken up with her best guy friend... At the time she thought that that was the only way to avoid being forced to end it with him.. Sure she had told him that she was being made to.. And yes her mother had mentioned to her several times that she was far too young to be dating and her sole focus at her age was supposed to be her studies... The truth was she still had insanely strong feelings for him and that wasn't going to change...
" Hey, Kat.. Yeah after I'm off punsihment I've got tons planned.. What about you?" , She asked as she slid a bit closer to Her and Brady.. She was hoping that maybe Brady would still speak with her.. Even though she knew he had every reason not to after she flipped out on him.. Her heart ached as she looked at him for a brief moment. So much so that she had to look away for fear of tears forming..
Just as she looked away from them she heard an odd noise.. Well, not too odd just .. A strange giggle floated through the air around them from above.. She turned her eyes toward the bewitched ceiling and looked for the source of the sound...
" What the heck was that?.. " She asked as she looked over at Katerina.

Making her way finally to her house table after her rather lengthy stay at the Seventh Year Memory Book, Paige once again found herself feeling things she had not expected herself too. She had imagined that this moment would feel like her shoes were made of lead as her legs dragged herself to the bench she had had three square meals on everyday during the school year - mostly - for the past seven terms. That the air would feel heavy knowing that this was her last night as a Hogwarts student and that come tomorrow it was the final train ride aboard the Hogwarts Express. She had expected her heart to be pounding so fiercely that it drowned out the buzz of chit chat in the Great Hall. There had been a lot of expectations...and once again reality had proven to be entirely different.
Truth was that Paige felt like a feather-light charm had been cast upon her and her heart uplifted at the prospect of tomorrow. Parts of her would remain here, whether is the unfortunate consequences of spell damage or the memory of others, but the majority of her - her heart and her mind - had left long ago...and one of the biggest reasons for that waiting for her at King's Cross tomorrow, as a certain delivery of sunflowers had reminded her.
Smiling to those already seated at the Hufflepuff table - many of whom she needed to give her proper farewells to - Paige was just about to slide into her usual spot when a set of green robes caught her attention.

"Hugo?" she blinked, a bit surprised to see him over here at the badger table rather than with his snakes. Although he need not be concerned about button eyes this evening. "Congratulations. On graduating I mean."

Merlin help her if her end of term feast was ruined like the start of term feast, even if the symbolic bookending of things being a disaster was somewhat poetic. Hadn't that fiasco been more than enough? Not to mention everything else the poltergeists had thrust upon them this term.
"It doesn't sound particularly like either of them," Paige muttered in response to Hugo and Silas. Having been subjected to their laughters far too often over the recent terms she thought so at least.

He had been working with her closely the past few terms to prepare her for her future. He was her head of house, and so they'd been meeting about career nonsense and...all of that stuff recently, too.
And he would miss Miss Skeeter very much. Such compassion, such...kindness, he would miss how much he seemed to learn from her every day that he got to experience...her.
"Miss Skeeter," he said gently as he approached, clearing his throat a great deal and blink a lot. He held out the flower. "For you." Whatever weird giggling NONSENSE had just happened, Paul had missed it. "I..." he didn't really want to say anything lest he blubber like a newborn, so he closed his mouth. "Here."

Reaching under the Ravenclaw table, Rooney pulled out the large balloons he had blown up and stored under there this morning. Ready, ready, ready! He took his wand to the batch of them and levitated them up towards the ceiling of the Great Hall. The green banners were just being joined by a WHOLE bunch of brightly coloured balloons, stuffed with pink somethings or other. Ooooooh what could it BE?
As soon as they were at the perfect height, Rooney popped each and every one of them with a firecracker spell.
POP!
POP!
POP!!!!
And down upon the tables scattered pink confetti, all adorned in handwritten love notes to his ONE AND ONLY LOVE, OLIVIA LYNN PHILLIPS. Many were just their initials in hearts, others had lovely quotes from characters that reminded him of the Gryffindor and others were completely laden is SICKLY love messages.
Well, my friend that was a good question which Hugo didn't had an answer for it. He shrugged, "No clue" but he suspected it could be Peeves rather than an elf. "Maybe it is just a warning of what is about to happen" that sounded fair enough to him considering that almost every feast was crashed by unexpected situations. He was going to miss those.
Then, Paige joined them. He turned around to see her "Paige!" a smile grew on his lips "Thanks. Congrats to you too" she was leaving as well "How are you? What are you gonna do in the summer?" what about paying a visit to Thornton? Brows to that. He could help AND demand his duel.

Smiling at Hugo as she settled properly into her seat, she couldn't help but elicit a small giggle at the first thought that came to mind in response to his question. "Ready," she sighed contently, giving the Great Hall a look over and allowing her gaze to fall on the enchanted ceiling for a time. "More so than I ever imagined I would be...if that makes any sense." She could not speak for her fellow seventh years, but she sincerely hoped they were all ready as well. They had all outgrown this place and needed more space for their roots expand. "Getting ready for university mostly...likely do some volunteering at St. Mungo's when I can manage," she nodded, cheeks flushing when her thoughts drifted to the other benefits the summer would provide. "Also attending a big WADA music festival. My boyfriend says there are loads of great student performances. You should check it out if you are in London that weekend."

MAKE IT POP LIKE PINK CONFETTI.
MAKE IT RAIIIIIIIIIIIN.
Just as she was about to ask Hugo about his summer plans, there came a loud POPPING noise from above. Already a little on edge from the giggling earlier, Paige jumped where she sat and banged her knees hard on the underside of the table.
"PEEVES! MIFFY! IF YOU'VE..." she started, glaring upwards towards the source of the popping - and we all know what happens when one assumes - the Hufflepuff was pleasantly surprised when she saw not two poltergeists but a shower of pink.
She did not yet see what their purpose was, but would take picking the bits of paper out of her hair over her initial thoughts any day of the week.

Standing up to brush some of the falling pink confetti from her robes, Paige peeked over her shoulder when her Head of House made his appearance and, yes, felt his presence conduct her hear a bit - definitely towards those feelings she assumed she would be having this night. "Good evening, professor," she greeted with a smile, eyes crossing briefly when he presented her with a flower. Right, of course. The Herbology professor's tradition. Cheeks flushing a bit, she accepted the flower and gently caressed it's petals before throwing her arms around the man. "Thank you for everything, Professor Myers..."
Because it was a rather lengthy list.

Storm finally appeared himself to the Hogwartians, floating happily with some water balloons on his hand. OOOOOOHHHH YESSSSSS!!!
He casually dropped one of them above the Slytherin prefect's head, then a Hufflepuff girl (Paige), and also the Hufflepuff Head of House.
"OOPS???"
Storm even didn't introduce himself, he is that rude.
She was no Magdelena Traulton and therefore cared not that he hair was wet, but that did not stop Paige's body from going a bit rigid as she hugged her Head of House. Any lingering bits of pink confetti were now stuck to her robes and surrounding area, the ink on them smudged and smeared from the water, and she was once again a very displeased Hufflepuff.
First the toast to the late Headmaster Botros and the aftermath of all that at the start of term feast, then the knives and seeds incident in the kitchen, everything else she had avoided herself but naturally heard through the rumor mill that was Hogwarts (because naturally the whole school knew about nearly everything), and now...water balloons at the end of term feast.
............oops her foot.
At least the Headmaster hadn't had his speech interrupted?
Taking a step back from the Herbology professor, Paige quietly and calmly removed her wand from her robes pocket and pointed it at herself to administer a Drying Charm there without so much as looking up at the culprit.
Had she mentioned how ready she was to leave and move on?

Silas agreed with Hugo and Paige, something was going to come up unexpectedly and they better be ready for it. "Not a good sign." He turned around when he heard multiple pop sounds startled him. What the...? Oh it was just Bronwyn with his over the top gesture to surprise his girlfriend. Cute. Amused, he brushed the leftover pink confetti off his shoulder.
For a moment, Silas decided to put his concern thoughts aside and smiled in greeting towards his house professor. "Hello, professor...I hope you'll have a wonderful summer." He watched his professor gave Paige a flower and it nice of him to do so. Silas wanted to give a parting gift too. As he was about to talk to her when water balloons started to drop and splash on top of their heads. He quickly looked up and pointed his wand at the poltergeist. "Hey that wasn't nice!"
Silas pointed his wand towards the professor and helped dry his clothes before doing the same for Hugo. He looked back at Paige, "Paige ...are you okay...?" He was concerned for her.

Brian, as always, was just a little bit late. Unfortunately, he was neither late enough to miss the Headmaster's speech which he found a little too sappy and aggravating to be even remotely appealing to the population he was leaving behind nor was he late enough to miss the water balloon being dropped on Paige.
Jaw clenching, he took his seat by his best friend, taking extra care not to be on the side facing the Gryffindor table as he did. Pressing his knuckles against closed eyelids, he let out a sharp breath. There were things he did not want to deal with, and now that summer was beginning, he would be able to properly avoid being reminded of them. Nevermind that the person he was trying to avoid appeared to be skipping the feast. He just plain did not want to know. The less of that he saw the better for his equilibrium.

Hadleigh was making her rounds. Not her Head Girl rounds, of course, but her rounds from table to table. So it was expected that she would stop at the Hufflepuff table. A table she hadn't stepped foot at since the end of year feast several terms earlier...one that had her big brother moving on and leaving her behind. Now it was her that was moving forward and stepping out into the wide world before her.
Letting out a soft sigh and casually tucking a lock of hair behind her ear she approached the table quietly. Bright hazel eyes moved over each person there in turn giving them all a small smile. At the moment words weren't coming to her but she was here for the moment.
The pink confetti hearts and balloon bits there were everywhere didn't go unnoticed nor did the very wet Paige. Normally she would have offered to help the girl out but it seemed that her fellow seventh year had it under control with a hot-air charm. Seeing as she was busy with that she would leave the girl to it simply giving her a small smile as well.

Philipe came in, running a tad behind. He'd just finished packing all of his things and getting ready to go home was the one bright light in his world right now. He didn't have his mother any longer, and his father tended to ignore him and his siblings, but at least he was finally going to be able to see his girlfriend again! That was where he planned on spending his summer at. Just spending the time with her and just falling more in love and all that fun sappy stuff.
But now was for a later date. The fifth year blinked seeing his fellow students covered in pink strings and a couple of them wet as well. So... What exactly had he missed? He picked a spot a little closer to the other Hufflepuff's than he normally would and actually offered a small smile.

Alfred was doing his ghostly gliding towards the badger table in serene peace, the utmost of tranquility, when he heard giggling coming from every which way, and to make matters worse, there was....new....entity.
Right there.
Just...........right there.
Alfred blinked. "Oh my," he commented under his breath, but he needed to look his cheeriest for those graduating! So he slapped on a smile.
Summer plans. Sure, Henry had plenty of them and he nodded as he listened to both Miranda and Kat talk about summer. "Oh, sure. You both should come to a game," he grinned. He really loved it when his friends came to cheer him on. He truly could not wait to start playing again. "I'll probably be spending some time at the beach and doing some MMA stuff too, with Remy. And who knows what else, but I'm sure I'll find something to do." Summer was rarely boring. "And I'm hoping we'll go on a summer vacation this year." His mom did hint at it in her last owl, but nothing was said specifically so he could only wonder.
Henry might have heard some giggling earlier, but he really didn't give it much thought when others questioned it. Girls giggled all the time, and sometimes boys did too, plus it was kind of loud in the Great Hall being the feast. Shrugging, he looked up at the staff table and turned his attention to the Headmaster as he made his speech. Wait... he wasn't returning? Henry didn't know the man all that well, even if he had led the school for a couple years now, so he didn't have too much opinion on that, but it did make him wonder about who would be taking his place. There seemed to be way too much leadership change at school, and it did not always sit well with him.
But no need to think about that now because the food was finally here! Heartily digging in, he soon paused as a blast of confetti rained down on him and his plate of food. What... what was that about? The fifteen year old looked around a bit in slight confusion before picking a love note out of his mashed potatoes. That seemed a little over the top, but he wasn't one to judge, so good for them. He was just more concerned with getting the little bits of paper out of his food so he could eat.
And maybe Henry should have been more concerned with the giggling considering there was now... another? poltergeist here now? He blinked at the sudden appearance and the dropping of water balloons on Paige and Professor Paul. Wow... three poltergeists. Well. At least Paige was drying herself off now, but he'd need to make it a point to say goodbye to the graduating seventh year. "Hey, good luck, Paige," he said with a grin as he moved a little closer to her. "We'll miss you in Hufflepuff." It was kind of sad to think of some not returning, but it was probably exciting for them too.
