Paul had set up the portable dome greenhouse outside of the Hogwarts Greenhouses. The students absolutely could NOT miss it, and on top of that, he had given them notice that they had a lesson in the dome today. It had been here for a few days, now, though. Curious, really.
Upon entering the greenhouse, students would find it be stifling hot. Paul, dressed in a t-shirt and jeans along with running shoes, waited for his students with sweat beading down the back of his neck. But really, the climate in here had to be hot. He had warned them to dress comfortably for this lesson! He hoped no one wore a robe...they'd be dying! Positively dying!
Inside the greenhouse, there is a walkway where he students can sit, and on either side of the wide walkway are two different types of flowers.
On one side, there are these flowers:
A sign is posted in the dirt with the words 'SPECIMEN A.' These black flowers that resemble roses grow in bushes, much like roses do. They do not have thorns, though, and the petals and the stems of the flowers are all black in color. They do not have a smell, and their petals, as the students can see, smolder, producing an orange color emitting from the petals. Ashes fall from the petals every so often as the petals smolder lightly. The flowers crackle like the end of a campfire. The soil surrounding the flowers has turned a blackened color, indecipherable from the ash falling from the petals. Odd little flowers, aren't they? As the an enormous cloud covers the sun, the blossom part of the flower close up slight, and the smoldering lessons.
On the other side are these flowers:
A sign is posted in the dirt with the words, 'SPECIMEN B.' These are regular rose colors: reds, pinks, and whites. They are very visibly on fire; however, only the blossom of the flower is burning. The stem of these flowers are the normal green and are covered in thorns. These flowers give off a light rose scent, and the flames create a light whipping sound, almost like wind. Very light, though, hardly above a whisper. The soil surrounding these bushes of flowers is brown, the normal color of soil. As a cloud covers the sun, these flowers remain enflamed. The heat emitting from the flowers is...stifling. Good luck, students.
As students entered the Greenhouse, Paul pointed at board. "Come in and take your time to peek around the two different types of flowers, please. Once you have...explored them--please don't burn yourself all right? There is REAL fire--I would like you write ONE thing on the board--either under the similarities column OR under one of the two specimens. JUST ONE THING PELASE on what you observe about the flowers. I have buckets of iced bottle water if anyone feels the heat is too much!" Paul coughed a little, eyeing the enflamed flowers a bit.
OOC: Hello everyone! Welcome to Herbology Lesson II! Come on in, have your character look around if they so want, and if they do write on the board, make sure it is only ONE thing or Paul will fuss xD I'm probably gonna be moving on in about 24 hours or more!
Miranda madee her way down to her herbology lesson.. From what the notice posted said, class would be held in the greenhouse dome thingy... And it had also mentioned dressing for comfort... Comfort?... this she took as being able to wear some muggle clothes so she had her favorite tshirt and faded skinny jeans on along with her favorite hoody... The one her too cute boyfriend had given her...
As she entered the domed greenhouse she was hit with a wave of humidity and heat.... " Holy Merlin's monkey it's hot in here!" , she exclaimed before greeting her professor, " Good morning , Sir... Good to see you .. I see now why we were told to come dressed down today... "
This was one of her most liked classes.. Certainly not her best subject, but far from being her worst too...She was super excited to see what they'd be covering during today's lesson.. this was always a very interesting and informative class... o.. after peeling her hoody off and stuffing it into her bag she found a place to sit and wait.. With any luck she'd get to talk to one of her friends before the class started....
Walking quick toward the lesson Leesha shivered, it was still cold outside but she knew that the lesson was going to be hot, reaaaaly hot so she wore only a purple shirt with a pink unicorn printed on it. Walking quick to stay warm she entered the portable dome and with relief she relaxed, it was indeed really hot inside the classroom! “Hello professor” said Leesha friendly while looking up at the teacher. “Thanks for the notice, I wouldn’t have wanted to be here in my official school uniform” she said honestly while looking around her.
More student’s entered so she decided to search for a place to sit buuut where? She became distracted by the two different flowers, they were beautiful but strange altogether and she stopped beside each of them to read their descriptions. They were BURNING! Ha! A fire flower, that was something she liked. Fire and flowers, a perfect combination! Curious and suddenly VERY excited about this lesson she walked back to the board and wrote something down:
Similarities: ’They’re burning’ she wrote still smiling. Then, when she was done, she finally searched for a place to put her schoolbag before walking back again toward the flowers. She stopped before the burning roses and she watched them again and a few minutes later she walked toward the other flowers, watching them burn. This lesson was going to be really cool she decided!

Harvey walked into their class, and gasped from the heat. Thank goodness he wasn't wearing much. This was awful!
He had never been a big fan of overheating. "Hi, Professor," he managed, hot air filling his throat. Great.
Walking in further, stifling a sigh, he looked at the flowers. Roses. No, wait, flowers which only... seemed to be roses. Hmm. And not all of them smelled... Harvey liked roses. Or how they smelled, anyway. Though he liked that they had thorns - he'd tricked his sisters into pricking their fingers more than once in the past.
"Only the burning flowers give of the smell of roses. Why is that, Professor?" he asked, curious, as he wrote his observation on the board.
After a few minutes Miranda noticed that another girl who had just arrived was walking around and looking at everything.... so, she scanned the greenhouse and right next to the professor was a sign ... She wondered how she could have missed it when she first arrived but then again the heatwave that hit her at the door had been distracting to say the least.
Okay so she had to look around and compare the flowers.... Mkay.. And write a similarity on the board?... UGH! ... Fine...
Randa stood up and began to examine the two types of flowers... She definitely liked the way the first one smoldered slowly with a growing and fading glow it emitted.. It's heat steady and strong.. This was by far the coolest flower she'd ever seen.. Exhibit B was quite different she thought... It's flames were very pronounced and the heat was nearly unbearable.. However.. they both threw off quite a bit of heat.. Maybe their plants were related in some way.. That'd be pretty nifty..
after studying them for a bit she went up to the board and wrote in the similarities column:
Both of these specimens throw off heatand their glows grow and wane...

Azura was certainly glad she had worn her comfortable clothes today, because as soon as she entered the domed greenhouse, (which was amazing by the way, Professor,) the purple eyed girl felt a wave of heat hit her almost like a slap in the face.
Holy Blazing Fwoopers!
Azura instantly reached up and pulled her long hair into a messy bun so the mass was off her neck. Her blue t-shirt and jeans already felt too hot, and she rolled up the legs of her jeans a bit as she walked into the greenhouse..
"Hello Professor Meyers." She said with a warm smile as she looked around and saw..
The roses were burning! No.. Why?? Why were they burning.. Ohh..
They were meant to be burning. Azura placed a hand on her chest as she looked at the two specimens of roses.. She was drawn to the smoldering rose though and after observing it for a moment, she moved up to the board and wrote something down on the Speciman A side:
"Seems to react to the sunlight."
She put the pen down and then headed to find a seat somewhere.

So the notice had said to wear casual, comfortable clothing instead of their uniform, and Rula was definitely going to follow that. The uniforms didn't seem practical for a class like Herbology anyway, in her opinion. So she'd picked out a simple t-shirt, one of her favorite pairs of sweatpants, her sneakers, and a coat along with a warming charm to keep warm as she walked to class. Her hair was also pulled back into a ponytail as it usually was for Herbology lessons.
She was definitely NOT expecting the WAVE OF HEAT that smacked her right in the face when she entered the portable greenhouse. Sweet. MERLIN. Instantly her wand was out to Finite the warming charm, and then she pulled off her coat, using one of the sleeves to fan herself as her eyes were finally drawn to one since of the greenhouse where there were rose on FIRE.
It was kind of pretty, Rula thought for a moment before deciding it'd be a smart idea to pull her hair further up into a bun. Seemed a better way to make sure the ends of her hair didn't fall into the fire or something.
As she did that, her eyes turned to the other side, where there were more roses, but they looked like they were already burnt. Still kind of pretty though? She couldn't really decide; the heat was KIND OF distracting.
Had she even said hello to Professor Myers? And there was stuff on the board? Um. Merlin. Okay. Focus.
"Hi, Professor," she said a little absently as she read the writing. Okay. Similarities or something about them. Well at least that sounded easy.

When Colt was going down to Herbology, he could not miss this lesson because the previous one was a lot of fun. He loved the bowling balls and the pumpkins. As he made his way to the grounds, he saw the lesson was around this big dome. He shrugged and thought all lessons needed to be secured. As he got to the door, he smelt something burning. He scrunched up his nose and wondered if the Professor knew his place was being burned down. He opened the door and got the full whiff of burnt flowers. Woaaahhhh. He coughed and said, "Professor your greenhouse is on fire.." he commented till he saw the culprit. He widened his eyes and made an O shape with his mouth. Now he understood. He smirked and shook his head. "Very clever.." he chuckled. He saw on the board he needed to write something on the board.
He went to look at the flowers first. He saw the black one and he was drawn to it. He moved his way over and he heard the sound like a campfire? He went to the board and wrote down in Specimen A.

He felt he did something good. He walked to his seat and was still admiring the flowers. He loved the flaming look.
When Kitty read the notice about dressing appropriately, she hadn't really taken it very seriously. Sure, she suspected it might be a little warm, but of all the students at Hogwarts Kitty was possibly the most attached to her wardrobe. So no, she didn't bring her robes - but she did bring a cape and black turtleneck.
And then she stepped into the burning inferno...
"Goo-good day professor," she managed to say as she stepped into the dome, at once overcome by a wave of heat. "Now I see what you mean about dressing comfortably. GAA!!" She felt herself becoming dizzy and she moved to sit down. It would be so, so embarrassing to faint right now before had even begun. After two minutes she decided she couldn't take it anymore and so the stubborn Goth removed her cape and turtleneck. Below she was wearing a black tank top. Okay. Much better.
Leaving her cape and turtleneck in the corner, Kitty went and examined the flowers. Both sets were stunningly beautiful. It was too bad she didn't have her camera with her or she would have taken pictures of both sets.
After examining them she went to write down this statement: SPECIMEN A ARE ALL BLACK FLOWERS, WHILE SPECIMEN B ARE A VARIETY OF ROSE COLORS.
Made of Awesome | Ern-la the Best-wa | TZ's Apogee
It was terribly hot in the greenhouse, and Katy felt like a puddle of goo from the very moment she stepped into the room the professor had set up for them. She was glad she'd pulled her hair up, or else it would be sticking to her like mad.
"Hullo, Professor. Nice flowers. Did you grow them yourself?" They were fascinating, actually, and she wanted to touch... but she didn't want to be burned. No trips to the Healer, thanks.
On the board, Katy added a line in the little shared blank, under 'Similarities': "Roses."
ThunderPUFF | Whoodley | MRD&LKD | Graphics Queen | Tristalen | Mrs. A | Hunny Bun
Juno walked into the dome greenhouse clad in shorts, a tank top, and sneaker boots. Hey they were still boots! It was sweltering in there, and she could see why. "Hello Professor Meyers!" She said with a glittering smile and a wave. Paul was awesome and only deserved the utmost respect.
Juno then read the instructions on the board and quietly observed the two types of flowers, coughing a little at the ashier one. That was one thing her lungs couldn't handle too much of, ash. When she finally decided on what she would write down...well she was going to be an overachiever.
She wrote under both specimens: Specimen A: No thorns Specimen B: Thorns
There. That should be good. Juno grabbed a water and sat on the specimen B side of the walkway, she didn't want to cough all through the lesson

Nat had seen the notice and she had seen where the lesson was taking place. As she entered one thing she wasn't prepared for was seeing her absolute favorite thing burning in front of her eyes. Roses, she had always loved roses. She'd walked past a flower store daily and look in to see all the roses and loved how pretty they were and now that she was here, well she had gotten them a few times. Tim was always good about surprising her with them on occasion and Roman...
She bit her lip as her eyes stayed on the flames. Where did the roses come from? She thought of her bush that Roman planted, but they weren't in season. It couldn't be from that bush. She wanted to take her wand and stop the flames, but she didn't. This was part of the class and she knew she couldn't get the flames out. Her eyes though couldn't leave those burning roses. "Professor, why would anyone want to set them on fire?" What was the purpose? Something so pure and beautiful shouldn't do this.
She soon realized she probably should have asked such a dumb question and took her seat a bit more clumsy then usual. She just really couldn't take her eyes off the burning.
As soon as Oliver walked into the huge, weird-looking (though really what's considered weird at Hogwarts?), he immediately felt like he was sweating. Whyyyy did the professor keep it so hot in here???? "Hello professor...um...I would say nice day today but it's too hot for anything to be nice right now." Luckily, Oliver had a t-shirt under his sweater, so he quickly pulled it off and stuffed it into his backpack, and tossed the bag down by a seat near the middle of the class.
And now, Ollie moved on to examining the flowers set up in the class, hoping it would take his mind off of this horrible heat. While up there, he spotted a Darc twin! He lightly bumped her and beamed. "Hey, Juno! I can actually tell it's you today." Now that he wasn't sick, he was able to tell that Juno was dressed much differently from how Esme normally dresses.
Moving on, as he walked around both flowers, he squinted his eyes and wondered why the roses that looked normal actualyl felt like they were on fire. He then looked up at the board and read through what everyone else wrote down to get an idea of what to write down. After about a minute, he finally decided.
Specimen A: Isn't smelly like regular roses
Then Ollie went over to where he left his bag, sat down, and took out the things he'd be needing for class.

The first thought Brooklyn had once she had gotten closer to the dome was that she was grateful for that trip to see dragons last term. At the very least, it had gotten her somewhat familiar with unexpected heat, although she still preferred avoiding it. There might have been the thought of turning back around and not attending the lesson, too, but she’d twisted her hair up onto the top of her head and off her neck just outside the entrance, slipping her sweater off and into her bag as well. At least then she’d hopefully not get too warm, but she’d eyed the flaming roses on one side of the greenhouse even so. She refused to get any closer to the flames than she had to, and therefore, after a polite smile toward Professor Myers, she had migrated over to the flowers on the other side of the room.
Returning up to the diagram after a moment, she wrote under the heading of Specimen A.

"Wow... it's hot in here." Bella said to herself as she walked into the dome greenhouse and where class was being held today. She was glad they were given a heads up not to wear their robes or she would have baked to death in all this heat.
"Hello Professor!" She greeted politely before being mesmerized by the two flowers on either side of the walk way. They were cool and the first time she's ever seen the likes them. So, they had to write something different or similar between the two which wasn't too hard. Bella walked closer to the board and read through what was already written before writing under Specimen B:

Hadleigh had taken notice to the dome that had been put up days earlier during her early morning runs. It wasn't at all like it had been hard to miss. Each passing day she had grown more curious about it but today was that day that she would be entering inside for her lesson to find out.
The second she stepped inside the dome greenhouse the seventh year was engulfed by heat. It was stifling inside here nearly to the point of making one pass out. Now she was ever more grateful that she had simply worn black jeans, t-shirt and sneakers, her hair tied back into a braid. Could she walk back outside into the cold again please?
Moving along the little path Hady stopped long enough to examine both specimen of flowers. The flames, the heat, the crackling sound like a campfire or the soft noise like the wind...it was stunning. Both were simply captivating. Her attention was drawn to both neither more then the other and she had to pull herself away to write something on the diagram.

Needing to wear her robes and bundle up to survive the cold from the castle down to Herbology, Paige felt like she had been smacked with a brick wall of heat when she stepped into the dome. Ah...so THAT was why they were to dress comfortably...and she thought she had followed instructions, but she had certainly not been entirely prepared for this seeing as she had not even worn her summer uniform underneath her robes. She was going to need to roll up her sleeves and loosen her tie to survive this lesson, clearly.
"Good day, professor," Paige greeted with a bit of an exasperated tone as her lungs attempted to adjust to the polar opposite types of air she was breathing. Going from winter to...this was rather strenuous on a person, you know?
Slipping off her robes and folding it over her arm, Paige made her way further inside and nearly dropped everything she was holding when she finally saw the two specimens that were surely the culprits of the current climate. Her bag and robes may have stayed on her person, but her jaw had nearly dropped to the floor. Spinning around in place, the seventh year simply gaped at Professor Myers, her eyes flickering towards the first specimen in particular - although the second was equally as fantastical, just for different reasons.
Truth be told, Paige entirely missed the board, the option to compare and contrast the two "roses," and basically everything the professor had just shouted.
She was way too excited to be working with these two particular magical plants.
DID ANYONE ELSE REALIZE HOW RARE AND EXCITING AN OPPORTUNITY THIS WAS?!
The Hufflepuff could hardly sit still and was literally bouncing in her seat.
...and there may have been just a little bit of excited squeaking going on as her piercing blue eyes moved back and forth between both rows of magical plants.

HERBOLOGY! EEP! Needless to say, Olivia Phillips was excited and READY.
Bring it, Professor Paul.
Bouncing her way towards this new... dome-like greenhouse that had suddenly appeared on the grounds, intuition (as well as the Professor, xD) told the blonde Gryffindor that THIS was where her classmates would be. Also, it was simply too magnificent not to be the location of a lesson, and seeing as it had not existed until a few days ago.... Why not hold all their lessons here, to be honest?
Entering, she took in the scene... and fire immediately caught her gaze. Something was on fire?? Merlin, it was stuffy, wasn't it? That wasn't so terrible, however. It was like a summer day on the lake in here, when the air was humid and thick, like pea soup.
Also, yes... she WOULD help herself to some iced water, thank you. Accepting a bottle, she went about getting out materials to do comparisons; using columns instead of a chart.

Skidding to a halt, Jace stopped at the door and took a peek inside to see if it’s safe to come in. Given that a good number of students have stepped inside, the Ravenclaw did the same, offering Paul a bow in greeting.
Quietly, he went on to observe the two kinds of ‘roses’, and took note of the differences. This time around, Jace was quick to come up with an answer, given that he couldn’t stand the heat. The Ravenclaw can already feel his sweat running down his back, drenching his white shirt in the process.
Heaving a sigh, the Ravenclaw took the marker and wrote down his observation:
Specimen A: Is the offshoot of Specimen B
The Ravenclaw wheeled around to take a bottle of cold water, and immediately took a seat. Jace didn’t pay much attention to where he sat, given that the heat has made him really distracted. The thirteen year old immediately took a gulp of water and waited for the lesson to start.

Olly was excited for Herbology! The only part he was not super excited about was the walk across the grounds in this weather. It was still pretty cold. He hurried to the greenhouse and as soon as he stepped in his worries about the weather were instantly gone. It was hot in there! Why was it so hot? Oh, that would probably be the fire.
His mind jumped from the heat of the room and he was mesmerized by those flowers. They were on fire. His first thought was to ask Professor Myers if he knew his roses were on fire, but he assumed he probably did know that. It looked like they were supposed to be on fire. The one with the burning petals did not look like it was being harmed by the fire so it was fine. Once he remembered the professor he turned to greet him. "Hello professor."
He had to do work before class even started? Write down a similarity of difference. That was easy enough though so he wasn't too worried about it. Except a lot of people had already written things down so he had to think of something new. Those were all good ones. After a moment Olly wrote in the overlapping section.

Sweet holy Merlin this heat.
It was all of a second of walking inside before the Gryffindor decided this absolutely would not be working for him and he walked back out. This couldn't be happening, not for the whole duration of the class, not if he had anything to say about it. Wearing comfortable clothing was one thing; he'd grabbed a regular t-shirt and shorts which made the walk over ridiculously horrible because of how COLD the outside actually was. Thin, light clothing for class at the risk of dying from exposure. Never a dull moment, huh Hogwarts?
Blaise took a deep breath before re-entering the greenshouse dome for a second time. This shouldn't be happening, not in January. Bloody hell.
The Gryffindor walked right up to the sweating Professor, already feeling the beads of sweat forming at his own temples. Very little attention was given to the roses. It didn't matter to him that they were burning, that was kinda the over-arching problem here. "Professor? D'you think you could put one of those cooling charms on me? I don't think I'm much a fan of this heat. Learning's gonna be something short of impossible if this keeps up."
For himself of course. The others in the greenhouse didn't seem nearly as affected. They could keep learning just fine, but the Gryffindor was very likely to spend the entire class thinking he was melting. Hardly conducive to him retaining anything.

Startled, sorta, by the Ravenclaw taking a seat, Olivia scooted a bit closer to her friend, smiling. "Hey, you."
She, of course, didn't mind him sitting here, being a friend and all. But, then again, who didn't she consider one of those? That was the better question.

Cassie followed the instructions of Professor Myer’s note, making her way to the additional-though-seemingly-more-temporary greenhouse that had popped up in the last few days. Interesting…quite interesting. And as she made her way into said greenhouse, the third year was glad she paid attention to the ‘dress comfortably’ portion of the note. Because BOY was it warm inside and as she allowed her gaze around the area and found the professor first and then the plants that were no doubt the objects of today’s lesson, it was kinda clear why.
“Good day, Professor,” she greeted before following the point to the board. Reading it over, she tentatively moved closer to examine the two specimens as directed. Her gaze occasionally bouncing back over to the board to see what others had written so she knew what she could possibly contribute. She finally added to the list under Specimen A:

Paul nodded. “Yes, it’s very….humid in here,” he said as he wiped his brow with the back of his hand. He had anticipated this heat, but it didn’t mean he necessarily enjoyed it or liked it. He just knew it would be worth it with how cool and rare these flowers were.

“Hello, Harvey,” Paul said with a smile in the boy’s direction. “You will find that out in due time, m’boy…” he nodded. He was glad some of them were actually writing things on the board, though!

“Hello and good day, Azura!” He watched her write on the board and smirked, slightly.

Not the most creative thing to notice, but it was still true.
Now where was that ice water?
“Hello, Miss Botros!” he smiled and wondered where little Junia was. The Botros children were just….well, Paul adored them.

Paul chuckled at the boy’s words. “Well, not really, as you can see,” he gestured at the flowers. But the boy had noticed already! Good good. If he hadn’t noticed, Paull would have been concerned about the boy’s health.

“Hello, Kitty,” he said to the Ravenclaw prefect. He was surprised, though, at her choice of clothes….seeing as how bloody hot it was in here. Paha! Looks like she COULDN’T handle this in a turtleneck.
It made Paul chuckle.

On the board, Katy added a line in the little shared blank, under 'Similarities': "Roses."
Paul smiled and shook his head at Miss Toussaint. “No, no, I did not, I’m afraid. They are...rather hard to breed, to be honest. For reasons we’ll get into in a bit!” he winked.

“Heeeelllllooooo, m’dear!” he gave his prefect a wave.
The girl always found a way to wear boots, didn’t she? He had to admire her passion.

He turned to give Natalia a curious look when she spoke before clearing his throat to answer. “Well, I don’t think anyone wants to set flowers on fire….and I certainly have done that to these...but we’ll get to that in DUE TIME, m’dear!” he said cheerfully.

Luckily, Oliver had a t-shirt under his sweater, so he quickly pulled it off and stuffed it into his backpack, and tossed the bag down by a seat near the middle of the class.
Pahahaha! Paul laughed at Oliver’s comment. “Perhaps the discomfort of the heat will propel your brain in a direction you hadn’t previously anticipated? Eh?” He chuckled and put his hands behind his back, rocking on his feet as he waited for more students to arrive.

Nobody had said she wasn’t allowed to make her own personal observation.
Part of Paul’s lesson observations always included how miserable Brooklyn Andrews could be in any given lesson. On a scale of one to ten...he’d give her a….surprisingly, a three so far. She had even smiled at him.
Did she like fire?

So, they had to write something different or similar between the two which wasn't too hard. Bella walked closer to the board and read through what was already written before writing under Specimen B:
“Hello there, Bella!” he smiled and waved at the girl, delighting that she, like so many of her peers, seemed enthralled with the flowers. He had to admit..he was smug about procuring some for this lesson.

“Hello to you, Miss Lynch!” he said as she entered, noting that she hadn’t told him hello yet.
He kept notice of those things, yes.
Not self centered at all, nope, not this guy

If there was one student Paul could pick to know what these flowers were, he would have picked Paige Skeeter. Either Paige or Charlotte Kettleburn, but Char wasn’t here yet...and it seemed Paige had made the connection. He could just...tell, in her eyes. It made him smile.
“Yes..good day, Paige..” he swept past her and patted her back.
He would miss Paige when she graduated. Such a passion for his subject. She would do well if she did indeed continue on with healer studies.

Paul sent her a wave, AGAIN NOTING HOW SHE DID TELL HIM HELLO. But it was Olivia, and she would probably say SOMETHING to him at some point before class ended. It was Olivia, yeah?
He was shocked she hadn’t made more an entrance.

He bowed back at Jacen, watching the boy for a second or two as he wrote on the board. Everyone seemed to be sweating already…maybe he could help out..?

Actually he didn't know if that was real fire or some sort of magical fire on the plant. Did he have to wait until Professor Paul told them? The only way to find out sooner would be to just reach out and touch one himself....but that seemed dangerous so he decided not to do that.
“Hello there, Oliver,” he smiled. “I wouldn’t touch if I were you…” he warned softly, SEEING the way he was looking at those flowers.

“What, you can’t handle a little… BLAZE of fire, BLAISE?” and Paul broke into laughter. Lots and lots of knee-slapping laughter. BLAISE. BLAZE. FIRE. HAHAHAHA. HA.
SO FUNNY. PAUL MYERS WAS SO FUNNY.
He gave his wand a wave and cast a cooling charm on Blaise and on everyone ELSE in the room. “Is that better, everyone?” he asked as he caught his breath.

“Hello, good day to you, too, Cassie!” Paul said cheerfully as he watched her add something on the board. The chart was filling right up, wasn’t it? He was very pleased.
But it was time...about time, to move on. He headed to the front where the board was, with his little venn diagram. “Very good list here, everyone, very good start,” he smirked. “Some quite keen observations up here…” Others, not so much, but he didn’t voice this aloud.
“But now…” he grinned. “It is time for the reveal. Some of you may be familiar...others...not so much. Specimen A, the black ones….are Floo flowers!” Cue OOOOOOOH’s here. “And Specimen B….are a breed called Fira Ignifera, or..Fire Roses.” Cue the AHHHHs here. “Now, these two are related in some ways--” he gestured at the board. “As you can see. I think Jacen, you said the Floo Flowers were an offshoot of the Fire Roses…very KEEN observation! Take a point!” Because, well, he was right! “Now, before we get into the GOOD stuff, let me ask you this….WHY do you think I had to hold my lesson on these flowers in here? Base on these observations? ” he asked.
SPOILER!!: Diagram on the Board
OOC: Class had officially started, guys! Do not post late unless you wish to inflict IC consequences on your character! <3 I'll be moving on...I guess in 18 hours or so? Maybe later! <3 PS.
