Well it was time for another go then! Charlotte cheered Liv on when she went for the pumpkin smash but it looked like they still had work to do. Okay pumpkin, lets get some of those ghostie pins down!

Char cast flipendo again, sending her pumpkin careening towards the pins and..... knocking down 4! Well not as good as her earlier 7 but still!

"Yay!" Charlotte cheered her own self on, the whole dark swan thing completely forgotten.

The pumpkin was STILL not getting smashed?! Aw, man. Aw, man. They needed a new strategy or something. Of what kind Oweb wasn't sure but he was so ready for that pumpkin to smash now but he also wanted to try his hand with knocking the bowling pins down.

So the 4th year stepped up to the front of his teammates and whipped out his wand. Deep breaths first. Alright. "Flipendo!" Owen said enthusiastically, sending a jet of sparks towards the pins causing ALL to be knocked down.

WHOA.

Whoa.

How cool was that? Booyah!

Oh wow. Another strike. "We are SO good at this!" The second year murmured with a smile. They were great at this. Although the pumpkins still weren't smashed! They must have been super strong pumpkins. Though they were looking in bad condition now. That meant that they would smash soon! Hopefully it would be there pumpkin that would smash first. "Well done Owen" Hattie murmured with a big smile. She was so proud of all her fellow badgers, they were doing so good.

And now she got to do another pumpkin smash. "Pumpkin smassshhh" She giggled, bouncing forward and positioning herself. Grinning, she shouted "Flipendo!" And watched as the pumpkin went moving towards the wooden board.

and...

Smash....

Hopefully...

ANOTHER STRIKE?

Why WAS EVERYONE ROLLING STRIKES.

Paul cheered for Owen though and went to clap him on the back. "Very good, Owen!" Badgers were on a roll. But he watched as Hattie sent the pumpkin for the wooden board and it did NOT smash yet.

In really bad shape, though, HEH.

Oh, wow. Owen rolled another strike for Hufflepuff! "Awesome, mate!" He offered his dormmate a high five and decided to take the next turn. Grabbing the pumpkin for himself, he announced to his other housemates, "I'm up next!" He was all well and good for girls going first, and letting Owen take a turn or two, but games were his thing and he needed to do more than just cheer from the sidelines.

He was fairly good at muggle bowling, but he had no clue how much alike the pumpkin would roll as it wasn't as perfectly round as a bowling ball. Plus he'd be using magic instead of his arm. "Flipendo!" He cast the charm on the pumpkin and watched it as it was sent towards the pins, gradually veering to the left. "Get back over.." he coaxed the pumpkin as he leaned to the right as if that would somehow make the pumpkin go back more towards the middle. But it didn't.

One pin down. That was slightly disappointing. But better than a zero!

It was still not smashed. "That is one strong pumpkin!" Harriet mused with a little giggle as she watched the pins be put back up. It looked in very bad condition now though. Surely it would only take down one more pumpkin smash to get it to smash. That meant that they needed to knock some pins down. ooh. Henry was going up now. "Go Henrry!" Hattie beamed, pretending to be a little cheerleader. They could do this.

She bounced on her feet a little as she watched Henry go. "Well done Henry!" One pin was better than not. The second year stepped up again, wanting to have another go. She wanted to get lots down. She prepared herself, stretching a little, and then she pointed her wand at her pumpkin.

"Flipendo!" She murmured, and then watched as the pumpkin rolled towards the pins. And down 4 went. "ooh 5. That's not too bad. 5 more to go!" She murmured, turning around and moving to let the next puffer have a go.

So apparently the Ravenclaw's forgot to show up today? The entire class seemed like it was Huffies and Snakes! And here she was in a giant dress trying to help her team..

They were doomed.

Azura carefully picked up her dress and made her way towards the Giant pumpkin.. she sealed a bit as she looked around carefully at what everyone else was doing..

Ahh okay! A spell! That made sense! Cause there was no way in the sweet Fwoopers she'd get this pumpkin to move an inch if she had to push it.

She aimed her wand at the pumpkin and said "Flipendo!"

Hey it worked!!! Yayyyy!

She watched carefully as it rolled down and then hit three pins!

Ugh! Well she tried! They still had a few more to go!

It looked like the other teams were getting ahead of them. Olly didn't like that. He wanted to win. He didn't want Hufflepuff to win. He hurried up to the pumpkin and pointed his wand. "Flipendo!" There was only one pin left the pumpkin knocked it over easily. It probably wasn't so much because of good aim on Olly's part, but because of the sheer size of the pumpkin they were using as a bowling ball. But now that there were no pins left he got out of the way so someone else could smash the wall. Hopefully it was hard enough to smash the pumpkin open sompletely.

Even if he didn't contribute all that much to the bringing down of the pins, Henry knew that the combined teamwork of his house would get them all done in no time. He turned his eyes to Hattie as she took another turn. Alright, four more! Now they were halfway done with this round. "Way to go, Hattie!" he grinned at the other girl, then picked up the pumpkin for himself to take another turn. Hopefully he could redeem himself.

Casting Flipendo on the badly beaten pumpkin again, he watched as it headed towards the remaining pins. Now with less pins, he was a little concerned that it would veer off course again and he'd get nothing. But luckily that did not happen.

"Sweet." He grinned when four pins were knocked down, leaving them with only one left. Who'd be next to knock that one down? They totally had this.

Nat watched Oliver hit the last pin! This was actually really fun. "Great job!" Clapping and bouncing a bit Nat looked around for someone to go next. Her distraction moved to the group of puffs that seemed to being doing well and she caught one of the groups getting a strike.

Wow

That was really cool the people could do that. Maybe once she could figure it out. Maybe if you pointed your wand a certain way or angled the pumpkin just right? Nat started looking at it and trying to figure out the way to position her next move when it became her next move.

"Oh I'll try to smash a pumpkin." This could be super fun. So she set her pumpkin down and angled it just to the left a little since she noticed her pumpkin moved at an angle down when it hit the three pins. Backing up a bit she did the movement again "Flipendo" She crossed her fingers and maybe her toes, "smash.. smash, come on pumpkin you can do it." Her eyes never leaving the pumpkin as it hit the wood.

"goo Henry! Go Henrry. Go Henrry!" Harriet beamed, clapping her hands as she cheered on her house mate. She knew that by cheering each other on that they would do better. Fellow support made things so much easier. "Yaaay Well done Henry!" She murmured with a beam. He was doing really well. They were all doing really well. She was happy! They only had 1 more pin to go down and then they could have a pumpkin smash. She really hoped that the smash would work this time.

"Okay. 1 more pin!" She murmured, as she got up, and made herself ready for the next go. She moved her wand, and said "Flipendo!" And then the pumpkin went moving down to the last pin.

"yaay! Yaaay!" She beamed, spinning around. "Go! go! Pumpkin Smash time!"

Henry was far too focused on his own team to know how well any of the other teams were doing, even if he did sneak a glance or two at the others. But they were so close to winning, he could feel it. How many times could that pumpkin get hit against the board before smashing?

He watched Hattie, certain that she would get that last pin. She had been doing really well, much better than him, so it was pretty much a sure thing. "Yes!" He fist-pumped the air when she got that last pin down and he picked up the pumpkin. Maybe it would smash against the wall this time. "Cross your fingers!" he told his team. And he'd do the same once he sent it to its target.

"Flipendo!" He cast the spell on the pumpkin, watching as it soared to the wooden board. Would it hit its mark? Would it smash this time? He crossed his fingers as he kept his eyes on that pumpkin.

Olivia cheered on Char as she stepped up to bowl again, offering encouragement and beaming smiles! Yes, you go girl! YOU GOT THIS!

Liv was, of course, too focused on her own house's stuff, so she didn't really note what everyone else was doing... but she wouldn't have been that bent out of shape about them technically being behind. This was all for fun, you know? Not something she was about to get super crazy competitive over. If other people were doing well, GOOD FOR THEM.

Also, she'd never been bowling before, so, anytime ANY pins were knocked down, she got excited and PROUD of herself. It was the little things, after all.

Stepping up to bowl again, the white swan gracefully took position and decided to use magic this time to get the pumpkin moving. Merlin, too much strain on her legs with physical pushing, she was going to be too exhausted to attend other lessons for the day.

"Flipendo!"The spell shot forth from her wand, and Liv watched as it hit the reset pumpkin, causing it to rush towards the ghostly pins once more..... BUT NO STRIKE. She'd managed to get two of them, though.

Twirl! There was a dedicated performance happening here!

Hufflepuff was still doing well, but Paul was briefly distracted by SLYTHERIN suddenly knocking down all their pins! He cheered and cleared his throat. “And Oliver sends the rest of the pins down down DOOOOWWWWWN--Nat sent the pumpkin right for the board--" Paul wondered if it would break--and nope. That pumpkin was still very much intact.

Ravenclaw was doing okay! They hadn’t yet managed to knock down all their pins but it was okay! Paul gave them a whoop for good measure. Gryffindor wasn’t doing too poorly--

But. His badgers. <3

“AND HUFFLEPUFF’S PUMPKIN SMASHED OPEN--” he yelled as the pumpkin BURST apart, an absolutely mess over there by the wooden board. “All right badgers--go forth and SEARCH!”

"Come on, you pumpkin," Junia muttered as she stepped up for the Slytherins. Her wand was already drawn and there was a serious look of determination on her face. She was okay with Hufflepuffs doing good since some of her family called that house home but like, she didn't. That meant the snakes had to get themselves sorted and smash this pumpkin to bits!

"Flipendo!" Oh, that one was a good one! She felt the power of her spell as it propelled the pumpkin towards the pins. Her smile grew as it stayed on a good path, headed right for the center. "Stay, stay, stay..." But it turned a little juuuust at the last minute, still making contact, but not as much as she'd have liked.

"3 isn't so bad. Let's GO!"

Juno jumped as high as her little T-Rex legs could jump! Their pumpkin had smashed open! "Great job everyone! Now lets search for our mystery object!" This was going to be a little difficult in her dino suit but she was going to do it anyway.

Juno squished her way through the pumpkin guts trying to get a feel for the mystery item. WHERE WAS THIS THING! She kept searching and stomping around until finally she felt something plastic under her foot. She looked down and saw something black. She picked it up, without falling over thank goodness, and discovered a plastic bat! "I GOT IT GUYS! PROFESSOR! I'VE FOUND OUR MYSTERY ITEM!" She was so excited she started jumping up and down...in the pumpkin guts.

Sky was trying to not be distracted by all the students getting strikes and Hufflepuffs doing quite well but when she heard Myers announce that the Hufflepuffs pumpkin smashed open, Sky HAD to look and grin at them.

But there was still time for Snakes to smash a pumpkin and find the mystery item next. Stepping up behind Junia, Sky cast aloud "Flipendo!" and watched as the pumpkin flipped rapidly towards the pins...

Keep going, keep going.... she whispered watching as the pumpkin made contact with the pins... Six falling and the seventh wobbled a bit but remained standing. Eh she got close!!!!

Eek! The Huffies were getting close to smashing their pumpkin and here she was over here.. attempting to knock down pins so they could try to smash their punpkin.

Azura held up her dress as she walked over to where the pumpkin was and she took a deep breath..

All right, she could do this! She had done it once and gotten three pins! That was decent, they only needed three more!

She picked up her wand and aimed it the giant pumpkin..

"Flipendo!" she called.

Her purple eyes watched as the giant pumpkin moved towards the remaining pins and..

Missed them completely..

Gahhhhhh! Fwoopers..

One epic fail, party of one.

This was going pretty good. The Slytherin team kept knocking down their pins, and it seemed to Olly that they were picking up speed a bit. Or maybe that was just wishful thinking. By the time it was his turn again Hufflepuff had already smashed their pumpkin and they were looking for the object. Or had they already found the object? Either way it shouldn't take too long. He had pretty much given up hope of winning at that point but he could still hope. And they could still try for second place. Maybe? Whatever he was still going to take his turn.

"Flipendo." He was a bit distracted so the spell did not work quite as well as he thought it could have. The pumpkin did start going but the roll was a bit slow. He watched without breathing, not wanting to get a total of zero and disappoint his team. There was only one pin left he just had to hit ONE. Thank Merlin he did. The pumpkin got there and knocked it over. Now someone just had to send it smashing into the back wall.

It didn't open well that was disappointing, but this was still so much fun. So when the pins went up again Nat stepped back to let her housemates go and try. Her eyes went to the other houses and Hufflepuff got theirs open. Maybe she could go find theirs and pretend it was Slytherins. Let them do the work for the snakes. That sounded about right.

She started to wonder over when she was pulled back for her turn. "Oh I get to try another pumpkin smashing." This was exciting and her snakes were really good at bowling. She set down the pumpkin and tried to angle it right this time. "Flipendo" Crossing her fingers yet again this time she closed her eyes. She couldn't watch it not break again.

SMASH.. SMASH...SMASH

Keeping off to the side now and cheering on her housemates, Paige clutched her hands together in front of her face with each attempt. She had even relaxed enough to bounce in place every now and then, index fingers tapping against her lips while squeaking her support until it came down to Henry and his well placed spellwork. "Well done, Henry!" Paige applauded, this time actually jumping up and down.

RIGHT! Searching for...something in the pile of pumpkin pulp. No matter! Shoes, hands, and robes could all be cleaned anyway. Following her fellow badgers over, Paige showed no hesitation diving in and digging around in the mess and not minding at all the goo that was getting wedged under her fingernails. But she wasn't finding anything - save for an especially slippery spot that nearly caused her to faceplant right into the mess.

"Great eye, Juno!" the seventh year chirped, now basically sitting in the mess left by the pumpkin explosion after her slip.

Little rubber bats? Cute.

Her gaze then, finally, fell on the other houses. Two good tosses from Oliver and Nat just now for Slytherin, eliciting some enthusiastic clapping from the Hufflepuff. "Chin up, Azura!" she encouraged the Ravenclaw, providing her with two thumbs up. And Gryffindor was doing quite well as well, which came as no surprise given the dynamic duo that was Olivia and Charlotte. Not to mention Tenacius' enthuasism.

Slytherin wasn’t too far behind Hufflepuff, and as soon as Oliver knocked down the very last pin, Natalia sent the pumpkin towards the board for the third time….and….

It STILL didn’t burst apart ;__;

“Damn! Well--you got this, Slytherin! It looks close to breaking!” he said as he waved his wand and reset the pins, also rolling the pumpkin back over to them. Ravenclaw was...well...it looked like Azura was doing a lot of the work and honestly, Paul felt for the girl!

HUFFLEPUFF FOUND THE LITTLE BAT. IT WAS SO CUTE. PAUL WAS SO PROUD. He clapped happily. “Well….who will come in second and third place?” he asked the class as a whole. He wondered if he should allow some of the badgers to help Azura ;__;

She could doooo this! Charlotte beamed at Liv, they made a good team. A good swan team and a good pumpkin bowling team. Her turn? Yes!

She stepped up and cast flipendo again, sending the pumpkin CAREEEEENING into the pins....

.... THREE PINS! OKAY. Ok. That was ok. ONE LEFT!

Come on Gryffindors!!

Welp.. it seemed like it was just her doing this..she sighed a bit as she looked down led at everyone else with all their housemates and she wished again that she has been sorted into Hufflepuff.. Lack of stairs, close to the Kitchens and yellow was a cool color!

Ahh well..

She turned to Paigeas she heard her speak and she gave her a thumbs up, she could totally do this right? Right!

She aimed her wand at the Giant Pumpkin and took a deep breath.

"Flippendo!" she called out as she watched her pumpkin go flying down towards the remaining pins! Bam!!

It knocked them over! Yasssssss!

Now it was time to attempt to smash the pumpkin right?

OKAY SHE WAS EXCITED. Yes she'd just knocked pins down but her teammates wouldn't mind her having a go at smashing the pumpkin, right? She hadn't had a chance to do that yet!

Char stepped up, focused, and did her best flipendo, just like in dueling.

"Flipendo!"
