| | |  Gobstones Preliminary Match: Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw
 The building used for the Gobstones matches had its doors open against the late September warmth. Its surfaces magically dusted by Professor Vance and Professor Stewart, the school's Gobstones sponsors and made ready for the term's first preliminary match.
The red and blue marbles were set out and the playing 'field' had been marked. Chairs were set out on each side of the arena creating a Viewing Area for those not playing to watch.
OOC: Remember only members sorted into Gryffindor and Ravenclaw Houses can post in this thread, it is not a chat thread and there is no rping.
Read the Gobstones Rule book before playing and if you did last term, please check again for potential updates and changes.

Lancelot remained while the Ravenclaws sent out Mason to replace Jace. The moment the swingers were shot & the marbles released, the marbles sped off. It seemed the blue one would reach the Jack stone first but it thudded into the third obstacle while the red one sped on.

Timmy stayed put with his shooter while Finnlay stepped forward for the Eagles. Both players swung their shooters. The vlue clad team's luck was steadfast with the red one colliding with the fourth obstacle after neatly clearing the others. The blue marble surpassed it, earning the Ravenclaw some welcome points.

Tenacious took up the shooter for Gryffindor against the Ravenclaw player. When the marbles were released, the blue one took the lead. But it only survived the second obstacle while the red one quickly completed its course and thus claiming the points for Gryffindor.
