You know where Minnie Darling wanted to go? Gladrags. And she was going to drag Vincent Ferrari with her. Speaking of. "You know what you need, Ferrari? A makeover" she grinned, and clang to his arm tighter so he wouldn't run away.
With his nose in a book all the time, he had obviously forgotten the joy of dressing himself up - so Minnie Darling would do that for him.

Vincent was of course being dragged by Minnie to uhhhh Gladrags. What was going on. He needed a new notebook, some ink, even something to eat. But a makeover did not even make his top 50. Not like he would be running away for anything. Or even complain that much. Since he was the one who wanted them to go to Hogsmeade.
So here they were.
"Are my clothes really that bad?"
He never really though about it and usually just got what was comfy.
His hair on the other hand was probably a disaster.

Pushing away some loose blond strands of hair that had fallen into her sea blue eyes, Laurel turned her gaze to Kay beside her as they stepped over the threshold together and into Gladrags Wizardwear to browse around amongst the cloth racks asking. "What are you looking for to buy today? A new skirt? A blouse maybe?"
Going over to look at the ponchos on sale Laurel asked with a glance over shoulder to the other woman. "Kay, are you planning to do anything special for Valentine's Day that is coming up soon?"
She hoped the girlfriend date with Kay for the day was going to be a blast. Women needed to spend time with other woman sometimes. It was fact and Laurel and Kay ws renewing their friendship since their school days.

It was at Kay's insistence that she and Laurel were at Gladrags. She sincerely hoped that Laurel didn't mind but Kay really did want to add a few more shirts to her wardrobe. Maybe even a cloak. Blue eyes peered around at the store which was mercifully warm, before she looked back to Laurel. "A few shirts and a cloak is what I'd like to have. You know... you can pick something, too. It'll be my treat in return for dragging you here.''
The Muggle Studies professor followed her friend over to the ponchos. Was one of that what she wanted? "I have no plans at all. I have been single for so many years, all I do is eat even more chocolates on that day.'' She laughed. "Does that sound sad?''

Oh sweet babycakes.
Shaking her head immediately, Minnie wrapped her arm round his waist and gave him a side hug. "Of course not!" she assured, with the best fake but somehow sincere smile ever. "I just think this is a good pass time"
Moving on to open the door for him, Minnie did a little curtsy, "after you, kind sir"

Priscilla Lovegoods was in need of a new pair of gloves, which was the main reason she'd headed for Gladrags first. It totally wasn't just because she wanted to shop... That was just an extra benefit. She had a bit of extra money from her parents she'd been saving anyway, so...if she just so happened to find something else she wanted...hehe.
The Ravenclaw entered the shop, and her eyes were immediately drawn to the sweaters. They looked so comfy and warm! Some of these designs though...hmm...

Vincent took a look at his clothes just to be sure he was wearing something normal for today. He just grabbed some clothes and put them on. Well if she says so.
This was not something he ever planned on doing or ever thought about.
"You are right about that."
Vincent shook his head amused as he walked into the store. Woah there was a lot of clothes. Where do you even start.
Vincent just stood in place looking around staring.

They were in Gladrags since Kay had insisted on that being the first pit stop. Laurel didn't mind looking at clothes. She loved clothes and accessories like most women did but what she really wanted was to buy some delicious candy from Honeydukes. It had been years since she had stuck her teeth in a jelly slug.
As the warmth returned to her fingers Laurel pulled out a dark green poncho to inspect it closer before she hung it back on the rack. When Kay joined her she said "That's awfully generous of you since i didn't mind being dragged here at all. I don't really need anything new, but a poncho might be good. I had forgotten how cold and windy the castle was and especially the towers." Brr. If there was something Laurel hated it was to freeze.
Thoughtfully she responded. "It does sound a bit sad you know, but you just haven't met mr right yet. I could do a reading of the cards for you if you want? Didn't you like Jordan when we were in school?"

Okay, so the place was a dream come true. Whistling in appreciation, Minnie moved to stand besides Ferrari and sighed happily. "I think I am in love"
For a moment or two, Minnie just stood there and took everything in. And then - she was ready. "Okay Ferrari, let's do this" she announced, and grabbed the first t-shirt she liked off the shelf. Handing it over to him, she pulled off black jeans to go with that from another shelf.
"Go on, then - try them on. I will get you more stuff" Grin.

"I know what you mean, Laurel,'' Kay said with a bob of her head. "Besides, don't you think Paul would like it if another staffer wears a poncho?'' She chuckled at the thought of the kind Hufflepff Head of House. "Oh, it would be nothing. I insist you select something.'' At that moment, she spotted a beautiful plaid shirt. She loved plaid shirts! "I'm getting this.''
"How about you? Or are you single too?'' As she spoke, the woman was searching for the next perfect shirt. She was thinking more along the line of a tee shirt this time. "I think I'm used to being single but a reading would be lovely.'' She didn't want to refuse her friend. Then she stopped short with another chuckle before turning to Laurel. "He intrigued me back then but I never had a crush on him. Though I must say he's turned into quite the looker now.'' It was nice to be able to tell a friend in person what she thought. She had never told anyone else what she thought of Jordan. Anyone but her best friend. When Kay had written to Ansley, she had told him. "Don't tell anyone I said that, please.''

There will be a time in the future that Vincent was going to say no. But this was not one of them. Since well she was happy and he was alright. He was still indifferent to being here.
"You would be. Its not bad here"
And before he knew it he had his hands full with clothes that looked to be his size. How she knew...he wasn't going to ask.
"Alright"
Vincent walked over to a fitting room and started putting on the clothes. Well these were interesting. Once finished he walked out and twirled showing Minnie the new clothes
"Better?"
Don't ask why he has the hood on.

Ah, Hogsmeade weeked! It was Summer's favorite time of the year. Soon her shop would be overrun with Hogwarts students and maybe a professor or two, and she was going to be ready for them! The blonde woman was busy arranging warm winter hats, scarves, and gloves around a standing display in the middle of the store.
She was just about to hang a sign that said: BUY 1, GET 1 HALF OFF ALL HATS, SCARVES, & GLOVES when people started filing into the shop. Well, that didn't take long!

The first to arrive were a couple of students who were clearly boyfriend and girlfriend. Summer gave them a warm smile as they entered the shop. "Hello. Welcome to Gladrags!" she said. "We're having a sale today. All hats, scarves, and gloves are buy one, get one half off."

Summer turned back toward the display and had just finished hanging the sign when she noticed a Ravenclaw girl looking at the sweaters. "Are you looking for a certain style in particular?" she asked. "I have more designs in the back."
"I know what you mean, Laurel,'' Kay said with a bob of her head. "Besides, don't you think Paul would like it if another staffer wears a poncho?'' Pulling out a vibrant red poncho for closer inspection Laurel grinned over the edge of it at her good friend saying "I'm sure Paul would like it very much, but I'd wear it for warmth though not to make a fashion statement. " Shaking her head, she gave up amused. "Since you insist then I'm getting a poncho, I just have to settle on the colour."
Of course the question would bounce back in her face. Putting the red poncho back on the rack Laurel walked a few steps down to look at the ponchos in orange and pink and blue as she spoke. "I'm single too. No Valentines plans. Unless something comes up with someone." With Viktor or with family. Smiling she said getting excited."We can do a reading when we go back to the castle."
Giggling warmly Laurel said "Jordan has indeed turned into quite a dashing man, one worth crushing on now, right?" Like Viktor and Rafael and Roderick. Pulling a finger over her lips she said seriously "I won't tell a soul. Do you think Jordan likes you?"

Laurel stopped talking when the shopkeeper appeared to offer them her assistance. A polite smile pursed her lips as she confided to the other woman. "I'm looking for a poncho to keep me warm up in the chilly castle but I'm not sure exactly in what colours I'd look best. Do you have any suggestions?"
~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.
Kay laughed softly. "We can just pass it off as though you're following his fashion trend.'' She was always amused when Paul wore ponchos. "How about green? That should take you back to your years as a Slytherin.'' Possibly Laurel considered herself a Snake still? Kay thought of herself as an Eagle to this day.
"We should do one for you and myself then! Or have you any idea about whom your potential valentine could be?" Kay had had a tiny crush on someone recently but that was exactly what it had been- a crush, for it had vanished not long after.
"Are you trying to set Jordan and I up, Laurel?" Was Kay mad about this? Not one bit. "He is just my friend. I have no idea if he likes me but I know his dog does.'' She laughed again. "I'm looking for a relationship that's not too fast paced. Something that would just be romantic.''
"Hello,'' the woman greeted the shopkeeper. "No help, thank you. But I must let you know that I really do like the vast array of clothing you have in stock.'' There was so much to choose from!

"Paul will be happy however we pass it off." Laurel murmured with a soft smile. Or that was at least how she assumed the school herbologist would react. Time would tell. It was too chilly for her liking anyway. "Maybe, I've always liked green and I look good in it too. I still use my Slytherin scarf from our school days from time to time." Laurel admitted. She was still a snake at heart. "Do you wear anything eagley?"
"Sure, we can do readings for the both of us." She accepted with a nod. She hadn't planned on doing one for herself, but it was Kay. So she could make an exception. "I might have an idea of who my valentine could be, but I doubt he is interested." Laurel said a little evasively. Kay could fill in the blanks.
Laughing warmly she said "No, not at all, unless you want me to help set you guys up?" It could be fun to try and be the school matchmaker for her friend. Giggling again she asked "His dog likes you? Then Jordan must like you too." Creatures were good at judging character and feeling in moods so it seemed like a given.
"You'd have to sound the water to know what Jordan is looking for in a relationship." Meaning Kay had to ask him out on a date.................hint.hint.hint.

Kay knew she couldn't have been the only one who got all nostalgic and wanted to use their old House things from time to time. "If I remembered correctly, you always looked great in the green. Yes, my scarf as well. I need a new one, however. The current one is getting frayed.'' It had only lasted that long because she was great at taking care of her belongings.
The woman ended up taking another plaid shirt for herself. She was quite drawn to them for some reason. Altogether she had two shirts and a cloak, just what she had been looking for. "Viktor,'' Kay said without hesitation. She may have observed things, Laurel, like the way the Divination woman would stare after Viktor. "You should ask him. You wouldn't know if you don't.'' She would be there for moral support because Kay was that kind of a person.
She laughed. "Big Boss likes everyone. He'd like you instantly too.'' The Muggle Studies professor looked at her friend as she considered the suggestion. She hadn't dated in a while and would be a bit rusty admittedly. It was difficult for her to trust anyone in a relationship though the only person she would readily jump into one with would have been Ansley if he had been into women. "If you'd like to, I won't mind.'' Laurel could play matchmaker all she wanted to.
Rhibear ~ Madam Solo ~ Dark Brooding Girl ~ Accio Jedi ~ Gryffinclaw ~ Just a doll
It was Hogsmeade weekend again, and that meant a chance for Zira Ryder to check out her favorite shop. She'd tried to drag her twin sister along with her, but she'd had other plans. And her brother and little cousin just didn't understand the concept of shopping! She shook her head. Ugh, Gryffindors!
The Slytherin nodded toward the shopkeeper with a polite smile before making a beeline for the sweaters. So what if the weather was turning warmer? You could never have too many sweaters! As Zira perused the display, she saw sweaters in black, red, green, blue... practically every color but her favorite: purple. She thought about asking the shopkeeper, but she decided to keep looking herself for a bit first. There had to be some purple sweaters in here somewhere!
