Following the notice on the appropriate day you make your way toward the grounds to the Quidditch Pitch. It is late November therefore a bit nippy, but clear enough skies to consider this a fine day to fly. Now what could possibly await you here today? At the open field you can see the Groundskeeper, donning a large black cloak awaiting with many brooms lined up accordingly. By his side was a large trunk that occasionally made faint giggle noises if you were close enough.

Mounting your broom? Oh, that was EASY... And Olivia demonstrated this by casually positioning her broomstick and throwing her leg over the side of it. Making sure she was completely in order, the blonde finally took a deep breath and kicked off from the ground.
..... Not hard, mind. Just enough to get her up into the air.
He'd said to HOVER first... before doing the actual fairy-following, so that's what the blond was doing, you know? Simply chilling atop her broom, looking down at the people still on the ground; her hands placed in the right correct places. In fact, she felt absolutely perfect right now. Flying always made her feel wonderful. No surprise really since both her parents had been quidditch players at some point or another. Yet... she'd not been allowed to. Made total sense, right? Not that she was bitter about it, no... Eh, it simply made sense that the flying thing would come naturally. It was sorta the family business, after all.
Also, no achy joint problems to speak of up in the air.

"Uhuh, think so," he muttered his right arm supporting his hurt left one. "Arm just hurts," he said and blinked his eyes looking up at him from his spot on the ground.
Arm still hurting, eh? Justin went to take a hold of his arm, "Hmm, it does feel tender. Why don't you head on over to Madam Miller at the Hospital Wing, there's no use trying to fly one handed when the other's in pain." So yep, off you go.

But that’s the thing with velocity and wind resistance. It has a tendency to mess with things that’s not aerodynamically designed for flight-- you know like robes.
---------- Y A N K ! !
Flop goes the Gryffindor Ace, hanging onto a hoop by the end of his robes like yesterday's laundry, his broom spiraling out and away from him.
Flails flails!
Awww nuts.
Well this was an interesting sight to Justin. He fought off the grin so he could fly on over. It was good thing his own broom was large enough for one to hop on. At least another student was there to try and help. "I gotcha, Master Salander." Taking a quick pull to yank the boy out. Only damage seem to be on part of his robes as they made their way down before he fixed it with a flick of his wand. Just as Miss Snow was bringing over the his broom. "That's some quick thinking, Miss Snow. Good work. If you want to have another go at the rest of the hoops, Master Salander, you got some time left." Yep, yep.

Hovering..... Hovering.... Hooooooooovering.
Okay, this was boring. So, once the boredom started creeping in, Olivia figured it was time to get down to BUSINESS. The actual flying business. Officially! Ahem, stand aside everyone. Prepare to be impressed by natural talent and shear skillz!
Repositioning her hands on the broom's handle, she leaned forward urging her and guiding her broom towards the makeshift hoops. They weren't crazy like the actual quidditch rings, but would still pose a challenge to anyone not familiar with flying. UNLIKE HER, because Liv was totally familiar. Obviously. Her father was Carter Phillips: Puddlemere United legend (in her eyes, anyway).
Using her hands, she (not so carefully) took off.... but quickly turned herself right back around when she shot past the hoops. It just felt nice being up here. SORRY, PROFESSOR... As for following the glowing fireflies... Well, this felt kinda basic, but then again, this was a beginners class and a lot of her peers had never been on brooms before. So, Liv resolved to be patient and understanding towards the nature of things. She was getting a chance to fly, after all... so this lesson already won the day.
Hmm, to challenge herself, she set about trying to catch as many of the small insects as she could, only to quickly release them after doing so. Catch. Release. Catch again. Release again...

As soon as the Katerina heard the whistle she stopped hoovering and took off. Come here Fireflies, or rather go forth so she could follow them. She got her self comfortable being back up in the air. Just to get a feel of flying. It was like riding a bike you never forget.
Plus if she missed up the flying thing, she would probably get kicked out of her family, Shame would come to her cow or cat. whichever. Now where were those rings. Flying in the air, she reached out and caught one of the fireflies as she went thought the first ring.
Spotting another firefly she flew after it managing a loop de lu mimicking the fireflies path and she closed in on it. She ducked down to fly threw another ring and went back to chasing to firefly.

To clarify, the fireflies weren't going really fast or anything, so Liv understood this wasn't anything like 'Seeking'. Though, if she'd ever been allowed to properly train for the sport of quidditch, she most definitely would've wanted to be one. A seeker! They got to chase the pretty golden ball. LE SIGH. If only her mum wasn't a control freak... and if only her dad would put his foot down and stand up to her.
Losing interest in catching and releasing the fireflies after a while, the Gryffindor spotted her cousin... and darted past her, tagging her kinda roughly. Was Katty up for a game of chase?!
CHASE THROUGH THE HOOPS?
Waiting for the Hufflepuff to answer her unspoken challenge, Liv lazily circled around the hoops that were higher up, reaching out to thump them each time she passed.

So fireflies were slightly boring if you were flying with them. Not as fun as it sounded really. She had a chance to hoover and look for her next victim. find the next firefly to catch.
So hoovering in the middle of where people were flying was not the best idea. Feeling a bump she turned to look see who it was. Livy, she grinned, so that's how she wanted to be.
Game on, Livy.
Who needed fireflies? When she had a cousin to chase now. She had spend most of her younger years following her older cousin around. Spotting her and a ring just behind her Kat zoomed off past Liv and right through the ring. HA!
She turned her head she shot Liv a grin.

Jonas nodded and stood up still keeping his arm close to his side trying not to move it as he handed his broom to the grounds keeper. He nodded to the professor before heading off to the hospital wing.

This is one of the many reasons why Jace wouldn't dare try Quidditch; he was unaware of the happenings around him. Did he see Ace get yanked back and got fully dismounted from his broom? No. The Ravenclaw was too busy concentrating on the hoop before him, trying to fend off the thought that he'd trip his neck if he wasn't careful.
Concentration, precision...Jace was mentally taking down notes of his observations. If he were to master flying, he has to master the basics first. It was just like learning how to ride a bicycle. Once he gets the balance, and the general feel of riding it, then he'd be able to use a bicycle without aides.
After successfully passing through the first few hoops, Jace carefully manuevered the handle to the left to make a turn, and gently pulled up to ascend to the next level of hoops, following the fireflies.
No wonder Jakub liked this broom. It was precise, light to the touch, and very responsive. It looked like he's got a very valuable broom in his hands right now.

Yup, that's exactly how she wants to be!
.... AND KATTY, PLS.
Fireflies completely forgotten, Olivia was all grins chasing her cousin through the hoops. Her cousin had whipped past her, but the blond Gryffindor was right on her heels, pressing down more insistently on the handle of her broom. Trying to speed up and and be safe at the same time. Something her dad had taught her!
MOOOOORE GRINNING!
"OI!" She shouted out at the Hufflepuff. "What are you waiting on, Delgado?!"
She was off, maneuvering through the rings again.

Jace steadily gained speed as he finally got accustomed to the required balance, and the overall feel of flying on his brother's broom. The Ravenclaw turned left...then right...then through one of the hoops passing by a few first time flyers.
The Ravenclaw's breath got caught when two blonde girls zoomed past him, leaving his mouth hanging in mild surprise. They were too quick for his liking, but amused at the fact that brooms can go that fast.
Should he try out Jakub's broom then? Maybe he'd need goggles for his eyes since he could already feel it drying out just by casually flying through hoops...

A sharp turn to the right and down brought her to the seventh and she zipped through it easily. A happy smile on her face,. This was so much fun.. if she wasn't going out for music school, she might try out for an international team like a few of her classmates had..
She pushed forward and moved her broom down to easily slide though the eighth hoop.. she looped back towards the ninth hoop and made it through that and stared to follow the fireflies towards the tenth... she easily made it though that one when she saw Tenacius hanging from a hoop and she watched his broom go flying off..
"Hang on Tenacius! I'll get it!" She said with a smile as she shot off after the boys broom.. she managed to get a hold of it and then she moved back towards her friend.. She came to a stop by him.. and handed him his broom..
"Here you are.. now let's work on getting you unstuck!"

Flail flail flaaaaillll
Well this is just perfect. Speed devil hung up to dry. News at eleven.
The Fireflies were buzzing about his head, as if laughing at the sight before them. Luckily it wasn’t long before he had Sir McLeod and Azura came to his aid "Thank you Sir!" he said gratefully as he was released from his entanglement and brought back to the ground. Slightly out of breath and flustered with all the flailing and the thrill and embarrassment, he took his broom back from the Purple-eyed Claw girl. "Thanks Azura." he grinned sheepishly. Not exactly his finest performance, but he's better than this he swears!
Although he is thankful that his robes were fixed, he soon slipped it off and set it aside. This is why Edna Mode said NO CAPES!
He took flight again, more intense than before, zipping through one hoop after another, from afar looking nothing more than a dark blur nipping at the heels of a tiny bright streak-- and the bright streak just scattered-- yep that was the Gryffindor Ace blowing past the fireflies. And maybe the sound barrier.
With a graceful swoop Tenacius landed back on the ground, curls all a tussled mess on his head, dotted here and there by illuminated quivering dots. Welp he did capture himself a bunch of fireflies though yeah? Mission accomplished!
Yeah thats what crazy is, when its broken you say theres nothing to fix++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++And you pray that everything will be okay, while you're making all the same mistakes

Well, that was that. Justin decided to watch the remaining flyers up in the air from the ground. Everything seemed to be going smoothly with all as he observed.
After enough time, he checked his watch. Merlin's Beard! They were out of time, making him taking his whistle to blow it sharply. "Good work everyone, that'll be it for the day." Time sure did fly when they were having fun. "If you had enough flying you may leave your brooms here or at the broomshed. Class Dismissed!"
--- OOC: Thanks for coming guys. Thread will stay open with Justin here for another few hours if you wish to do anymore RPing here.
Looking both relieved and disappointed at the same time because the les was already over the first year walked with her broom in her hand back to where she had taken it and placed it back on the ground. The good thing now that the les had ended was that she could return to her common room for a few minutes to warm up a little before she needed to leave again.
"Goodbye professor" spoke Leesha while walking away, back toward the castle.
Liv was on her heels. eating her dust.... pixie dust. hehe.
But then like in a poof of the glitter, probably the glitter that her cousin was made of. The chase was on again. Kat for whatever reason was giggling. Yes gigging. She followed after Liv gliding through the hoops behind her.
"Right, behind you Phillips." She said with a chuckle. Speeding up now her heels.
Slipping through more hoops and even catching a firefly, It was right there in front of her, so all she had to do was reach and grab it. Hearing the Mr. McLeod say that class was over. Ahh. She flew through two more of the hoops before heading down to land.
Once she was back on the ground ushe looked around to see where Liv had gotten to. That was so much fun, It was actually nice sometimes to have classes with her. She shouldered her broom and walked past Mr. McLeod. "Thanks for that fun lesson, Mr. McLeod." She looked around wait wasn't Brady here too, she wondered where he was during the flying part.
