The only way to get from here to there twixt the ground and second stair.
Places of interest on your way: the Muggle Studies and History of Magic classrooms, a swamp in the middle of this corridor, and the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom. Traverse this dusty floor with care!
Her first day at Hogwarts and still no class this mean Hogwarts exploring timeeeeeee...!!!
She hasn't had a chance to see other places except her common room, the moving staircase (because she never saw a moving staircase, muggleborn witch here) and the Great Hall but today she's going to fix that. Now, she heard about that secret passage but she couldn't figure out where was it exactly and those stupid moving staircase was not helping at all.

Hopping, yeah! That was what she was doing right now! Hopping without even knowing where she was going! Neeh, of course she had a idea to where she was going, or at last, that was what she told herself while turning corridor after corridor, still hopping and humming softly to herself. "Keep you eyes open Flam because you need to learn the way here too!" Spoke she laughing to her rat, sitting on her shoulder.
Turning again into a corridor she didn't knew she suddenly stopped because she saw a girl she knew, her first friend Alyce. "HEEY! What are you doing here?" Waving at the other girl she stopped right before her and smiled widely. "Did you see the portraits? They're moving!"

Alyce was still thinking whether she would like to try and go to the moving staircase again or not when she heard a familiar noise. "Leesa! Hello. And hello to you too, Vlam." She pet the rat.
What's she doing here? "I'm looking for a secret passage. Did you know that Hogwarts has secret passages. I wonder where it lead to." If she managed to find one that's it. "Yes! I saw they're moving. It almost give me a heart attack." But she has a strong heart so she still alive and kicking. "Did you know the stair move? That evil thing almost got me lost!"

Oooh! Leesha's eyes widened while listening to the other girl, "That's so cool! Can I help?" The first year already started looking around and even placed her hands against the wall, hoping to find some secret loose stones or something like that. "Are you hunting the secret passages from the marauders map? I've heard about those, but never thought that they were real!” Standing still she paused, thinking. “Do you think that there are other students who know where they are? Think about it, how cool would it be if we know all of them, we can hide and play pranks on everybody and get away with it because nobody knows where we’re hiding!” Leesha stopped before a one-eyed witch statue and searched every inch of it but still found nothing. “Maybe we need magic to find and open the passages” muttered Leesha, still deep in thought and chewing on her lower lip.

Can she help? Snort. "Of course you can. You're always welcome to help. Two brains better than one you know." Its always great exploring with a friend. "YES! I heard about it too. I want to ask the older students but haven't got the chance so I thought I'm gonna look for it myself." Well, now she has Leesha so two of them can find the secret passages. "You read my mind!" Now where to look first?
Magic?"Do you know any spell? I only know one. Summoning spell. A Hufflepuff taught me. But I haven't master it yet." Frown. Maybe her friend know a better spell the one that could help them on their quest.

"Good, because I like a adventure like this one!" Grinned Leesha as a response to the other girl. "And besides, we're Slytherins and we're smart, if there is a secret passageway then we will find it! Maybe not today, but we will find it!" Walking once more across the hallway she even looked behind a wand carpet to see if something was hidden behind it, but all what she found was a filthy spider! Bah! Quick she stepped back from the spider, she hated those things! The spider fell to the ground and sat still right before her feet. "I'm going to teach Flam how to kill those things" she muttered irritated while walking around the spider.
"You're right about that" nodded Leesha, "never ask for help before trying to do something for yourself, we're not lazy after al aren't we?!" She said this with a grin, thinking about a few expectations to that rule, like doing homework she didn't liked...
Hmm, if she knew a spell? Well... "I know about a spell, but I'm not sure if it can help us here AND if i can master it, i've only read about it in a book and never really tried it because of the dangers... It's a fire spell so that isn't going to do much for us today unless..." She looked smirking at the other girl, "you like to do some fun and try to make a little fire near another Common room just to create some trouble and make others scared?" She had pulled her want and looked at it, wondering if it would be difficult to use a spell like that, the only time she had used her want was in the shop where she had bought it and then she almost had burned the whole shop down!

GRINS!
Now she liked the other girl MORE! "I think the proper word to describe us Slytherin is cunning." But smart is okay too. Smart is not only belong to Ravenclaw. Slytherin can be smart too. "Yes, we will!" Now she's more determined to find that secret passages. Alyce was walking beside Leesha when she noticed the other girl was checking something under the carpet. Then she saw a spider came out. "Shoo! Go away spider." The red hair made a shooing motion with her hands.
Pffft. Lazy? No. Of course they're not lazy. "If we can do it ourselves why ask for help?" Right? Its more satisfying when you managed to success on something without anyone help.
Fire spell? "That's a very dangerous spell, Leesha." And very scary. Her mom always said don't play with fire. "I don't think that's a good idea." Anything can go wrong with fire. And they're just an ickle first year doing a spell like that without supervision was just scary. They or someone else might end up getting burn. "How about we do the water spell instead?" Water sound less dangerous than fire. "I know the incitation. But I'm not sure I'm able to do that." But she would love to try tho.

"cunning, smart... Whatever you want, but what matters is that we belong to the best house Hogwarts ever had and ever will have, so we belong to the best too!" It was the truth, when Leesha had first heard from her parents that she was going to be a witch someday she had been totally obsessed with that thought! She had hungered for information and had eventually found out some information about the houses and where they were standing for and well...... Slytherin had been her favorite almost immediately!
Seeing how the other girl responded to the spider she felt secretly relieved, she wasn't the only one who disliked spiders. She felt the urge to trash it under her feet and kill it, but she saw no point in it other than that her shoe would be dirty from the spider's broken body. Nope, her shoes were clean and she wanted to keep them that way!
"Exactly! We are too good to ask for help without trying anything first alone!" Nodded Leesha while folding her arms stubbornly. "And besides... How can we prove to the older students that we're good enough if we're asking for help already during our first day? That's not going to happen!" Quick he unfolded her arms and looked around her again, deep in thought. "I'm sure that I've heard rumors that there had been a secret passageway here but I really have no idea where... The stature we're standing next to seems to be solid and unmoving" muttered Leesha, frowning.
Oh... Leesha's grin disappeared when the other girl told her that fire would be too dangerous. Well, she was right of course, fire was dangerous but... It would be fun too and fire was cool! Not even hiding her disappointment she nodded, "water can be fun too, but we need a lot water if we really want to make a good joke. Do you know how to master a water spell? Or do we need to search for it in a book first? And what common room shall we choose to play the prank on? I like Ravenclaw because they are so smart and I like to see them not knowing for once what to do about that water!" She smirked, convinced that even the smartest of them couldn't stop such a spell. Or... She hoped it...

NOD! NOD! NOD!
Alyce couldn't agree more about them being in the best house. When she figured out that she's a witch, he Auntie told her all about Hogwarts. The history, the houses and the beautiful scenery. Her Auntie was a Slytherin and she always wanted to be like her. And now she's one step closer to be like her dear Auntie.
"Yes! Exactly my point. They will think we are two helpless ickle first year." She didn't mean to spat but she did. She just hated it when the older students think that she's helpless. Sure she need help here and there sometime but she's not a baby. "Yeah. And so does the wall. I keep trying to knock on the wall hoping to find a button or something like that but I didn't find any." Grumbles.
The red hair noticed that her friend earlier grin disappeared from her face after she said dangerous. She didn't mean to ruin her parade. No. She just didn't want anyone to get hurt. "Maybe we can do the fire prank after we have a better control with our magic?" She told Leesha hoping that it might lift up her spirit a little bit. Beside her fire idea was brilliant. "I read about it in a book. I know the incantation and wand movement but never try to do it." She could give it a go but if her friend want to look at the book first she didn't mind. Ravenclaw? That mean they need to use that moving staircase again? Gulp. "Umm...Yeah. Ravenclaw is fine by me." Maybe the moving staircase won't be so mean this time because she has Leesha with her, right?

Folding her arms she nodded while listening to the other girl, “and that’s why I’m going to pay a lot attention to some of the more important lessons to prove that I can handle everything without asking for help to anyone just because I’m new here but… She made a face. I’ve read about some lessons and they’re really sounding boring!” Sighing she shrugged, deciding that she would find it out anytime soon because the year had just started and she would have her first lessons really soon.
“I have a idea” she spoke up when Alyce was done talking. “I don’t think that we’re going to find anything right now, we just don’t know where to look or the right spells to help us, so shall we search in the library for some information so that we can search another time? After our little trick with the Ravenclaw tower of course!” She smirked.
Shrugging she nodded, her disappointment already forgotten, she would have her time and her fun, it just was a question when! “A water spell is fine too” she nodded, accepting it that Alyce was a little more careful than she was.
Seeing the slight hesitation from her fried she frowned, not really understanding why. “Is there something wrong with going to Ravenclaw? It isn’t far” She told the other girl. “We only need to take some stairs but that’s not difficult. I only wished that there was a magical elevator or something like that here at Hogwarts because there are really a lot stairs to take, moving or not, it’s tiring.” Sighing she tried to stay optimistic. “But the good thing about not having a elevator is that we’re exercising a lot by taking all those stairs daily.”

Alyce nodded her head here and there while listening to her roommate. She agreed with her completely about paying attention the the lessons. Boring? Huh? "Which one?" She thought all lessons were exciting. Except maybe Arithmancy. She never really good with numbers.
"Good idea! Let's do that!" She rarely went to Library when she's still in Muggle school but she's curious on Hogwarts library. Surely it won't be as bored as Muggle library, no? "Do you know where the Library is?"
Is there something wrong with Ravenclaw tower? No. Absolutely not. Except one small detail, its located on the seventh floor. "Nope. No problem." Well, sooner or later she need to face that moving staircase might as well face it now. "I heard the have it at the Ministry of Magic." Unfortunately they don't have it here. Too bad. "Shall we go to Ravenclaw common room then?"

Harvey heard something about his house as he turned the corner onto the first floor corridor. And almost walked into a couple of girls. Slytherins. And one of them was Leesha!
"Hi!" he grinned, happy to see a friend. Then he turned to her companion, who looked their age too. "Hi, I'm Harvey," he introduced himself, offering a hand.
"Did I hear the two of you say something about Ravenclaw?" he asked, curiosity colouring his voice. Maybe he could help.
He was a Claw, he knew lots of things. And he was curious about the other houses too. He could find out more about Slytherin from them, perhaps? His sisters had loved teasing him by not telling him much about their house - or any other. They claimed that until he was sorted it wouldn't be fair to tell him too much about any house. Harvey was convinced they just liked torturing him.

Leesha looked surprised too when Alyce really seemed to like every lesson at Hogwarts because she herself had a few she absolutely didn’t liked while she completely liked other lessons. ”I absolutely dislike Divination and Arithmancy” confessed Leesha with a shrug. ”I simply don’t believe in Divination, it’s all just fake if you’re asking me, if even Muggles are performing it and are fooling around with it then why should I believe in it here at Hogwarts?” asked Leesha sounding serious. ”And about Arithmancy… I just have trouble with it, even at home I didn’t liked my classes and those were even easier than the lessons here at Hogwarts” Sighed Leesha, already tired while thinking about those lessons.
I haven’t been there but I know where it should be” Told Leesha, thinking about the introduction en information she had read about in the common room already during her first day at Hogwarts. Suddenly grinning at her friend she spoke with a faked serious voice, ”Well… There are strict rules in the library so I suppose that IF we’re going there that we need to behave ourselves” spoke Leesha with a suspicious twinkle in her eyes.
Seeing again how Alyce looked slightly troubled she wondered what she had missed, was there something going on in the school she didn’t knew about? Deciding that if it really was important that the other girl would talk about it herself, now it was time to go to the Ravenclaw tower to investigate! “I really hope that Hogwarts too will get elevators like the ones in the Ministry” spoke Leesha, already thinking about how fast she could travel trough the castle if they didn’t needed to use the stairs all the time.
Leesha opened her mouth to tell the other girl that she was ready to go when she heard somebody coming toward them and then, a familiar sounding voice! It was Harvey, the first year she had met during the most boring lesson she ever had followed and would follow. “Hi Harvey” she smiled at the boy when he stopped before them, secretly wondering how much of the conversation he had overheard before walking up toward them. He was a Ravenclaw so maybe he wouldn’t like it that she and Alyce wanted to play a prank on them.
Looking quick at Alyce she wondered how much they should tell the boy and if they could trust him to NOT prevent them from having their fun. “What shall we do? Tell him so that he can help us?” She whispered to her friend. “I think that we can trust him” she added, still in a whisper.

Alyce was not surprise when her friend said she's not very fond with Divination and Arithmancy. "I dislike Arithmancy too." Who does? But Divination she kinda like it. "I'm not that fond with Divination but I don't dislike it either. Its an okay subject I think." Shrugs. "Well, if you put that way." That's a very good argument.
"You know here its?" She was a bit surprise by this information. Did Leesha paid attention to that boring introduction on their first day here? Probably. The red hair tried so hard to contain her giggle when her roommate suddenly speaking with a faked serious voice. "Yes Ma'am!" Salute. Giggles.
"Yes, I don't mind an elevator or two." It would made her life here in Hogwarts easier. Much more easier. "Imagine if you're late to class, you just need to take the elevator." No need to run around the stairs.
Alyce was waiting for her friend reply when she heard a new voice. "Hi Harvey. I'm Alyce." She gave the boy a small wave and shook his hand. If she's not mistaken the boy is a Ravenclaw. Yup. he's a Ravenclaw. Oh no. Were they being busted before doing their awesome prank?
"Maybe. We need an insider to get us to the Ravenclaw common room and I think he's our key." She whispered back. "And he could be our Porthos." Beside Leesha said he could be trusted and she trust her friend.

Nodding to her friend she turned to Harvey, thinking that it was a smart idea to have a insider. "We're going to play a joke on the Ravenclaw tower" spoke Leesha calmly while watching Harvey to see how he was responding to the news. "You can help if you want and we even can try to hide you so that none of you roommates will be suspicious of you" offered Leesha and she flashed a big grin at the Ravenclaw boy before looking back at Alyce to grin some more. This could be fun, really fun if everything will go according to plan.

"Hi, Alyce," he smiled at the Slytherin girl. "It's nice to meet you."
He waited and pretended not to notice them whispering together. They were planning something. He was sure of it. He was curious, of course - if they were so secretive it was bound to be something fun. His sister's had always been the ones pulling pranks, both at home and at school (from what he'd heard, anyway) but he had never had a companion to do that with.
That, it seemed, was about to change.
As he listened to their plan, he felt himself smile. He felt excited - nervous, too, of course, this could get them in a whole pile of trouble...
"That sounds fun, but... are you sure it's a good idea?" he was pretty sure the girls had their minds made up already, though, if Alyce was anything like Leesha. Stubbornness should be added to the typical Slytherin characteristics, he decided.
"If you guys are sure, I'm in," he smiled, ignoring the butterflies in his stomach. "But we have to plan it all out properly, to make sure we don't get into trouble. If we could make it look like the job of one of the ghosts or Peeves... spread some rumours that he was seen around the Common Room around the time that we pull the prank... what exactly is it you want to do anyway?" he asked, realising he didn't even know that while already getting carried away with details.
He liked plannning and details. At least, if he was interested in the topic, but this most definitely interested him.
Alyce nodded her head when her friends told Harvey about their plan. "Yes what she said. So don't run around telling your housemate, Harvey!" If the boy smart he won't do that. Good idea? Snort. "Its a BRILLIANT IDEA!" They already made up their mind so there's nothing he could do to change that.
"I like how your mind work, Harvey. We might keep you around after this." Yes. Having a Ravenclaw was a good idea. "You do the rumors things because its your common room if we start the rumor they might suspect us." She told the Ravenclaw. "Well, Leesha want to make a little fire around your common room to scare people but I said its too dangerous." They still an ickle firstie after all. "So instead of fire we gonna use water instead." If he want to add something to their prank he's welcome to do so.

While looking grinning at her two friends, and yes, she considered Harvey as her friend too she folded her arms. This was really going to be fun, three first years making a mess together, nothing could be more fun to do! She really hoped to create a mess and to see how others were going to respond to it. Water was okay... She could think about a few things to do with water... "Maybe we should add something to the water so that it's getting a color like ink. That way we can leave a signature behind!" Turning toward Harvey she looked calculating. "Where do you think it's best to do the spell? We can't get in the common room because then everybody will know that we had a insider and the ghosts aren't entering the common room themselves I think... We need to do it on a public place so that everybody could have done it but close enough to the common room to make a big mess..."

[b]Harvey listened to the girls' ideas, mind spinning. Despite slight discomfort at the potential trouble they could get into, he found himself getting more and more excited!
[b]"Water sounds good," he agreed. It wasn't nearly as dangerous as fire. "Yes, we should definitely use colours!" he agreed with Leesha. Pausing for a moment, he could just picture the entire scene. He had it!
"What about right outside the common room? We could set up water balloons, shrink them and place them on top of the entrance, each one with a different colour inside, so that when someone opens the door they get one on their head! And charm them so they expand and get bigger as they fall of course. And make sure only one at a time falls to make it last longer. Maybe we could see if there are any charms to make them explode in patterns or something? And we should also place them there at night, that way none of the paintings will be able to tell on us, and the next morning I can just mention that I saw Peeves hanging around the night before, if someone asks... although to be honest, perhaps making an enemy of Peeves isn't the best idea, if no one asks and we do it at night we might not even need any rumours, we'll just pretend we knew nothing of it."
That was probably the longest speech Harvey had given since his arrival at Hogwarts. He also gestured a lot.
