Now that Kat was able to take Care of magical creatures as an elective, it was starting to become one of her favorite subjects. She had signed up for the creature companions and visited the creatures at least once a week. Feeding, petting, and playing with all of the creatures. This was a chance for her to show her parents that she should have a crup and bring it to stay in the barn next term, or after christmas depending on when she got the crup. Also her and Henry were working on a little project, to ride a winged horse. The blonde third year headed to the class. BEANBAGS. Wow she was really going to enjoy this lesson today, "Good Morning, Professor Hernandez." She smiled gleefully, even though in was still quite early in the day. Livy must have thought it was too early to be in class too. Was she actually snoozing over there? Haha. Spotting Hattie, She sat down in the beanbag beside her. "Hey friend." She beamed. This made it all the more exciting to sit with her friend. Looking around she also spotted Henry. Of course she had to wave at him. |
Care of Magical Creatures was going to be the very very very best elective course. They'd only just started the year, and Katy could tell it already. Granted, they hadn't had to deal with anything ugly or creepy or gross yet, but Katy's parameters for creatures were pretty broad. She was excited. Not so much about the beanbags, which made it seem silly and not at all like they were gonna be learning stuff, but everything else. Yeah, everything else was VERY exciting. "Good day, Professor." |
Janelle was in a particularly good mood this morning. Care of Magical Creatures was one of her favorite classes and she was looking forward to today's lesson. Enjoying her a.m. walk, she arrived at the destination with time to spare. "Good morning professor, Janelle said cheerfully. Janelle wondered what fun was in store for the class today. She had a feeling it was going to be something good, she just did. Finding an empty beanbag chair, she plopped down and got comfortable. Class should be starting any minute now. In the meantime, she got everything ready. She could not wait. |
Colt rubbed his eyes because he was much of a morning person. He didn't care if the professor called him out on bringing coffee with him but he desperately needed it. Least this dude didn't make a 7am class. If he did then he would kill this Professor or never attend his lessons. Anywho he was surprised he made it to this one but he promised his folks he would be a little bit more academic after getting a pretty intense lecture from his father. He held his cup of coffee close to him and he muttered, "Morning.." then he proceeded to plop down on his bean bag. He realized he had his cup of coffee and it spilt on his pants. "Bloody merlin..." he muttered and cleaned the spot with his wand. "Well this morning is going well.." he muttered sarcastically to no one in particular. |
Kaycee covered a yawn behind her hand. IT WAS EAAARLY. They better be about to see the crack of dawn magical wish granting unicorns. Or something like that. Otherwise, this could be down at a more reasonable hour. Like... at 2. Two was a good time. That was after the time it was acceptable to expect teenagers out of bed. "Hello Professor." she greeted as she passed. She then plopped herself into one of the nice bean bag chairs. Ahh. Was it nap time now? |
This probably wasn't the best class for Cornelius to take. He could care less for creatures--save for his bearded dragon, Mustard--but it was a subject he needed to improve on more. If he wanted to be the very best at everything, then this was a step towards that. Upon arriving, his gaze spotted |
Alyce was really excited for this class. This is one of the classes that she was looking forward to. And she didn't mind waking up a little bit early, she's a morning person after all. Beside they said early bird catches the worm. She wondered which creatures they gonna learn today? Maybe the Winged Horses. Oh please be the Winged Horses. With that thought, the first year made her way towards the backyard near the barn. "Morning, Professor." She gave the Professor a smile. OH! Look beanbag chairs. She loved beanbag chairs. "And nice chair, Professor." The red hair said before she plopped down into one of the beanbag. She has a feeling that this lesson gonna be SUPER FUN! |
Well, obviooooously Vivian would find herself up early for a Care of Magical Creatures lesson. Kinda like her mantra to be in this class and as well as Herbology, y'know? So yes, she was HERE and she was determined to get the best seat anyway. It was a shame that other pretty Professor Draper wasn't around anymore, but she was hopeful that the new Professor would be as great as him. He wouldn't be in this position if he weren't qualified though, right? Skipping as usual to the classroom that they were supposed to be having the lesson today, Vivian was all smug. That was because she just found out she grew a couple inches over the summer - centimeters, actually, but you wouldn't want to break such a happy mood, right? C'mon. The now TWELVE year old skipped inside the room and beamed at the Professor. "HIIII Professor," she greeted. He wouldn't notice the tiny growth spurt because he was new to the school but.... whatevs. And, as always, she flopped on a bean bag situated right in the first row. Yup, her favourite place. |

"Good morning, Professor." Owen greeted the man with his signature grin as he entered the backyard. Then walked towards Henry. Obviously he was sitting on the beanbag next to him. "Hey. Did you run? I fell back asleep, sorry." |
For some reason, Brooklyn just equated CoMC lessons with mornings by now. There wasn’t much of a reason for that, but it just was. As evidence, once again she was walking to wherever the lesson was today practically right after breakfast, munching on an orange slice as she walked. By the time she arrived at the classroom, she had finished and took her wand out to vanish the remains before she headed into class. She doubted there would be any reason to keep orange peels in this lesson, if there was any reason to consider them relevant to CoMC in the first place. She still generally only had an interest in dragons anyhow. So it was a moot point. She’d given the professor a slight nod as she looked for an open beanbag anyhow. “Good morning Professor Hernandez,” she added with a slight smile, settling into her chosen seat. It wasn’t as if there was anyone else she saw that required acknowledgment, but she was there anyway. She wasn’t about to leave now. Besides, the lesson still could prove interesting. |
Timmy was nervous about this lesson, seriously he had no idea what to expect but he wasn't expecting kittens or puppy's in this lesson, being muggle born he was very nervous about this whole situation. "Hello Professor." Timmy spoke politely. He now though had to figure out what he was supposed to do next, this school was weird. |
It wasn't that early. Hadleigh had already gone for a morning run, spent time with Sammie in the barn, had breakfast, showered and gotten herself ready by the time she had to make her way back down onto the grounds. Pushing the strap of her bag up higher onto her shoulder and pulling her hair back into a quick messy ponytail Hady entered the yard near the barns. "Hello Professor," she greeted warmly turning and waving at everyone else that was already seated. "Morning everyone." Yep, mass greeting for all her fellow peers that way no one got left out. Taking a quick look around she found herself an empty beanbag chair, nice choice by the way Professor, and sat herself down in it. A few small wiggles to get herself settled and the teen was good and ready to go. Oh yeah, no point in holding her bag on her lap. She let that drop softly onto the ground at her side for when she was sure to need it in a few minutes. Now what were they going to be working with today?! |

Noticing several of his friends as they joined the class, he gave out a few waves and smiles. One of which was Nat who opted for the seat next to him. "Golden ticket? How'd I get so lucky?" he laughed. "Yeah, me too. Any guesses what it'll be today?" He couldn't really tell from the set-up. He also caught sight of Kat as she walked in. Not sitting by him today? That was alright, she still got a smile and wave sent her way. Oh, and she was sitting by Hattie, who also got the same from Henry. It was probably good that he didn't sit by too many of his friends anyway or else he'd be too distracted with talking and probably get in trouble with the professor. And there was his buddy, Owen, on the other side of him. "Hey, mate." He chuckled and nodded his confirmation. "Yeah, I sure did.. Oh, that's alright, I know it's a little early. But if you'd rather after classes today, we can go for a run later." He and Remy used to go after school until he somewhat got in the habit of getting up early. And he wouldn't force Owen, but he also wanted to be encouraging. He shifted again in his seat, directing his attention forward. Was it time to start yet? |

"Good morning Professor," he said as he walked into the yard. Many of the students were already seated. Harvey spotted an empty seat near to a boy who looked about his age, and made his way over. "Is this seat free?" he asked with a smile. "I'm Harvey, by the way." |

Genny woke up late, she quickly put her hair up in a bun and raaaaaan down to the great hall for a quick breakfast (a younger student offered her his sandwich so she took it gladly and promised something else in return) then continued running out to the Grounds where their creatures lesson was held. Now this she would call a happy and fun class. "'Morning!" She said out of breath, the sandwich is almost gone, working on it as she chewed fast. |

"It's nice to meet you," he said, lowering his voice. He was pretty sure it was okay to talk before the class officially started - other students were doing it, after all, and the Professor was clearly still waiting for students to appear, so it must be okay, right? "You're in Gryffindor, right?" he asked, glancing at Timmy's badge. "I'm in Ravenclaw. First year, so everything's a bit overwhelming, I can still hardly believe I'm here!" He was babbling. Why did he always have to babble when he was nervous?! |
It was a bit too early for dancing and flailing, even for Matt. The boy didn't drag himself to the lesson, though. He had been only half awake during breakfast, but that had been what, 10 minutes ago? More? Less? Around that, he thought. He was alright now. Those beanbags, though!!! Gggrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeat!! Matt really liked beanbags. "Hi, professor." FLOP. He dived belly-first onto one of the ones at the front so he could still see what was going on clearly. Aahhh, nice and comfy. |

Then, before he could stop himself, his inner insecurities got the best of him. "I hope it's okay I sit here. You probably have way cooler people that are on their way still." After all, he was fifteen minutes early. And the older students didn't have to leave the Great Hall with plenty of time to get lost on the way like he did. Now Finn was just hoping the lesson would start sooner rather than later. First because the longer he sat here the more out of place he felt next to someone who probably secretly didn't want him there. But mostly he didn't know what he didn't know yet, and that was never good. He wanted to start catching up to the people that had grown up around these creatures their whole lives! |

"Miss Phillips, I hope you are awake enough to attend this lesson." Or not. Jordan watched the lioness fell asleep as she sat on a beanbag. Let's see, if she still asleep once the class started, he's gonna spray some water on her face. Quote:

"Do you want me to start the class earlier than this, Mr. Bellaire? Or put your name for an early morning barn assignment?" Jordan asked him. Really, why so many students thought that having a class at 9 AM is too early? Kids nowadays... But at least he woke Miss Phillips up. Quote:
"Morning, Miss Jenkins." He simply greeted the Gryffindor. Quote:

"Good morning, Miss Fairfield." Jordan said to her. At least she looked very enthusiast with this class. Well, she should be. Quote:

Did she just run from the castle? Well, at least Miss Tate did show that she didn't want to be late for a class and he appreciated it. "Good morning, Miss Tate. You're lucky that I haven't started yet." Quote:
His watch showed that it's 9 AM sharp already. Time to start the class and put away his coffee mug. "Good morning, Everybody!" Jordan spoke, half-loudly that all the students could hear him and those who was being sleepy sleeperson would be awake. "Today, I am gonna teach about one of my favorite creatures ever, and it's the reason why I decided to pursue my career in Magizoology and especially, being a breeder of them.." Anyone could guess? Nope? Okay. Waving his wand to the board, there's a picture of winged horse revealed. "Each of you should give me one thing that you know about winged horse." Anything, although he kinda hope that they wouldn't mention some obvious things like "It has wings" or something like that. OOC: I hope that no one will post his character late after this. Feel free to jump in and pretend that your students have been arrived early before. Just mention ONE thing about the winged horse that your charrie know ^^ and the class will be continue in approximately 20-24 hours after this post. |
Okay, it was time for class to begin and Henry resumed his focus to the front of the class area and on their teacher. He wondered what the professor's favorite creature was and what they would be studying, and as he revealed the image on the board, the fourth year let out a small gasp. Winged horses were one of his favorites too, and he was rather excited to be studying them today as he knew something about them. AND WOULD THEY GET TO RIDE THEM?! His hand immediately shot up. "I know that there are several different breeds of winged horses and one of them is called Granian. Granians are really fast and are the kind of winged horses used in races." Of course he loved fast and he loved to fly, so that would be at the forefront of his mind. He knew loads of other stuff but professor asked for one, so he lowered his hand after he was done with his answer. |
Kimi thought and thought and said "Well i think that a winged horse is a really strong flyer" Kimi wasnt sure it was right but it was worth a chance |
It didn't matter what Livvy was yelling, the moment she did so, the Gryffindor jumped out of his seat in favour of getting himself clear of anything she might have tried firing at him. A quick glance was spared at his quill to ensure it was also unharmed. The term never tickling a sleeping dragon, it very much applied to Olivia Phillips, regardless of the fact she'd hadn't ACTUALLY done anything but get startled awake. "Circe Livvy." Blink. "Sorry about that." The boy's attention returned to the Professor. "I'd like you to do neither, Sir." How was that not obvious? He wasn't saying he LIKED this hour, Merlin. Blaise took a few seconds to settle his nerves after the heart attack that was Olivia then he seated himself once again. "Midday lessons would be lovely--if you're taking suggestions." It sounded like it, mhm, because he obviously wasn't insinuating that Blaise should come earlier. It just ....just no. No thanks. No. Winged horses. Right. Well. "They have wings." Funny that. |
They were going to get to learn about Winged Horses? That was so cool! Harriet practically beamed. That made her so happy. They were pretty and she was excited to learn about them! She was a little fidgety actually, and almost fell off of her beanbag. She was very excited indeed! She had known that there were some not so nice creatures, so she was glad that they were going to be learning about something pretty. She obviously wanted to learn about all creatures, but to get a pretty and cool one for their first lesson of the year was pretty great She racked her brain, trying to think of a really good fact to say. She tilted her head as she thought, and then she raised her hand. "The Beauxbatons Academy came to Hogwarts in a carriage pulled by Abraxan, a type of winged horse for the Triwizard Tournament in 1994. And they only drank single malt Whiskey. Which is a pretty interesting diet" That was a pretty interesting fact. |
After being kicked awake, it had taken several moments for Olivia to remember exactly where she was and what she was meant to be doing. You know how it is ... when you don't wake up by your own means. It could be very disorienting. So, it took a fair amount of time to get herself 'back in the game', so to speak. "It's okay, Bellaire." Her voice was scratchy and dry from lack of use. She was clearly exhausted. Oh, and Trixe had been waving at her. Returning the gesture with one hand and covering her mouth mid!yawn with the other, Liv looked upon their professor a bit dazed. "They're majestic to look at." Okay, so that probably wasn't what the professor had been hoping for but it WAS true, nonetheless. |
