Holding onto the reins tightly, he waited till the girl had her arms securely around his waist and had squeezed the horse with her legs. And he waited. Uhh.. shouldn't the horse be flying now? He thought a moment about what he knew about horses. "Um, try nudging him firmly with the heel of your foot too." And he would squeeze a bit with his legs too.. starting now. Hopefully both actions would prompt that horse to get in the air.

Miranda could tell her name for their Winged horse was lost on him,,,Poor boy... She giggled a bit... " We can call him whatever you like... ReallY" To think he hadn't heard the name before did puzzle her.. she thought that the book she had read was rather popular amogst her own kind.. apparently not.. Oh well.. never mind all that ....

Ah yes, so up on the back of the animal she sat legs squeezed and waited for them to take off... And nothing... what the... Oh... right a bit of a jab in the ribs should do the trick she thought *

" Right... what if we were to both give him a bit of a poke... I bet he'd move on then, yeah?"
and with that gave the great horse a good heeling in the sides...

He followed Blaise to where the horses were and stroked the mane of the one Blaise chose gently. "Good horsey.." Ahhh he seemed to like being stroked. Good choice Blaise, this one didn't seem to mind them.

The fourth year pulled himself up on the horse and positioned himself in a spot comfortable for him and the horse.

"Get on."

Look at Bentley playing Horse whisperer. Well good for him--good for them really considering the boy didn't particularly feel like being thrown from the horse the moment they got on.

Good on you, mate.

Much like the Professor had shown, the boy carefully mounted the horse after his cousin. Saddle? What saddle? They didn't need such frivolous things. Safety wasn't exactly at the top of their list right now. To be frank, it fell several pegs below having a good time and anyway a saddle wouldn't have comfortably fit them both so why bother?

"Get a move on, we got a lot of air to cover before the Professor decides the class is over. Shame you didn't bring your camera." But that reminded him. The boy pocketed his quill and notepad, not wanting them to get lost just trying to keep up with him.

Now then, up up and away--or something like that!

Eh… “No, I haven’t but I’ve seen them a few times” spoke she slowly, choosing her words carefully. Still with her hand touching the animal she needed to confess that the winged horse seemed to behave itself but she still didn’t liked those animals!

Why was he still thinking that she was afraid? That was not supposed to happen! She was a Slytherin and she couldn’t afford it to show weakness! “Alright” nodded Leesha while taking some of the food what had been prepared for the students to give the animals and she walked back, trying very hard to show that she really was brave and she outstretched her hand with the food on top of it toward the winged horse, prying in secret that the animal wouldn’t bite of her hand. Buuuut, the winged horse seemed to be in a good mood and it just took the food from her hand without biting her and THAT was a good sign!

Taking a deep breath she looked at the Philipe for further directions.

Philipe smiled watching her feeding the horse, "Are you ready to try to mount him?" He still stroked the horses side. "And after that it's really all about getting everything set to fly." He personally was very ready for that, "Mounting is actually pretty easy, you just need to swing a leg over his side gently..."

He swung his leg over the small horse slowly and just stayed for a second to show her the proper stance when she got on. Sitting up straight, keeping a grip on the horse with his legs, but not enough squeezing to make him take off. So long as she had him behind her, the first year didn't really have to worry about falling off the horse, he would keep her safe and secure between his arms... He didn't really plan on handing her the reigns if she didn't know how to control the horse.

She nodded as she took a hold of them, making sure to be careful with how she held them, firm, but not to firm.. with confidence... but not too tight.. Az took in all the instruction silently as she held onto the reins before she started to get balanced in her seat.

"All right, I'll keep my knees bent." They were actually pretty comfortable how they were and out of the way of the wings, so that was nice. Azura nodded as she scooted around a little to find her balance. The horse was large, but she was able to find a rather comfortable spot in the middle of him, on the saddle.. She sat up straight and held onto the reins to demonstrate to Nat all that she had just taught her. "Okay, I think I've got it." She said with a grateful smile down at the older girl.

That was sweet. Azura was going to do great. Apollo was calm and seemed super happy. So the flying was going to be a breeze and she was excited to get to do it. This had to be what it felt like to train and give lessons. Maybe Alex was right, maybe she needed to be a winged horse trainer if singing didn't pan out. Not that she'd ever think of anything else but singing.

"I'm going to get on behind you." She knew it was time to mount Apollo as well and she moved getting on the stool. Throwing her leg over she pulled herself up. She had ridden them without so getting up behind someone wasn't too hard. She had sat behind Vince last term when he flew. Once she was up on Apollo behind Azure she reached in front of her to grab the reins for a moment. "Now like I said earlier just hold them tightly so you don't drop them, but not tightly pulling back. That will pick his head up and cause him stress. These will be what helps us move left and right." She handed them over to allow Azure full control.

3. Finding balance and positioning your legs
4. Holding the bridle/rein
5. Signaling them to take off by squeezing them with your legs
6. Pulling of the bridle/rein gently to land
7. Dismounting.

There were complications, and not from the winged horse. Cornelius pet it, a bit hesitatingly, while at the same time ready to grip Lancelot's robes in case he went PLOP down the horse. Luckily that didn't happen.

Cornelius was ready to signal the horse when he realized--"You're gonna haf' to hold on to me."

"No," he mumbled, face going a bit pink.

No he did not.

On the other hand, he should start introducing himself like Cornelius did. That had a serious majestic ring to it. What wasn't majestic was the holding situation. Since it wasn't stated where exactly, his hands flailed about some before making up his mind and settled for placing them on the Slytherin's shoulders. Adjustments would happen if necessary.

"Ready."

Ace

Yes, Samantha had stood there the whole time waiting for Tenacius to get his answer, which seemed to take forever, because she was intent on riding with him. But when the answer came, she couldn't help but exclaim loudly. Rubbish! What utter nonsense."

She stood, continuing to pet the creature. You know what? Screw it, she was going to ride this thing by herself, or maybe convince Ace to do it with her anyways. She didn't need this kind of negativity and doubt in her life anyways. Except, the though of what would happen of she stole a horse seemed unpleasant. She didn't want to go to detention just because this professor was an idiot. Breaking out of her fumingrage, she noticed Ace had found an older student, and saddled up to them. A look around revealed there were no other older students, so she just stood there and gave Ace pointed looks.

Azura nodded as Natalia got up behind her and she adjusted her balance just a little bit. If only to make sure the older girl behind her had enough room. She really didn't want her falling off. Thankfully there seemed to be plenty of room on Apollo for them both to fit comfortably and stay on, which was the most important part.

She turned her attention back to Nat as the Slytherin reached in front of her to show her how to properly grip the reins. She nodded her dark head as she took the reins from the 6th year and held them on her own.

"Got it, so hold onto them tightly, but don't pull back. " The third year repeated as she adjusted her grip on the leather straps to make sure Apollo had plenty of room for his head to move how he wished.

"All right, I think we might be ready to fly? " Azura asked as she swallowed a bit, she was nervous.. but ready.

... what????? Genny frowned up at Paige when she let her hand down. "Why not?" Why couldn't they fly Thestrals? They were moving on already?? What the hell?? The Third year let the small group go a few steps ahead of her as she started flapping her arms around trying to touch the invisible creatures, maybe she'd grab one and just do the same steps she'd do on an Abraxan.

Alas, her hands did not meet anything solid and she was forced to follow the small group towards the winged horsie with a straight face and a little bit of disappointment. Aethonan, fine. They were fine. Wait, not even Hattie wants to fly?? Genny was now frowning with raised eyebrows at the two Hufflepuffs. Was this a Hufflepuff thing? "I want to fly." She stated again. Maybe Sam would join her. "So, we just pet it and get to know him, right? Will he be frightened since we're this many?" The answer? They have to try.

Genny accepted the carrot happily and slowly made a few steps towards the chestnut colored horse. "It's very much like a muggle horse. Except for the wings. Hello horsie." She cooed at it and raised her hand in front of it, leaving a proper space. The horse slowly reacted and approached closer, but not taking the carrot in yet. Genny seized the chance to pet it instead.

SPOILER!!: you two :3

Letting Genny to be the one to lure the winged horse closer, Paige turned her attention to Hattie and...wasn't too terribly surprised by what she said. Particularly after what she had just gone through - she had overheard enough cases at St. Mungo's of similiar conditions.

"That's alright, Hattie," she smiled, gently resting a hand on her shoulder. "We'll get you to at least pet one." Which seemed to be something easily attainable as Genny's efforts went rewarded and had lured one of the creatures over.

Pocketing her own carrot in her robes for now, Paige too held out her hand for the aethonan and waited until it took noticed, big eyes meeting her own, and then gently rested it on its flank. Stroking its side gently a few times, Paige looked towards Genny and got down on one knee for the Gryffindor to use as a step for getting on. Her own mounting....to be determined.

"I think he'll let you ride him now," she nodded, patting her thigh and nodding the third year over.

Harriet was still feeling pretty sad that she couldn't fly. She guessed she could, but then if anything did happen it wouldn't really be fair. Especially not on Genny and Paige, so she made the decision to not fly. She could just look, and see how pretty they were. And just be disappointed later. Maybe she'd owl her mom and get her to clarify how much the "No flying" detail was. Surely she'd be okay with this, but she wasn't sure.

Harriet just smiled up at Paige. She wasn't sure if the girl knew exactly what had happened, but she seemed to understand and that meant a lot. It was nice to not have to explain why she couldn't fly. "I'd really like to pet one" Because they were pretty. And she wanted to do one.

And yay! Here one was. "It's so pretty..." Hattie murmured, as she gently petted the winged horse. It was so big and pretty, and Hattie loved it. She watched as Paige got down on one knee to help Genny on. "Are you gonna fly too Paige?"

Trying hard to keep her face straight she followed Phillipe's lead and walked up toward one of the mounting blocks so that she could follow. Leesha wasn't exactly the biggest first year, actually, she was one of the smallest! She was even for a eleven year old small for her age so yes, she definitely needed a mounting block to get up. 'Okay, follow his lead, do exactly as he did' she muttered silently to herself while hoping at the same time that the winged horse wasn't going to step away just when she herself moved at that same moment. She moved quick and sat on the back of the horse and she didn't liked it a thing! The only good thing was that Phillipe sat behind her, he knew what he was doing so she guessed that she was safe.

Imma 3rd year expert on Abraxans. Wanna fly with me??" He could explain what expert means if and when the other boy agrees. He needed to secure a partner now. Life story can come later.

Younger student barreling approaching him. Expert on Abraxans, huh? Owen pulled up his grin to one side before nodding, "Yeah, sure. Let's see how expertly you are. I'll let you pick which horse." Or which Abraxan for that matter.

Post 1: *pretending we're working with an unknown older student*

Olivia had been so fascinated with her chosen horse's outer beauty, that she'd failed to catch whatever the Professor had said next. There were words about, she'd simply been too caught up to notice them. She'd found an elusive brush, and though she'd not been able to reach around its entire body, she'd gently brushed and groomed whatever parts she could reach; namely its sides and the tops of the massive legs. Again, this wasn't her first interaction with horses (even if wings hadn't been involved the other times).

Once she'd finished up with that bit, Liv had to figure out how to actually get herself up onto it. Yes, she'd missed the instructions, but everyone else around her was going about this, helping each other with the reins and wings. There was probably loads that needed to be noted, and she was sure she wasn't going to be doing it 100% right, but how different could it truly be? Years of experience with muggle horses teaches one things.

No, the real struggle here was height, because, of course, she'd picked the biggest type of winged horse to be working with. Princess!brain could be thanked for that one. Majestic and pure white... It was all very Cinderella-equs. The difference, NATURALLY, being that this creature hadn't been transfigured from a house mouse. EVEN WITH THE MOUNTING BLOCK, she just wasn't comfortable enough in the knowledge that she wouldn't accidentally kick its wing. So.

OH, an older student. Yep, she definitely needed one of those. Recognizing that she would not be mounting this horse by her own volition, the small blonde set about finding a suitable candidate. If only Rooney had been available. She'd have demanded he work with her... but alas! Grabbing a random student, who looked to be much older than she, Liv effectively coaxed them into partnering up. You know, through such torture devices as babbling and excited flailing. Wooorked like a charm!

Allowing her partner to fuss with the saddle bit, Liv was simply content to watch them work. She knew how to do this with muggle horses, but again, the wings were new to her and... she just felt better not being the one. Simple as that. Once that was all taken care of and secure, she got a little boost, finally properly able to take hold of the reins. Careful of her leg, because this was a MUCH bigger creature than she was... Haha, she wasn't a creature, but you got her meaning... she tugged herself into position. HIGH ATOP THE HORSE, like a queen. Yassss.

Hello, subjects!

She did have to remind herself that they wouldn’t just be running but flying on the winged horse’s back as she surely didn’t want to fall.

“Uh huh…all good,” she answered the Gryffindor. “Ready when you and Icarus are,” Cass added, letting the older girl take charge. She wasn't afraid, but she was grateful for the assistance.

Char nodded and gave Icarus another stroke then squeezed her heels against the Aethonan's sides. Icarus tossed his head and then took off and Char eased him into a lazy spiral going ever higher but not toooo high.

She couldn't help but smile because even though this wasn't new to her it was still an amazing feeling.

"You okay, Cassie? Isn't this cool?" She felt like they'd be called back wayyy too soon. That was usually what professors did.

Genny noticed how Paige was sympathetic with Hattie over not wanting to fly. Or not being able to? She didn't dwell on that, though, time was running out and she still hadn't flown a horse! She just offered the young Hufflepuff a small smile. "You can watch me, I know how to ride a horse. Our relatives have winged horses in a stable and sometimes mom takes us riding." Not as regularly as one would hope but enough that Genny understood how to fly one. Never was she allowed to ride alone though, just like here. Except here she didn't have her mother hovering over her and shooting orders, so she could be creative.

Once Paige knelt down, the Gryffindor grinned and said a quick thank you before hopping up using the older girl's thigh as a momentum platform, and pulling herself up on the horse's back. Well, she was hanging on the horse's back for a moment before she grabbed onto the saddle well and hauled her legs up with her Beater-strong arms. The horse seemingly felt everything and so it started moving and kicked his rear hooves in the ground, Genny's brow furrowed in concentration as she held on for dear life and started shifting herself on the saddle for a good position. The horse kept moving unsettled by this riding business, Genny looked at Paige as she held onto the reins and sat up straight trying to find that balanced sitting position.

Still lightly running her hand along the creature's flank, Paige found her once again wishing that emphasis had been placed on the care aspect of the subject's title. Grooming these creature's massive wings was surely an intricate process, right? Intricate and something that kept everyone grounded. Just seeing people flying about was giving her a bit of anxiety...and why she had yet to actually attend one of Cassius quidditch matches. Although the chance to do so now felt like it had entirely slipped away from her...

"Hmmmmmm?" she squeaked, looking over at Hattie. "Oh...I...um..." she muttered, the weight of Genny's foot on her thigh silencing her for a moment. "I'm not terrible keen on..heights..." Unlke Genny who looked as though she could be shot out of a rocket and hurtled across the quidditch pitch all the while wearing a giddy smile on her face. But that was Gryffindors for you.

..........and now she was looking at the seventh year. Oh hopping holly...

"You look good up there, Genny," she said, giving two thumbs up before being nudged in the arm firmly by the aethonan who was now seeking the carrot in her pocket - which she then gave to him, of course.

They made it to the horse and Echo held out a hand for it to take the treat, it ate it. "cool" this was fun for her too okay, she started to pet it. "okay come pet. then we can get on it" she smiled this was going rather smooth.

Oh my word, this girl was worse than his mother. "Nuh-uh, not even my baby cousins get freaked out when I yell." Plssss, girl. There was no convincing Matt of that. "Nice to meet you too, I suppose." Mum.

Welp, Slytherin lady was already falling behiiiiind because before she had gotten the treats, Matt was petting the Abraxan. Hehehe! Pet, pet, pet. The creature's side, always. Nice and slow? Um, how about nooooo?? Matt sloooowwwwwly nodded at the girl, but right after he was done petting the creature, he JUMPED UP to get onto it. MOUNTING THE ABRAXAN IT WAS! And she couldn't tell him NOT to jump because THE ANIMAL WAS MASSIVE and there was no way Matt could get up there without jumping.

"THIS IS AWESOOOME!!!!" The boy yelled after he found a good sitting position, both fists raised up in VICTORYYY!!!

It wasn't really second nature to Matt, but this wasn't as difficult as some might make it sound like. He then found a good place to position his legs and hoped for the best. Grabbing the rein, he was READY TO GO!

COME ON, SLYTHERIN LADY, DON'T DILLY-DALLY!!

Genny was bought with those two thumps up, so she grinned even wider as the horse slowed down with the fidgeting by eating a carrot from Paige's pocket. Food calmed all creatures it seemed, heh heh. "Thanks! You should've seen me ride that sheep in the common room." That was challenging, especially with Ace and Terry riling it up more. "Hi Hattie, see it isn't that ba-AAAAD" The horse neighed and shook his pretty hair violently taking Genny by surprise...

... which led her to do the first instinctive thing. She tightened her legs around its torse and hung onto his neck just as he started to outstretch his wings (probably knocking the two bystanders to the ground), "Whoaaa!!" There was a momentarily look of terror on Genny as the Aethonan quickly shifted from eating peacefully to excessively flapping his wings and starting to charge forward-- her wide eyes quickly went back to normal and she continued to grin foolishly as the horse ascended from the ground into the sky. Needless to say, her posture was all wrong because she was practically lying on the horse's back.

He may not have the same taste as Hady, but if he understood why it is beautiful to her, then he can go as far as appreciating it too. “Mm, it is. Although...I don’t think I am ready to see one...” Of course he knew the requirement to see one. And since Hady CAN see with her own eyes, Jace became more curious but not enough to ask her as to whose death she had witnessed. That’s just...rude, yeah? “Aren’t you...comforted though? That you can see one?” he asked softly, obviously testing the waters with the Head Girl. “It’s curious how such event can alter your magic to be able to see one...” Jace wanted answers but he had to stop himself already because...really, you don’t talk about death in such setting.

The Ravenclaw bounced on his feet a little as he kept on patting the Abraxan. He can sense Hady’s interest in the language! “Oh, the phrase means ‘thank you’ as well, but it’s in the formal form.” There is another form to say thanks, but Jace would keep that information for now since they are not yet over with the activity.

Sometime during the weekend? “I’m up for it! I can accompany you after my morning exercise.” he said raising his hand all excited. He’s usually up at half past four in the morning so no need to cut his kata practise short. “Just let me know when exactly...” he said beaming at the Head Girl and then went on to appreciate the Abraxan even more as Hady settled in nicely.

Merlin, this creature can at least sit three more students!

Jace stood on top of the block, and took Hady’s hand as he got on the winged horse. “Whoa...” they were really up high from the ground...and they haven’t even took off yet! The Ravenclaw adjusted himself in the saddle, making sure that his legs were at right angles and his feet securely in the stirrups. “Right...uhm... this is my first time riding a horse. Would you like to take the reins?” he asked offering the leather to Hady who sat behind him. He felt like he should at least guide the winged horse but...he’d rather pass the responsibility to someone who is older and more experienced.

1. Petting/Stroking
2. Mounting
3. Finding balance and positioning your legs
4. Holding the bridle/rein
5. Signaling them to take off by squeezing them with your legs
6. Pulling of the bridle/rein gently to land
7. Dismounting.

Oh, the boy made sense alright. Hadleigh gave him a warm smile. "That's a very mature way of thinking about it. I would have to agree with you as well." Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Twenty people could look at a Thestral and those same twenty people could feel completely different about it. Listening to Jace and taking in all that he had to say made complete sense. It took her a few moments before she could even reply. "I honestly don't think anyone is ever ready to see one, mainly due to the circumstances that allow it. I'll agree with you as far as saying that it's incredible magic for sure." Her eyes shifted from Jace onto Sinatra as she spoke. "I wouldn't change being able to see him but if I could I'd change the way that made it so." Did that make sense?

The way he was bouncing about reminded her of herself. So had always been excitable, grabbing Zeke's hand when they had been first and seconds years rushing about to experience it all with her best friend. Seeing the excitement in the younger boys face was the best and over something so simple as her interest in his language. "Is that so? Maybe you can teach me a few words every now and then, hmm?"

"Morning exercise? What is it that you do, if you don't mind my asking?" Was he a running/jogging like herself cause if so he was welcome to join her. Hady smiled brightly finding his interest in the creatures heartwarming. "What time do you normally finish your morning things? We can go after if you like." Early in the morning on a weekend she was typically free to do as she pleased.

Closing her hand around his she helped him up onto the horse. She waited patiently for him to get himself settled in and comfortable watching as he picked up the reins. A small smirk played across her lips and she shook her hair, loose strands falling into her face. "Not today. You're going to guide him through the takeoff, flight and landing." The best way to learn was by doing it. It's how she learned and how she picked up on things fastest. Hands on. "I'll be right here behind you. If you like we can do this together until you think you can do it on you own." She moved her arms around his waist so that she could grip the reins as well, her hands just below each of his. When he was sure he could take over without her assistance then she would let go of the reins.

"Ready."

Cornelius turned his head to see the expression on the other boy's face. Noting the pink, he chuckled under his breath. "Too bad." He was SOOO funny.

He waited for Lancelot to make his move, heals tempted to just kick and lift off. But he wasn't that evil. After a moment, there were hands on his shoulders. GOOD. They could get flyiiiing and soariiing now.

"If you haf' to, don't be shy to grab on to my waist. Just to don't do it too hard 'cause I'm ticklish." FYI. No need to be scared. Cornelius had stopped believing in cooties since last term.

"1...2...3...!!!" AND THEY WERE OFF!!!!

"Wooooohooooooooooo!"

As a matter of fact, no, he hadn't been ready on account of the fact Blaise was still finding somewhere to tuck his own legs that wouldn't inconvenience the horse but that hadn't stopped Bentley. Quick as he could, the boy wrapped his arm around his cousin's middle and braced for lift off.

There was a funny sort of feeling in his stomach as the horse took to the sky but it was the good kind of funny that also had him yelling his approval.

Despite the lack of the saddle and the unstable way he was perched on this thing--or rather, inspire of it Blaise found this whole thing thrilling.

"Head that way. If this thing clears the lake we'll hit Hogsmeade." The Professor didn't say how far they were allowed to fly and right now he didn't see why not.

Post 2: You can fly, you can fly, YOU CAN FLY!

Thankfully her older partner had paid attention to this list? of steps they were meant to be following, because Olivia was just single-mindedly in the zone to FLY THIS HORSE. YEAH! Total HERCULES MOMENT. She was like Megara, only more blonde and less cynical!

Curses, Rooney. THIS WAS A DISNEY OP!

Aaaaaanyway, making sure her grip on the leather reins was firm, she waited for the partner person to mount their horse, as well; seeing as she couldn't go this alone. And to be honest, she was grateful for that. Flying on brooms: ANY DAY OF THE WEEK. First time flying a magical horse: assistance wasn't a terrible thing, okay? Besides, it wasn't like she was a total newb. Liv understood how to sit on horses, as that couldn't have been that different across species. She also knew where to place her feet, how to hold the reins... So, really, there was no shame to speak of here.

Once they were all set to go, the Gryffindor fought the urge to fling her arms around the large creature's neck, by means of not falling off, and waited for takeoff! GOSH, it was exciting, terrifying, and klajdlkfjsk all at once. The anticipation! She was all antsy pantsy and EAGER!

...AND JUST LIKE THAT, the horse was charging forward, its massive, powerful wings whipping and churning the air around them. With a slight jump, they were AIRBORNE, and she was positive she wanted to continue doing this for the rest of the day. THIS RIGHT HERE. The flying bit. Not the... class part. No offense, Professor.

"Must you hold on so tightly?!" Bentley asked against the wind, when he felt Blaise's hands around his middle. Jeeez. He wanted to be able to breathe just right thanks.

This was one of the most thrilling feeling that Bentley had ever experienced in his entire life. They lived so close to the muggles that he was hardly ever able to fly a broom.

His grandmother's home was always a place he was able to be completely ingrained in magic though so he didn't feel a bit nervous about being up this high.

Bentley closed his eyes when their horse skimmed the lake but thankfully the animal cleared it just fine. "To Hogsmeade then," he responded as he tugged the reins in the direction that his cousin had suggested.

Hattie was still super bummed that she couldn't fly. It looked really cool, and she was feeling jealous. But the winged horse was really cool. She was just glad to be up close, and able to stroke and pet. It was pretty, and she wanted one. She didn't quite think that her mother would allow her to have one. Surely if she wasn't allowed a Kneazle, she really wouldn't be allowed a winged horse.

"You look really good up there!" She murmured as she looked up at Genny. She kind of wanted to sit on the horse too, but she was worried that if it might go flying. And she didn't want that to happen. So she was going to stay night and on the floor now. It was a lot safer here.

She blinked though, finding herself on the floor suddenly. "What in merlins...." She mumbled, pushing her way up into a seated position. She blinked as she watched Genny go off into the sky. Well. That was that. "Guess you're not gonna fly Paige..." Since they were both still here. "And.... she doesn't seem to have a very good posture. I hope she doesn't fall off"

Post 3: *just hanging out in the air, nbd*

Okay, so... Olivia never thought anything could touch the GLORY that was riding a broom, especially the brilliant brand new one her da had bought her for her birthday, but this?! This was INSANE, and they were flying so much higher than she'd seen even brooms go.

;___; Not gonna lie, emotions were threatening her. It was just so wonderful, and nothing hurt and everything was perfect and carefree. THE WIND WAS IN HER HAIR and she felt like she could ride this horse INTO BATTLE, like a proper WARRIOR QUEEN! Not that she approved of real fighting and battles, but she simply felt like an total badbutt chick right now! HEY, even Disney movies had their warrior queens. It was acceptable in the moment.

Hearing the partner person talking in her ear, Liv made a total face. NU. She wasn't ready to return just yet. The professor hadn't called for the end of class. THEY STILL HAD TIME, even if only but a few more minutes. She wanted to stay up here for however long she could.

GOSH, DON'T RUIN THIS FOR HER. :whaa:

Knocking...flinging...it was really all one and the same, right? Just a matter of perspective really.

Paige, thankfully, missed the look of terror on the Gryffindor's face...but most certainly wore one of her own when she had a split second to register that there was a massive chestnut wing being flung at her. And then there was a flying Hufflepuff...sort of..her feet DID leave the ground for a second until her rear collided with the ground. "...owie...." she muttered, rubbing her tail bone and fidgeting with her skirt that had become a bit of a disarray from the spill.

Oh...hey look! A feather had come off the creature's wing during take off. Could she keep it? She had already picked it up...

Wait.......the winged horse was gone.........wait.....

Uh....oh.

Blue eyes darting around, Paige caught sight of Genny and GASPED. "G-Genny! Pull on the reigns to land!" Please.

Oh Merlin.

And her bum was still throbbing. Owie.

And really...Hattie...she was perfectly okay with having missed the opportunity to fly. As long as Genny got safely BACK to the ground in one piece that is.
