It was only 8:40 when he arrived at the barn near the Care of Magical Creatures classroom and Mason wondered how he had gotten there so early because he usually arrived just in time.

Perhaps it was because of the fact that he started to understand the layout of Hogwarts castle and had even found a few secret short cuts he could use when traveling from class to class.

"Good morning, Professor" he greeted the moment he spotted him standing next to the blackboard. Next thing, Mason went to find a seat on one of the beanbags and opened his book. Which was not the CoMC textbook by the way but the 'Counter curses' book he had lend from the library yesterday.

Care of Magical Creatures! Carl liked this class, that was a fact. As a lover of animals, he enjoyed chances to interact with them. As usual, he was looking forward to this class.

He entered the backyard at the grounds and immediately saw Professor Hernandez. "Hello, Professor!" The Badger smiled. He was glad he was early, because then he could choose a good seat. A good beanbag seat. His favorite type!

Picking a beanbag chair at the side, he took a seat and waited for the lesson to begin.

It might be pretty early in the morning, but Henry had been up for a while. He went on a morning run nearly every day before breakfast and class, and today had been no exception. Care of Magical Creatures was one of his favorite class and he was in his usual good mood when he headed down towards the barn.

"Morning, professor!" he greeted the man cheerfully as he arrived in the yard behind the barn. Turning to find a seat, he gave a friendly smile to the Ravenclaw already present and a wave to Carl before flopping down in one of the beanbag chairs. Seat right up at the front, of course. He was eager to find out what sort of creature they'd be studying - or better yet, handling - today!

Normally up and ready for a lesson such as care of magical creatures, Lance just couldn't find the energy this morning. Tiredness seeped into his bones. Or it just could've been from the many attempts to try and smooth down his bed head as much as possible... and failing miserably. Though a sense of relief washed over him after seeing the beanbag chairs.

"Morning, professor," he greeted, plopping down in the nearest beanbag towards the front.

Kimi made his way into where the class was being held and said "Morning Professor" Kimi didn't mind being up this early for a class

Care of Magical Creatures. This was one of Harriet's favorite lessons and she was really excited to begin a new years worth of lessons. She was fascinated about magical creatures and couldn't wait to learn more about them! She hoped that they would learn about a great creature today. She smiled as she headed down to the barn area. She loved these lessons. Sitting in a classroom was great, but there was just something great about learning outdoors.

"Hi Professor" The hufflepuff smiled as she greeted her professor. "I hope you are okay today" She was feeling better now, so everything was really good actually. Smiling, she then sat herself down on a bean bag.

Okay, so .... Look, Liv really wasn't a morning person. NOPE, and it also could never be said about smol blonde that she was anything other than a grump in the early mornings. Because, trust us, she DEFINITELY was a grump. The GRUMPIEST of the GRUMPS, to be perfectly clear.

This was only proven further in how she was trudging across the grounds, placated slightly by the early morning air, but still mean mugging her surroundings as she walked; head bent down. Not only was this all happening due to the early hour, but she'd also had a nightmare the night before. Olivia had never had a nightmare.

It had her all out of sorts.

So, plopping down into a beanbag, the first available one, Liv curled up and prepared to sleep until the lesson actually started. "Hello, Professor." It was mumbled.

Sean enjoys Care of Magical Creatures only because they can sometimes go out during class hours and meet some creatures. Now that is cool. Not that he was late in getting up but it was a rather slow day for him. It took him time to just get ready and upon realizing the time he immediately made his way towards the classroom. Casually entering so he wouldn't look like he sort of ran. He entered the classroom and his eyes widened from the bean bag chairs.

He greeted the professor of course "Hello Proessor Hernandez. Hope you are enjoying your day" he smiled as he took a seat in one of the soft balls of chairs. Flopping a bit when he sat down but managed in the end.

This was a lesson she liked, Leesha loved animals so this class wasn’t a problem for her at all! Although she hadn’t had that much experience with magical creatures, her basic knowledge about animals were muggle animals but… They were all animals the same! Smiling she entered the classroom, she was in a good mood today and she even hummed softly to herself. In her pocket she carried like usual her rat Flam with her and she was sure that that wasn’t going to be a problem, this was a lesson about animals after all!

“Good morning Professor” spoke Leesha while looking at the teacher. During her Muggle school time she didn’t had paid her teachers much respect but those teachers weren’t having a wand in their possession so here at Hogwarts she decided to show some more manners and to prove to her parents that it was possible for her to behave!

Taking a random seat she looked around her, relieved that the place wasn’t smelling bad, especially not for a place like this!

Paige was not fond of coffee and preferred tea 99 times out of 100, but if classes were going to continue to be this early she was going to need to reevaluate her hot beverage preferences. Or remind herself that she could afford to go to bed at a reasonable hour every now and then.

Rubbing her eyes as she approached, her short mousy hair still showing some remnants of of sleep clinging to it in all the unfortunate ways, Paige managed a small smile to the professor before heading towards the nearest beanbag chair. "Good morning, Professor Hernandez," she greeted with a subtle yawn, setting her owl shaped backpack down beside her beanbag of choice (next to Lancelot) before sliding into it herself.

Not...helping with the sleepiness either...since these cushions were meant to mold against and around you for optimum comfort.

Well it was getting close to time for the first lesson of the day. Though he already had several days of magical learning under his belt, Finnlay still had left the Great Hall a good half an hour earlier than the lesson's start time. After all, the castle was large and the grounds were even larger. It wouldn't do to get lost and end up being late.

So it was that the first year arrived fifteen minutes early for Care of Magical Creatures. He still wasn't sure what to make of his professors yet. As he arrived, he located Hernandez and gave him a polite smile. "Good morning, sir," the youngster said. Then he located a seat near the only person he at least recognized (Mason), a fellow Ravenclaw he'd seen in the common room.

Azura wasn't bothered by the early morning.. She had been up for hours already practicing the piano for her auditions.. She was just sad really that she had to leave her piano, she had been in such a good groove too.

She walked down to the barn and felt a small twinge of pain when she remembered she wouldn't be seeing Professor Drapers grumpy face, instead it would be someone new.. And although this wasn't their first lesson together.. The pain was still there.

She did smile though and wave at the Professor. "Hello Professor. " She said as she settled down in a bean bag chair and made sure all of her supplies were in order.

Fed and watered for the morning period, a wide-awake thirteen year old entered the CoMC classroom with a small grin on his face. Jace is one of the students, probably the only student, who loves taking early morning walks on the grounds to help him jump start his day. The walk did wonderful things to his brain and he was more than ready to tackle today’s lesson.

Upon entering, Jace scanned the area, and was a bit disappointed with the choice of seats. Beanbags are way too comfortable for a morning lesson, plus it made his back hurt. The disappointment cannot be seen on his face though because he ought to respect the professor’s preferences. Moving further into the room, Jace inclined his head towards the man in front and gave him his greetings. “Good morning, Professor.” he said in a calm manner, not wanting to disturb a very sleepy lion (Liv) closest to him. As soon as he took a seat, he gave her a shy smile and immediately looked for another familiar face in the room. Brown eyes landed on Azura, and she got a wave from him too.

Barn classes awwyea! Reminds him a lot of creature care hour with mom.

New Creatures Instuctor, still trying to figure him out. Tenacius gives, as he always does, his cheerful greeting to the man this early morn "Top o' the mornin to ya Prof!" he zoomed past the man in a spate extra velocity on his cruiser. Gotta double back because the bean bags were thataway.

Waking up early in the morning did not bother Kitty anymore - it used to, but that was before she got used to prefect patrols. Now she was usually the first one awake in her dormitory. This left her enough time to apply eyeliner and comb her hair. Then she left the Ravenclaw Common Room and headed down towards the Care of Magical Creatures lesson outside the barn.

She pulled her school robes tightly around her as the morning air was a little colder than usual. After a few minutes she had arrived. "Good morning Professor Hernandez. How are you?" Kitty asked politely before going to sit next to Azura.

Really.. this was strange, in a classroom. Echo wondered what they were going to be learning today. "Hello Professor " she said while entering and finding an open seat.

This wasn't the first lesson with Professor Hernandez, sure, but Hadley still hadn't gotten used to CoMC classes without Drapes. How strange it was not to have her nemesis there anymore. In a weird way she actually sort of missed him. And then there was Professor Hernandez, whom Hads still wasn't sure what to make of.

She made her way calmly to the back of the barn where the class was being held and nodded as she passed the professor. "Hey, Professor Hernandez. How are you today?" She was being a bit overly polite as she sometimes had to remind herself that Hernandez wasn't Drapes, and therefore there was no reason to be on guard and short with him. In a way she was over compensating just a bit.

One of Cassie’s fav things about COMC was that it was nearly always outdoors. That allowed one to not have to miss out in enjoying a nice day because you had to be in a lesson. It could only get a bit tricky when within deep winter. Today was no different than other good days however as she made her way down across the grounds to the usual spot by the barn where they were to be gathered for class. The Ravenclaw curious as to what they would be talking on and possibly working with this time around.

“Good morning, Professor,” she greeted the man as she came up to the group. She then looked around for an open beanbag to claim, grateful that comfortable clothes allowed for easier seating than skirts as she sat down.

Turning the page of his book, Mason spotted a pair of shoes walk in front of him and his eyes followed them as they sat down on the bean bag near him. Looking up , the Ravenclaw learned that the owner of those shoes was Finn whom he knew was one of the first years in his House.

Giving the boy a smile and a nod, Mason then went back to his book and continued to read until the Professor announced the start of the lesson.

Miranda dragged herself to the earliest ever class she'd been in attendence to... Like ever... Her hair wasn't even completely fixed when she entered the barn... She totally yawned as she walked past the teacher... Taking a nice deep wiff of the coffee aroma wafting up from his mug...
" Morning, Professor Hernandez... Idn't it a bit early for all this yet?..." she said with a small smile... " Was just joking by the way, Sir... all in good fun yeah? "

Okay so obviously something had changed Randi quite a bit in recent weeks... She was definitely more happy... she plopped into a beanbag and pondered the reason until class began...

Now this was a class Natalia could handle and get excited about, even with a new professor. She knew creatures, she loved creatures. Maybe they'd even be learning about horses in class today. Though Nat felt she knew tons about them already. Moving down towards the barn she had brought a hot chocolate with her. The colder temps were starting to come and Nat was already freezing in the mornings. She had been here since she was fourteen why was she not use to this yet?

Getting down to the class she looked around. "Morning Professor" still not making eye contact. She had met him at the barn one morning, but she still didn't know much about him yet. Taking a deep breath she moved to find a seat. Seeing a few people she gave waves.

"Guess you won the golden ticket to get me to sit next to you." Giving Henry a smile before she sat down next to him. "Hope we learn something cool today."

Merlin it was too early for this. Blaise didn't mind Care of Magical Creatures but he'd only woken not too long ago and still had breakfast making his stomach full and his steps slow. Who's bright idea was it to make the first class of the day one that was all the way across the grounds? Why not something on the First Floor? Like History of Magic or Defense Against the Dark Arts? One flight of stairs wouldn't have been so terrible--actually, Potions would have been best because then he could just roll himself down the stairs and call it a day.

This....not so much.

Trudging in behind his classmates, Blaise made his way to the classroom possibly a good 15 minutes early for the lesson and plopped himself into the bean bag chair next to Livvy's. Was she sleeping?

The boy nudged her with his foot just a little before turning his attention to the Professor. "Morning Professor. Awfully early, isn't it?"

Liv had fallen back into an uneasy sleep quickly enough; pretty much as soon as she'd closed her eyes ... but then something was rousing her from her fashionable dreamland. Sadly. They'd been fussing over the color or this year's winter coats ...

"VERMILLION!" It was shouted as she awoke with a start, jolted into an upright sitting position atop her beanbag.

Blink.

Whut?

It should be illegal to start classes this early in the morning especially since she and her BFF spent most nights gossiping, usually past midnight, it definitely made it hard to get up in the morning.

Trixie stifled her yawn as she entered the room, right behind Blaise and she managed to throw a sleepy smile in the direction of the Professor. "Morning Professor."

Oh look! Beanbags! She waved at her best friend Olivia, who appeared to be asleep and then waved to people she knew and didn't know before flopping down beside (Ace). "I always enjoy this class. Don't you?" She asked the curly haired boy.
