Once Noelle had signed in, she'd adjusted her broom under her uninjured arm and went to sit in the waiting room. She hoped this went by quickly. She hated healers. If she could, she'd do it herself. If it was a break, she'd try episkey on herself.... But she'd never used that spell on an actual person before. Let alone herself. She figured she'd do more harm than good. So now she was here. She sat down in an empty chair and put her broom next to her. Her arm stung worse after grabbing the railing from the moving staircase. She breathed out and bowed her head, waiting to be called. Had she mentioned she hated coming to the healer?? But she was obliging by the rules. |

MUST. FIND. THORNS! Kitty lumbered into the Hospital Wing. Her shoulder was injured (causing her to hunch over) and her knee was cut, but that was not why she was here. Thorns was why she was here. Kitty slammed herself into the healers door, and shouted. "Kitty needs thorns!" |

Fiyero finally managed to drag Kitty into the hospital wing. It wasn't easy, as she was older and bigger than him, but at least she didn't put up much resistance. He had no idea how to go about signing in in this case. Kitty was clearly in no shape to do it herself, but he wasn't sure if he was allowed to check in for her. He hoped Healer Murdoch would understand and not be too angry about it... this was an emergency! "Okay, Kitty. Just sit here and-" What, what was he doing?! He kept forgetting that she didn't understand him when he talked normal. He sighed, trying again. "Kitty sit here," he said, gesturing toward the nearest seat. "Fiyero give Kitty thorns soon." He really hoped Healer Murdoch wouldn't hear him talking like that and assume he was the patient! He had no idea how he was going to explain this. He wasn't sure exactly what was wrong with Kitty or how she got that way. He was just escorting her here like Professor Myers asked. Please dont think its a joke, he thought silently. That would be ironic if he were to lose house points for doing exactly what a teacher asked. His eyes darted around the room. Where was Professor Myers?! He hoped the Herbology teacher would join them soon like he promised. He could probably give the healer much more information about what had happened... |
Art was just arriving to the Hospital Wing, his wand still raised in his hand, but pointing behind him. The students he was levitating were starting to get into his field of vision, so he had directed the aim of his wand behind him. So there they were. Levitating behind him. He carefully lowered his wand, and thus the students, not even looking to see who he had actually levitated. And in the waiting room were some other people. "What's going on, Julien?" Art asked, deep lines of concern etched into his forehead. What was he going to do? Had these students eaten something they shouldn't have? Did they have encephalitis? Low blood sugar? Were they dehydrated? Sleep deprived? Narcolepsy? WERE THEY SLEEP WALKING? He shook his head. Not ALL of them could have these things, that was too much to believe. Certainly too much. He didn't know what to do... Where was Cece? Perhaps she was busy with other students. Well, Art put on his healer cap, thinking back to his training and the work he did at St Olaf's hospital. Right. First things first, he needed to get a sugary drink, then an electrolyte balancing potion. They would take care of the low blood sugar and the dehydration. Then he would give them all a hit of strong caffeine, in case they were sleep deprived. He went to the hospital wing and went through the cupboards, taking care not to disturb Cece's organisation. He found what he was looking for, and took them all back to the waiting room. He divided out a few goblets mixed with all of these things, topped up with some sweet apple juice, and handed it out to the students. |

He looked around and wondered if Cece was around or is another student had done something that she had to go to them. Either way it didn't matter much he was fixed and could head out. Art listened to Julien explain what had happened. "Oh I ho-I hope it wasn't too deep," he said with concern. He was relieved to hear that it had been fixed, but was curious as to what happened in the first place. And then Kitty kept going on about thorns. A fad, hey? "Hmm," Art mumbled. "N-not a fad I-I would hope sticks," he said half jokingly. "Okay, Mi-Miss Valentine, okay, h-have a sip of this now, come on, i-it's apple juice! Mmm," he pressed the goblet into her hands, with the hope that the sugar, electrolytes and caffeine would have some positive effect on her. "Wh-what have you eaten lately?" he asked her. Had some of the students had food poisoning? Art hoped to Einstein that it was NOT one of his potions that had poisoned them. |

"I don't know exactly what caused Mr. Yenorin acted liked this, but I'm afraid it's imperius curse." Which is slightly impossible since 1) It's unforgivable and 2) Just a very powerful wizard could master it... wasn't it? Maybe healer Murdoch could tell them what caused this boys acted like this. Walking to the waiting room, Sora saw Professor Newton and Professor Primeaux. There were some students who were acted strangely like Mr. Yenorin. So he wasn't the only victim? For the love of Cassandra Trelawney, what the heck happened? "Professor Newton, Professor Primeaux." She greeted her fellow staffs. "Looks like we have another victim." |
Text Cut: Kitty Leave?! Kitty was going to leave once she had the thorns? Fiyero was glad he hadn't given her his thorns as soon as they arrived; this was exactly what he was afraid might happen! He felt guilty for breaking his promise to her, but he couldn't have her wandering off. Professor Myers had specifically told him to bring her to the hospital wing! Fiyero sighed exasperatedly, holding his rosebush farther out of Kitty's reach. Now what was he going to do with her? He got an idea! He broke off a stem from his rose and handed it to Kitty. "Fiyero give Kitty some thorns now," he said. Some being the key word in that sentence. "Kitty sit still and Fiyero give Kitty more thorns. Kitty understand?" He hoped this would be enough to keep her satisfied until someone came to take care of her. Fiyero's eyes darted around the room, desperately searching for anyone who could help Kitty. Where was Healer Murdoch? Where was Professor Myers? Where was anybody?! Text Cut: Professor Newton Fiyero had been so preoccupied with keeping Kitty from running off that he hadn't noticed Professor Newton in the room. "Hello, Professor," he said, shooting the Potions master a grateful look as he handed Kitty a goblet. Maybe he'd be able to help her! He suddenly noticed the students that Professor Newton had brought in and wondered if they had whatever was wrong with Kitty. "I have no idea what's wrong with her. She was in Professor Myers's office babbling about wanting thorns, and he told me to bring her here. He said he'd be along soon..." He glanced toward the door, hoping Professor Myers would come in at any moment. He turned to Kitty. "Kitty listen to Professor. Professor help Kitty," he said, breaking another stem off his rosebush. "Kitty drink and Fiyero give Kitty more thorns." Fiyero looked back at Professor Newton with a sheepish expression. He hoped he wouldn't think there was something wrong with him too after hearing him talk like that. "Talking like that is the only way I could get her to understand me," he explained. |
Hadleigh had lead the younger boy towards the Healer along with Professor Yoon. The entire time she had held onto Torie's sleeve in order to get him to keep following, not that she really needed to seeing as he wanted 'gold'. You're welcome Professor." It wasn't a problem. If there was something indeed wrong with a group of students it was only right to help out when she could. "Imperius Curse...who would do such a thing?" That was an unforgivable. Therefore not aloud. It couldn't be that. Could? Hadleigh frowned looking at the others in the room now. "Hello Professors." |

"Kitty want all thorns now! Kitty go with Fiyero! Fiyero trick Kitty!" A look of frustration appeared in her zombielike face. But she was temporarily placated when he offered her some thorns. She took the thorns he gave her and held on to them as if her life depended on it. Professor asking her questions. She stared blankly at him. "Kitty not understand. Kitty want Moonstone. Kitty want rose thorns." At first she refused to take the goblet. But then Fiyero promised to give her more thorns. Still with the thorns safely in her hand, Kitty drank the professor's goblet. Its taste was lost on Kitty. She only wanted thorns and Moonstone. Immediately she turned and reached for the rose thorns. "Fiyero give Kitty all rose thorns now. Fiyero promise!" |
Fiyero was becoming more panicked my the minute, though he did his best not to let on. That wouldn't be the Gryffindor thing to do! He was starting to get overwhelmed! It was getting a lot harder not to give in to Kitty's demands for thorns. He really didn't want to lie to her, but he couldn't let her leave. She was sick and needed care! He sighed; he wasn't sure how to handle her! Maybe denying her the thorns he promised wasn't the best idea. If he kept it up much longer, she might resort to more drastic measures... like attacking him. "Fine. Fiyero give Kitty all thorns now." He handed her what was left of his rosebush, shooting a pleading look at Professor Newton. Please help... What were the consequences of what he'd just done? Without the thorns to use as leverage, he'd have to think of another way to keep Kitty from leaving. He positioned himself bewteen Kitty and the door, one hand on his wand just in case he needed it in a hurry. He hoped he wouldn't have to hex Kitty right in front of Professor Newton! Please, Kitty, stay put... Don't make me hex you... Fiyero's blond head jerked up at the sound of another voice to see Professor Yoon with an older Slytherin girl and a boy who was babbling about gold and acting a lot like Kitty. Imperius Curse?! He blinked at the sound of those words. So he wasn't the only one who thought this could be dark magic... As soon as he got Kitty taken care of, he was going straight to Professor Hirsch! |

Hadleigh's eyes may have drifted once or twice around the waiting room but they returned right back onto the boy. "Yeah, yeah I know you want your gold." This was getting so out of hand it wasn't even funny anymore. If these kids could just get checked out already then they'd all know what was going on. It couldn't be something as bad as a curse. Or at least the sixth year hoped now. Her eyes moved back onto Torie and she let out a breath letting her hand drop from the sleeve of his robe. Just so he didn't run off or try to get her necklace again it should be okay to just let him stand there on his own. |
We came in with Professor Newton! Yup Azura was sitting quietly.. since the eggs were in her pocket she was just anxious to be let go.. so she could get back to the Forest and give Melody what she asked for! "Good Azura.. Got Eggs.. Melody happy.." Her voice was soft and singsongish.. She tilted her head and giggled.. Azura good finder! Azura good girl! Make Melody happy.. happy.. She stiffly patted her pocket.. "Azura leave? Azura go? Azura see Forest?" Her dull purple eyes looked out.. not really focused on anyone... |
Torie's back! Torie was reaching for the necklace and then suddenly he shook his head as if trying to clear his head and blinked looking at his hand reaching for....an older girl? What on earth was he trying to do?! Wait...where was he?!?! He blinked again and stared around him, on in merlin's name had he gotten here?!!?!?!? He blinked at the girl apologetically but also wide eyed. "Why....am I in the hospital wing?" he asked hoping she could answer that for him at least? And was he holding the professor's hand? He looked around wide-eyed "Err....what's going on?" he asked confused as ever! Had he been sleep walking? He didn't think so! |
Art gave a VERY appreciative smile to Mr Jones for his help in trying to treat Kitty. He nodded back to Miss Valentine. "Y-yess.. A-Art give Kitty thorns if Kitty drink liquid," he said, joining in. He was glad she drank it, but it didn't seem to have any affect on her. At all. Art saw her reaching for the thorns. "Is that enough thorns for Kitty?" he asked, just humouring her. Art handed Miss Kennedy the same drink in the goblet, of caffeine, sugar and electrolytes. If nothing else, it would help perk them up. "Azura drink this," Art said in the same tone Miss Kennedy had taken to, holding the goblet out for her. Art turned and saw Professor Yoon approaching with Miss Lynch and... another student... the same thing. "Hmm w-well nothing seems to be helping... I think it might be a case of... food poisoning or something." He'd seen cases like this, the infection made people confused. "I suggest we t-take the students back to their dormitories and... and tuck them in to sleep it off." It was all he could think of. "We can reassess t-tomorrow, look over them all, mak-make sure they're okay." Although it appeared that Mr Yenorin just wanted gold. So, these students all felt they needed something. Gold, thorns, moonstone... He was getting to the point where he just wanted to hand them the things they wanted to see if they snapped out of it. Maybe they were all playing a trick? Maybe someone had put them all up to a dare? And then Miss Denaker appeared, wanting a book. Art shrugged. He couldn't very well do anything about that, could he? They were Leo's books. "Haddie look for book in hospital wing? Hospital wing has books too," he said, copying her tone. They were only book about different potions, poisons, elixirs, but... maybe there was something there she might be happy with. What else could he do? He'd wait for Miss Denaker to sleep off... whatever this was, and then ask her to return the book. If there was a book here she wanted. Was there? And all of a sudden, there was Mr Yenorin, appearing as if things were back to normal... "Y-you were a little confused about something, Mr Yenorin, that's all. I suggest y-you go back to your dormitory and h-have a rest." He offered the young Hufflepuff a little smile, trying to give the illusion that things were fine. Nobody was worried at all... nobody was worried that the students had just turned into confused things... not at all. Not. At. ALL. Art stood up and said to everyone "I think e-everyone should just go-go back to their dormitories and sleep things off. Mr Jones, c-could you try to escort Miss Kennedy, Miss Valentine and Miss Denaker towards the Ravenclaw tower an-and... Miss Lynch p-perhaps you could take Mr Yenorin towards the Hufflepuff entrance..." He was going to write some notes for Cece, so that she had all of the details of what happened, just in case they re-presented. And then he was going to go and ask the House Elves if something had gone wrong with any of the food... |
Hadleigh was quietly standing back watching everything take place around her. Whatever Professor Newton was giving them wasn't working but somehow Torie seemed to be coming back to normal. Or something anyhow. At least he was talking in real sentences and not trying to reach for her necklace anymore. When asked to take the boy back to his common room she nodded her head. "Yes, Professor." Turning towards Torie she gave him a gentle smile. "Come with me back towards your common room and I'll do my best to explain what I know, okay?" It was simple enough really. Maybe together they could piece things together and figure out what had happened. Either way talking to the younger boy wouldn't hurt anything. With that she turned to walk towards the Hufflepuff common room figuring the boy would soon follow. |
Kitty eagerly took all of the rose thorns. "Kitty has enough thorns," she declared happily as Fiyero gave her all his thorns. She moved to leave but Fiyero was blocking her. "Kitty go now." She blinked and waited for Fiyero to move. Must return to forest. Blink. Blink. |
"Book?" She moaned. Book was here? The teen zombie struggled more and more in vain against the spell that was immobilizing her. She needed to get moving again, needed to find the book. Hadley find book. Hadley bring book... The light around her blared blindingly and she closed her eyes tight against it. What the...? How on earth did she get here, where ever here was. Floating on her back a few feet above the ground all she could see was the ceiling. And that just told her she was somewhere in the castle. Worse of all, she couldn't move. Completely immobilized from some spell or something. And on top of that, she was tied up. A little bit of overkill, don'tcha think? "Whoever you are!" Hadley tried to roar. She was praying the culprit was still there, and didn't leave her alone is some unused corner of the castle. "You better make me mobile again. And untie me. And put me down or I'll...I'll..." What could she do? "Just undo it so I can leave okay?" After a moment's thought, she added, "where am I?" |
