Oh good! He was facing off with Justin again! Paul smiled as he saw the younger fellow and quickly bowed his head. "Are you ready, then, m'boy?' he asked as he cleaned the end of his wand with the sleeve of his robe.

"I think I'll start with a..." hmmm. "Also, should we place another bet, then?" he asked, eyebrows raised. He hadn't done it with either Sora or Kaysha...but it was sort of his and Justin's thing! "Drinks again?" Make things more interesting, Justin, eh?

"ORBIS!" he cried suddenly, shooting the spell his way.

What a delightful change. Given his recent illness, it would appear another absence would result from Mr. McLeod. Not today though as Justin waved over at Paul before the bow. "More than you, my good man." Another bet? Of course. "Let's raise the stakes to say.. 10 galleons with that?" Enough to get their sweeties a gift. Much more interesting.

When it was time for the duel to start Justin shouted, "Protego!", strong enough to reflect that back before following with a nice "Flipendo!" Good start, yeah?

Ten galleons. Paul could do that. He smirked and nodded. "Sounds fair to me!" Fair and fun. Honestly, Justin was just the coolest friend Paul had. Like, cool cool. And attractive, but that was another matter entirely.

He was quick enough to sidestep that spell reflected back at him, but he was NOT quick enough to dodge or protego that knock-back jinx. So, Paul fell backwards, right on his bum, and he howled with laughter over at Justin. "VERY FUNNY, JUSTIN."

He sent a quick nonverbal mimblewimble Justin's way.

Oh, there were stakes to play for? That certainly made the duel even more interesting, didn't it?

It wasn't even a long duel: in fact, as far as duels go, this one was incredibly short but the effort in place made it better. There was no doubt that the two duellers were putting in their best effort, all the while keeping the duel as friendly as possible. It was just a pity it couldn't last longer. It felt, to Hirsch, that the non-verbal spell had just been the tip of the iceberg.

When the time was up, he struck up that familiar shield again before moving forwards towards the pair. "Well done, guys, well done. That was certainly an interesting duel." Stakes and all. "But, I'm afraid, you're going to have to buy the round of drinks today, Paul. Congratulations, Justin."
