The second duel was here and she had been paired with Paul. Kay was unsure of what to expect from the always jolly man. Perhaps she would have done better if she had turned up to watch Sora's and Paul's duel but she hadn't. It was too late to think of that now so she simply squared her shoulders and tossed her dark hair which she had worn in a plait from her shoulder to behind her.
"Hello, Paul! I look forward to a great duel.'' Kay smiled jovially at her colleague then went to stand at one end of the arena. She bowed and wasted no time in casting her first spells. "Langlock! Levicorpus!'' Back to back.

Paul was sort of having an off day, so there was no doubt in his mind that he would be off during his duel today. A certain discussion from his PARTNER had rendered the man quite mopey for the rest of the day, including now.
But it was okay! It would ALLLLLL be okay!
He smiled at Kay and bowed his head. "I"m sure it will be, m'dear!" he said, wand at the ready. Paul didn't realize just HOW dull his reflexes were until the first spell hit him. TONGUE. STUCK. Paul HATED the affects of this spell because hIS MOUTH FELT SOO ODD RIGHT NOW. AHHHH. More alert, now, when the second spell came at him, he quickly hopped out of the way, shooting a very quick, nonverbal glacius charm at her.
Well, this duel was already on its way, then! His tongue was still stuck. HOW DID HE FIX THAT AGAIN? LMAO.

The disadvantage of Langlock was that Kay had no idea when Paul would cast a spell though the advantage of wand movements and lights from the wand certainly help. It was just as she was figuring this out, she suddenly the jet of light from Paul's wand distracted her. Not today, Paul! Whatever spell it was, it would not be affecting her. She sidestepped to her right and the light missed her completely. Now there was not a moment to waste.
''Slugulus Eructo!'' Would Paul be burping slugs soon? We'll see!

Paul got his tongue unstuck, thank Merlin, and quickly waved his wand to cast the shield spell, deflecting the curse back to her. Because no, Paul refused to vomit slugs. NOT TODAY!
He also sent a flipendo her way, hoping to knock her backwards or at least...make her disoriented a bit, eh? "Incarcerous!" he didn't think it would hurt to send another spell her way, either, eh? He smirked and stuck out his tongue at her.
BECAUSE IT WAS NO LONGET STUCK TO THE ROOF OF HIS MOUTH, HAHA!

"Protego!'' No way! Kay was not going to let her own spell be used against her. However, she was too slow in deflecting the Knockback Jinx and the result was that she was blasted backwards. She was pushed back for quite a bit but at least she wasn't out. Paul just didn't give up, did he? Kay ducked the second spell but looked up back in time to see him stick his tongue out at her. She managed a chuckle. Paul was so amusing and yes, she knew his tongue had come free now.
"Avis!'' Here's to hoping that her little flock of birds could distract her colleague while she threw another spell at him. ''Expelliarmus!''

So ready, that as she casted the birds, he sent a snake her way. The little green guy burst forth from his wand and hissed at the birds flying above, showing its EXTREMELY SCARY FANGS that Paul made a little SHRIEK at his own spell O___O
And, in the process, he lost his DAMN WAND.
"BLOODY HELL, KAYSHA!" he said with a burst of laughter as he dived to retrieve his wand, very dramatically, he scraped his elbows on the ground. OWOWOWOW SCRAPED ELBOWS. WHAT IN THE WORLD WAS THIS FLOOR MADE OF?!?!? "OH KAYSHA, I am DYING--" he cried, more dramatics, grabbing his elbows.
Before he SNATCHED HIS WAND UP and sent a levitation charm towards Kaysha. SHE LIKED BIRDS, DIDN'T SHE?

OH DAMN! A SNAKE!
Kay's eyes widened as she fought back panic but yet she backed away as fast as she could. Hello, she was afraid of snakes. She always had been ever since she was a child. ''Incendio!'' Snakes didn't like fire, right? This one definitely didn't. It recoiled and slithered away... somewhere. Kay shuddered.
Then there was Paul was his funny antics that made her forget about the reptile. She was laughing at his dramatics. "Are your elbow alri-'' Never mind that, Kaysha she told herself. Birds incoming at twelve o' clock! Kind hearted Kay banished them, concentrating on the Grounds of Hogwarts to send them there. Once the arena was bird free, she turned her attention back to Paul to send the Curse of the Bogies at him. She would be almost sorry if the spell hit him.

A duel between the Professors was always interesting, wasn't it? It gave the man an insight as to what the duelling tactics between his colleagues were as well as seeing just how much they knew. There was a lot to learn from these duels.
Standing in his usual spot, the man looked as chill as ever, only his eyes darting back and forth between the duelling pair. He knew that Paul was a force when it came to this sport but Kaysha seemed to be putting him through his paces. This was exactly what he liked to see.
When the time came to a close, Hirsch struck up the barrier between the two, rendering Kaysha's spells useless. Sorry. "Very well done, you two, very well done, indeed," he said, emerging from his spot and making his way towards the pair, "I have to say, you've put up a great fight, Kaysha, but Paul came out on top. Congratulations, Paul." Smile.
Now, the only question that remained was: did Kaysha have to wear a poncho at the end of this?
