| | The Wooden Bridge Also known as the Covered Bridge, the Wooden Bridge appears derelict, connecting from the Courtyard. The appearance has been kept dated due to the natural environment surrounding it, despite attempts to improve it. Though the floor occasionally creaks beneath your feet, that is just for the effect as you can look out into the horizon from here safely.

He just liked the art of fishing and that it soothed his mind and was predictable. Too little on a daily basis at a school like Hogwarts was ever predictable but fishing or reading a book was.
Pulling the line in Leo answered Ansley's question with a shrug "Plants books were the only books thrown about and lying damaged on the restricted sections floor, so that's why I naturally drew that conclusion unless someone just randomly started their search there on the hunt for something completely different and then left because they got interrupted." There were some dangerous book in the section Merlin knew so Leo hoped that they would get to be untouched and undisturbed in the future.
Putting his fishing pole down on the bridge floor Leo said to Ansley as he raised a brow in confusion. "Um, which time do you mean? Peeves I caught in the act. The other incident happened while we were away on summer vacation. Is there an alarm strong enough that can alert me of an intruder in the library if I'm not currently inside the castle?" He'd have to ask both Roderick and Julien about that when he saw the two of them at dinner later that night. "I'll take your advice though and strengthen all the magic surrounding the section. It can't hurt." Leo reasoned. It was better to be extra safe than sorry. As for Christmas plans. Well. "Same here. Family time with my wife and son. Cassie wants us to start looking at houses." Ansley supposed he would have come to the same conclusion too if he were presented with the same situation, but he had been curious and Leo hadn't given him all the information. "That's a pretty fair assumption then, though it could have been random too..." He thought it over for a moment. "I wonder what for though," he mused aloud. It was curious and a bit disconcerting.
Why on earth was Leo looking at him like he was crazy? Ansley returned the expression. It wasn't exactly like he told him that he caught Peeves in the act or that he was not in the castle when the other destruction happened. But yeah, there were such charms and he was very surprised that he did not have them in place especially around the restricted section. "Well, yeah, even a simple protean charm will do that. So I am sure that there would be something stronger that could be tied with an alarm." Hopefully he did get some sort of better security in place. He hated that his things were rummaged through as he wouldn't like that to happen to himself. "Hopefully the damage wasn't too bad." "Oh, well, that sounds nice," he said with a nod. Ansley didn't currently need more than a flat for himself, but he could understand the need for a house when there was a family. "Where are you looking?"

"So what do you think of this place?" Maddie had started packing her things, eyes on what she was doing when she asked. She was still mildly curious about the guy and had had her fill of silence. After fastening the buckle on her back, her eyes found his again. Someone was confident in their work.
He wasn't going to rip it up, but he did fold it and stick the picture into one of his other occupied pockets. Only Merlin knew what he would do with it later. "Kinda sucks. Whole bunch of nothing to do here." He had many more interesting things to do at Beauxbatons at least. "The food is good." Possibly the ONLY complement he had for Hogwarts. "You're not in my house, are ya?"

It was a beautiful day! The sun was shining and there was a light breeze blowing. Who cared if it was still only January and there was a light touch of snow still on the ground. Not Hady. Having completed her homework and lessons for the day it was time for some fresh air. Which is what brought the sixth year down towards the bridge.
Slow steady footsteps were taken along the bridge, her hand running along the wooden railing. About mid-way she stopped walking turning to look out over the view. It was calm, quiet and beautiful. These things alone were enough to take her mind off of everything else. The last few weeks since returning from break had been going well for her which was a pleasant change to the first half of the term.
Resting her hands on the railing Hady sucked in a deep breath or fresh air, blowing it out slowly. Ahhh. Now this was really nice.

He'd been wrestling with his thoughts for days now, a deathly peculiar circumstance for someone who was typically so easily decided and dedicated to their plans. Two letters sat in his pockets instead of with the people they were addressed to. This was a stressful task -- being honest. How had he gone so long without saying anything to the one person that deserved to hear what he had been up to in secret and behind her back? Oh, what a bad friend he was. What a bad everything he was, honestly. Rooney Bronwyn was nothing short of a terrible human being.
He'd been pacing his way around the grounds for at least an hour so far, and found himself and his feet tapping their way across the wooden bridge, head in his own.

As for the food, she nodded in agreement. It was one of the things she missed when she was away from this place. "I'm in Ravenclaw." So no, seeing as she'd never seen him around the common room. "Which house are you in?"

He'd been pacing his way around the grounds for at least an hour so far, and found himself and his feet tapping their way across the wooden bridge, head in his own. In. Out.
In. Out.
Slow relaxed even breaths. The fresh air, sunshine and the small gentle breeze blowing through her hair. Simple things that made her happy and helped her to relax. It was so easily done just standing out here on the bridge, alone and with nothing but the sounds of nature and her own thoughts.
At least she had been alone. Before the sound of footsteps could be heard drawing nearer. Slowly Hady turned to glance to the side and slight over her left shoulder. A boy. Younger then herself. Rooney. Prefect Rooney. A small smile formed on her lips. He was a nice boy, deserving of badge he wore on his robes. Usually cheerful and pretty upbeat. Only right now he didn't appear so cheerful. "Hello Prefect Rooney, something got you down this morning?," she greeted following up with the question. She didn't know him to well honestly but sometimes talking to someone who you weren't all that close with was a major plus. It helped you not only clear your head but at times the other person was able to give a prospective that maybe you hadn't been aware of earlier.
Even if Rooney didn't feel like talking it was still the polite thing to do. Greeting him that is.

He was just about to kick out a stone off the bridge when he caught sight of Miss Hady and found himself forcing a smile for her benefit. "Girl stuff, Miss Hady. I'll be okay, though. I did some writing." Of letters. To girls. And he most definitely felt like the worst person in the world because of it. And he hadn't even given them out. Why was this such a big thing? Dedicating himself to someone that he wanted to kiss whenever he wanted to kiss and not hidden in corners to save the feelings of a third year that he'd been waiting around for forever..
Man, this was the worst. It made him completely anxious and he wanted to hide under a rock right now. Maybe under this bridge... "Can I ask you something?"

Man, this was the worst. It made him completely anxious and he wanted to hide under a rock right now. Maybe under this bridge... "Can I ask you something?" A forced smile. This Slytherin knew one when she saw one having been giving them out herself many times more then she could count this term. The reason he gave her in return to her question was more then enough. Girls. That was all that needed to be said. The opposite gender was indeed a very confusing topic and was more then enough to drive someone very sane completely batty in a short amount of time. However that didn't stop her from turning around, facing him and giving him a warm smile. "Does that help? Writing I mean, does it help?" Normally she would dance, play the drums or sketch even but did this writing out your feelings thing work? "Uh, sure. Go ahead," Hady shrugged her shoulders a little bit. Whatever he wanted to ask she'd do her best to answer it the best she could. Just don't hold it against her if her answer was stinkish.

"I have no idea. It’s super disconcerting in any case and if it was random like you’ve suggested then what would the motive behind the act have been?" There were just so many unanswered questions. He didn’t know what to think. If it was a random act like Ansley suggested then what was the motive? Cause disarray and damage because someone could and it was fun? "Do you think Peeves new lady friend Miffy could have done it to impress her love?" Peeves certainly liked to mess up the library books every chance he got even if Leo scared him away, he always came back. It was annoying.
Realizing that he probably wasn’t very fair to Ansley for pouring out all his worries on him Leo pulled a hand through his hair and smiled weakly as he genuinely apologized for his behavior. "I'm sorry for being weird on you. I just feel so powerless, worried and anxious. Thanks for the Protean Charm idea. I'll ask Julien about it at dinner tonight. The damage wasn't as bad as it could have been." Leo was extremely glad that a new fire hadn't run through the library. "We haven't actually started the house hunt yet. Do you know of any good neighborhoods? Don't you live in London too?" Or had Leo gotten that wrong?

Yes, he would agree that it was very disconcerting and that he would have been very concerned himself had it been him. But he wasn't suggesting that he thought he had any answers or knew anything that Leo didn't. "I was merely pointing out that it might be another option that could have happened." Didn't mean that it was though. "Sure, it's possible that it could be Miffy too..." Now that there were two poltergeists around, there was potential for double the trouble.
Ansley returned the smile. "No, it's fine. I understand that you're just concerned." And he would have been himself. "Yes, I think that would be a good idea," he nodded. "Just sounds like you need some stronger wards or refresh the ones you have." Spells did loose their efficacy over time and sometimes just needed to be recast. "Yeah, I do... I thought you did too, though?" Obviously not in the same part of town, but he figures Leo would know about as much about the area as he did. "I live in a nice part, but I also just live in a flat. There aren't many family houses around there." He wasn't sure how much help he really could be.

Thoughts were beginning to weigh heavily on Ilia once more. The stoic young witch went for a walk on the grounds to ease her mind, as she so often did. A cool morning breeze passed through and began to toss her long golden mane as the tall snakette walked. She was reminiscing about the place with every step, knowing that so she wouldn't see it again. Walking to the bridge where she had made so many memories, she saw a wild Zeke in his natural habitat. Another creature she liked but was soon to not see. Snakette didn't bother announcing herself and simply dropped her little booty beside his to ruffle his hair. |

He wasn't at all concerned about the state of his hair, between the wind and its natural messiness he didn't stand a snowflake's chance in hell of having it look presentable at the minute. Ilia was welcome to do her worst. "Hey, trouble," he greeted her, turning slightly so he was facing her.
