In this spacious room, the trophy room houses the various trophies earned by students over the centuries. From plaques with the names of Student House Leaders from the last century along with House Quidditch Cup & Gobstones Champions. Along with those who earned the prestigious Special Services to the school. All the trophies displayed have been kept in special encasing to prevent further dust from ruining them. Feel free to admire the displays, but do not touch or you may find yourself stuck to them with no choice but to clean them until all evidence of fingerprints have been removed.
The headmaster could not believe that the term was already half-way over. As he strolled down the third floor corridor, he couldn't help but remanence over the events that had already unfolded at Hogwarts – all quite memorable, though some were rather bizarre. The man supposed some of the strange things that had occurred were due to cabin fever and over-stressed students and staff. He hoped that the little get-together he put together would help them recharge their brains.
A satisfied smile appeared on his face the moment he stepped through the doorway to the trophy room. Sahnoun nodded his head as he started walking by the numerous plaques and trophies crediting the school's finest pupils. If this did not inspire everyone, then he didn't know what would. Well, maybe the snacks he had to offer them would give them an energy boost. The man chuckled quietly to himself as he grandiosely waved a hand.
Near the centre of the room, a table appeared followed by various healthy snacks and beverages – bowls of mixed veggies and fruit, yogurt, plantain chips, tea, apple juice, etc. The old man stepped toward the table and rearranged a few items before stepping back and examining his handiwork. He then waved his hand once again, this time producing an old record player that filled the room with rhythmic African music.

James did not sign up for this.
And like most situations that came along with the job, he would rather not have any part in this little “gathering”. Anything that meant tons of students in one room together was a recipe for disaster. It was a common known fact about this school. Though unfortunately this giant conglomeration of students was called for by the new Headmaster. Which meant, James would be in attendance. Because despite his often apathetic demeanor, James wanted to earn some brownie points with the big guy.
Only here to earn his get-out-of-jail-free card, people. Not because he wanted to be here.
Unsure of whether or not the Professors were meant to contribute to this “party”, James brought along some brownies that were left in front of his door earlier this morning. Walking into the trophy room, he dropped the plate of brownies on the table in the center of… all the healthier snacks? Didn’t the Headmaster know that children didn’t eat healthy? It was why they were so obnoxious. But never mind that. James had done his part.
Besides, he had been wanting to get rid of the brownies from the moment he had seen them. He didn’t eat sugar. It was poison for the body.
Turning to the Headmaster, he forced a smile, ”Wonderful day for a party,” that was debatable. He had shown up early hadn’t he? Joy. Ah great, there was background music too. He hated this. Ultimate regret. Brownies points were not worth it.

Music!? Why was there music coming out of the trophy room? This was something that needed investigating, and that's exactly what Hadley was up too. She pulled her dark red hair back and tied it into a ponytail, as she slowly crept along the wall to toward the doorway and stealthily peeked around the corner.
...
There was a table filled with food and music playing, like a party set up or something. And the Headmaster. Hadley had been hoping to run into the Headmaster to ask him all about becoming an animagus. He'd done it, he knew first hand how to do it. Valuable this man was.
Plus, that voice of his.
Relaxing a bit, Hadley entered the room. "Hello, Headmaster. I was wondering if I could pick your brain about what animagus training was like?" Oh, yes. Hadley was being very cautious about her wording, conveying herself as just a student curious about the process and nothing more. She glanced around, and even from the inside it looked even more like this was a party set up. Did she miss a notice board announcement or something?
But before she could ask about it, she spotted him. Drapes. The fact that the residual 7 year old within, that never fully got cured, thought fondly of him and was making her feel very conflicted didn't help much. "Oh, it's you..."

Free food? Socialization? Inspiration? And did someone say FREE FOOD?? Who in their right mind would pass that up? Definitely not this prefect, which was why Frankie headed straight for the trophy room the moment his class was over.
Thankfully he wasn't very far from the third floor at all, so he was one of the first to be there. There was old man Sahnoun, Drapes, and a young eagle. His eyes didn't linger on them very long though. Just as soon as he had entered the room of shiny awards, plagues, and trophies, he had nothing but devouring food on his mind. Though he did give everyone there a head nod, surprisingly in sync with the music, right before he started his food pile.
He grabbed a plate and started with the veggies ... then the fruit ... MERLIN. WERE THOSE BROWNIES?
Frankie was tempted. Oh so very tempted. As an Animagi-in-training, he knew that he was supposed to avoid sweets. But a little one wouldn't hurt, right? And Ichihara wasn't there to transfigure him into a pig for indulging, so ... he quickly snatched one, making sure to save the dessert for after he got through his fruit and vegetables. He'd work off that brownie later. Promise.

A party for no one dying, for no weird weather changes, and for nothing else mostly going wrong was exactly what Dot wanted right about now. It was a pleasant break from her NEWT studies and dance practice, and she was hoping there would be loud music and some unruly dancing.
Granted, it was a party thrown by the Headmaster, so the most she could hope for was polite conversation and a veggie platter, but getting out... was getting out. It was worth it just to close her books and leave them behind.
Dot grabbed a cup of tea and waved politely at the professors gathered, and her fellow prefect, and Hadley the shover. She valiantly ignored the brownies, which were not on her trying-out-for-WADA eating regime, but... they were gooey and amazing and... "Someone split this with me. It doesn't count if you share it, right?"
Why did it seem like all the older students were suddenly really anxious about eating chocolate? It was the first thing Jaemin noticed when he trotted up to the party thing, just a bit curious about what was going on there. It wasn't like there wasn't food in the great hall, or the kitchens, but a party was a party and even if he found it odd that they were celebrating... not dropping out or dying... he was going to go just to have a peek around.
There were strawberries. Ohhhhhh yum. The small Slytherin, with grey hair again today because that stupid colour-changing charm just would not work for him, snuck up to the table after his prefect and peeked at every single thing there was. He ate quite enough veggies on a daily basis, or so he thought, but he would take some fruit... and a brownie. Because it was a brownie, and not a cupcake. He hadn't been able to eat a cupcake since the incident with the Halloween treats, which was awful because he really loved sweets quite a lot.
His ears went red just remembering the incident, and the boy scurried away from the table with his stuff and some apple juice as Prefect Dot called for someone to split a brownie with her, tucking himself out of the way to watch everyone and eat his sweet things.

Kaycee couldn't help it. A flyer about a socializing thing thrown by the visiting headmaster? Sounded good to her.
She headed in to the trophy room nodding a greeting to her fellow Prefects. Oh. And there was a professor and a few young students. Hi to them too.
She headed straight to the snack table and helped herself to a few carrots. It took her a minute to notice that everything besides a single plate of brownies was healthy. She didn't really care though. She was fine with healthy food.
Now, what was the other purpose of this event? Trying to envision her name on a trophy? Too late for that headmaster. She had TONS of those. One even in this very room.

Olly was always up for a party, even if he wasn't really sure what it was for. Making it halfways through the school year? Sure. Whatever the party was for, he was there for it. Except it was just in the trophy room, so how many people could even really fit in there? The room was already filling up by the time he arrived, and he hoped not too many more came because where would they go? He smiled at the other guests as he passed on his way to the snack table. That was the most important area obviously. Except it was all healthy food, which was a bit disappointing. The only thing that really jumped out at him was the single plate of brownies, and look there was Dot offering someone half of hers!
"Hi Dot! I'll split it with you!" Not only was he excited for the brownie, but also for splitting it with Dot. Because he loved Dot and he hadn't seen her much this year which was awful because she was leaving at the end of the year. Except he wasn't thinking about that now because it would just make him sad.

The rhythmic THUD THUD THUD of Pebbles on her leash announcing his arrival, Airey stepped into the trophy room just a few steps behind the Creatures professor. Was the man still enjoying his peep hole courtesy of himself and Mr. David Truebridge? Airey had not been down to look nor inquire of the man and, truth be told, did not fancy actually asking him either.
"Sweet solstice...did not know this was a pot luck," he mumbled to Pebbles, who did not seem too phased by them arriving sans anything to contribute to the spread. "Nor did I know you baked," he grinned at James, the astronomer's fingers wiggling about as he eagerly snatched a brownie and set it on his plate.
Bakes goods. The man was a sucker for them and the only exception when it came to gifts from students.
Given recent developments, however much he wanted to just leave the brownie as the sole thing on his plate, he reached for some vegetables and plantain chips to balance out the meal. Yes, Pebbles, he saw the look. He was watching his diet...sort of. Gourmet marshmallows were also hard to say no to.
"Live long and prosper, Headmaster," Airey greeted the man, Vulcan salute and all, followed by curious stares between the man and Pebbles. "What did you name him? Behaving himself I trust." Since the man had not been by to check up on matters.
Airey was about to take a bit of his brownie when he spotted Pebbles giving him a look out of the corner of his eye. "Fine," he grunted at the rock on a leash, instead begrudgingly settling for gnawing on a baby carrot.
Oh! Both of his prefects were here as well. Stellar. Quick winks and Vulcan salutes were thrown their way as well.

That flyer had said there was to be a gathering in the trophy room. Food and music as well as socialization. Truly she didn't need any of it but being her typical Hady self one could only assume that she would show up to this thing. Those that guessed would've been right for as soon as her lesson was over she dropped her things off in her dorm and made her way to the trophy room.
Entering the room her eyes quickly scanned the area to see what there was. "Hello Headmaster, Professor Draper, Professor Airey," She greeted them all with a small smile. On her way to the food table she gave a nod of her head to her peers. It was simpler then individual 'hellos' to them all.
Grabbing a plate she put some fruits and vegetables on it completely passing over the brownie. As much as she lover those it wasn't needed. She also poured herself a cup of apple juice. There. Healthy. At least for now anyhow.

A mid-year party for no other reason than to let everyone recharge their brains, eat some healthy food, drink some nice beverages and mingle in a relaxed and inspiring location was an absolutely wonderful idea. Leo had voiced that much when it had come up at their last staff meeting.
Headmaster Shanoun was a drifty man who thought off both students and staffs well being. Evidence of that was everywhere. Leo had to admit that having a visiting headmaster was actually a good thing.
It was nice to get out off the library and lay his thoughts and worries aside for a few hours. To just be and hang out with the students and his colleagues because he wanted to. The HoH pin only had a minor impact on his choice to attend the event.
Entering the Trophy Room where soft African music was playing in the background Leo smiled cheerily around the students and staff present. "Hello everyone!"
Spotting Headmaster Shanoun in a corner Leo called over with a glance in the senior boss man's direction. "Lovely initiative Headmaster. I hope plenty off students will turn up." Heading for the food table Leo came to a stop near Airey and James and asked his colleagues. "Are the plantain chips any good? Were we supposed to bring along food to this party?" Someone had brought healthy food and brownies. Should Leo have made some cheese rings or a dessert?

Echo didn't have any plans for the night so why not go to this thing. She wasn't even fully aware what it was for but hey good food and pumpkin juice was all the girl needed.
She made it to the Trophy room and entered, some Professors were already there and 1 or 2 students. Echo gave smiles to everyone there but mostly she beelined it for the food. ohhh yassss come to me food.
Oliver was kind of nervous when he entered the trophy room, not really sure what to expect. He had never been one for taking part in school activities and things, but he figured attending this (and getting extra yummy food) would be nice and good for him. He was determined to get out of his shell before he graduated from Hogwarts. Plus, he'd already come this far, there was no use in turning back now.
As soon as he entered, he looked around for anyone he knew or anyone who looked familiar enough.
He spotted Kaycee and Hady, who both seemed to be busy grabbing their food. He didn't want to bother them but he would make sure to stop by and say hi to them before he left. For now, he would go and grab some food and then maybe he'd say hello to the headmaster (though Ollie was kind of afraid of him, oops) and to Professor Flamsteed. It all depended on how well the night went.

As he made his way over to the table of food, he glanced down the table to see what his options were and realized the girl from History of Magic and Charms was standing right in front of him. Maybe this was a sign or something. Had to be. Now if he could just remember her name.... Oliver felt like her name started with an E, but it was possible he was just thinking of Esme. Maybe just a hello for now would be okay. Names were for later. "Uh, hi there." Yup. That was all he had for right now. Nerves were so real.

Echo's plate had been piled high and she was almost turning around when she heard a boy's voice..
"Merlins beard......."
her plate wobbled and she tried to regain her balance. "dont sneek up on people like that, almost gave me a heart attack!" she wasing being rude but to be honest he actually scared her pretty good. "ohh no" she said while looking on the floor. "that one looked so good too" fare well fallen cookie, too bad no one was going to be able to eat you.
putting the plate down she finally registered who the kid was, the one who had been making Echo laugh the last few classes. "sorry... i was in my own little world" yeah the one loaded with food. Staring down at the little cookie on the floor she continued talking. "your names Oliver right??" she hoped so because she wasnt fully sure. "you dont have any other plans either?? I showed up for the food, the professors always have a good spread" waving her arms over the table in like a magicians assistant type of way.

"Perfect!" Dot grinned wide at the younger boy before slicing her brownie in half. The bigger half went on a plate, which she handed off to Olly. The smaller half went right into her mouth, and it was gone before she could rethink if it was a good decision. She licked icing off her thumb with a sheepish look.
"Sorry about that, small snake bro, but I've been training for dance auditions and denying myself sweets and... it got away from me." She ruffled his hair. "If this party gets lame, let's start a dance party, okay?"

The world was against him today, wasn't it?
You'd think with all the GOOD he had just done by a) Showing up b) Voluntarily bringing A DESSERT DISH and c) Being semi-approachable, would mean that he'd have a streak of good karma or something. Of course not. That was asking for too much.
Much like, Airehead Flamsteed. Always asking for too much.
James gave him a forced smile, knowing very well that the man was trying to get under his skin. "Well, I wouldn't have wanted to show up..." cue the pointed, judgmental look, "empty handed. That would have been rather embarrassing." James Draper would have the last laugh, thank you very much.
Not to mention the fact that James didn't actually bake these brownies. He had found them. But no one had to know they were being re-gifted. So he'd play coy. If anyone asked, he did bake them. So thanks, Airhead.

Merlin, when would this be over? The "event" had essentially just started and James was already hoping for the end. "Miss Richards," he nodded, taking a few steps towards the Prefect. Leaning forward just a bit, "The flyer didn't mention an 'end time', did it?" Was he being too hopeful?
Probably.
But if anyone ought to know, it should be the Prefects. James had realized a few days into the last term that often they were more clued in than most of the staff.

........ Nope.
James didn't even want to deal with this one.
So instead of giving the librarian a definite answer, James only shrugged. Airhead could take this one.

Oh. Hey there Professor. Kaycee hid a little giggle behind her hand then shook her head. "I don't think so, Professor." she said with an amused smile. "You could always fake an animal emergency, though." she suggested.
It worked with getting out of bad dates, why wouldn't it work at a school function?
Although, she wasn't sure why anyone would want to leave. She was feeling this music.

This was the first mid-term party that Esme had ever been to. Yep. Should be interesting especially since she didn't think they had ever done something like this before at the school.
"Hello, Headmaster! Hello, Professor Draper, Professor Flamsteed, and Mr. Kitridge! I hope you are all doing well." They got smiles. She liked Draper more now that he was being nicer and if she ended up doing the Unicorn farm thing that Oliver had suggested she should speak to him about career options at some point. Speaking of Oliver, there he was. 'Hey," she said as she joined him and Echo. "How are you both doing?" She set about getting a plate and trying to figure out what she wanted to eat.

Free food.
Really that is all that’s needed to get the Gryffindor Ace to show up for anything.
So Tenacius decided to pop in just as his break came up. Oh look several Profs where here-- Flamsteed, Draper, Kitridge-- an extra cheesy grin for him lest he brings up his literary handiwork to his own HoH standing right.there-- a big happy wave hello from the Curly Top. Same goes with Prefects Frank and Kaycee. He's being a good boy see, nothing to report, move along move along.
Ah the Dazzling Denaker was here "Hey Carrot Top." yeah she earns that nickname, because his buddies always have one. And although most of his buddies are actually babyhood besties, Haddie has definitely earned that spot on his buddy list.
Prefect Dot with the red red hair? He wouldn’t dare. For one thing he' still half her size and she may suddenly hex him for the hijinx with the crup. He does give her a sweet "Hi Prefect Dot." and the trademarked Tenacius grin. Please don’t kill him. Yet.
But whoah ok, the visiting Headmaster. Be a bit more formal eh? Pssh this is Tenacius, just look at him, the only thing formal about him was his uniform. "Hello Headmaster Sahnoun. Nice tunes!" and he meant it too, he was starting to miss his African vacation days. He should tell his dad to schedule another trip.
Speaking of his dad, this is the TROPHY ROOM. The room that bears the proof of his dad's endless stories of his great Slytherin days and yada yada yada. Supposedly the original plaque that bore his father's achievements were in here. Not that he ever doubted the authenticity of his fathers stories.... Well ok, he is kinda curious if the plaque at home and the one here actually read the same. For all he knew, the original actually says 'Stradivarius Salander Headache of Hogwarts' or something.
Yeah thats what crazy is, when its broken you say theres nothing to fix++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++And you pray that everything will be okay, while you're making all the same mistakes

So where is it?.....
And suddenly Hadley Denaker felt bad. For Drapes...which only ticked her off more. Somewhere inside of her was still the seven year old girl that had hugged him, and excitedly dragged him along to the winged horses. The seven year old that liked him.
It was messing with her head something fierce when it came to Drapes. And without meaning to, she said, "Sorry, Professor." Pause. Her eyes went wide as she realized what she said, and she winced. "I mean...I...DANG IT!" She spun and stormed away before it got any worse.
Oh there was Salamander...err, carrot top? Hadley dragged her hair over her face and coyly looked at the boy through it. She let go with an amused grin and shrugged. "So, how was your holiday break?" She asked, but he seemed distracted at the moment by looking at the trophies. "Looking for something?"

A mid term party? This was new.. And perhaps slightly foreboding.. Hooray we are all still alive, let's have a party? Well..Why not? The little girl came prepared though..
She had baked some of her peanut butter chocolate chip cookies for Cour and had tons left over, so she had stopped by the kitchens and grabbed the rest of the platter and headed up to the third floor.
She entered the room and moved to set her cookies down on the table with the rest of the food. She set up a little sign on the cookies, just to make sure people knew what they were.. Some people had allergies after all!
"Hello Headmaster, Professor Draper, Professor Flamsteed, Mr. Kitridge.." She said with a bit of a smile at them all. "I brought some cookies that I made, I hope you don't mind?" She turned her purple eyes from them and looked around the room.. She saw Esme and Echo talking to a boy she didn't know.. And then Haddie talking to Tenacious. She waved at them all.. wondering who she should go talk too.. She didn't really know any of the older kids..
People were slowly trickling in. Slooooowly. A few here and there. Jaemin watched each person, humming to himself as he put strawberries on top of the big slab of brownie he'd snatched off the table. Fruit and chocolate were really good together... he opened his mouth as wide as it would go and managed to get a good sized bite that included a whoooole strawberry.
He chewed it slowly, cheeks puffed out as he gave Azura a return wave. His attention went from Azura to Haddie, because she had just taken off running away from Draper... what had the man done? And then he set his eyes on Flamsteed, and he gave the man a wave as well before turning his attention to one of the trophy cases. Was this what they were supposed to be doing? Eating stuff and reading old people names?

Offering Miss Lynch a Vulcan salute - he was unable to speak for fear of spitting carrots on the sixth year - Airey turned his attention towards the librarian and shrugged. "I have not tried those yet," he replied upon swallowing the rest of his carrot. His blue eyes lingered on the brownie again...but then Pebbles was giving him THAT look so he refrained. "If we were...I didn't get the memo...But James here did," he grinned foolishly, even going so far as to give his colleague a bit of an awkward pat on the back just between his shoulders. The Creatures professor did not have the aura of a certain former Headmistress at the moment. Key phrase being 'at the moment.' "Put on his apron and baked brownies."
Moment over? Most likely. Oops?
Picking up one of the plantain chips next, Airey offered Miss Darcy a proper Vulcan salute complete with "Live long and prosper," before taking a bite. Was Pebbles satisfied now? Could he take a bite from his brownie?
Glorious baked goods...
The smile of Mr. Salander was...a bit unnerving (people may think you are..........up to something, young man) but the astronomer's attention was quickly drawn to Miss Kennedy and her...
"Cookies! Don't mind if I do," he grinned while selecting two one from her offerings and taking a bite before Pebbles could say otherwise. HA! Maybe Ravenclaw females weren't so bad as thus far they were two for two on baking abilities. Miss Wright being the other. "You and Professor Draper could have a bake-off sometime, Miss Kennedy."
Airey returned Mr. Song's wave with one of his own, realizing at that moment he had not yet actually tasted his colleague's attempt. So he did that now.
HMMMMMMMMMM...
"But...between you and me, Miss Kennedy. You've got this in the bag."
The bake off that is.
But that did not prevent him from finishing off both the brownie and the cookie.
And Pebbles could stop looking at him like that. He had plantain chips back in hand now. Sweet solstice.

Oliver seriously kind of wanted to laugh when the girl (Echo) jumped a little and dropped a cookie. He hadn't meant for that to happen, obviously. He kind of thought she would expect people to talk to her since they were at a...thing. Whatever this thing was. Social gathering? Whatever it was, there were people there who were gonna talk to each other. Sorry, girl person.
"I reeaally didn't think you'd get scared, I'm so sorry!" He was still grinning while saying this but at least he wasn't laughing??? Ollie picked up a napkin and grabbed another cookie (y'know because germs) and set it on her plate. "There you go! Dessert is covered." Although who only takes one cookie? But he was gonna let her do that on her own.
Nodding, he smiled more, wondering how she was able to remember his name. "Yeah, I am. And...I might have forgotten your name or never heard it. What is it??"
And now it was Oliver's turn to jump when someone Esme apparently, was behind him talking to him. Maybe the girl had a point about walking up behind people and scaring them. Turning to face the Hufflepuff, he beamed. He hadn't seen her since Charms class. "Esme! Hi. I'm doing great. How are you??" He really liked Esme. She was the best.
