The Treehouse

http://i1026.photobucket.com/albums/...psii7unf1p.png
Since it's first discovery in the 2050s, the treehouse has maintained its presence throughout the years with upkeep and improvements thanks to the many Groundskeepers. A massive tree houses a wooden fort that sits high up in its branches. A rope ladder automatically descends down upon approach. Once inside you are greeted with a spacious place to lounge, much larger than the exterior leads on.

Whether you choose to bird watch, study or simply relax with friends, this place makes it easier with the mini fridge that refills with cool beverages, thanks to Mr. McLeod. If you happen to slip, don't worry, you are greeted with a bouncing charm on the ground keeping you safe and free to climb back up again.

Lisa!

Harriet was still exploring the big grounds of Hogwarts. She had known that they were going to be big but she didn't think that they would be this big. She was loving it all. The grounds were fast becoming her favourite place. She remembered her father telling her all about the grounds and telling her stories about when he was a student. She remembered the memoires fondly, and was excited to be making her own.

"Oh my days!" She murmured as she came around the corner and saw the big tree house. She had a tree house at home, but this one was amazing. "Oh. I Really am going to love it here" Especially if everything was this amazing.

Maggie had found that while she wasn't a huge fan of the treehouse as such she quite liked the tree it was in. Like, it had the perfect location for people watching AND if you sat in the grass underneath it you got the PERFECT combination of sun and shade.

Therefore: perfect tree.

Brushing down her dress Maggie was once again sitting there, taking advantage of the still dry and somewhat warm weather. She only looked up briefly when she heard someone approach the tree(house) but quickly went back to writing in her journal. She was going to have to get a new one soon actually. Hmm.

It was almost 5 o'clock at night on a Friday...and Olivia could be found hauling a huge blanket roll (along with her nifty bag from the train with its undetectable extension charm still in place) out across the grounds. She'd promised Blaise "friendsie time" and because of that, the blonde was going the extra mile to make their time together amazingly awesome!

So, they were going to watch the sun set and have snacks and tea...and just hang out and chat about stuff....because lessons had her drained, to be honest. And weirdly enough, her legs had been aching A LOT lately. She'd have to owl her mum about it...because it was starting to really annoy her.

Ahem, anyway....lugging everything up the ladder to the treehouse was a bit difficult at first, but after some maneuvering, the tiny blonde had managed to push both the blankets and bag up the wooden stairs.

Sigh. Now to wait for Blaise!

Merlin he hated school. Really. Seriously. There was no one in the entire school (except maybe Daxton) who could have been happier that the week was officially over and NO ONE would be able to force him to learn another bloody thing about bloody magic until Monday. Nothing but relaxation and friend time with Liv which he was completely down for. One of the best ways to end the week in his opinion.

Being under the impression Liv would bring the stuff--it being her idea and her insisting and all--the only thing he had to do was show up with his quill and notepad floating alongside him so that was what he did.

Up the ladder the third year went, knowing full well the magical items would be able to keep up. "Need any help setting up?" He asked, his head popping up through the door seconds before the rest of him did.

The Third Year could spread the blanket or help make a fort or just about anything really. Weren't weekends grand?

No, no, Blaise. Olivia had already spread their blanket out, now pulling various packages, containers, and thermos' from her mysterious bag of wonders...(that wasn't actually so mysterious...but SPECIAL SHOUT OUT TO HER MUM for doing her the huge favor.) Could Undetectable Extension charms wear off? Crusty Bananas, Liv hoped that was a negative. The amount of STUFF she kept in this thing...

Ahem, grinning at his quill and notepad, which were floating nearby, the blonde finally settled herself onto the comfy duvet (taken from her bed, yep!!) and swung her legs out over the edge of the treehouse. "Working tonight?" Would Blaise be trying to get juicy goss from her? Haha, sorry to disappoint you, Bellaire, but the spicket was dry these days.

Le sigh.

Every helpful idea he had was shot down one by one as he looked around the tree house. Liv had gotten everything sorted before he even got here and it was hard to compete with that. Next time. Next time he'd be early and he'd be extra helpful. For now though, the Third Year plopped down next to his friend, eyeing his quill only when she'd inquired about it.

"Hardly, but it never seems to want a break. Always convinced there's a story." And when there was none, it made stuff up on its own by tweaking what people said and did. Nifty little thing, he loved it.

"You look like you've been working." He added, nodding towards all the containers of what he assumed were the snacks she'd mentioned. "Must have taken you forever in the kitchen."

Not that the kitchen was so horrible a place. He liked it there and liked how the elves fed him when he visited.

"We need to start causing some trouble....or something....because things seem pretty boring around the school this term." Well, so far. Obviously, it was still pretty early in the term. It'd only been a few weeks since they'd returned, but still. If not properly engaged, Olivia was lost to it all. She needed constant action. It couldn't be helped. In theory, she was Blaise's quill.

Scooting over a bit so he could have more room, Liv smiled sweetly at her friend. She was glad he'd agreed to meet her out here, but Blaise was pretty ride or die. He was always down. Like Bentley. She loved her boys. HERS.

"The house elves did it. They were pretty eager to feed us." Obviously, given the amount of snacks and drinks she'd been loaded down with. She'd eventually reminded them that there would only be two of them.....but they'd insisted. "I bought you some jelly slugs, too."

They were Blaise's favorite, after all. AS WELL AS HER OWN.

For Anita! And Zeke <3

Ilia felt a bit like a child at the moment. She had a map of Hogwarts in her hands and a quill tucked into her long hair. Zeke had been sent an owl saying time to plot what we were discussing. Really, she already had a plan and a few tricks up her sleeves and in her satchel, she just wanted her partner and approval. She was very much ready for that adventure they had been talking about at the feast thank you very much. Adventure was the spice of life and her boyfriend was busy being a head boy and not getting into trouble....so the sparring buddy it was.

Zeke was very much an in-the-moment kind of guy, and while he often planned and schemed and had ideas... he was also comfortable with waiting to develop such things with a partner. Amur was his go-to when it came to these things, but Ilia's playfulness had him curious and amused - especially if it might get her into trouble with the mouse of a Head Boy. Ha!

..

But yes, plans, he was here to make them - the treehouse seemed a logical place to meet to discuss the plight of Hogwarts. Typically speaking, there were fewer Professors out this way than in the castle.

Making his way up with ease, the sixth year spotted his scheming companion, his lips splitting into a grin.

"You look like trouble already..." just saying.

Hattie had stopped away from the treehouse, looking at it. It was really pretty. She liked it already. The grounds at Hogwarts were amazing. She looked around, and noticed a girl. She hadn't noticed her at first. But she had kind of been in awe of the Treehouse. so she was going to say that was why she hadn't been too aware at first. She looked like she was writing, so Hattie figured she might not want to be interrupted.

She looked older too. And Hattie really didn't want to annoy an older person. So she just headed towards the tree, but didn't say anything. Yet.

Echo was just so happy to not be around anyone right now, and what better place for her to be. the tree house. Happy that she was wearing her own clothes and not the robes that were required. It was her free time and sure she should be studying for her OWL's but a girl needed a time to recharge too..... right.....

Bringing her soft slytherin blanket up the rope ladder Echo found the perfect spot, right on the window ledge. It was covered in a soft pillow like thing and it was just perfect to cuddle on, with her blanket and magazine. Time to do some shopping even though she wasnt at home. easy for her to send an owl to her parents to send her things..

Juno needed some quiet time...alone. She loved her sister...Esme was her best friend, and the person who understood her most in the world, but sometimes she needed time to herself. The tree house was always a place of tranquility for her.

She climbed up the rope ladder with ease, climbing inside of the huge tree house. She quickly noticed, however, that she wasn't alone. "Oh, Sorry. Didn't mean to bother you. I can come back later if you want to be alone," She said to the other girl. Juno was pretty sure she had seen her before but couldn't remember the girls name. She definitely wasn't a Hufflepuff...seeing as she was using a Slytherin blanket. Hopefully the girl wouldn't mind her being there.

So here he was at it again. Torrance had managed his way back up to the Tree house same as last year. He made sure this time that the area surrounding the Tree house was clear. No mean Slytherin Prefect to stop him from having his fun. Once he reached the top Torrance began pulling up the rope ladder.

All he could do now was think of how awesome and cushiony the landing will be once he's down there at the Bottom.

Miranda meandered her way to the Treehouse. She had heard alot about it from other students and decided to check it out. When she got there She saw another boy had just climbed up... Hey he was pulling up the rope ladder. She called up to him, "" Hey!!! How come you're taking the ladder up? "Merlin Boys were strange, but still she wanted to get up into th tree house." Can you let it back down so That I can come up?"

Torrance managed to bring it all the way up. Finally, he could do what he wanted to do since last Term! He stood over the opening of the Tree house ready to drop. Then suddenly a voice called up at him.

UUUUuuuuuuuuuuuGGGGgggggh

"I'll summon it down once I'm done!" He called back down to her. He wanted to leave it up at the top where it will not get caught in his foot should he ride it down to her or whatever. No way was he going to let anything ruin this jump.

Miranda just watched him... Why wasn't he letting the bloody ladder down.... " Okay... but... what in Merlin's name are you doing?" she called back up to him. This was very strange behavior indeed. He looked to be preparing for a jump out of the.... " Oh... do be careful!"

He heard her. 'Be Careful' Those are words he hears all the time. What did that mean? "I'm not careful!" he yelled down to her once more. "I'm Torrance Ugo Spades!"

With that he took a few steps back. Only a few, not enough to get a running start. He didn't want to over jump his target. This was just going to be Operation Ugo Drop.

"Here I go! Falling WITH Style!" He leap from his spot in the tree house and went through the opening. Now it was just up to gravity. Torrance was going to enjoy this for as long as he could. He stretched his arms out and bent his knees up just a little. He tilted his head back just some and felt the breeze of the wind hitting him from below take him into his happy place. His Flying place.

Then

THUBOING!!!

The Little Lion made contact with the Ground. As he suspected from his minor spill last term trying to climb the ladder the ground was charmed for his inevitable impact. It had cushioned his landing. Once his feet touched the ground they sank in before bouncing back upwards and he fell backwards on his butt.

"SO AWESOME!" He yelled happily. peering up at the girl who had said she wanted the ladder.

His knees were shaking. he suspected from sheer excitement as he wobbled himself back up.

What was he about to do?! ... He couldn't possibly be going to jump! Was he mad?!... yup. He was she watched as he backed up and sprung forth from the opening at the top of the treehouse.... Gasp This boy was out of his gourd ... But still the look on his face said he had no fear and was thouroughly enjoying himself as he plumeted to the ground. And happened next made her start laughing hysterically.
" That was ... Brilliant! She wanted to try it next... He looked so free for about 6 seconds... but six seconds looked to be plenty enough for the risks of landing in the wrong spot." Can I have a go?" , she asked hopping up and down.

His feet were still wobbling from excitement. He could barely keep them from just turning into Jelly. He wondered, does the charmed ground keep the same hardness at landing despite it's turning into something like a bounce house? It's still the ground so it's still dirt, and soil and grass and rocks. He was starting to think that the bounce did soften the fall thanks to the bounce, but the material of the ground stayed the same and that's what he felt. No pain, but his brain was telling him there should be so his legs went weak. Or did the ground Literally just go full on Mattress material too. He would have to test it once more as soon as his legs strengthened.

"Huh?" Oh she wanted a go. "Sure yeah. Just um be careful I guess. Don't do a running jump just sort of drop from the top." He bent over and grabbed at his knees. This seemed to stop the shaking. He took out his wand then pointed it up at the opening of the Tree House. "Accio Rope Ladder." The Rope Ladder bundled up at the top the tree house inched it's way to the opening then quickly unraveled it's way back down to the two of them. "You're up."

Miranda listened to his instructions and her nerves built up further still as he used the summoning charm to let down the ladder..... Alright, Randi... You can do this... I...Can .. DO THIS! she thought to herself as the ladder inches torward the ground only a few yards from where she was standing. " I'm Randi by the way... Randi Blaze" She offered her hand to him for a handshake then turned to the ladder...Upup up she went. She felt as if she was climbing a hundred wrungs by the time she reached the top of the platform and hoisted herself in in.
She looked around the grounds from the deck and then look down at Torrence, " Oi! Torrence... Look out Below!" She took a couple of steps back as she had seen him do and took a deep breath and heaved herself with a shriek of pure adrenaline from the treehouse" WhoooHoooo!"
After a few seconds she landed Fwump!

that was Amazing .. She was so Happy for those few seconds she nearly peed herself.
" That... Was the best thing I've ever experienced... You do this all the time?"If he did she was gonna be here too... Maybe they could have a contest to see who bounced highest?

Deep in thought as she looked the map over, her ears twitched as she heard someone approaching. The foot falls held a certain familiarity, the voice was music to her ears. Just who she'd been waiting for. His words managed to shift her stoic , doll-like expression to a playful smirk. Her ice blue eyes flicked up to his and her rosy lips held her smile. "I'm the fun kind of trouble for you though."

Ilia rose to her feet in a single motion, map still in hand. "So, I'm always serious when it comes to dragons you know." She wasn't just joking before, not about riding dragons at least. The question was, was Zeke ready and could he handle her? She was hoping she was right about the answer.

No Slytherin was going to convince her to do anything illegal. Uncle Nico, her father's best friend, had gotten her dad into too much trouble while they were at school, though he wouldn't tell her how, and she was not one to be messed with.

Echo laughed, she actually laughed out loud. "come on girl don't get your knickers in a knot" she moved to give her room to sit down beside her on the window ledge and Echo was even going to share her blanket with her. "I just need help picking out some new clothes and stuff for my dorm, i'll owl this to my parents and they will send me what ever i want.." she winked at the girl.

"of you play your cards right you might even get something for free?" would the girl take the deal or yell at her and run away.

Oh. Picking out clothes. Yeah she could do that. She did have a really good sense of style...at least she thought she did. Grinning at the girl's comments, she replied, "AH...now that I can do!" Juno practically jumped towards the girl, sitting next to her on the ledge.

"Oh, girl. I don't need anymore clothes. Trust me. I have a walk in closet full of stuff I never wear." She laughed. "but thanks for the enticing offer. Now what exactly are you looking for?" She looked at the current page the girl was looking at and realized...she hadn't introduced herself.

"Oh, by the way, I'm Juno! I have an identical twin sister named Esme, so if you see someone else looking like me walking around...look at the shoes..." she pointed to her boots, "...I am always wearing some kind of boot. What's your name?" She asked with a grin.

now that was more like it, come on over to the dark side. Seeing the girl jump over to her made her grin. "ohh a walk in, im going to have to see it. Mines more like a bedroom. My family just keeps buying me things" not that she minded of course.

"well im looking for more fall clothes. im so much taller now" which was true she had grown alot and her pants looked like flood pants on her, which was a terrible look. "and i'd also like something to help decorate her dorm" but she knew everyone in her house and this girl wasnt in it. too bad she couldnt see her room. "oh you have a twin sister? and i do like your boots" they were actually quite nice, maybe she would have to get a pair.

"where did you get those boots?" she asked while the girl introduced herself. "Juno, thats an amazing name. mines Echo... like the sound wave thing. my father named me cant you tell" laughing she flipped a page and saw a nice long drapped over the shoulder grey knit sweater. Echo pointed to it "what do you think about that?"

Azura has never actually been to the tree house before, she had seen it last term of course, but never got the chance to visit it. That was going to change today. Lately, she had found that doing things took her mind off of her mother. So any distraction she could find, she did. Anything to keep the pain at bay for a little while.

She approached the tree house and looked at the rope stairs that fell down for her.. Her dull purple eyes looked at it suspiciously..

Azura's were not climbers by nature.. Hmm.. Well.. Might as well just try and get up it.. Right?

Kat was heading out to the tree house. It had been a few days since she had been there. Normally that was where she would be after lessons were over for the day. She'd go up there relax, do her homework, and on the rare occasion fall and stay the night out there. Anyway it had been a few days since she had been there.

She started up to the rope, well it was kind of hard to go up when someone was standing there. Mmmm "Are you going up to the tree house too/" She said not trying to sound rude. She just wanted to get up to the tree house.

Ohh! Whoops! Azura's purple eyes flicked up to the girl standing there and she bit her lip a little. "Yeah, I am, why don't you go up first. " She suggested softly as she took a step back and motioned to the ladder.

She must have been concentrating hard, she hadn't even seen the other girl come up! "Sorry, I really didn't mean to hold you up. " She said as she pushed her dark hair behind her ear. She felt rather bad now, here she was trying to muster courage to get up the ladder and she was holding someone up!

He stood where he was to watch her for a moment, the look of M I S C H I E F growing on her face. Things were never dull with Ilia, that much was certain. "Oh for sure," he agreed, "even when you're beating up on me." Truly though, he enjoyed it. There were few others that had dished it out to him as well as she had. People tended to hold back... but not Ilia.

So when she emphasised her seriousness regarding their dragon plans - or what seemed like HER dragon plans, he was ready to go along for the ride. Figuratively and literally. Obviously. "I believe you, so, what's the plan?" he asked, moving closer to meet her, eyes drawn to the map in her hands. A mammoth circuit for their race?

The treehouse. Another perfect place to take a nap.

Hugo was sure he had the soul of an old man because almost every day he had to take a nap. Why? No one knows. But of course, that was not a problem to him except when exams were coming up.

The Slytherin Prefect climbed the ladder and scanned the room. There was no one. He flopped on a bean bag, took out a bag of sour gummies and a note and small package. It was from Pal. She knew him very well that would always send him some of his favorite food. He had a small storage inside his dorm drawers because midnight snack were important.

Kaycee was busy making sure people were behaving. Such was the life of a Prefect. She took a peek into the treehouse before her eyes landed on Hugo.

She grinned before sneaking over to him.

She nudged him lightly with her foot. "Morning sunshine." she said with a half smirk.

This girl had basically a second bedroom as a closet?? They definitely needed to be friends. "Yeah, I totally need an expansion spell on my closet or something because everything is overflowing and shoved in super tight. I wish I had my parents closet. It's beautiful." She sighed at the thought.

A fall clothes. She loved sweaters and comfy hats and scarves. She could totally get this girl some new trendy clothes. "Well you should definitely invest in some really cool scarves. It is only getting colder." Having to sleep in the dungeons of the castle had to really suck. There was no natural light down there. "I you should see if you could get some charmed windows that make it look like you have some natural light coming in. I am sure it's hard being in the Slytherin dorms. My sister and I are Hufflepuffs, so we have a lot of natural light coming in and it's so nice. And Thanks! I have a collection of boots! It's a slight obsession." She grinned sheepishly.

She looked down at her wedge black suede boots that came up to her knees. They were one of her favorite pairs. "Actually, they are Chanel. My parents got them for me for my birthday." She gave the girl a small smile. Her name was very unique and she loved being named after a Goddess. "Thanks! You have a really great name too! Very unique! My sister's name is Esme." Juno suddenly felt like she was talking about her sister too much. But Esme was her best friend...Juno was kind of a loner otherwise. She looked over the picture of the sweater. It was nice, a bit on the girly side for Juno's taste, but nice. "I like it. It's very fashion forward and you can do a lot with it." She nodded, more to herself than anyone else.

The Gryffindor second year was yet again wandering around the school in her adored oversized sweaters. The current was her weekend sweater as it wasn’t a part of her uniform; not really, she was wearing a cozy bunny sweater. That was the nice thing about it being the weekend, she didn’t have to wonder around in a uniform that frankly she was still getting used to.

It was already mid November, that meant well, a lot considering she would likely have to head home for winter break soon…and that meant that midterm exams would be coming around the bend much faster than she dare dreamed. Scooting closer to the edge she hugged her pet ferret closer to herself before flipping through the book she had brought with her.

Ew.

Boring.

The book was snooseworthy...really...pride and prejudice? Why had India told her to read that load of garbage? She thought to herself before quickly tossing the book over the edge of the treehouse not looking to see where it would land or whom it could hit.

"ohh the expansion spell will most definitely help!!!" when school was over and it would be summer break Echo would have to visit Juno and check it out and help her with her closet. "im super organized, if you could see my closet everything is where it should be! took me a while to do it because im always having to make room but it works!"

"ohh. im going to have to come visit!!!" was it werid that they were getting excited over each others closets?

See this is why she asked for help, she was only looking for sweaters and nice warm pants and hats! she had completely forgotten the scarfs! how could she do such a thing! Flipping a page in her magazine she spotted a few different styles of scarfs. "do you like any of these?" she asked while hearing her about the charmed windows.

"its not what everyone thinks, yeah our common room always has this tint of green from the lake but its fine our dorms always have great lighting." did everyone at school think Slytherins were like mole people, guess so. It would help alot more if we could visit each others common rooms but ya ya, it was against the rules... blah blah blah.

"boots are always a good thing to have an obsession about!" smiling she started to laugh, if this girl could see her closet. he he he

"Chanel always makes a great boot!" looking at it while she picked it up for her to get a closer look at it. "Juno and Esme... and your the one who wears boots. gotcha" how embarrsing would it be if she got them mixed up. "ohh great! okay im going to put it down on the list." taking out her parchment she added the sweater that they both liked down on her list, along with the store it came from and the price. Her parents never cared about price! they all loved fashion as much as she did.

BABY?? WHAT IN MERLIN'S BEARD?? HE WS GOING TO BE AN UNCLE!! He wasn't related to her but WHATEVER, HE WAS GOING TO BE AN UNCLE, OKAY? Those were GREAT news and he couldn't be more happy for her.

Juliette was sitting on her back in a nice field of clovers as she stared up at the treehouse and all its inhabitants. She would climb the treehouse, but..... who was she kidding? She was going to climb that thing and have no regrets! With pride and determination gleaming in her eyes, she stood up and walked over to the tree. She placed her left foot on the ladder leading up to the house then her right food on the next one...

"Too high.... too high," she muttered as she went back to ground level. Heights were not her thing, and the last thing that needed to happen was have the school owl her father a letter stating that she was in the hospital with a broken foot.

She would much rather play it safe, and that's what she did. She walked back over to the field of clovers and sat back down on her back, continuing her people watching that she had been doing moments earlier.

Kay had found out that the Treehouse was a great place to relax a long time ago. Be it sipping on cool fruit juices, chatting with students or just reading a book by herself, she just liked it there. Upon arriving at the House, she noticed Ms McDean making an effort to climb the ladder.

The Muggle Studies professor waited for her to go on up but much to her surprise, Juliette quit after a moment. Frowning a bit, Kay watched her retreat and wondered if she should go after the girl. She decided to do so. Perhaps something was wrong.

"Ms McDean? Is everything alright with you? I noticed that you didn't bother to continue climbing the ladder.''

Juliette had been watching the clouds pass over head while she thought about home. Not this home, or her new home in London. She was thinking about her home in New York and all her friends she had left behind to move her all because her dad wanted them closer to work.

She heard a very familiar voice approach her, and she leaned up so that she was now looking at Professor Stewart. "Oh.." She had not been expecting a Professor to approach her. "Yes, ma'am." Everything was fine and dandy! But the Professor wasn't really referring to how she felt right now, she was referring to the ladder she had attempted to climb earlier.

"Everyone looks like they are having fun up there," she told the Professor. "I just don't like heights, so I decided it was best for me to sit here and watch."

Hoping that Juliette wouldn't mind a professor disturbing her for a bit, Kay gracefully sank to the ground, folding her legs neatly beneath her. "I'm glad you are alright, Ms McDean.'' She smiled as she absently pulled some grass from the ground. Her eyes shifted from Juliette to the Treehouse. "Yes, they are. It's really a nice place. The view is wonderful too.''

She was shaking her head now. She disagreed with Juliette. "Did you know Mr McLeod has placed a Cushioning Charm around the treehouse? This might be a small comfort to you.'' Kay paused for a moment to watch some students ascend the ladder. "Are you willing to try again? I'll be right with you but no one will have to know that I'm giving you moral support.'' She wasn't quite going to let one of her students be a quitter.

Juliette slightly nodded. "I mean, I'm as alright as I'm going to be..." She fiddled her fingers a little bit. "I just miss being in New York," she quietly admitted, hoping Professor Stewart wouldn't do anything dramatic to help her. It just felt good to admit it to someone that she felt comfortable with, and that's all she wanted to do: just talk. She took another look up at the treehouse then said, "It is wonderful."

A Cushioning Charm? "No, I didn't." It was a relief knowing that if she did fall, it wouldn't hurt her... unless she missed the cushioning charm somehow! How far did it reach?! It would be her luck for something like that to happen! "Um, erm...." She remained quiet for a few seconds as she thought about it. "I guess I could." She should of just stayed in her dorm today.

Slowly, she stood up and walked over to the ladder once more.

GULP.

Her heart was racing, and she took deep breaths to attempt to calm herself down. She began to climb up the ladder. Don't look down, she told herself. She made it up a few steps before saying, "I don't know about this, Professor." She kind of just enjoyed sitting in the field of clovers.

The United States? Interesting. "Were you born there or did you recently visit?'' Was Kay being nosy? Surely if she was, Juliette could let her know. Her gaze moved back to the Treehouse. "Perhaps someday you'll get to see the view.'' She wasn't about to force the Hufflepuff to do anything.

Kay nodded. "So I'm glad I let you know about this.'' Perhaps it would make her somewhat calmer and more confident? Oh, what did you know? Juliette was willing to try! The woman got to her feet to follow. "You can do it, Ms McDean!''

She watched, smiling encouragingly. The smile didn't falter when Juliette stopped. "It's quite alright. Remember, it's up to you of you want to go further. So far you're doing wonderfully. Do you think you can go further?''

She watched, smiling encouragingly. The smile didn't falter when Juliette stopped. "It's quite alright. Remember, it's up to you of you want to go further. So far you're doing wonderfully. Do you think you can go further?''

"I was born there," Juliette answered with a short nod. "My father is going to work at the Ministry again, so he moved back." That's why she was here. She was definitely a daddy's girl, so wherever he went, she was going to be there to support him. "Perhaps. If not, I still have a good view from right here." She could see the lake and the castle. What else did she need to see?

...

This was CRAZY! Why was she doing this?? Oh right, she actually kinda liked Professor Stewart and didn't want the lady to thing she gave up easily! "I-I-I can try," she stuttered as she went up another step. There was no doubt one of the students in the treehouse was seeing this. EMBARRASSING! Slowly, she went up a few more steps. Her knuckles were getting white because of how tight she was holding onto the railing to the stairs.

She was only a two or three steps away from the top now, but here's where she made the mistake: she looked down! The one thing she was not suppose to do, she did! She hugged the ladder now as she began to freak out. MAYDAY MAYDAY... SHE WAS TOO FAR UP! "Professor!" She squeaked. "I can't do it!" She didn't care what students were thinking now at the scene; she cared about getting down now.

SPOILER!!: Echo

"ohh. im going to have to come visit!!!" was it werid that they were getting excited over each others closets?

Juno nodded in agreement. An expansion spell would definitely help and then her parents wouldn't have to worry about remodeling the house at all. "Yeah...I really need to reorganize my closet. It is just a mess. But I think that is also because it isn't as big as I need." She shrugged.

Juno thought for a moment before deciding that it would be fun to have someone that wasn't her family over. She didn't have a lot of friends...it was more out of choice than anything...but she really liked this girl. "Sure that would be awesome!"

Juno looked through the page of scarfs. There were a lot that were cool and would keep you warm, and then there were some that were more for looks than anything. She pointed to a black cashmere scarf with purple and silver stars on it, "I really like that one," and then pointing to another scarf that was a beautiful vibrant blue cashmere, "and that one." She loved picking out clothes. It was so fun!

Oh...she didn't know they got light from the lake. She had forgotten that it was under water. "Well, that has to be cool! To bad we can't go into other dorms. I would love to see all of them common rooms for all of the houses." She said with a small smile. It would be neat to sneak in one day....

Giggling, Juno replied, "Well, I have close to 300 different styles of boots...so....it's a little ridiculous." She grinned. Boots were her thing. She had to have every type...and she made sure they were maintained well...unlike her father.

"Chanel does. I think I have about 10 different styles of just Chanel." She had a feeling that, as everyone does, when Echo met her sister she definitely would forget about the boots. She and her sister were so identical it was scary. Other than personality and fashion choices, when they were in school robes, you really couldn't tell them apart. Unless of course you knew that Juno was an inch taller than her sister. "I'm also taller...if that helps." She grimaced a little. She watched as the girl started writing her list. It must have been nice to just have to send what you want to your parents. Juno couldn't do that...her parents expected them to work for things they wanted, despite having all the galleons they could possibly need. But it did make Juno appreciate what she had even more.

Kay nodded. Another American student and it certainly won't be the last. ''I hope he enjoys working at the Ministry. Also, I hope you're not homesick.'' This was something she always wondered about persons and when they moved. Coping with change could be difficult.
*******

Excellent! Juliette was going to try again. Trying and failing mattered a lot to Kay. It was better than just giving up altogether. Plus you never know if you'll succeed on that first attempt. She mentally applauded her student. But then Juliette looked down before Kay could warn her not to. "It's alright, Ms McDean! You can come on down.'' The Muggle Studies did not want the girl to panic anymore.

"I think you've tried enough for today. Perhaps you can try again another day.'' Heights were certainly scary. As a child, Kay had had that fear but she grew out of it as the years had gone by. She hoped it would be the same for Juliette.

"then ohhh yes, im coming over and were going to re-do the whole thing" She was always inviting herself over to other peoples places but they have been talking about this closet for too long and she really wanted to see it. It was funny because she confirmed the invite right before Juno said she could come over, he he he.

"thats such a good one, black, purple and silver.. purple goes great with green so it will work with my school robes" sometimes it was really hard to match things with her Slytherin pride but she seemed to always managed it. "did you want one too? we can have matching ones?" of course she would take one, they looked so pretty.

"I KNOW RIGHT!!! like i bet yours smells good because.. its gotta be near the kitchens some where, im always seeing the puffs around there?" it was strange that it was such a secret between houses. "and it must be bright.. yellow... all that yellow" she blinked her eyes as in making a joke and she giggled. "ohh, i'll have to catch up. I dont really know how many boots i have but im sure its not 300"

flipping through the pages she stopped and looked at some more things. "taller.. gotcha.. well if you ever hear from your sister about a crazy girl calling her... you.. then that would be me" well and it all depended on how identical they were.

*in the party timeline* *another stop and go because I can hehe*

Second stop on Jaemin's Finding Love Grand Tour was the treehouse. He hadn't spent much time in there, neither last year nor this year - there were always other people in there, and he would much rather have sat in the actual tree rather than the fort itself - but he knew that it was a refuge... and that meant that his love could possibly be inside. The bloody-faced second year was shivering more now, though he didn't seem to realise it at all from the way he was moving; he'd been too busy looking for his love to stop at his dorm for a coat, and thus was running around outside in the comfortable, not-very-warm clothing he'd worn to the party. It didn't matter to him if he froze though... as long as he did so after he found her.

The ladder came down as he got close, and he struggled a bit climbing it as his fingers were getting rather cold. He very nearly fell off of it near the top, but managed to keep his grip; panting softly, he threw himself inside, and forced himself to stand. Blankly he looked around the space, stumbling a bit here and there. There were places to hide, of course... but why would his love hide from him? She wouldn't. She would love him just as much as he loved her, so she would come right to him... wouldn't she?

She wasn't here. There was no way she was here. His beautiful reason for living was not in the treehouse, and therefore Jaemin no longer had to be in the treehouse. So he did what any reasonable, love-struck teenage boy would do.

Jaemin opened the treehouse door and, completely ignoring the ladder... jumped. It was a decent fall from the treehouse all the way to the ground, but he was unconcerned about it - his safety was less important than finding his love. It was a good thing were was a bouncing charm below; the boy hit it, bounced, and landed on his stomach on the frozen ground, relatively unscathed but now damp, dirty, and still bleeding from his face. He didn't waste a moment and, still panting, hopped to his feet and took off toward the forest this time. Maybe she'd be there.

A part from the courtyard, the tree house was Bentley's favourite place to shoot from. He could basically see everything across the grounds from where he was. The zoom on his camera handled the rest. After plopping down and unpacking by his favourite window, Bentley brought his baby camera up to his eyes and began focusing on the Whomping Willow. He needed to get that bird as soon as it got close enough for the willow to smack it into smithereens.

Why didn't those silly birds ever learn? He shook his head and focused the camera once again.

Hagan wanted to be outside. The way the munchkin cat dashed straight at the doors when they reached the Great Hall had proved as much. Really Hady couldn't blame him at all. It was a beautiful day so she went along with it and pushed open the door letting them both outside. Her feet instantly began making their way towards one of her many spots, The Tree House. From up there she could relax, enjoy the wonderful breeze and keep an eye on her cat playing below. Or sleeping. Whichever he choose to do this day.

As she walked the friendly fluff ball in question padded along at her side. Wondering if Hagan would indeed play Hady pulled her wand from the holster on her wrist as they drew closer to the tree house. A small wave and whispered incantation later and small butterflies burst forth from her wand tip taking flight only to be directed around as she moved her wand through the air. Hagan taking notice at first looked bored but when one of the winged beauties came just above his head the cat pawed at it before leaping about in very poor attempts to catch one.

A break in the silence drew Bentley's attention away from the Willow to the source of the sound. The sharp clicks of his camera sounded in rapid succession once he focused on the cat and the butterflies, then eventually the owner of the cat [he presumed].

"Let me have some more butterflies," he said while squinting through his camera, lens focused on the cat and the butterflies. "Thaaaat's it...that's it....perfect!." He pulled the camera away from his eyes and looked at what he had gotten.

"Not bad."

Hadleigh laughed softly shaking her head at her own cat. "Silly boy," she whispered softly wrinkling her nose a little bit. She had almost forgotten about the Mandrake leaf which was being held inside her mouth. Almost. It wasn't to difficult to forget when she wasn't speaking or eating. Only two more weeks left though and she would be finished with this part of the training. Two weeks that she wished would hurry up.

Pushing the thought of training from her mind the brunette focused on her cat leaping about. She angled the butterflies just out of the cats reach to make him move and run about, the voice from above catching her attention. Tilting her head to look around it took but a moment to spot the boy with the camera from up in the tree house. Butterflies? Had he been taking pictures of her cat and the butterflies? She tilted her head questioningly at him.

How lucky was he to have a subject just stroll on down to him. Granted he did come down to the grounds to take pictures of birds getting beat up by the willow, but this was an easier subject for you.

Packing up his stuff, Bentley made his way down the tree house and to the base of the tree so he could make the acquaintance of his new subjects.

"Errrm....hello...I'm Bentley." And I'm going to take tons of pictures of you and your cat now. Ha!

It was a rather nice day outside, so Esme had decided that she would head out and enjoy the nice weather as well as get some fresh air.

She had spent a few hours napping and then got a snack from the kitchens so she was in a good mood as she made herself along the grounds. The thoughts of what had happened to her earlier this term were still there - as was her worry about her father - but she had been keeping herself busy as much as possible. It was in dreams that she felt everything the most but then she couldn't escape from her subconscious. Siiiigh.

Making her way up the latter, she was a little disappointed to see that the place was completely deserted. Part of her had hoped that one of her friends or her sister would be around so that she could talk to them. Oh well, she would be seeing Juno later and maybe she could find Oliver and see what he was up to. Esme really liked hanging out with him.

Dora was there. She was simply HIDING, and clearly she was doing it WELL! Hahahahah!

After watching the other girl for a few minutes she jumped from the top of the treehouse onto the balcony there. Like RIGHT beside the other girl. RIGHT. BESIDE. HER.

"Who are you?" she asked rather bluntly, eyes wide and staring at the girl... because that was what she did.

Butterflies still took flight in the path of her fur baby, the cat swatting at them but always missing. It was a good thing really for she didn't exactly want to see her cat capture and then torment a beautiful creature or well any creature really for that matter. Except maybe spiders cause she could very easily do without those.

Hady watched the younger boy make his way down from the tree house towards her and Hagan. The whole time she eyed him and the camera he was carrying. So his name was Bentley hmm. Sounded familiar but not much. Using her tongue she pushed the mandrake leaf to the inside of her cheek before talking. "Hady," which was her obviously. Then a flourish of her hand was given towards her cat. "Hagan." There introductions done and she hadn't even choked on, swallowed, or spit out the leaf. Job well done there Lynch.

O______O

SWEET MERLIN!!!!

What the heck was THAT?!

Esme practically jumped out of her skin as a girl launched herself from the top of the treehouse and onto the balcony, landing right beside her. She would be okay. She just needed to get her heart rate back in check. Nothing to see here besides a startled Hufflepuff. Errr. The whole staring thing wasn't helping matters either. "I'm Esme," she said as soon as she found her voice again. Now she needed to know who thought it was a good idea to jump off of roofs and scare people half to death...

SNICKER!

Dora was still pretty amused by the other girl's reaction. HEHEHEhehehHEHEHE!!

"Hey Esme! I'm Dora. You're in Hufflepuff?" Because robes and all. Not that Dora was wearing hers. She was afraid she was going to rip them so she had tossed hers haphazardly onto the balcony floor. Did a balcony have a floor?

That was a thought for another time, though. Heh.

"Sorry I scared you," she lied. She was not sorry at all. She thought it was hilarious. But to perhaps make the other girl feel better, she finally blinked and stopped all of the staring business. For now.

Clearly the girl was rather amused by having terrified her but Esme wasn't really bothered. They didn't know each other and it seemed rather silly to get hot and bothered over the issue when really she was just glad that she hadn't been landed on. Now THAT would have been a lot worse since she was small. Would have needed the Healer then. As it was, she shrugged the whole thing off. "It's alright."

At least she wasn't being stared at anymore because that always made Esme feel self-conscious like she had a big zit on her forehead or something. "Hey, Dora. I am in Hufflepuff, yes. You're in Gryffindor?" There weren't too many Lions that she was familiar with but she did know some.

Melbourne hadn’t been as active this year – in fact the Gryffindor had almost been a recluse. It wasn’t due to any specific reason except perhaps how uncomfortable the now thirteen year old girl felt about just about everything. Her hands clasped tightly around a little tin filled with polaroid photographs she had collected and taken throughout the years with her family, some were older, taken from the boxes in her brother’s attic. The photographs of her mother and father were one of her most prized possession, which was why she had insisted that Finn duplicate them for her so she wouldn’t have to fear ever losing them.

Not again. Pushing her braids behind her should the soon-to-be-third year climbed up to the treehouse and took a seat. She could see everything from up in those trees, it was like her own little private tower that just about everyone else knew about and used...she remembered hearing that it was where Mika had told Kaiden she liked him too...where they had started dating...that made it more special to her because she absolutely adored Kaiden.

Carl was sitting at a swing in the playground, relaxing and watching other people. It was almost the end of the school year and he was excited for the holiday to begin. Just like last year though, there were people he was going to miss. His eyes soon found an all too familiar Gryffindor in the distance, climbing up to the Treehouse. A grin appeared on his face as he got up from the swing and walked over.

The thirteen-year-old climbed up the ladder leading to the house. He peered in from the entrance aaand saw Mel! She looked pretty when her hair was in braids like that. "Do you mind if I join you?" He said, smiling.

The photograph in her hands fluttered in the breeze as she sat there. Her smile was beautiful, that was the one thing she would have really loved to have gotten from her mother instead well, she’d gotten her hair…India looked so much more like her that it was almost absolutely insane – really, she was like a clone of her mother even down to the exact shade of her eyes. When she heard a familiar voice the small Gryffindor just grinned.

CARL! She loved seeing him it was too bad they weren’t able to hang out in the common room together at night…really, she would have loved to be able to spend more time with him around school because he was great a true friend. “Hey Pumpkinhead!” She smirkily grinned up at him hopping up as he came closer over.

Standing there for a moment she debated what she was doing before practically bouncing a step closer and hugging him. He deserved all of the hugs…at least that was what she told herself. “Of course you can join me!” she grinned as she took a small step backward…was that overstepping things? Hugging him like that? In the back of her mind the young Gryffindor simply thought ’What would Mika do?’ her sister had always been somewhat of a role model for her even to the point that she had taken some of her hand-me-downs gladly.

“So…do you have any plans for summer?” She asked happily as she practically bounced on the balls of her feet “I just got a letter from my sister…apparently we’re moving in with my brother? Oh…and she’s adopting her boyfriends kid…I’m going to have a sort-of-little-brother" she admitted excitedly as that was well big news…barely taking a breath she continued on plowing into her next thought without even really giving Carl the time to respond to anything what so ever "we should make plans this summer! Maybe meet in Diagon Alley with everyone or just us or anyone really and get ice cream or things at Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes?” She offered with a grin. “I’m thinking of getting a pygmypuff for next term and just carrying it around with me to like every single class ever…or a hedgehog? Or a ferret…I might even ask if I can bring a Jarvey with me” okay she was nervous but hopefully it just came off as excitement?

As he looked around the Treehouse, Carl noticed a little tin of photographs clasped in Mel's hands. He wondered what or who they were of, but focused on his fellow Second Year as she called him by his amusing nickname. "Pumpkinhead, huh?" He grinned and walked over.

The boy looked at Mel for a moment, thinking of something to say. Then she was hugging him! He had hugged her before, but this time, it felt ... different? Ignoring the strange feeling he had, he hugged her back. It had been a while since he had seen his good friend.

However, Carl was glad when she changed the topic. He listened to her summer plans with a grin - she seemed so happy that she was moving in with her brother and that her sister was adopting her boyfriend's child. These were things he could not imagine happening to him, seeing as the only family members he had were his aunt and uncle. Before he could respond though, she continued talking about making plans for the summer and he laughed. "Yeah, ice cream and WWW shopping sound fun! And we could go try out candies at Sugarplum's. My aunt and uncle said we are travelling to somewhere this summer, but I will still write to you when I'm away. You have to tell me all about the moving and the little brother and the pet!" He said when she paused. Was it just him or did she seem a bit nervous? Nah, she was probably just excited for the summer.

He moved to the middle of the Treehouse and took a seat, indicating that Mel should do so as well. It was really comfy here! "So ... what are these? Can I take a look?" He asked, pointing at the photographs.

She didn’t get it – why was she nervous? She had hugged him before but this was awkward right? Ignoring the awkward the Gryffindor girl just grinned at her friend and moved over to sit down on the tree house floor with him. “Yes Pumpkinhead…I still think that was the most hilarious duel ever” Mel grinned at him and glanced over to her friend when he said he was traveling over summer…oh…he wasn’t going to be around well, she just hoped that he had fun on his trip.

“When is your trip? B-because we could always stock up on candies before you go on your trip?” Mel grinned over to him because really that would be the best right? Having candies to bring on a vacation sounded like a fun thing. “…if you see anything really funny will you take a picture of it for me?” Mel asked with a bright-eyed grin – humor that was basically what she lived for. “Oh…and I’ll do the same if I find anything funny to show you! Though I probably won’t because the most entertaining thing I’m doing is going to my sister’s wedding…and well obviously being Ace’s neighbor again” she grinned at that idea she had really missed being able to climb through the woods to his house. Mel’s fingers pressed into the little tin as she heard Carl asking if he could look.

Right…the tin, her memories. “Oh…this? Its” she chewed her lip a bit before moving the little tin closer to him “yeah of course you can” she smiled and bit her lip “I don’t really look like any of them at all…that’s an old photo of my sister India she still looks sort of like that but…older?” She shrugged as she pointed at the picture that must have been taken after a trip to the beach. “I can point out who everyone is if you want?...though I think I wrote the names on the back of the photographs?” She shrugged her shoulder and grinned at her friend even though she was indeed nervous now, she didn’t typically share her sentimental side with just everyone. “I miss them…you know? Its hard sometimes hearing everyone talk about what they are doing with their parents…” she paused for a moment before raising one of her hands to the small amethyst necklace she had been wearing and began twirling it in her fingers. “My family says I’ve got my mum’s hair and my dad’s eyes?” She admitted with a small smile, “India looks just like her though…I used to be jealous of her for that” she admitted with a small almost humorless laugh.

She didn't really know why she was sharing all of this, but still deep down she did. She knew that Carl understood it...right? Missing family was hard to do especially when you couldn't just go somewhere to see them.

Carl laughed and leaned against the Treehouse wall. "I can't deny that. None of my other duel opponents has given me a pumpkin head." Talking about funny things definitely made the situation less awkward.

"It's at the end of July, so yeah! We can do that before I leave." The Hufflepuff said, grinning. Sweets were a must on any trip and it would be great to have Wizarding ones to eat. "Sure, but I'm afraid I won't be able to make the photographs move for you." Muggle camera and all. "Oh, congratulations to your sister and her boyfriend! And I hope you have lots of fun with Tenacius." He knew that the Gryffindor boy was a really fun person to be around.

He observed her reaction, thinking maybe the photographs were too personal for him to look at. When Mel did say that he could do so, Carl smiled and leaned in to see. Oh, it was of her family ... He had always been curious about her family members, so he nodded as she talked about her sister India. "Yeah I would love that, can you tell me who everyone is?" He asked.

I miss them… you know? The thirteen-year-old felt a wave a sadness come over him. He understood almost everything she was feeling. Whenever he missed his parents, whenever he needed them to be with him, they were not there. "Yeah, I know ... it can be a bit hard sometimes. I miss my parents too. But we're brave, right?" He took the girl's hand, the one not touching her necklace, and squeezed it gently. "Your parents are beautiful. I heard I have my dad's hair and my mom's eyes." He smiled, his eyes landing on the picture of her parents.

Melbourne gave Carl a small grin when he said that no one had given him a pumpkin head save for her. “Well, that’s good…I’m the memorable one then” she grinned, “and you know I just had to do it…the spell seemed to funny.” She admitted with a grin.

“Oh awesome! Of course we will!” Mel grinned over to him crinkling her nose a bit as she scrunched her face at the mention of moving photographs. “You don’t have to have the be moving…I just really like adventures” she chuckled. “Oh thank you I’ll tell her you said so…” and when he said to have lots of fun with Tenacius she nodded over to him. “Of course, we always have the weirdest adventures – one time we broke a glass table at his house?” She admitted with a laugh.

“We were playing like we were super heroes,” she admitted with a laugh before nodding at Carl’s question. “Of course I will” she nodded and gave Carl a small nod as he mentioned that it could be hard. She understood, all too well and would always understand and be there for him if he needed support. “We’re the bravest” she smiled over to him and squeezed his hand back as she sat there, his hand was almost grounding really as if it helped her face missing them. “Thank you,” she smiled softly before letting his hand go in order to show him her family. “Alright…easy bit – the guy with the curly hair – he’s Kaiden Yarborough…family but not?” She grinned, “He’s my future brother-in-law and the blonde girl – that is Amelia or…well Mika my sister” she smiled at the pictures. “Alright…the guys are easiest because the other two are my brothers’ Finnlay and Phil they are twins actually….Phil’s the one with the glasses” she added with chuckle.

“The really close of up face – that was a photograph of my sister India?” She admitted with a small smile. “She’s tough as nails and I’m completely convinced that her boyfriends is a dangerous creature…well, a werewolf actually – I never saw him around near the full moon and India had a lot of wolfsbane potion ingredients in the cupboards” she admitted with a small laugh…”if he is I want to ask about it – what its like? That would be kind of cool knowing first hand accounts on werewolfism?” she took a deep breath before continuing on. “You know you should come and meet them sometime they’re more interesting in person…” she laughed “apparently when they were our age Kaiden licked people’s faces…well, Mika’s but still its pretty interesting…oh he’s the reason I think hufflepuffs are good huggers.” She grinned.

Carl grinned back at the memory of the duel. "Yeah, it was the most memorable duel I've had!" He said. His other duels were decent too, but none of them were as funny as the one he had with Mel.

The Badger smiled as she said the photographs did not have to be moving. Of course, it was the story within them that mattered. "Right, I will try to capture the funny moments as best as I can." And what? She and Tenacius once broke a glass table? "That sounds fun! I mean playing like superheros, not breaking the table." He laughed.

As he held her hand, Carl looked at the Gryffindor and felt some of his sadness dissipate. He knew that she would be there for him if he needed support. He nodded with a smile as she let go of his hand. Time to learn more about the family!

Kaiden, Mika, Finnlay and Phil, India and - a werewolf? "It would definitely be cool to ask him about being a werewolf, if he is one." He did not have any bad feelings about werewolves like some people did, but thought they were somewhat cool. They probably did not like the transformation, though. "Oh I would love to meet them!" He agreed, but decided to not be pushy about it. "So, they began dating when they were at Hogwarts?" He asked, referring to Kaiden and Mika. He couldn't imagine licking people's faces, but was glad that the almost brother-in-law made Mel think Hufflepuffs were good huggers. Y'know, maybe it really was true!

Melbourne would always remember that duel as being her favorite. The first ever duel she had been in and with such a close friend – it was great. “Thank you in advance” Mel grinned over to him. “If you cant get pictures just tell me about the moments sometime? I’m sure they’ll be good for a laugh.” Laughing was the best and it would just be nice to see him looking happy. To watch as the laughter lit up his features and made his eyes crinkle happily. “It was a lot of fun” Mel grinned, “until we had to hide…house elves are really good finders – his dad has them you know? Because they work at the Bed & Breakfast” Mel admitted with a small laugh…oh he was laughing. Sigh. “y’know you have the happiest smile when you laugh. I like it…laughing is the best” don’t be an awkwizard she told her self.

“Yeah I think it will be cool…well, it should be easy to tell…my sister’s getting married in August? The day before the fullmoon” she grinned to herself. “He might be all rawr-rawr vicious then and grumpy…agitated heck if he doesn’t go may actually BE a werewolf.” Mel smirked at her reasoning and immediately smiled when she heard Carl’s answer.

He’d want to meet her family. That was awesome. “Oh yay! I’m glad…you should come meet the crups sometime too! We can like make a day of it have adventures and play with puppies?” She offered with a small smile on her face…oh right Kaiden and Mika…that question, she just nodded in response before opening her mouth to speak. She was going to have to say something about that. “Actually…um…they started dating here in the tree house actually…its cool though, I get it. Why people choose this place to have deep conversations” she looked around at the tree house and smiled. “They’re getting married in one you know…a tree house.” It was their thing….”actually we still have a giant pillow fort at the house from back in those days – I kind of want to make one in the tree house and just have a cozy place to read sometime?” She grinned…or well it didn’t have to be used for reading really it could have been used for absolutely anything.

“I don’t get it really…you know – why he licked her. Kaiden’s weird but I guess that’s why I like him?...and he makes Mika happy.” She said with little nod as she glanced over to her friend and smiled, “I was planning on doing something funny…well an experiment this summer in Diagon Alley – wearing one of those ‘free hugs’ shirts and see how many hugs I can get.” She admitted. She was a hugger it was something that couldn’t be disputed she liked hugs...Carl's hugs were especially nice.

He would definitely get lots of pictures from his travel! Taking photographs was an amazing way of recording a moment. "You're welcome. It would be cool to share funny things we saw over the summer." Another cool thing? Listening to how people who grew up in Wizarding families. And Carl was not disappointed when he heard that Mel and Tenacius had to hide from House Elves after breaking the glass table, which was pretty awesome despite the circumstance. He laughed as he said, "I guess the House Elves were not very happy with you guys. Tell me about other funny things that happened!" Oh, he had the happiest smile? He grinned broadly at her. "Thank you ... you have a beautiful smile too, has anybody told you that? It really lights up your face." Really, she was pretty both smiling and not. He felt himself redden a bit and turned his face to the photograph of curly haired Kaiden, not meeting her eyes.

Ohhh, the day before the full moon. "Ha, that makes sense! You've got to tell me whether or not he turns up!" The Hufflepuff thought it would be cool if Mel personally knew a werewolf. There probably were not many people who did!

Carl smiled. "Your family has crups? That's cool, all I have is an owl who does not like me ... oh yeah, I would love that!" Going over to meet her family and her puppies, he could imagine how much fun they would have. He looked around at the Treehouse, amazed that it was such a meaningful place for Mika and Kaiden. Nodding, he understood why people liked it here - it was like a fort that provided a good chance for them to relax and have deep conversations, as the Gryffindor said. "That's really romantic." He commented as she said the couple was getting married in a Treehouse. He was not sure of the exact definition of being romantic, but this was surely an example. "You know, a pillow fort would also be good for hiding snacks, or comic books, or ... weapons." She collected weapons, right? Biiig grin.

He nodded; Kaiden did sound like a nice person, even though he had never met him in person. An experiment? He smiled at Mel. "I bet you would get a lot of hugs. I could help you conduct the experiment too, if you want." He wouldn't mind wearing a 'free hugs' shirt and giving out hugs. Then they would know how many people in the Wizarding World liked being hugged.

itsjustjesse 08-01-2016 03:23 AM

Mel nodded over to Carl as he commented about sharing funny things, “very fun…and funny hopefully” she grinned over to him when he asked if the house elves weren’t happy with them. “Not in the least – but they tried to tell me he wasn’t there sometimes and I’d just find him and we’d have adventures…I’ve always been nice to them.” She admitted with a grin.

“I used to actually collect weapons and things – still do…but I’d made cache’s at his place and well…the house elves didn’t like finding them.” She admitted with a shrug of her shoulder. Oh…god…beautiful? It was beautiful? Raising her hand she moved to brush her braids back over her shoulders. Oh dear merlin she was nervous.

Taking in a deep breath as quietly as she could the Gryffindor simply blew out the held in air. Her already flushed cheeks puffing out as she exhaled trying to calm her nerves. “Oh. I will tell you” she nodded still looking down at the floor of the treehouse and not over at the boy next to her.

“My brother raises them…” she nodded and glanced over to him giving him a sheepish smile. “My owl hates me…he gave me this” she pointed to a scratch on her arm, “he didn’t like that I asked him to send a letter to my sister….” She chuckled and brushed the little scar with her finger. Mel’s face reddened again as he commented about the romantic nature of her sister’s wedding. “mmm it is, it really is.” Why was this happening? Her face didn’t need to be all hot and weird it wasn’t something she was used to at all. Moving her hand she poked her cheek with her hand and groaned, “its hot in here” she practically whispered while pressing her hand into her cheek. Maybe that would hide the blush? Maybe. Hopefully. “Yes! Pillow forts would be great for hiding weapons and things…I’d rather have books and food in a fort though” she admitted with a laugh.

“You’d do that with me?” She grinned over to him gosh she was just happy to have ever met him. Carl was the best. Taking another calming breath she glanced over at Carl and then back at the ground. “Thank you…for uh…saying my smile was beautiful” as she spoke she pulled her knees closer to her wrapping her arms around them. “I…no…no one told me that” she muttered tucking her face against knees. "Thanks for that." She grinned over to him before reaching over and ruffling his hair. "Last term I was convinced your hair would feel all icy...because its as silvery as Daenerys Targaryen's..." she paused before smirkily looking over to him, "so...are you a Targaryen?" She had to kill the awkward somehow and bringing up one of her favorite book series was so much safer than accidentally saying she I think you have a nice face. Which she did. Because he did....wait did she say it aloud? She didn't even know.

Carl nodded with a grin. He found it funny that the House Elves tried to tell her Tenacius was not at home sometimes. "Maybe they were tired of finding the house messy every time you had an adventure. I'm glad you have been nice to them though!" He said. Although he did not see House Elves often, he tried to be kind to them whenever he did too.

The Second Year laughed at the story of the House Elves discovering Mel's weapon collection. "Wow, what kind of weapons did you have there?" He still thought it was cool that she collected weapons.

When he finally looked up after telling her that she had a beautiful smile, Carl was surprised to see that her cheeks were flushed. He really should not have said that... it must have made her feel awkward.

At the mention of her brother, the Badger's eyes immediately found the photographs of the twins Finnlay and Phil. It seemed that he had learned their names and faces quickly enough! He smiled, but the smile faded a bit as he saw the scratch on Mel's arm. "That's awful. The only thing my owl does well is delivering letters, he won't listen to me when I talk to him or anything." He admitted. Then he heard her whisper something about it being hot in here. "Yeah, it is a little hot." Hotter than it was when he first entered, anyway. He looked around (unnecessarily) for the source of the heat and did not see the brunette trying to hide her blush. He grinned as she said next that she would rather have books and food in a pillow fort. Honestly, he was not sure how pillow forts were used, but hiding books and snacks sounded right.

"Yep! I think it would be really fun." Carl replied. He had a feeling that this summer would be more interesting that his last, when he spent most of his time in the Muggle World. He looked at the girl, she was cute being all awkward and nervous like that. When she thanked him, he smiled at her. "You're welcome." Oh and hair ruffling! He liked that she still said his hair was icy. "Oh yes, I am a Targaryen. Carl Targaryen." He laughed. Who knew, maybe he was related to Daenerys or something. Wait, did he hear that right? She thought he had a nice face? He could have been imagining it. "Thanks. Do you think we should go back to the castle now? It's getting late..." And hot. Definitely.

Grinning she nodded at Carl’s absolutely perfectly correct allegation that the house elves didn’t like her adventures. “Yeah I think its safe to say that that is the case” Mel chuckled and turned to face him for a moment. “oh…mainly silly things – a child’s bow and arrow…I was convinced that I was going to be in the hunger games as a kid” she sighed. “Note-to-future-self don’t let baby kids read The Hunger Games without explaining that it doesn’t really happen” she laughed and grinned over to him.

She didn’t know that he had looked over at her, the Gryffindor had missed seeing the surprised look that her friend had given her. She did however see the fading smile at the owl’s markings. “I’m got a new Owl for Christmas and I’m giving mine back to my sister India – he liked her more than me” she shrugged her shoulder and couldn’t help but smile when he said his owl didn’t like delivering things.

“Ah…so its not me then…g-good” she stammered out as he had commented on it also being hot in there…but it wasn’t hot, not really, it was just the average Scottish summer weather…so….did it being hot to him mean something? “Oh my gosh I’m going to call you that from now on…you know that.” She beamed. “it’s on my list of nicknames to call Carl – pumpkinhead is still my favorite” she admitted with a grin and nodded when he asked about leaving for the castle. “Its…thank you Carl for looking at the photographs with me” Mel smiled over to the hufflepuff boy. “…” she opened her mouth to speak and stopped herself before simply leaning over and hugging him. “Thanks…y’know for being my friend and for everything” she slowly retracted her arm from his shoulder before tucking the photographs away and tucking her braid back over her shoulder.

She didn’t know what to do really; she just knew that she was going to miss being around him all summer. “I’m glad…you know that we met and that I’ve got you as well…as a friend” she paused and resumed cleaning up before giving him another slightly awkward pat on the head. Say it she thought to herself. “I like you…the way you are y’know that – don’t ever change for anyone.” Why had she said that? WHY WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY? She was going to well go find a rock to hide under…maybe I the Gryffindor common room. “I’ll uh…see you around Carl and you are the best…just uh remember that…kbye” the words were being spoken as she started walking backwards out of the room because dear merlin what had she done? She’d never be able to face him again or the school or anyone…maybe she’d have to transfer schools? That’d be a smart idea. Never deal with that whole load of awkward she had just unloaded without even thinking no no no…she had been thinking that was the problem she just hadn’t been thinking clearly at all. Maybe she hadn’t been thinking…maybe it sounded different out loud then it did in her head? She was going to awkward out now...yep. Awkward-out.

He grinned when Mel said she kept a bow and arrow because she thought she was going to be in the Hunger Games. That was something children in the Muggle and Wizarding Worlds had in common. "I thought so too! Receiving my Hogwarts letter was more exciting though." Carl said. And yes. Don't let kids get their hopes high on fictional things. He agreed with that too.

Oh, so Mel is getting a new owl! And the old one is going back to sister India. "So I guess that's good for both of you." The boy smiled. The school had many owls too, so she could send letters using them if all else failed.

Targaryen was so going to be his new nickname. He liked it. "Alright! I have a list of nicknames for you too." Not really, of course. The only name he called her by was Mel. Maybe he should add Melon to the list? That was a cute nickname too! "No problem... I liked looking at the photographs of your family too. Thanks for being my friend." He said that almost the same time she did and smiled as he hugged her back.

Helping her gather the pictures back into the tin, Carl felt a pat on his head. He was going to miss the hair ruffles in the summer, he just knew it. As he stood up straight, he heard her say that she liked him the way he was. That meant a lot to him, probably more than she realized. "Thank you. Mel... " He was not sure of what he wanted to say, but knew he should tell her something meaningful. But she was hurrying out of the room before he had a chance to say anything. "Yep bye..." He murmured.

He was going to listen to Mel and not change for anyone. She liked him the way he was. And he really really liked her. Pushing his hair back, he sighed and left the Treehouse.

Amused indeed. VERY Amused. But to be fair, Dora would have been amused whether she knew the other girl or not. HEHEHE.

But as it were, she did try to compose herself and like a normal human being. For a moment. "Cool. Thanks." It was really nice of her to shake it off like that. Some people were too uptight sometimes, so she was always pleased to meet some chill people.

"Yes, I am in Gryffindor," she said with a hint of misery in her tone. Some days she wished she hadn't been placed there. Maybe she would have been better off in Slytherin. UGH. If only she could go back to the sorting and try again. "Do you like Hufflepuff?" Same went for her, really. She didn't know a lot of Puffs, so she was always curious if other houses liked their own.
