Aaww this firstie was cute. Her first time meeting Bartholomew was special indeed. Hady certainly remembered the first time she was down here and he appeared. Smiling she nodded her head and erased the white board before writing down a quick reply to her. Being as she had to write down her replies she was able to catch most of the girls conversation with the Giant Squid. She wanted to go into the lake and swim around, see what was underneath? Not to hard really but surely she shouldn't go to deep until she learned some stronger charms just in case however she would tell her something that could help. Quote:
A small laugh was given in reply. She had grown although not to much really. The photo being a rare one was what made it all the more special. Sure it was blurry and mostly water but she knew what it was and so did Bartholomew. He knew about this sort of training?! Nice! She nodded her head going about writing down some more. Quote:

Miranda wanted to learn everything she could.... But.. This did sound relatively risky.... I mean if she didn't do it right she could drown... She wasn't bad swimmer but she wasn't the best either.... the thought kind of scared her.. |
woop woop woop sorry for the delay #lame SPOILER!!: PDA ickles >:D Walking around his cloud a bit more, testing and pushing down on it here and there to double and triple check its stability, the Astronomy professor paused to grin at the Gryffindor. "Thank you, Mr. Salander," he saluted, noting but otherwise evoking no reaction to Miss Denaker's return stink eye. "Thought I've give something a bit of a whirl I've been wanted to try for..." He paused for a moment, deciding that mentioning the word decades may not be the best method of persuasion at the moment. "...a while now. Bit of inspiration drawn from muggle video games." The professor offered a cursory glance over his shoulder. What better way than to prevent further displays of public affection and escalation of said affections? Offer up a distraction, of course! "Fancy joining?" he asked, adjusting the cloud a bit and forming a sort of handle with the fluff. |

Wiping the board clean she wrote down another message showing it to Miranda. Quote:

oh you know he cant resist this, sorry Hads xD Quote:
Tenacius looked at Haddie, blue green eyes sparkling with excitement and said "It looks like Star Man is gonna go cloud riding. I want to go cloud riding." Because how often can that happen? Unless he's turned cherubic with a harp in tow, probably never. Is she coming along? Tenacius didn’t want to pressure her to do anything. But he also didn’t want to miss his chance at cruising on a CLOUD. So off he goes, towards the Astronomy Professor, guitar and silver cruiser left behind on the grassy knoll. "How does it work? How do you steer? I mean does it even move? How....." oh now the Claw side asserts itself. Yes he wants to share a ride with Captain Planet, but he also wants to see if its something he can pull off himself. |
Pet Space Rock, Extra credit. Azura was carrying Lunar down to the lake and she smiled as she sat down on a rock and put Lunar on her lap in order for it to see the lake.. "And this Lunar, is my most favorite spot in all of Hogwarts.. The Great Lake.. Look how beautiful it is Lunar. I love coming here to think.. " She said with a warm smile as she looked out on the sparkling water, the sun was making a shimmering path on the surface of the ripping liquid and the teen couldn't help but smile. "Just listen to the sound of the water lapping up against the shore, isn't it soothing? I could just close my eyes and let that sound wash over me everyday." She said with a warm smile as she gently petted her rock as they both looked out on the water together.. "I'll tell you a secret though Lunar, even though I adore coming here, I can't swim, and I'm scared of open water." She said as she motioned to the Lake that sat in front of them. "Weird isn't it? This is my favorite place to come, and yet I'm scared to death of it." She bit her lip a little and pushed some of her stray hair that had escaped from her ponytail at the winds urging behind her ears. "Maybe it's because.. I'm just sitting here looking at it, and I know the water won't suddenly just wash over me and pull me in.. Maybe cause even though it's so beautiful and soothing, I can come here, despite what dangers lurk underneath." She titled her head a little.. "I don't know what it is.. but.. Let's keep that between us Lunar.. not many people are aware of this fact." She said as she gently petted Lunar.. "I can see why Professor Flamsteed has Pebbles, you are really great to talk too." She said with a warm smile as she petted Lunar again. |
Pet Rock Extra Credit Harriet loved the lake. She loved the grounds. She really was an outdoors person. She loved nothing more than to be outside, and in the fresh air. Whilst she wasn't overly sporty, she knew that she wanted to spend lots of time outside. That was why she was coming down to the lake today, she wanted to show her pet rock what was so amazing about the grounds, and the lake was her favourite, so she totally needed to go down here "I love the grounds so much Zoom!" Harriet murmured with a big smile. "They are the best part of the castle I feel. We're going down to the lake today. It's my favorite place!" And it was summer too, so she knew it was going to be quite warm. When she got down to the lake she sat down near the waters edge, and placed Zoom down onto the floor. "It's really pretty!" She murmured, motioning around to the lake. "I like to come down here and draw, and paint. It's really inspiring" And she'd painted the lake a few times actually. Smiling, she lay down, and just enjoyed the lake with her pet rock. What better what to spend the afternoon. |
Pet Space Rock Extra Credit Post 3 The lake was one of Penelope's favorite spots for walking her pet rocks, and she liked to think they they enjoyed the walks along the shore of the lake as much as she did. With Luna on the purple leash, Aquila on the Ravenclaw blue leash, and Petra securely fastened to a length of string, Penelope had set out for her routine morning pet rock walk by the lake. It was nice and sunny out, perfect weather for walking. "This is the lake. There are lots of magical creatures that live in it, including a giant squid." That was for Petra, who didn't know about everything at Hogwarts yet. With help from Luna and Aquila, Petra was becoming accustomed to life as a pet rock on Earth at Hogwarts. There were new things to discover and learn about all the time. "Petra, I found you near here on the ground." Penelope pointed to a patch of grass nearby, indicating where she had discovered the meteorite. That had been a fun astronomy lesson. |
Pet Space Rock Extra Credit - Post 7 A walk with Rocky was in order and there was no better place for them to head over to than the lake. There were a few reasons for this: it was one of Esme's favourite parts of the castle if not her favourite, they might be able to coax the giant squid out of the water, and this was where she had found her little pet. Smiling, she headed down to the lake while holding Rocky so that he could see just how beautiful their surroundings were. "I know that you are going to love it here as much as I do." Most people loved the lake because it was so pretty and serene. She could spend hours staring out at the water or skipping rocks. It was a wonderful place to go when her head needed clearing. That wasn't why she was here today though. Nope, she was here to give a tour and then have some peaceful time with her pet. First things first she headed over to their spot where she had found him. "This is where you became mine," she said as she stood in the exact location. "I found you and Professor Flamsteed said that I could keep you." Well, everyone could keep their rocks but that wasn't relevant to them. Moving on, she led him closer to the water. Taking off her shoes she waded in until the water almost touched her skirt. "This is the lake where certain creatures live. There are mermaids and a giant squid among other things. The squid sometimes comes up to the shore and talks to people but I am not sure how to get his attention." Esme sighed because she wanted to talk to him before she graduated even if it was just for a moment. Maybe one day it would happen since she had a few more years left at Hogwarts. Picking up some small rocks, she skipped them across the water. They were earth rocks so she wasn't doing anything bad to Rocky's family. That would be mean. She made her way over to a large rock to perch on and lay across it with Rocky beside her. It was time for them to relax in the sun and maybe have a nap. |
4 The rock was gripped tightly in Daxton's fist - tight enough that his knuckles had whitened - as he strode purposefully towards the lake. Though he had calmed down significantly since that day, since he had decided not to care, that he had never cared, he still found himself seething with rage for what might, to most, seem like no reason at all. Today, though, other than the white knuckles, the death grip on the rock, and the very obvious tightly clenched jaw, Daxton appeared almost as impassive as he usually was. Almost as though he was simply going about his daily business in a slightly more tense manner than usual. It took longer than he had expected to reach the lake. Daxton did not come here often; the last time he went anywhere near the water had been a year earlier, with Char. He could not swim, he disliked the water, and so there was usually no reason for him to visit this part of the grounds. It felt like it took hours for him to drag his exhausted self to the water's edge. Once there, Daxton allowed himself only a moment to look out over the serene surface of the water. He resented it. How cool and calm it was, how little he could relate to or appreciate such a tranquil scene. Especially not now. Especially now that everything was just... the way it was. Daxton squeezed the rock tighter still, before winding up his arm behind him. A second later, he had launched the ridiculous rock, still decorated to look exactly like the original Pebbles, through the air, threw it so hard he felt a studden surge of pain in his shoulder. Before the rock even hit the surface of the water, Daxton had turned away again, and started walking right back towards the castle. There. He was done with that stupid rock, and everything associated with it. Done with the rock. Done with Airey Flamsteed. Done. |
2; Now that his rock was officially a pet... it had to meet Jaemin's other pet. It was a nice day outside, so the small teen headed aaaaaall the way back downstairs and right out the doors, into the warmth of spring. It was nice that it was so warm... it made it more comfortable for him to be outside. He carried his little bear-eared rock to a nice grassy patch and settled down into it, placing the rock carefully in front of him as he laid on his stomach. The grass smelled so nice... he closed his eyes for a minute, just basking in the smell, before remembering that he was very definitely supposed to be doing something right at that moment. "Gom... you're not my first pet," he murmured, absently touching one of the pipe cleaner ears. "I have a hedgehog named Sniffler. He's been my pet for a while now. I think you'll like him." It felt weird talking to a rock. Like really weird. But... he talked to plants all the time. So maybe a bit less odd than it could have felt, considering. Jaemin tilted one hip up to have better access to his pocket, reaching into it for the hedgehog that was nestled inside. Sniffler was snuggled up in a little ball, contentedly sleeping before Jaemin very rudely awakened him. The teen gave the hedgehog an apologetic pet as the little thing stared at him owlishly (hedgehoggily?) before being set down in the grass. "Gom, this is Sniffler. Sniffler... this is Gom. You're both my pets now. Okay? So be nice to each other." The hedgehog waddled closer to the strange rock creature, and sniffed at it curiously. As long as Sniffler was polite, they could just... stay out here and enjoy the nice warm sunshine for little while, like a weird fami- "Sniffler NO." The hedgehog had apparently decided that he and Gom would NOT be friends. As soon as Jaemin's attention had begun to wander, the prickly little creature had opened up his mouth and chomped down right on one of Gom's little pipecleaner ears. There was a rather strange moment of panic, during which Jaemin bonked Sniffler right on the nose to make him let go, before he remembered that Gom... really couldn't feel the ear nibbling anyway. Making a face, the small Slytherin pushed himself up to his knees and scooped the hedgehog up, stuffing the small ball of spines back into his pocket rather unceremoniously. Sniffler shifted around, clearly indignant about this, but Jaemin just stuck his tongue out at his pocket before picking up Gom again. "You take a nap, grumpypants," he muttered, very carefully fixing the new little bends in Gom's ear. The googly eyes looked up at him, judging him, and Jaemin sighed. "He'll grow to like you. Don't worry." He spent a bit more time outside, dozing a bit with the rock on his chest while he laid in the grass. Occasionally the small boy would run one finger along the bear ears, feeling for any more little bends from the hedgehog attack, but he was sure the bear rock was just fine. Its googly eyes seemed to indicate it, after all. |
