| | Stone Gargoyle A large stone gargoyle awaits as you approach closer toward the entrance to the headmaster's office. It, even though a mere statue, appears to be closely watching you with every step you take. Or maybe that is just your imagination. Nonetheless, as you examine the intricate etches on the gargoyle, it is clear that it will not be moving any time soon ... unless the password is on the tip of your tongue, of course. Once the password has been said, the gargoyle will leap aside to reveal a spiral stone staircase. Step onto the escalator-like staircase, and you will come face-to-face with a polished oak door adorned with a brass griffin knocker.
Should it happen to be that you are not one of the fortunate few who know the password, you have two options: try speaking with the headmaster another time or patiently wait for him. On either side of the entrance are two chairs for you two sit in, accompanied with end tables that hold various books and magazines for you to flip through to pass the time, if you decide to wait. OOC: Please post in this thread first if you wish to enter the office. Remember that only Hogwarts Staff will know the password to get past the gargoyle. Students should not be entering without being accompanied by Sahnoun or a professor, unless he/she is lucky enough to have been given the password ahead of time.

| Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right. Distracted by countless distractions, it took Torrance way to long to finally get himself down to just outside the headmaster's Office. He wasn't really sure what he would do once the Man appeared, if he appeared at all. All he really wanted to do was listen to the guy talk. He would happily find any topic to discuss with him if that was his entire motivation for coming down here.
If only he had somehow conned the password off of Uncle Professor Julien. He could wait for him in the Office.
Alas...this will do. He sat on one of the two chairs then also picked up a magazine. It didn't matter what it was. He just flipped through it.
Mere minutes began to feel like hours! Torrance hopped up of the chair and began to pace around the hallway entrance to the office. He stopped suddenly and then just began to stare at the Stone Gargoyle...who stared back at him...so he stared back even harder. Which then stared back even harder at him! He closed in on the gargoyle until his fleshly nose pressed up against the stone cold nose of the statue. |

He closed in on the gargoyle until his fleshly nose pressed up against the stone cold nose of the statue. He had been exploring the castle in his serval form. Those who remembered his grand entrance at the feast didn't bat an eye at the sight of an African cat roaming about; it had almost become second nature to them. However, there were those who had given him puzzling looks. They had either missed his transformation back at the start-of-term feast or the fact that the headmaster was an Animagus had been long forgotten. Sahnoun simply waved his tail at them and meowed cheerfully as he slipped onto the second floor, his destination being his humble abode.
After turning the corner of one of the corridors, the serval-man was quite surprised to see that a student was waiting outside the entrance to his office. Correction: impatiently waiting. The boy, which Sahnoun recognized as Julien's nephew, was pacing. The serval's eyes darted back and forth, his tail swayed in amusement as he quietly watched the young Gryffindor. How long was the boy going to keep this up?
The serval's head tilted to the side, confused, as the boy made his next movement. Was it normal at Hogwarts for students to be pressing their faces up against that of the gargoyle? It certainly wasn't a sight one would find at Uagadou. Silently, the headmaster shifted from his serval form back to his tall, slender self. A smile was on his face as coughed and then said, "I don't believe your stare-down technique will be getting da gargoyle to move any time soon, Mr. Spades." |

| Dalliesa | Ab-Bot | Hogwarts Trojan War | Genny was counting on her professors to send her to the headmaster's office at one point during the year but it did not happen. She missed the chance of going there last year because she could not fit that into her schedule of exploring Hogwarts. This year, she decided to make an exception to the headmaster's office because it was her dad's office for SO long. She wanted to see where all those stories he told her took place, ignorant of the fact that this particular office changed almost radically with every headmaster/mistress that followed.
"Oh! Gargoyle!" She exclaimed as soon as she made it to the office's super secret gate (as she'd like to call it). "Hiiii..... do you talk?" She knocked on the gargoyle's face. "I don't know the password." Maybe the headmaster would sense her presence and allow her in. Or the gargoyle would strike a deal with her and let her in! |

The gargoyle, as to be expected, did not budge a single inch when the Gryffindor knocked on its face. If anything, it just made it want to stay put even more. However, after a few minutes had passed by, the gargoyle stepped aside to reveal the spiral staircase that led up to Sahnoun's office. "Come on up, Miss Tate," the headmaster's voice sounded. She would soon discover that he had heard every word she said to the gargoyle, for his door had been left ajar. |

When the headmaster's voice reached her ears, Genny realized it did not actually work. The headmaster sensed her presence. There must be a magic that told him what was going on here at every minute of every day.
Amazed by this conjecture, the second year made her way up the spiral staircase with an excited grin on her face. Her dad walked on those stones and touched those walls, eeeee! Her mum, too, but her dad! |

| *flails* YesJess! | Captain Goggles | Mama Badger | Eva's Soul Sister | An OG™ | It's all in the Numbers Running up to the second floor, what Skylar had NOT expected was that the Headmaster's office would be so password-protected. She halted at reaching the stone gargoyles and frowned. Now what!? There was a hag, potentially eating two students - or more - in the forest and she had no way to contact the headmaster. "Open gargoyle! Please!!" Sky said anxiously, rocking on her heels a few times.
Biting her lip, she sighed, glancing at the end tables with books and magazines. She didn't want to read!!! Student lives were at stake!! "I don't know the password!!! Students were taken!!!" She was desperate here! Maybe, just maybe, he could hear through and hear her desperation?!

There was only one person in this school that it took demands from. Everyone else needed the password if they wished to enter the headmaster's office.
However, as soon as the young Slytherin uttered that students were taken, the gargoyle immediately stepped aside. Before the girl even had the opportunity to run up the stairs and pound on the oak door at the top, the tall African man urgently appeared, worry planted all over his face.
Sahnoun's voice remained calm, in spite of everything. "Who was taken, Miss Diggory? Where were dey taken? Who took dem?" |

For a moment Skylar had wondered if the headmaster's office was soundproof or maybe he just wasn't in there, but shortly after she uttered about students being taken the tall dark headmaster emerged and spoke ever so calmly. How could he remain so calm was beyond her, but Sky guessed it was years of practice. "A Ravenclaw girl ... Kitty, I think? And a Hufflepuff boy ... I'm not really sure of his name ... But it was an ugly woman ... A hag.. Dragged them off into the forest." And like others followed but she went this way because it was best to warn the head of the school rather than simply be underfoot ..
