The long staff table stretches across the front of the Great Hall, waiting for its esteemed occupants. There will be some new faces, but plenty of familiar ones to greet you as well.
Feel free to drop by to greet a professor (or six), but remember to scurry back to your seat in time for the food. |

His head jerk back at Uncle Julien and his eyes fixed on the Intimidatingly Bald Man. "Train was fine. I sat in the Middle waiting to see if Benton came by but I didn't see him."
Wait...was HE being ignored. He glared at the Charms Professor then crossed his Arms. The young Lion was gonna get him good. "It's Rude when you don't make eye contact during conversation Uncle."
Haha YEAH! He was the Man of the Family now!
Now he get's to sit in Uncle Julien's Study at home and read all his boring books and draw doodles on all of his important papers and maybe he could grade Homework now too. His eyes moved over to the Ravenclaw Table and thought how could totally be the better student between him and Kate Moss now. THE not-really there POWER WAS SURGING THROUGH HIS VEINS! Did his nephew really just get snippy with him? Julien eyed the boy for a few moments, but soon showed a bit of amusement. "I've spent too much time this summer with you. I'm afraid you might have rubbed off on me. The smell of the cookies distracted me." He looked over at the cookies contemplating getting one. "Plus"
Yes there was a plus and he was back to eyeing him with a pointed look, "You were staring yourself, so maybe we both need to watch what we are doing." He had caught him staring at the Headmaster and staring was rude as well. Julien would let it pass though. "I'm sure Benton was busy with other friends. You two spent plenty of time this summer together. He's right at his table now if you were needing to talk to him." Yes he could see Benton near Henry. "Were you up here to say hello or were you hear for a specific reason, because you may want to go back to your house table to finish your meal. It wil be time to head to the dorms soon."

So wait...he made Uncle Julien Revert in Maturity over the Summer?! Sweet...maybe he could continue the trend throughout the Year! A Cool Uncle Julien would make all the other students happy and not scared of him, and this would be all because of Torrance!!
HAHA genius plan Tory, You'll make a Child out of Mr.SeriousFace yet!
He eyed the plate of cookies that the House Elf dropped off at the Staff Table. He considered asking for one, but held back for the time being. "True...He took advantage of my problem while playing games." He Nodded. "Guess I rubbed off on him too." With that he gave a big smile, but then shook his head when Uncle Julien accused him of starring too. No Don't say that in front of the Guy he was starring at! Not cool! "I wasn't Starring..I just got ummmm." Change the Subject! "Can I have one before I head back. Promise I won't bother you til Tomorrow If I can." He pointed at the Cookies. He didn't want to bother at first, but they were a welcome distraction to avoid the Starring discussion his Uncle was accusing him of. |

He pointed toward the Hufflepuff table. There was no way that child could even know how to take advantage of anyone. No, he just didn't believe that. "I would hope Benton's work ethic and study habits would rub off on you a bit more." He stroked his chin a bit. Torrance was very bright, just very distractible. He knew the boy would be a great wizard they just had to pulled it out of him a little differently then the rest. "It was staring but it can slide just for this evening." Even he was impressed by the transformation of the headmaster. He glanced down the table at the man once more. "Sure take one and head back to your seat. I will expect a visit often to keep me updated on your academics this term." Torrance was more a son then a nephew and so he was treated as such.

Tory just kept nodding as his uncle seemed entirely dumbfounded that Benton would take advantage of Tory's Distraction issue, though to be fair to Benton Torrance supposed he could have just concentrated a little harder to stay focused on that dumb tiny Quidditch Table Game. Stupid Game He couldn't win, It wasn't even actual flying. He also starred at his finger pointed at his Cousin over at the Hufflepuff Table. "I'll let it slide, but Pointing is Rude too."
See you've trained him well.
The young Lion bounced on the heels of his feet when Uncle Charms Professor allowed him a cookie. The Bouncing became something of a leap forward as he reached up the Dias at the plate of cookies. He eyed each of the Professor quickly before any of them could protest his grabby hands. He nabbed One cookie then bounced back. He looked over at the Cool Talkin' Headmaster once more and then back to his Uncle. "You got it!" He saluted the man Happily and then bounded his way back to the Gryffindor Table carrying the Cookie in his Mouth. Nomming on it on his way there. |

| The hustle and bustle of the hall as the students and staff began to eat pleased the man. It reminded him very much of the opening feast at Uagadou. After putting a fork-full of food in his mouth each time, Sahnoun couldn't help but look at each of the four tables and then up at the impressive enchanted ceiling. Whoever did that was a genius, and he was certainly going to charm the ceiling at the African school when he returned.
His ceiling-gazing was soon interrupted as a number of the staff addressed him. Had he fooled them by coming the feast in his serval form? The headmaster chuckled, realizing that he should have at least gave them a warning before the feast. "Are you doin' alright down dere, Art'ur?" he asked his Potions Master, concerned that the man almost had a heart attack.
Then the charms professor spoke up. The African man, after taking a quick drink from his goblet, grinned at the compliment he received. "Why, dank you, Julien. I can say dat I just had to take advantage of such an opportunity. At Uagadou, staff and students are always taking animal form, so it is not an uncommon sight as it is here."
Next up was the school librarian. Sahnoun gave the man a wave of his hand. The toast certainly was not a necessity. But he quickly grabbed his goblet anyway and joined the man. "Dank you, Leobald. Dat was very kind of you." He took a sip of his drink and set it down as the librarian continued speaking. The headmaster's eyes brightened at the man's curiosity. "Ugandan English. I was born in Algeria and spent my university days in Egypt, though I have lived in Uganda for most of my life," he explained with a nod of his head, thinking back to his days as a student and his many years of teaching and administrating.
Catching sight of some of the other professors looking at him, the man gave them a warm smile back before returning back to his food. He had just taken a single bite when the house-elf appeared. He quickly swallowed his food and bowed his head. "How doughtful of you, good elf. Dank you very much."
Once the little creature left, Sahnoun finished eating the food on his plate and even helped himself to one of the cookies that had been given to them. Again, he looked out at the students seated at the four tables. He hoped that their bellies were full, for the feast was about to be over soon. |
