If you happen to try one of the doors near the end of the sixth floor corridor, you might just find yourself in a handsome (if not dusty and aged) office of a large size. The faint smell of crystallized pineapple seems to linger in the air of the room, which contains numerous side doors and nooks and crannies... all of which remain firmly locked.
Although the room is devoid of any office-like furniture, or any furniture at all, there is still an impressive, but faded, rug before the large fireplace and long mirror hanging over that to boot. The spare office is still a cool place to hang out, practice some wandwork, or do some light reading. Just don't linger too long; the office's famous owner was only fond of certain guests... and only as long as they didn't ask prying questions.
Okay, was Drapes feeling okay? One minute he was gloating about beating her and how he had AAAALLLLL the power and yet, he wasn't doing anything. He could have taken points off half a dozen times since the Rooster showed up. But...wasn't?
Hadley regarded her nemesis with curiosity, but then decided she didn't care that much, and wasn't gonna question it so...there wasn't much point in her sticking around. Hads only shrugged at Flash Dance and turned back to the Rooster, urging him to move with her glare for a fraction of a second, before deciding the heck with it.
Hads walked through the prefect, slightly. She knocked into him with her shoulder as she pushed her way past him was out in the hall a second later. Rooster would have to physically grab her if he wanted to stop her this time. And he wouldn't. Not in front of Drapes. At least she didn't think he would.
She cast the couple a wave without looking back on her way out.

Hadley Denaker was such a joke, honestly. Did she think he cared about her baby jokes? In fact, he did consider sticking his foot out to trip the Ravenclaw up, but thought better of it. They were in presence of a Professor, and a continuously grumpy one at that. Professor Draper really had was a stick in the mud... It was questionable how people enjoyed his teaching, when Rooney struggled to find a connection with the man. Strangely, it upset him that he didn't have much of a trust with any of his Professors. For a Prefect, that must have been strange. That was probably the reason he found himself alone much of the time.
"Quiet down, Miss Hadley. You're giving me a reason to stick your shoes again." But he stepped aside to let her past. Good riddance, he thought. And as for that Professor of his, Rooney raised a hand to say bye and then sighed. "I won't cry again, Sir." And he wouldn't go around joking that Professor Draper had given Miss Hadley a shove.

He wasn't stupid, like, he had brains upstairs so he wasn't about the forget one of the most important days of the year.
Valentines Day.
Nope. He made for decent boyfriend material at least half of the time, and in an effort to make sure Maggie felt appreciated, he'd put a little something something together for her - obviously. Like, okay... it was a little lame... but he was totally okay with lame, it was the thought that counted.
Set up on the floor of the spare office space, Zeke had a throw-rug and some plush cushions. Scattered in a circle around it were flowers (what kind of flowers he couldn't say, just that they were small, pretty and... well, pink). But MORE impressively, there were candles. This was more than just a single-candle-lit dinner type scenario, like, this was a RING of fire candles type scenario. He'd give her the world of them if he could.
Flopping in the centre of it all like a starfish, he waited for his missus to arrive, guessing she would be fashionably late to keep him on his toes. When didn't she? And it took every ounce of patience he had not to dig into the food he'd gotten the house elves to prepare for them. He didn't know what it was exactly, just that it was guaranteed to be a winner and he didn't doubt that it would be. Food was food, and he was kinda always starving. One hand behind his head, his fingers on his other ran over the buttons of his blue shirt as he waited.

Maggie WAS in fact fashionably late.
As always.
But then again, she also needed a lot more time to like get dressed and do her hair and makeup and everything. So it totally made sense for her to be here later than Zeke was, right? Despite the fact that she'd actually WAITED in her dorm completely ready just so she could be late to this. But like, she wasn't late late or anything. She just had to make sure Zeke had to wait for her JUST long enough for him to miss her. So like...a minute. Or two.
She was here now though.
"...hey." Maggie said softly, actually knocking on the doorframe after stepping through to get his attention. Wow. All of this looked SO pretty. Especially the pink flowers. Those were awesome. And even matched her lipstick. How had he known? And Zeke right there in the middle of it all wasn't so bad to look at either. Just saying. The way her lips curled into a smile definitely suggested how much she liked what he'd done with the place.

How long he'd been waiting, he actually didn't know... but he'd have waited all night if he had to (or he'd have at least waited a while before searching for her). It was her footsteps he'd heard first, the light clicking of her heels, but it was her voice that had him sitting bolt upright, his lips forming a grin.
... "Hey," he returned the greeting, not wasting time with pushing himself up off the floor so he could greet her properly. He stepped over the candles, suddenly wondering if maybe it would have been better to leave a gap there... oh well. "You look gorgeous," he said without hesitation as he leaned in to give her a soft kiss on the corner of her lips, lingering there long enough to whisper "Happy Valentines Day."
Once he'd stood up her smile grew even wider. Seriously, he was the best, did he know? Mhm. Before she got to say so, however, Zeke was giving her a kiss which in turn made her forget all about saying something other than, "Happy Valentine's Day" in return. It truly was a very happy day, wasn't it? Maggie certainly thought so. She subconsciously reached up to lightly touch the necklace she was wearing, the one he'd given her over a year ago for their anniversary.
Yes, very happy day.
"You look very handsome too." She finally said, tugging on his collar a little with a grin on her lips. Maggie then glanced around him at everything he'd prepared. The candles were a very nice touch. As were the flowers.

As a single pringle seventh year, Dima was spending his Valentine's Day studying for NEWTs. And since outside was cold and populated by crazy blondes like Nicky doing handstands and throwing shoes at him, he was heading inside. Spare offices, maybe? Those were quieter than the common room.
Of course, why would empty rooms already be occupied on VALENTINE'S DAY? They wouldn't be. Obviously. So he had no qualms about going right in. And what a pleasant surprise it was to find.... Maggie. And Zeke.
"Er... sorry. Didn't know the room was taken." Awkward. Really awkward. He'd be leaving now.
UNLESS they wanted to invite him to dinner? A double date, perhaps? Maggie and Zeke, Dima and his textbook?
Heh. Hehehe.

So what was the plan then?

Heh. Hehehe.
Though the whole V Day thing was for girls, he had to admit he liked the occasion. Not for the flowers or candles, or teddy bears and all the lovey dovey things in general... but definitely for Maggie's company, AND the heart shaped chocolates that were usually EVERYWHERE at this time.
Nevertheless, tonight would be nice, low-key, but nice. Maybe they could do something better over the summer, California or Italy or something. That'd be better. Doing things at Hogwarts was becoming limiting over time. Benn there, done that.
"Well I do try," he mused, though genuinely pleased that she thought him handsome, "it's all for you." As she should. He was about to suggest they take a seat when all too quickly they were intruded upon.
.... he needed to remember to lock doors. Ugh.
Zeke gave Dima a brief bro-nod, because 1) hi and 2) this was too awkward for words. Yes... the room was taken. Clearly. See? They were there, the two of them, him and Maggie. With flowers. And candles. So... this wasn't an open invitation, which he figured was obvious enough not to be stated. Did Maggie want to let him down easy then? His hazel eyes moved from Dima to the blonde at his side, his fingers interlocking with hers.
A summer vacation DID sound very promising. He should get on that.
Maggie giggled softly at his response, lightly tapping her fingers against his chest. "Well you do it very well." The trying that is. He always looked handsome though, he knew that right? Not just in blue shirts. Although she did like seeing him in blue. It was a very nice color.
You know who else liked blue?
....Dima. Exactly.
Turning to see who had so rudely barged in, her expression softened when she saw Dima. Hi. What was he doing in here? He hadn't come in here on purpose, had he? Nah, of course he hadn't. It wasn't until Zeke interlocked their fingers that she realized just how weird she felt having the two of them in the same room. Uhm. ANYWAY.
Also voice, she apparently had one. "....hey." Hello. The smile on her lips was genuine though. "Happy Valentine's Day." It was the first thing that had come to her mind to be honest.
Dani's Citrus Duck Spawn | Mama Giraffe | Lemon PATch | Pushed the Red Button
The whole set-up was.... wow, and in the few seconds it took them to get their bearings, Dima soaked it all up. Someone had put a lot of effort into this. A bit over the top for his taste, considering the most he had ever given a girl on this holiday was flowers, but he could appreciate the sentiment.
He was also no stranger to body language, and the way Zeke had stiffened a little and immediately reached for Maggie's hand spoke volumes, even if the Gryffindor hadn't said a word. Did that mean Maggie had...?
"Happy Valentine's Day to you, too. Enjoy your dinner." Smiling a bit at Maggie and nodding at Zeke, he slipped out of the room.
And he made sure to lock it from inside first. They were welcome.

He did it very well, so yes, colour him accomplished.
It was true though, he accomplished many things, and on that list he added moments like these where he'd accomplished putting together something... girly, and pretty, for Maggie. The look on Dima's face as he surveyed the room actually gave him pride. Was the dude surprised?
It was him. All him.
And he might have even boasted about it a liiiiiiiittle ittle bit, but there was company, so.
....
Zeke's eyes didn't leave Maggie as she spoke, but soon returned to Dima for his response. He wasn't sure if the Valentine's Day well-wish applied to him too, but he didn't hesitate slipping a "You too," in reply before the Ravenclaw closed the door behind him.
Locked too. Excellent.
But there were more important things... "Where were we?" he asked, pulling Maggie slightly closer to him by the hand. His thumb stroking against her fingers the nail polish on her fingernails. Black, he liked black.
And just as suddenly as he'd come in Dima had left again.
Okay.
Maggie stared at the door for a moment, trying to process this. Although there really was nothing TO process. Nothing weird had happened and she'd survived and they were all good and happy. It was VALENTINE'S DAY after all. Of course they were happy. Speaking of happy, there was her lovely boyfriend next to her who had clearly put a lot of effort into this dinner.
Which was why instead of answering him, Maggie turned to face him and gave him a lingering kiss on the lips. That was where they'd been, no? Something like that. She didn't quite remember. But this definitely felt right. She pulled back with a small grin. Now they could go back to enjoying their evening.
A low rumble could be heard before a band of gnomies. No, no, GNUPIDS were here! And they had a special gram to one studensie. Ohh look at the decorations, so lovely it perfectly blended with their rain of confetti.
Giggle, giggle

"Now, what's all this?"
Where were they?
Apparently here... with her lips on his. Zeke was NOT complaining. Smiling against her lips he returned the affection until she pulled away. Such a shame that was, but there would be plenty of time for more of that.
"That's a good question," he said exhaling a breath he didn't know he'd been holding. And all would have been revealed too... had they not been disturbed again.

Locked doors weren't a thing to garden-cupid-gnomes?... and who'd have thought they could sing.
Uhhh... the confetti might have been a bit much though, like, he'd made an effort with his hair and now it probably looked like he dived into the barrel of a shredding machine.
His reflexes were sharp enough to allow him to catch the chocolate frog without much difficulty, but the box of Bertie Bots hit him firmly on the arm. Sheeesh.
"Thanks?" Yeah. Thanks. Thanks gnomey's and thanks Frankie, the dude was good value.
A good question? What? Hadn't he been the one to set all this-
And what on Earth was this?
Maggie actually jumped a little in surprise. Was this...part of Zeke's plan? Although a quick glance at her boyfriend assured her that he seemed to be as clueless as she was about what was going on right now. Also the sweets appeared to be for...Zeke. What? Now that was even more-?
And then there was confetti which she usually liked but right now it was kind of...annoying. Like, it was in her hair. And it was in Zeke's hair. And just everywhere. And..."Zeke?" Explain please? What on Earth?
