The house elves have been hard at work, leaving the Great Hall spotless, the tables set with pristine silverware, and delicious smells floating up from the kitchen. Your stomach might be growling, but it isn't quite time to eat yet.
Hopefully, the new Headmaster will make an appearance before you chew your way through your House table. Has anyone seen him yet?
Sabbath was amused by her giggle as he made his hellos. Since arriving at Hogwarts, he’d found that people were a little funny about kissing hello and public affection outside of his home country, Spain. He chalked it up as cultural difference, but he still wasn’t inclined to change his ways, having been raised by his grandmother to show proper respect to a lady.
Sabbath looked at Clara and nodded with a smile, answering her query. “Yes, actually, I do play. My family are flamenco artists. We travel performing shows and teaching workshops in flamenco dance and music” he said, in his accented English. “For me, Flamenco is a great link to my family. You could say its in my blood, being Gypsy” he added, taking a bite of his food and tucking his long hair behind his ear. “How about you, do you play?" he smiled warmly.
As Sabbath began to explain, the food appeared on all the tables in the Great Hall. It was almost overwhelming how many possibilities there were, Clara didn't even know where to start. Listening intently as he spoke about flamenco, Clara scooped some potatoes onto her plate. The word 'flamenco' sounded incredibly familiar and her brain was trying to figure out why. Then it dawned on her: her dad had a connection to that.
"That's really interesting, actually! I do play guitar. Not very well, though. And uh, not flamenco style, although I have heard of that. My dad was really inspired by that sort of music, as well as Western classical music. I just sort of play for fun, you know? I'm definitely not good enough for anyone to hear me." Clara responded, laughing nervously. That part was true, though. Clara's performance anxiety was ridiculous.
As she sliced the potatoes into bite-size pieces, she continued, "My main instrument would probably be piano. I've been playing since I was seven or so. Classically trained and starting to get into composition now. I obviously don't have much time when classes are in session, but winter and summer are amazing in that there's so much free time." Clara paused to take a bite of potato. "Are you enjoying the food, by the way?" she added, figuring it sounded polite and it wouldn't hurt to ask, since the most important part of the Feast was, well, the food.

"Good evening, Lady Ravenclaw," she greeted with smile. "Did yeh 'av a gud summeh?"
Turning her gaze towards the newly turned second year student Helena smiled faintly. "Good evening Ms Tyler,"
"I did have a good summer. It is very quiet without hundreds upon hundreds of students running around the castle. Gave me time to read up some transfiguration magazines." Helena shared. "How was your summer, dear?"

The new headmaster had style. Kitty liked him.
Helena was looking over at the lion table to see if Sir Nicholas was holding court as usual when she heard her name. Pulling her gaze from her spectral friend she let her grey gaze land on one of the eagle third years. "Good evening Ms Valentine,"
The Grey Lady paused politely as the new headmaster delivered his speech noting that Kitty was clapping a little too enthusiastically for her taste. Sigh. Childen and their manners. Deciding to let it slide for the night she said "My summer was wonderful. I spent a lot of time in the observatory." with Sir Nicholas. "How was your summer break, dear?"
