High up in the top-most reaches of the Castle is a tower dedicated to Ravenclaw House. You come across the entrance in the form of a door on the 7th floor without a doorknob or a keyhole but a bronze knocker shaped like the head of an eagle. If, and only if, you answer the riddle that the eagle presents you correctly, you may gain entrance to the Ravenclaw Common Room. Hey, there's a reason that Ravenclaw is the house for those with brains.
Upon entering the Common Room you see a number of things but mostly you see the floor to ceiling windows that span around the airy, wide and circular room. Beyond their panes you can see what looks like all of Hogwarts' campus and the majestic mountain range beyond. One sweeping look through them and you can see the Forbidden Forest, Quidditch Pitch, The Greenhouses, the Black Lake, and even the shimmering light from the windows in Hogsmeade. At nighttime, the glass reveals the starry night beyond. The walls are covered in blue and bronze silk hangings and the midnight blue carpet covering the floor is decorated with stars just as the domed ceiling.
Placed on the centre of the curved wall is a large fireplace with plenty of navy blue sofas and armchairs placed around it as well as a few book cases and tables. They are there for students to lounge at, as they work on homework, socialize or just relax and enjoy the view between lessons. On a crowded night in the common room the fire place is a good meeting spot if you want to find someone to engage in a rowdy game of Gobstones or plan a party with.
And last but not least, to the right of where the impressive statue of Rowena Ravenclaw herself stands, is the staircase leading to the dormitories. Once you ascend these stairs, going to the right will take you to the ones allotted for the girls and the left will lead you to the ones reserved for the boys. Come in, relax, have fun and make yourselves at home.
OOC: This house meeting is not mandatory, but a low key after the feast gathering for those who don't want to go to bed just yet with some candy, hot bevarages, board games and a chance to catch up with your friends after the summer, or to make some new acquaintances.
With a new hot beverage machine under his left arm and carrying a few bags off other supplies Leo shouldered his way into the Common Room to set things up before all the students with Rooney and Penelope in charge were bound to arrive from the feast.
Working in a quick pace Leo soon had gotten the hot beverage maker up and running which could be heard by the little buzzing sound it made and the steam it puffed out into the air. The all flavoured candy was put into fancy bowls and he poured up apple and pumpkin juice in cans and had gotten glasses from the house elves.
Taking a step back to admire his work Leo pulled a hand through his dark curls, adjusted his HoH pin and hummed to himself with satisfaction. Almost everything was set for a after the feast hang out and exchange of gossip and summer memories. All he needed now was for the students to arrive.

Smiling quite broadly, Kay stepped into the all too familiar common room after answering the question posed by the bronze knocker. Leo was right. The Room hadn't changed at all over the years and it instantly brought back hoards of memories. There was the statue of Rowena where she had spend many of her days sitting on the floor, beside the statue doing homework. The comfy fireplace where she sat playing games with her friends was there too.
And here was Leo! "Leo! Thank you once more for inviting me to your event,'' she greeted as she strode towards him. "I brought some board games. Scrabble, Life, Chutes and Ladders, Ludo...'' Kay set each of the games down on a table. There were more than just those four obviously. "I hope the kiddos will enjoy these.''
Her gaze turned to the set up Leo had put together. "This is just wonderful!'' There was so much sweets! Juice, too. She was a big fan of juice, especially fruit ones. "I suppose the kids will get here soon enough.''
Hadley Denaker was a lot calmer than she had been when she left the Great Hall and a lot of that had to do with her enchanted iPod. Instead of coming straight to Ravenclaw tower, as that was no doubt where Mossy was headed, and she wasn't "allowed" to be around the girl apparently, Haddie had just sort of wandered the hallways and corridors for a bit. Aimlessly pacing as she listened to her music.
You know what they say: Music soothes the savage beast or whatever. She didn't think she was savage or anything, but music always did sooth her.
She entered the Ravenclaw Common Room and stopped, slipping her headphones of her ears and around her neck. Kitridge and the prefects had decorated the Common Room for...something. Something that Haddie really wasn't sure she wanted to join in on; not tonight anyway. But it was still better than being alone in a dorm room with Katherine Moss right now. She just had to go to her dorm room for something.
No it wasn't to change her shirt. She was not obligated to wear her robes or school clothes in the tower.
And what was that Woman doing here? The snobby new Muggle Studies Professor who was here all of 5 minutes and was already trying to push Hadley into being someone else...Why was she in their Common Room!?
Without a word, Haddie vanished up the stairs to the girls' dorms. A minute later, Hadley was back down with an ash grey ferret happily perching on her shoulder. She was still wearing the red and gold I'd rather be in Gryffindor shirt, because why not? It was true and most of Ravenclaw probably wished she in Gryffindor too. Or any house other than Ravenclaw.
Taking a seat under the statue of Rowena Ravenclaw, a bit of a distance away from the others, especially her, Haddie opened her bag and pulled out the cuts of tri-tip wrapped in a napkin. Asher was already sniffing the air excited, which brought a smile to her lips. They might have had a rocky start, but she wouldn't trade him for any other ferret in the world. He was hers and she loved him dearly. Hadley gave him a small scratch on the head and gave him a small piece of the steak while she waited to see what this thing was going to be.
Thankfully Peeves and Miffy were nowhere to be seen at the feast (they were probably off bothering the house elves or portraits) and no mischievous Gryffindor boy (looking at you Blaise) had decided it was a good time for a food fight. The result was that Kitty was happy and at peace with the world as she left the Great Hall (though a little drowsy), full and with all her makeup still on.
Kitty answered the riddle to enter the common room (taking only three minutes and having the side affect of erasing her drowsiness) before stepping in and stopping for a moment to take in the beauty and familiarity that was the Ravenclaw common room. "Good evening Professor Kitridge," said Kitty with a small smile at the librarian and head of house. "I'm going to put my worms away and then I'll be back." Because she didn't want him to think for a moment that she was just planning to skip the party and go to bed. No, no, no - skipping a party was so not Kitty. She walked past him quickly with the crate in her arms and walked up the stairs and entered the third year's dormitory. It was dark and she had to blink a few times before she was able to move forward without fear of tripping. There didn't seem to be anyone else here yet, though there might have been since some of the drapes were pulled down. Perhaps they were sleeping. Being careful not to make too much noise, Kitty made her way over to her new bed and placed her worms on the back nightstand next to it so that it wouldn't fall off. "Good night darlings," whispered Kitty softly to her beloved worms. Then she left her dormitory and walked down the stairs to the common room.
She made her way over to the new Muggle Studies professor. "Good evening professor."Kitty smiled nervously at the new Muggle Studies professor. She would have greeted her by name if she had known it, but she didn't and she hoped she didn't notice. She seemed nice enough, but Kitty's shyness with adults (especially teachers with authority) had not completely worn off from last year and she was still a little cautious. But she knew it was nice to make conversation so she gave it her best attempt. "I love Muggles so I'm really looking forward to your class. Were-were you in Ravenclaw too?" Without noticing, she twirled her fingers nervously as she talked.
After awhile she wandered over to where Haddie sat by the statue of Rowena Ravenclaw - still wearing that shirt. "He's cute," she said about the ferret with a small smile as she watched her feed him. "Does he bite?" 'Cause if he didn't, then she so wanted t pet him.

Rooney had waited until the Great Hall cleared to bring up the bulk of Ravenclaw students, getting lost in conversation about his summer with a first year Stemp. He was glad that there was a Stemp in school that he could hold a conversation with... Honestly, Saffron terrified him and Corbin just wasn't the type of person that Roo could be around for more than a minute without questioning his sanity, and that of the other Ravenclaw male. But he was able to work his way through to the front of the crowd, explaining the whole riddle situation to questioning students, before holding open the entrance for them all as they filed through.
And why was it...why could he smell pumpkin juice? YES.
Looking over his shoulder into the common room, Roo smiled and gave his Head of House a quick wave and a thumbs up. And also a wave to the other Professor there...Rooney wasn't positive which subject she was teaching, mainly because his attention had been captivated by the new HeadMEOWster if anything. "I told you it isn't as scary as your siblings told you." He laughed, giving another of the first years a nudge into the room before following through and giving Miss Hadley Denaker a glance and a tut.
She was one that would give him an eternity of trouble, he knew that already.
But he wasn't going to yell about her returning his robes now. He'd just keep his upset to himself.

The statue of Rowena Ravenclaw was perhaps Hadley's favorite spot in the Common Room. She had a certain affinity with it after she herself had been turned into and left as a statue by the Hag and Drapes. And would still be there, a lawn ornament, had it not been for her name twin, Hadleigh Lynch.
She found the statue soothing and peaceful, and a great vantage point in watching what was going on everywhere else in the Common Room. Like the fact Kitty was on her way over. Haddie scooted a little to make room for Kitty to sit if the girl wanted to, and continued to feed Asher. He'd climbed off her shoulder by this point, and into her lap to be closer to the napkin of tri-tip pieces, but didn't dare try to steal any. He knew better. Last year, he would have, but then, last year, like Haddie, he was all over the place. She'd trained him well over the summer.
Speaking of...Hadley gave Kitty a devious little smirk at the third year's question, and locked eyes with Rooney. He was glaring and tutting at her, but she was just staring blankly back. "Only if I tell him too," she answered Kitty without taking her eyes off Rooney.
Louise wandered, wide-eyed, into the common room of the Ravenclaw tower. She had been lucky and had slipped in behind an older student who (correctly) answered the knocker riddle. She had wanted to figure it out herself of course but even she had to admit that with all the new everything she was dealing with a riddle could be put aside. Especially since apparently she would have to answer one every single time she wanted to get into the dorm.
She had heard that there was supposed to be a House Meeting... was this so that the new students could meet everyone and go over rules? It was good to know rules, get the lay of the land, she supposed. It would be more fun to figure them out by trial and error, though.
Her overlarge robes swamped her small figure as she wandered around aimlessly, examining anything her eye fell upon.

Here came the first person to the gathering! Kay had no trouble recognising this one. She watched Haddie disappear and then return with a ferret around her shoulders then as she sat by Rowena's statue. Kay decided she would engage the girl in conversation, just to get to know her better and to see if she could find out why Haddie did not wear school robes. But she was distracted by another girl telling Mr Kitridge something about worms. Worms? That was new...
Before long the worm girl reappeared. How delightful! She came over for a chat! "Good evening, Miss... I'm sorry but what is your name, dear?'' Kaysha was someone who insisted on knowing each of her students' names and a little about them. No doubt this girl would know her name since the Headmaster mentioned it during his speech. "Oh, you do? Wonderful! I look forward to having you in my classes.'' She smiled. "Yes, I was. The Sorting Hat placed me in Ravenclaw the moment it touched my head.'' The finger twirling did not go unnoticed. "I hope I'm not making you nervous.''
Kay returned the wave at the male prefect. He seemed busy being disapproving of Haddie but she would like to have a word with him sometime later. She wanted to with all the Eagles if she could. Deciding to go revisit old memories, Kay headed for the statue where Kitty and Haddie were seated, waving to a girl in overlarge robes. "Hi. Do you mind if I join you two? This statue was one of my favourite places to sit when I attended Hogwarts.''

Thus far, the house meeting was very nice. Just her and Kitty heaping love, and meat, on Asher. So it was more like a meating, than a meeting. Heh. And then...
...she happened.
Why was it, that the more a teacher wrote you off as a troublemaker the more they always seemed to want to talk to you? You don't need to talk to us to keep an eye on us. But they were teachers, so maybe they didn't know how to keep an eye on things without talking? Hadley watched casually, with a blank expression, as the new Muggles Studies Professor made her way in their direction. And wait...
...
This. had. been. her. favorite spot? Hadley glanced up at the statue with a disapproving look, as if to silently call the statue of Rowena Ravenclaw a traitor, then she shrugged. "It's a free country. ..." Wait. Did that still work outside America? Scotland was a free country too. Wasn't it? She shrugged again and fed the last piece of meat to Asher.
"No more, kiddo," she whispered to him, gently lifting him up off her lap and giving him a quick kiss on the head. Happy, content, and full, the ferret curled up in her lap to sleep while Haddie gently stroked his fur. The two really had bonded well over the summer.
"I'm Kitty Dugray Valentine, but you can call me Kitty for short," answered Kitty with a smile to the new professor. "My dad's a muggle and I used to shop only at muggle stores so I know lots about them. Personally I think they are adorable." The muggles, that was. Talking to the new professor was much easier than Kitty had feared at first, and she found herself becoming more relaxed and confident. But then she asked if she was making Kitty nervous. GAA! Had Kitty been that obvious?? How did she know?? At once Kitty's initial shyness returned as she tried to figure out what she had done wrong. "You're not making me nervous Professor. I mean, all professor's make me nervous. I mean, well no - I'm not nervous." Okay, this was terrible. She tried to change the subject as quickly as she could towards something that might impress the new professor. "Did you know that there used to be a secret room behind the Tapestry on the fourth floor? It's closed now but that was where the Book of Mysteria was kept. Professor Ansley told me all about it last year when I asked him."
Kitty sat down next to Haddie after she had moved to make room for her. She gently stroked the ferret's head, being careful not to press down too hard. "He really is adorable," she said with an uncontrollable giggle as she marveled at his fur. Touching it was an enjoyable experience and the texture was something unlike anything Kitty had ever felt before. Her only pets were worms so she had never had the experience of feeling fur. Her muggle neighbors owned a golden retriever, but its size made her too nervous to ever come close to petting him. "Asher, right?" That's what she had heard Haddie calling him last year.
Then the professor whom she had been talking to a few minutes ago asked to join them. "Fine with me," she replied politely as she watched Haddie pick up her ferret.

Louise blinked, a little shocked that she had been confronted already by a teacher. Well, what did you expect at a party... she thought to herself as she leaned against the statue. She hadn't quite finished examining it when the professor had walked over-what was her name?- but felt that now that she was invited into conversation it would be rude to continue browsing the room.
It was a party she reminded herself. And she must say something. She tried to speak a couple times inbetween Kitty's bubbling conversation, but she wasn't fast enough (and wasn't near confinent enough to interrupt an older housemate.) It was better to do what she did best: quietly listen.
Eventually, though, even Louise couldn't miss her chance. " Hello, Professor. I'm from a Muggle family," she managed to say (albeit very quietly.)
Chloe was keen on getting to bed as quickly as possible. With the energy and excitement still buzzing about from the first feast of the year the third year did not want to be caught up in anything that would detract from the first day of classes. And after such a long train ride and an even longer feast she was longing for her bed.
After she had set up shop for the whole year. There was a lot to unpack and things to hang before she could crawl into bed.
However, when she wandered into the Common Room it looked like a crowd had formed. And people were blocking a lot of the avenues to get to the dormitories.

"Yep. Asher," Hadley kissed the ferret's head again. "He is adorable," she agreed. "He's my baby boy." And she was his proud mama. No shame.
They were joined, or rather, that woman was joined, by a very shy first year (Louise). Hadley couldn't help but overhear the comment the girl made, despite her being so quiet. "You're muggleborn? So am I." She smiled warmly up at the girl. "Bit overwhelming at first, isn't it? But don't worry, you'll love it here. It'll be like a second home to you, trust me. And Ravenclaw is a great house..." She was suddenly aware she was still wearing the I'd Rather Be in Gryffindor Shirt."The shirt is...it's a statement of where I personally belong, and not a commentary on Ravenclaw. It's a great house." So don't worry.
Hads wiped her hand on her jeans, and held it up to the first year to high five, because kids shouldn't shake hands. "I'm Hadley. And this," she nodded to the ash colored ferret, "is Asher."
Katherine had needed to calm down in the dormitory, and luckily, no one had bothered her there. She had developed a defence plan against Haddie and the likes while contemplating life in her bed. She had also written a letter to her mother about her trip to here and the Feast as the woman had wanted her to. Only after hearing some sounds did she emerge from the dormitories, and put on her most suck-up smile ever.
"Professor Kitridge and Stewart," she said as she bowed slightly. She wasn't going to mess this up, see? Seeing as the new addition to the staff was already busy with talking to others, she made her way to the Librarian.
"May I help with anything, sir?" Katherine Moss, always the most polite and considerate...
~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.
"It's lovely to meet you, Ms Valentine... Kitty.'' It was in Kay's nature to acknowledge her students as Mr or Ms. She liked very much that Kitty could relate so much to Muggles. "They are, aren't they? When I was a student here, it used to surprise me that they get by so well without doing magic.'' She smiled knowingly. Kay could hardly blame Kitty for being nervous around Professors. "Actually, I do remember something about that room but vaguely. I'll have to ask Professor Finch about it.'' She paused a little. "Do you play board games? I've brought quite a few there if you think you can beat a Professor at one.'' Her eyes twinkled as she challenged the girl.
The Muggle Studies professor did not fail to notice the first year? girl (Louise) looking rather scared and nervous. She smiled warmly, hoping to ease the girl's fears. "Hello, dear. Do you fancy some pumpkin juice? I was just about to get some for myself.'' But that could wait for a while longer. "You are? Are you Muggle born or half blood if you don't mind me asking.''
Ah, there were two other girls! Where were all the male kiddos? Didn't they want to enjoy this little hangout? "Hello,'' she said cheerily to the girl (Katherine) that had greeted her. Her attention went back to the other one (Chloe) who was rubbing her face. Was she alright?
"Yes, it is, Ms Denaker,'' Kay said as she folded her feet Indian style. So many memories were rushing back to her right now. All those times she had spent here doing homework, struggling at times with it and having Ansley help her; reading her books, playing games with her friends. She pulled herself out of her reverie. "Don't you like being a Ravenclaw?'' Kay watched with interest as Haddie fed her ferret. What an unusual creature to have... a ferret.
Leo was checking the number of sweets by the time that the new muggle studies professor approached him. Turning to her, he smiled. "You're quite welcome, It was the least I could do for another former eagle." Letting his eyes run over the games Kay had brought along as they were placed on the table he said "Thanks for bringing the games. I'm sure the student's will enjoy them if there are easy instructions to how you play the games?" Half of the games he himself had never heard of before.

One thing Leo had always loved about Hogwarts and its students was the diversity. Not one student looked or acted exactly the same as someone else. Kitty who was one of the first eagles to arrive to the common room was a clear proof of that. Smiling at dark haired and heaved make-up'd second year Leo said "Good evening Kitty, did you have a good summer vacation?" Letting his eyes drop to the crate of worm's in Kitty's arms he nodded. "That sounds like a good idea. You will need your hands free if you want to eat or drink something hot or even play a muggle board game before bed." Plus he wasn't sure if the worms would have liked all the noises.

The next eagle to arrive into the the Common Room was a brunette haired girl that he had watched being sorted by the sorting hat at the feast earlier that night. "Welcome to Ravenclaw, Louise!" If she continued with that her face would turn beat red. Walking towards her Leo called out. "Good evening Chloe, is everything all right? Have you got something that is itching in your face?" Which would explain all the face rubbing? Or was he totally barking up the wrongv tree?

Everyone seem to be emerging into the Common Room after answering the bronze knocker's riddles. Not Katherine however. She emerged from the girl's dormitories with a smile on her face which made Leo smiled cheerfully in return when she approached. "Good evening Katherine, did you have a good summer?" Gesturing to the board games he asked "Have you ever played any of those muggle board games?"
Deeming that enough student's had arrived Leo cleared his throat and used a non-verbal spell to enhance his voice slightly as he adressed the students. "Welcome all eagles both new and old to another wonderful year of learning here at Hogwarts! This years house prefects are Rooney Bronwyn and Head Girl Penelope Wright. If you have any questions or problems then don't hesitate to seek them our for help and assistance."
Gesturing to Professor Kay as he continued speaking Leo said "Our new muggle studies professsor Stewart who also is a former eagle is our guest here tonight at our house meeting. She has brought along some fun muggle board games for us all to try out. There are also plenty of hot beverages and sweets to stick your teeth into. So everyone chat, play some games and eat some sweets before going to bed, classes start as always after breakfast tomorrow!"

Abby smiled and Mr Kitridge and said "Good evening sir, I would like a hot chocolate thank you" Abby knew that she had to tell her head of house about her summer but not just now in the common room for everyone to hear
Louise smiled at the older girl, who was also a Muggleborn. Though she didn't know if she liked her blatant dislike of Ravenclaw... oh, so it was just a personal feeling? This was something different than she usually saw amongst the very strong allegiances to one's sorted house.
She didn't say anything to the older Ravenclaw, (er, Gryffindor?) though, mainly because she didn't think that anything she could say would help the situation. If she mentioned that she really liked Ravenclaw so far or that she thought the Hat was right to place people where they went wouldn't this girl get angry? Louise really, really, didn't want to provoke anyone.
So she just smiled lightly and stood up a bit straighter with Muggleborn pride.
Just then she noticed a teacher, the Head of House, motioning her over...
"Excuse me," she said to the older Ravenclaw and the new teacher before joining Mr. Kitridge.
SPOILER!!: Head of House (Prof. Kitridge)

"Hello, Mr. Kitridge. Nice to officially meet you," Louise said, holding out her hand to shake. "Um. It wasn't scary under the Hat."
Actually, it had been a relief to go underneath the Hat. With the brim of the old Sorting Hat over her eyes, Louise couldn't see the rest of the hall staring at her with, what she imagined to be, a hungry sort of attention. They would gobble her up if she was chosen to be in their house. At least the Ravenclaw Head of House was friendly! Louise didn't know what she would do if he wasn't!
...
Games? Muggle games?! Louise rushed over to where the games were stacked to look through them to see if there were any of her favourites. Cluedo? She always loved Cluedo.
"When will we start playing, Professor?" she asked.
What an unusual creature to have... a ferret.
Hadley regarded the new Professor as if she was trying to decide if she should feel challenged, or actually have a little respect for the artful way she twisted Hadley's words on her. She wasn't sure exactly which choice she landed on in the end. Instead, she took the opening of Professor Stewart eyeing Hadley's pet to delay the need to answer. "His name is Asher. I actually got him a year ago tomorrow, right over there," Hadley gave a little nod near the couches. "Our house raffle was overrun with ferrets and pygmy puffs..."
Was her curiosity piqued? Good. Hadley shrugged. "Like I said. It's a great house to those like Katherine Moss, or Jacen Reed, or Ailsa Denaker, my cousin, or Rachel Watson. They belong here. They fit the expectations and the identity of the house." She stroked Asher's fur lovingly for a bit. "It's a good house, and I like it well enough." Except for the pesky issue of people hating her for not fitting in with the way a Ravenclaw should be. "But I'd rather be in a house I truly fit into and belong."

Hadley was discovering she had an unexpected talent for reading people. She picked up on the shyness and the small layer of fear mixed in from the first year girl. However, she wasn't a mind reader and never would be. She assumed that the fear was tied into the girl's shyness. "Hey," she said calmly, "Don't worry. This," Haddie gestured to the Ravenclaw boys and girls that populated the common room. "They're your Hogwarts family. You don't have to be nervous around them. So relax. Enjoy yourself. Get to know your house, make friends. And if makes you feel better," she gave the girl a devious smile, "if anyone does mess with you, they won't, but if they do, just come find me, and I'll have your back." She meant it too. "That goes for outside the house too."
~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.
Kay nodded. "Let me know what else I can do to help, Leo. It's always a pleasure to be doing something for Ravenclaw House.'' Anyone could tell she was and still is a proud Ravenclaw. "Yes, there are easy to understand instruction with each. I'm here also to explain any rules that the students aren't able to grasp.''
....................
"Are these gatherings a usual thing at the start of the terms?'' Kay questioned Haddie curiously. They didn't have these frequently during her time. "May I pat him? He's such a cute little ferret.'' But she wanted to make sure Asher wouldn't bite her or that Haddie wouldn't get angry.
Kay listened carefully to the girl's explanation. "I don't think the Sorting Hat is ever wrong. This may sound cheesy but it probably figured out something about you that you haven't as yet. I am sure some of those Ravenclaw tendencies are yet to be developed. If the Hat says you're a Ravenclaw, then you are.''

Hads nodded. "He's friendly, and loves the attention." She gave Asher another pet, then moved her hands asides so that Kay could pet him. "I'm only second year, so," she shrugged. "There was a raffle last year that went a bit sideways and this year there's this meeting." What was that saying? Twice is a coincidence, thrice was a pattern. Or something.
"Only if you believe the hat is infallible. And I don't." It was a magical sentient hat with its own mind and personality and that made it capable of mistakes just like people and animals make. "I think it can be wrong and probably has been wrong at times. Even if it's right 99% of the time, it'll still be wrong sometimes. That's what I think." Even if one day she felt at home and accepted in Ravenclaw, it wouldn't change anything. She was Gryffindor through and through. She might grow into being a Ravenclaw, but she'd still be a Gryffindor too.
"Ooh I had a great summer," replied Kitty to Professor Kitridge's question. "We visited America and Canada, and I saw a Thunderbird. Unfortunately it was moving too fast for my camera." Which was saying something, because Kitty was super fast when it came to taking pictures. "How was your summer?" She used to think that professor's lived at Hogwarts and that the summer was just their vacation from teaching, but now she knew better. "Did you read any intriguing books recently?"
Was Professor Stewart challenging her to a board game? Hmmm...that could be fun. "I have lots of board games at home in our mansion," she replied earnestly. "Particularly I am good at Ladders and Scrabble, which I see we have. Would you like to play?"
Kitty was still sitting nearby Haddie when she started having an interesting conversation with the new Muggle Studies professor about whether or not she belonged in Ravenclaw and whether the Hat could be wrong. Personally Kitty hoped that Haddie would embrace Ravenclaw (whether or not the Hat could be wrong) but she didn't say anything, instead opting to listen in silence.
