Art was stooped over his walking stick. It was all that was holding him up. He'd thought this would have been fun, a good idea, something to get a laugh, but he was regretting it now. The walking stick was shaking under his tremour. Even dear Madame Curie was looking at him, her little nose sniffing about in concern. He slowly, slowly pulled out his chair, walked around it, and sat down. It took him about two minutes to be able to lift up high enough to place his backside on the chair, but there it was. And hopefully he wouldn't have to move it this lesson. It would take a few hours for the potion to wear off.
The door was already open, and the ingredients were lined up under a charmed piece of cloth. Mostly so that he could be sure nobody had tampered with them, but also to keep the ingredients a secret. At least for now. He was starting to think about how he would manage to reach across the desk to lift the cloths... how would he manage that? Well, a class of students, he was sure he could ask one of them to lift it up for him.
Prepare all ingredients as listed in the ingredients list, weighing and measuring each carefully.
Slowly heat the red wine and prune juice and begin stirring clockwise until you can just see bubbles starting to form. (The mixture will be dark purple/brown)
Immediately add the Hairy Fungus and continue to stir clockwise for ten minutes. (The mixture will slowly fade to a lighter purple/brown)
Continuing to stir clockwise, add the tortoise shell. (The mixture will be a creamy color)
After eight minutes, remove the cauldron from the heat and add the caterpillar and bat tongue, making sure to continue to stir the solution in a clockwise motion for five minutes, until it changes to a creamy green colour.
As the potion cools, it will turn emerald green. Once it is completely cooled (about fifteen to twenty minutes), you may cease dispense the potion into appropriate vials for storage.

Abby looked at Professor Newton and said "I think so sir just feel a whole lot older than I am supposed to be" Abby was rather embrasssed about her accident but in all honesty the potion had worked even though she was supposed to not drink it but she was a bit accident prone after her summer but heck she knew that it would not be the first time she would have accidents in class
So Mr Solo DID want to be as old as Art was? He nodded. He watched the young man fetch the potion, and Art held it up to the light. "This is the antidote. I need plenty of it around if-if students want to st-start to uhh... try their potion. Thank you Mr Solo!" Especially if this one young man wanted .
"Aaahhhh, okay. COOL. Welcooommee!" Matt said in a sing-song voice before spinning on his heels and heading back to his work station. RAH! Onto work! He was EXCITED to drink his Potion!
Matt laughed at the crazy stuff that was already happening to some people and he COULDN'T WAIT to finish his Potion so crazy stuff would happen to him TOO. Mwahaha!
Right, so, eventually Matt managed to break the tortoise shell and after a few minutes of working on it, he didn't quite have a fine powder of such ingredient, but he was happy enough with his work. Actually, he was now bored of trying to break the thing, so whatever he had now would have to do.
With aaaaall of the ingredients pretty much ready, Matt turned to the board again to read the next set of instructions. "Eeeasyyyyyyy." He said out loud as he poured the liquids into his cauldron. Red wine and prune juice alll nice and mixed in the cauldron, which was now over the fire Matt had just lit. COOL. Now he was stiiirring it clockwise. Wait, was it clockwise he needed to sti-- yep! It was, maha. GOOD!
"Stiirriing! Stiirring! Stiirriiing!" The Gryffindor sang in a random tune he made up as he wiggled his body whiiiile stirring. Cooking brewing Potions could be kinda fuun. He raised his fist in victory when he noticed the bubbles starting to form. And AHA! His Potion WAS dark purple/brown. That, or Matt was colourblind, WHICH he wasn't, soooo so far so good.
"Hairy fungus tiiiime." He added the smashed thing into the mixture and continued to stirr and wiggle. "Dum de dum dum dum." He looked at the board once more and his eyes widened. "TEN MINUTES??" MAN, that was FOREVER. He needed to keep stirring for TEN MINUTES??? HIS ARM WAS GOING TO FALL OFF by the end of that. "Professor, can I have a spell that will make my stirrer stir by itself?" He asked from his workstation. It was only fair!

Hadleigh didn't see any reason why the Professor would shoot down her going after the littlish Haddie being as he wasn't able to do so right this moment. Her reason was most likely spot on when the very much older man agreed. "Yes Sir, we'll find her." There was no doubt about it. Even if it meant using magic they would find the smaller blonde.
Taking the vial with the antidote in it Hady pocketed it inside her robes for safe keeping. Turning around she looked for Katherine, Haddie's partner. "Come with me, we'll come back for our things after we get Haddie." With that she quickly headed from the room casting a quick glance over her shoulder to make sure the younger girl had indeed followed her.

Harriet was really bored of stirring. Her arm really really ached too. She needed to know that charm really badly. Well she actually needed to switch arms too, otherwise she was going to have one really strong arm, and then one that wasn't so strong. That would not be a good look at all. So she needed to switch arms, and then learn the spell. After she'd finished the potion anyway.
So. She figured that it had been about 8 minutes. She hadn't really been paying too much attention. Opps. But the potion looked like a good color. Now it was time to take it off the heat. Hattie carefully removed her cauldron from the heat, and then used her wand to put the flame out. Now there was no chance that she was going to burn herself. That was always a bonus
Turning back to her notes, she looked what was next. "Add Caterpiller and bat tongue...." She murmured, as she carefully picked the two ingredients up, and then placed them into her cauldron. Oh merlins knickers. More stirring! At least it was only for 5 minutes this time. She was sure she could do that. Smiling, a little, she picked her stirrer up and then began to keep stirring, still in the clockwise direction.
5 minutes. 5 more minutes of stirring. She could do this. Come on Paton. Nearly there. Maybe she should have switched her stirring arm though Opps. Oh well. She'd think about that next time.

Was it weird that he could feel it? Jaemin had sunk back into his seat to wait, and it wasn't taking very long. The small boy felt a weird tingling along his skin, and even as he held his arms out he could see his limbs getting a bit longer.
He had anticipated growing, but he hadn't really considered how much of a problem it would become with his clothes. He was getting taller! SO MUCH TALLER. LIKE MILES TALLER. YES.
And no. Because his pants were pressing uncomfortably into his hips, and his shirt was pulling up off his tummy and getting tighter in the arms and chest. The now less small boy's cheeks went pink when he realised what was happening, and he pulled down on his shirt to try and cover the exposed skin, but there just wasn't enough shirt for his body anymore.
"...help?" he murmured, to the world at large. The voice that came out, however... his eyes went wide at that and he touched his throat. HIS VOICE GOT DEEPER. ADULT VOICE!
He'd been hoping for full-on adult, like mid-twenties. But his potion apparently wasn't potent enough, because in the seat where twelve year old Song Jaemin had been sitting, a thinned out nineteen year old version now sat, looking very much the same and very much different all at once.

Mr Fletcher was full of questions that Art was very happy answering. Curious minds were a GREAT tool.
Right. With a nod, and a muttered, "Thanks, Sir." Dalton finally made his way back to his desk, adding the correct amount of red wine and the bat tongue to his perfectly measured out ingredients. Then, after another short stretch and a flexing of his fingers, he set about using his mortar and pestle to mash up the hairy fungus, before moving that into another bowl, casting "Scourgify" to make sure the equipment was clean before moving onto powdering the tortoise shell. Neither tasks of which took too much time due to the summer he'd spend at the gym, but he wasn't bragging about that, especially not how it helped his potion skills. Heh. The dicing and slicing took longer, however, as he was determined to get the pieces to as near perfect uniform as possible, and paused once to perform a sharpening charm on his knife.
A spell that he wasn't sure even helped that much. At least his potioneering skills were better than his charms ones, though.
"Scourgify," Dalton muttered again under his breath, this time with his wand aimed at his cauldron. After a quick inspection leaving him satisfied that it was clean, he pointed his wand at the base, lighting a low fire there, before slowly adding the wine and prune juice. Keeping his wand pointed at the flame in order to control the heat and not have the liquid warm too quickly or accidentally boil, he swapped the now empty bottles for his glass stirrer. As bubbles started to form, Dalton slowed his clockwise stirring and peered down at his textbook for the next instruction.
The hairy fungus was added in, with a short "Crap," under his breath as he read the word immediately. The slight pause could form cause for concern with the potion, and he grimaced slightly before continuing the clockwise stirring, timing ten minutes on his watch. Tongue stuck between his teeth in concentration, of course.
As the potion started to pale, his gaze on the clockface became more intense, in order that he should add the tortoise shell as accurately at ten minutes as possible, given that he'd already messed up timing slightly. Maybe if he'd been good at any other subject it wouldn't bother him so much, but seeing as he didn't count Muggle Studies, Potions was his only option at doing well. Doing well at anything, seemingly. After dropping the shell into the cauldron, Dalton switched hands with his stirrer, and timed another eight minutes, observing the colour change to cream. A creamy colour that he wasn't sure was completely accurate, but would have to do. He didn't have time to start over.
Eight minutes later, he extinguished the flame with a short wave of his wand and added the last of the ingredients. He always wondered what would happen if one used a spell to speed up the cooling of a potion, but wasn't going to try without guidance, and so made a note to look it up later. Instead, he just waited the next twenty minutes out with an increasingly bored expression on his face, before siphoning off some of the now-emerald liquid into a vial and stoppering it.

What.The.Hell.Was.This.
???
WHY WASN'T HER POTION-BREWING GOING HORRIBLY??? She had done everything perfectly! Everything! She had crushed the shell perfectly, she had cut everything perfectly, she had stirred perfe-
Wait. . . she had been stirring it clockwise. . . right? Yeah, each time she had stirred it clockwise. . . then why the hell was she stirring ANTI-clockwise right now??? -___-
Merlin, why did her life suck so much?
Mason had been wondering why it was turning creamy, even after she had stirred it for another 8 minutes, even after she added the tongue and fungus, it still did nothing.
And now, after like fricken 15 minutes of cooling, she finally realized what she had done wrong. . . one stupid mistake. . . and her entire potion went to hell. . . whhyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?????
And now it was here, done. It had cooled. There was nothing that she could do to safe this catastrophe. . . nothing. The potion didn't even look right. Instead of emerald, it was transparent and it had all of these weird milky-white things drifting in it. Said milky-things looked like balls of hair, like a hair-ball of a really gross old cat. How did one mistake cause all of this?????
And she didn't even have enough ingredients or time left to fix it, so she was gonna have to give it in just like this. . . OMG, please safe meeeeeee. So with a extremely disappointed look, she took one of her little vials and scooped some of the putrid liquid into it. Insert disgusted shudder here.
She tried avoiding the little hair-balls as she scooped, cause ew, she already knew that Professor Newton was going to be super let down by the quality of her sad-excuse of a potion. . .
So, with a heavy heart, Mason corked the bottle and took it to the front where the professor sat. She wrote her details on the little label and stuck it onto her potion. Add a little smiley face aaannnddd done.

Stir. Stir. Stir.
Her arm was really aching. How did she manage this much stirring? She really did not know? But it would soon be over. She knew that she was nearly done making the potion, and that was good. She needed to rest her poor arms. They had done a lot of work, and deserved a good rest. She just hoped that her potion was good. She wanted the professor to think she was good at potions. She wanted to be good, but knew it was good to not be overly big headed. So she was going to keep working hard, and hope that she did good.
She looked up a the clock. "Okay... it's been 5 minutes. I think. Maybe 6. Ops" But at least she had noticed now! It had gone a kind of greeny color. It was still pretty creamy colored though. But it was tinged with green. She took that as a good sign! It was meant to be green! So it was slowly going there. So she hoped she was doing good.
Now she just had to wait for it to properly cool down. Finally no more stirring! Hattie beamed, tugging her chair closer, and taking sit down. So she needed to wait about another 20 minutes and then she would be done. Yay! Whilst she waited, Hattie began to clean up her bench. At least this way she would be nearly all cleaned up by the time it came to finish her potion.
15 minutes to go.

Katherine was still in denial, even though the professor said she wasn't at fault. This was supposed to be her day! This was supposed to be the day she had managed not one but TWO advanced potions, and yet - Hadley Denaker had to mess it up like she always -
RUNNING AWAY! SHE WAS RUNNING AWAY! Katherine wanted to go after her, but she hesitated. She wasn't about to rush out of a classroom without the professor's permission - and she glared at the others offering to go after her. This was her responsibility, her battle. As soon as she had Haddie, they were going to have a talk and it was best for the people to stay away.
She poured into another vial some of her WORKING potion, and as soon as the professor told her and Hady that they can go after the little fugitive, she left the rest of her materials here and ran after the little blonde, with the older girl.

Fifteen minutes
Ten minutes.
Five minutes.
She was nearly done. And she was so excited. She had thought that she had done a good job. It was the first ever potion that she had brewed and it looked like it had worked. It was a good colour, a nice green. Though it was still a little creamy. Now she knew that was probably a sign that she hadn't done it amazingly. But since it was the first potion she had ever brewed she thought that it was a good idea. She was happy, and she couldn't wait to tell Frankie, and Noah, and her parents how good she had done. Or how well she thought she had done anyway.
Ahh. Yay! It had been fifteen minutes. She looked into the potion. Oh. It was a kind of emerald green. Not totally emerald, but more green that cream. And that she was happy with. She rested her hand above the potion to make sure it was cool. It looked pretty cool. Smiling, she grabbed her vials, and carefully poured her potion into them, so that they could be safely stored. She was really proud of herself, and couldn't stop smiling. Picking up her quill, she labelled the vial, so that the professor could mark her work.

Oh, any will do? Jace blinked, and shrugged as he turned around to face his work station once more to continue his potion. Amongst the three stirrers, he chose the glass one. It was his favourite so might as well use that. Keeping the other two stirrers away, Jace resumed and began with the second step. He added both the red wine and prune juice into the cauldron, and started a fire using his wand. “Incendio.” As the Bunsen burner was ignited, he turned his wrist a bit to the left to magically reduce the flame to medium heat. Rolling his right shoulder, the tiny half-Japanese began to stir the liquid clockwise, and waited for the bubbles to form.
When the bubbles were evident, and his mixture was a good shade of brown, Jace added the mashed Hairy Fungus and continued to stir the contents in a clockwise motion. His eyes darted from his cauldron to the small wristwatch on his left arm. As he did so, he tried not to think about the cramping sensation he started to feel on his right shoulder. It was a good thing that he expected the pain to come since this potion is all about stirring in a clockwise manner. A movement that signified the advancement of time, fitting for a potion that was aptly named Ageing Potion. Jace kept the realization in his head as he eyed his work carefully.
Once ten minutes was up Jace added the crushed tortoise shell, and watched his potion turn into the right shade. Relieving his right arm from stirring, he got the stirrer with his left hand this time and continued to stir for eight more minutes without breaking the rhythm. There must be some spell to use for the stirrer to continue mixing the content in a consistent manner, yeah? He’d probably look it up the next time he visits the Library. He was sure Mr. Kitridge would be more than willing to help.
After exactly eight minutes on his wristwatch, Jace turned his Bunsen burner off to relieve the potion from the heat, and added the diced bat tongue and chopped caterpillar. He continued to stir the potion in a clockwise motion for another five minutes, and watched as the content turned from a creamy color to a creamy green one. Once he saw what he hopes to be the right shade, Jace ceased from stirring and waited for it to cool down.
The Ravenclaw left his cauldron for now, and diligently took down notes and observations on his Potions journal. From the stirring motion, to the significance of each potion ingredient, all were written down with his theories and educated guesses. It would be a great way to pass up the time in the library, yeah? Satisfied with his notes, he neatly stowed his writing implements away in his bag, and began to clean the tools he used in preparing his ingredients. He took his time to scourgify everything, from his scales, beakers, stirrer, ingredients tray, and borrowed bowls from Professor Newton. As soon as they were sparkling clean, he moved them back to its original place, and placed the clean bowls on the professor’s table.
Jace took a peek of his potion, and was delighted to see that it was the emerald green shade that the professor wanted. When the potion was cool enough to sample, Jace took one of his clean vials with his name, and neatly transferred a small amount of the potion into it. The Ravenclaw carefully sealed it with a cork, and made a beeline for the professor. Showing it to the man, he smiled at him and placed it carefully on his table. “Arigatou gozaimasu, Newton-sensei.” He said bowing to the man, showing his gratitude for the lesson shared with him.

So she could do either.
Quite frankly Esme didn't WANT to start over, but if it meant that she would have better results... Well, that just made the most sense, didn't it?
"Thank you, Professor. You're the best." Because he was always so kind and helpful and never got mad when people made mistakes. She had really liked Professor Culloden, but sometimes he had been scary because he got angry with people. Fortunately he never had with HER because she had never made huge blunders. Even this wasn't a terrible mistake she reasoned. She would just be more careful the next time.
After disposing of the contents of her cauldron (what a waste), Esme set about preparing all the ingredients again. Her equipment was Scourgified and wine and prune juice measured out. After the fungus and tortoise shell had been prepared with the mortar and pestle they were set aside in bowls. Lastly the caterpillar was sliced and the bat tongue diced. It was time for her to start adding things to the cauldron.
The red wine and prune juice were carefully added and Esme stirred with her wooden stirrer in a clockwise direction until she saw the bubbles begin to form. The potion was a dark purple/brown colour so she knew that she was doing things correctly so far. Smiling to herself she immediately dumped in the hairy fungus and continued stirring. This time she would be VERY careful about checking the clock because it was at this part that she had messed up and the rest of the steps would be just as precise. No wonder this was advanced! She didn't know how potioneers could do this kind of thing without feeling stressed out. At least they always appeared to be calm and collected.
Esme watched as the colour began to slowly lighten, glancing every so often at the time. As soon as she hit the ten minute mark, the tortoise shell was added and she continued stirring. It was a creamy colour now so she was doing things correct still. Good. More stirring for another eight minutes and she quickly removed the cauldron from the burner and added the caterpillar and bat tongues. She continuously stirred for another five minutes and saw it become a creamy green colour.
Once the potion had cooled to the point where it was emerald green, she scooped some into a clean vial that had her name labeled on it:

Kye was relieved that the professor didn't shake his head disapprovingly and kick her out or something. Yea, her potion wasn't terribly off color, but she was very competitive and wanted to be the best. After all, how could it be hard to do exactly what a book told her to do?? She would do better. She returned to her seat and sighed. At least she wasn't causing a ruckus like the five year old, or breaking cauldrons.

Now.. there hadn't been an explanation of just how long he should leave his potion to cool, just a range between 15 and 20 minutes. 5 minutes was a long time frame to differentiate between... when baking, 5 minutes was the important period between a moist cake and a dense brick that no amount of icing could salvage. Hm. He decided to just keep an eye on it whilst he cleaned out his other utensils. Mainly his knife and everything else he had used to prepare his ingredients. But, Rooney did take a cloth to his work surface and gave it a scrub.
Couldn't be too careful.
By his clock... (aka his repetetive Defying Gravity singing under his breath) he was nearing 15 minutes of cooling time and so he looked over at his potion.. Hmm... Wasn't...exactly emerald yet..?
Maybe he would wait for the 20 minutes to be up.
Another song!
...... Nah, he'd stick to Defying Gravity. Under his breath though, so as not to draw attention to himself or even distract anyone that was working slower than he was. And he was working slooooooow as hell. Ehehehehee. He really just wanted to be able to sing this a little louder and pair it with his confident stamping and green face. Maybe he would just repeat his Elphaba Bronwyn costume for this years Halloween. It wasn't like he had thought of anything else he could do. Peaked too soon, kid.
TWENTY MINUTES. Finally! AND IT WAS THE RIGHT COLOUR! Roo filled up his vial, gave it a little sniff too...just in case and then proceeded to write his name, house and year onto a label. 'Prefect Rooney Bronwyn' was now his official name, you know?

Scarlett knew the next step was to heat up the liquids, so she took the red wine and the prune juice and put both of them in her cauldron. She then took her wand and pointed at the bottom of her cauldron. "Incendio!" she exclaimed, watching as the flames ignited and she started to stir the mixture. She put it at around medium heat, which she figured was a good place to start. If it was taking too long, she'd up the heat a bit, but the professor hadn't specified what heat to use. Just said "slower". So she was just kind of winging it.
Stirring clockwise as instructed, she watched for any sign of bubbles. After a few moments, the mixture began to boil and there were the bubbles, as expected. Now she knew she had to add the fungus. She grabbed the mashed up mixture and threw it in the cauldron, then continued to stir. She looked at the clock and took note of the time, because now the countdown started for ten minutes...

"Th-thank you Mr Jones, wonderful, good work today!" With another one added to the collection, Art knew they were almost done.
"Thank you Mr Fletcher," Art said as another emerald green vial came to his desk. "Great work today."
Art didn't have to look closely at this potion to see that it wasn't an Aging potion. As Miss Stevens added her potion to the collection Art gave her a warm smile and a nod. "Thank you Miss Stevens. Y-you taught me so-something today! An-an easer way to crush the shell." Would that help soothe the blow of a botched potion? He hoped so...
The next one to be placed on his desk was from first year Miss Paton. Art smiled at her. "Thank you, and-and wonderful work today Miss Paton, very good indeed."
And a lovely emerald green one from young Mr Reed was added to the collection. Art wasn't sure of any Japanese to reply to his thank you, so he just gave a little bow and said "Fantastic work today Mr Reed, just wonderful." And then he listened to the young man's question. "Th-the antidote is-is similar to the De-Aging potion, except it h-it has some of uhh some other ingredients, like Gypsophila and grated apple. But un-unfortunately you can't detect if someone is aged with the potion un-unless you give them the antidote..."
Another lovely emerald green one was placed on his desk by Miss Darcy, who had been kind enough to tell Art that he was the best, earlier. That had got a nervous little laugh from the man. "Great work Miss Darcy, just wonderful. And and th-thank you for your offer to help Miss Denaker," he added. A very hufflepuff trait, and a very lovely one at that.
It was a roll, as another emerald green potion was put on his desk. He chuckled at the label. "Thank you Prefect Mr Bronwyn," Art said with a grin. "You did a marvellous job today."
Miss Abby Valentine was saying she felt much older than she was supposed to be. "W-well so-sometimes if the-the dosage is higher you will... uhh you will find yourself older." That was to say the more one took, the older one became.
Art had a quick think about Mr Solo's question. "P-perhaps Locomotor," he said. "J-just have to keep fl-flicking your wand around the right way to ge-get your stirrer to do the same." So he didn't know if it was what Mr Solo really wanted but... it was the best he could do.
Art nodded at Miss Lynch and Miss Moss who were both happy to go and find Miss Denaker. The thought of a child on the loose gave him the butterflies. It was not good. Nope. "Thank you both," Art said quietly to them as they left. Miss Moss' Potion looked excellent, though. She would have that to make her feel better. He hoped...
"Oh Great Scott," Arthur muttered, as he watched Mr Song age and... get too big for his clothes! He hobbled towards the row of lab coats and picked a larger one up, and hobbled over to Mr Song with it. "T-try this on," he said, handing it to the boy. Who was now a... well, a man.
OOC: You have just over 4 hours left to get your potions in. Remember, you can just write one MEGA post if need be, and it won't effect your points or grade. <3

Scarlett was very satisfied to see that her potion was turning the correct color - after about 10 minutes, she had a light purple mixture, just as the professor had indicated would happen. She was getting good at this whole Potions thing!
Now for the shell. She took the ground up shell and added it into her potion, then continued to stir the potion as instructed. This was starting to hurt her arm...and now she had to do this for EIGHT MINUTES? UGH. Fine.
It seemed to take forever, but eight minutes FINALLY went by and Scarlett took the cauldron off the flame, extinguishing it in the process. She took the remaining two ingredients - the bat tongue and the caterpillar - and added it to the potion. She had five more minutes to go and then she was DONE with this potion!
After five minutes, she had a creamy green potion in front of her - she hoped that it would cool to the dark emerald green that she had been told about. While it cooled, she added all of the ingredients and the steps into her notes so she'd have them for safekeeping. Once that was done, she peeked at the potion to see if the cooling process was done - it looked emerald green to her! Or at least....Slytherin green. Yeah, that was a better description. Was that good enough? She hoped so.
She took one of her vials and labeled it before pouring a good sample into it for grading.

Having simply watched and observed the others in the class for quite a while, Daxton had effectively wasted quite some time. It was something of an improvement, though, depending on one's perspective. Oftentimes Daxton barely showed up for his classes, and the ones he did show up to, he had a habit of making Swift Exits. However, by staying in Potions, he had had a chance to observe the students who had tested their potions their potions, the results of which had been amusing if not entertaining.
Soon enough, he had decided it was a good idea that he had not brewed and tested his own potion; if it had been done efficiently, there would have been the awful issue of outgrowing his clothes. Granted, he already wore clothes that were too big, but he had no way of knowing just how tall he was likely to get, not without a point of reference. It could be a disaster.
Eventually, after observing for quite some time, Daxton had decided that - even with the opportunity to experiment with his potion - it was a better idea to do nothing. It had occurred to him that it would make more sense to save his ingredients and attempt the potion later on his own, rather than waste what he had already collected and spent time preparing, especially if Newton noticed anything untoward with the brewing process.
Carefully and quietly, Daxton started packing his potions equipment and ingredients away, taking pains to make sure he did not contaminate or lose any of what he had already prepared. He avoided looking in the professor's direction, lest it prompt the man to look back at him, and Daxton preferred to not have to attempt explaining his actions. In fact, Daxton realised if he could pack his things up quickly and discreetly enough, he might be able to slip out unnoticed. It was terribly tempting not to add more to his notes, as eavesdropping on Newton's interactions with other students had led to more note-worthy comments and ideas.

Mel had finished cleaning up her station and grabbed one of her vials and quickly stored some of them in her potions kit. For later use of course and well…testing it out? Grabbing her quill she wrote down her name, year, and house on a little label before sticking it with a charm to the vial.

With everything set she made sure to clean everything else up and clean her cauldron out before putting everything away. It didn’t even look like anyone had made her way over to the Professors desk before placing the potion on the table in front of him. “Thank you Professor, I had a lot of fun making this” she grinned and looked around at the classroom. Stripping off her lab coat she put away the safety gear and looked around for her friends…where had they gone? Sure Ace was there but…Hads? She had missed her.

Oh thank Merlin. He hadn't learned how to make his clothes bigger or anything, so a coat would be very helpful, yes. Jaemin took it gratefully from the professor and stood up to pull it on over his clothes; one of the buttons on his shirt popped when he moved his arms into the sleeves, and his face went even darker pink as he hugged it closed around himself. Even just standing felt odd, because... he was clearly taller. Which threw off his perspective of everything.
But he was not nearly as tall as he had been hoping he would be. Jaemin looked down at his feet, now a bit further away, and frowned. He wanted to be at least six inches taller than this! The nineteen year old reached up one hand and absently rubbed at his cheek, which was not nearly as round and squishy as it had been previously, and looked around for some reflective surface to peek into. If he wasn't going to be tall, then... he at least hoped he was cute.
He found himself looking into a shiny tray, and the frown deepened.
"I just look the same!" The disappointment was evident in his deeper voice. He looked to the professor, chewing on his bottom lip lightly. "Can I keep this coat for a little while? And bring it back after the stuff wears off?"
Or should he take the antidote before he left? It wasn't like he absolutely needed to take it, right? He wasn't like, super old like the professor was... or too young like Haddie had been.

All that was really left for him to do now was to wait for his potion to cool before he could collect samples into vials. So as not to waste time and be late to his next class, Zeke tidied up his work space and his utensils with a few choice "Scrougify,"s - before packing away his implements, and reviewing his class notes.
For something that was 'advanced' he found that the only challenging component was the endless stirring, but even that wasn't so bad. He'd found it rather therapeutic if he was being honest about it.
Checking his potion again once he was done packing most of his things away, Zeke grinned at his emerald green potion. Brilliant. Perfect.
Filling a few vials of the emerald green ageing potion, Zeke stoppered them and placed two in his bag for later use. He was actually super curious to see how he might age because like, that was cool. Right? Sort of like a look into the future. With the other vial, Zeke made sure to label it for submission, the tag read his name, house and year group:

So they are making an Aging Potion?
Does he want to Age up? No. But hey this can be useful for things like oh....buying games that they wont sell to ickle ones like himself? Getting into places that are "adults only"-- which he had always wondered about because what is it that they do there? His dad wouldn’t even talk about it like whut?
So he went ahead and started collecting those ingredients. Prune juice, practically the only thing he was allowed to have when they have parties. He may have taken a small sip of that red wine-- of which he regretted almost immediately. This tastes AWFUL. How can his folks take this thing and keep smiling? Heck his dad takes this like its water.
Then he started prepping his cauldron. A NEW one too, self stirring and such. The tools of the trade for a Michelin-starred Chef yeah? But of course.
Clean it. But it IS clean. Clean it again? Sheesh talk about OCDing your way to a grade. It reminded him of Mom's best friend, Vickers-- that basketcase as his dad called him.
So after scourgifying that pot to an inch of its life Tenacius started pouring the measured out wine and prune juice, then heat it up. Hey at least its still like cooking right? "Incendio--" he murmured as the flame lit under the cauldron, then a tap with his wand towards the clockwise direction and the stirrer started to move on its own. Ah modern magic, aint it a wonderful thing? And the aroma is getting more intense-- the alcohol is burning off, or so their hotel chefs explained to him.
He gave the hairy fungus a mash before dropping it into the pot, the stirrer incorporating it seamlessly into the solution-- oh hey look its turning a bit darker, a bit more brownish. So whats next?
A bitty powdered tortoise shell thats what. Sprinkled it in mmhmm. Tenacius grinned his megawatt grin because the mixture started to lighten in color considerably, like cake but in liquid form. And it smells yummy too because why shouldn’t it be? Up to this point this is what the French add to their dishes that you have to pay a galleon for.
So he had to time the things. Ugh the waiting, this he really had to work on. At least his pot stirs by itself "Eight minutes pot, keep going." so the Curly Top took the time to look around-- and oh my Godric what is happening??!? Denaker-- who he sat in front of-- is now this child that was about to break lose-- oh no wait she's gone. There were various levels of CHAOS everywhere, and looks like the Professor is about to collapse.
Ding! Oh wait his self stirring pot goes ding too? See this is why dad always insists on top-shelf purchases. Tenacius took the flames away then added in the sliced caterpillar and diced bat tongues -- mmmm the kind of mysterious chewiness among all the yumminess, as his pot continued to stir "Five minutes for this pot."
He overheard that there is an antidote-- were they allowed to try it out? He hasn’t really considered that since they started-- maybe subconsciously his brain skipped that fact because of what happened last time. But as he looked around his classmates that were in varying degrees of aging / de-aging, it got Tenacius all curious. What would he look like when he's older? He had always assumed that he'd look like his dad. But theres so many assumptions he had as a kid that was being proven different now that he was discovering things on his own. He looked at Mel to see if she's taken it-- hmm she's bottling things up-- a lot of vials. What she gonna sell those? Might not be a bad idea.
Ding! Goes his pot the second time, and the stirrer now stays still. Tenacius took a peek and he can tell that the creamy green solution was starting to darken into an emerald green around the edges, places where the solution would cool faster. He looked at Mel again-- dang this solution looks really nice in them vials....
Should he try it out? His Gryffindor daring was egging him on. He'd turn to his Ravenclaw side but its curiosity level was up to wazoo and well yeah-- he's taking it. He waited till the solution cooled enough and decided to take a small dose, slurp slurp slurp.
........
....
..
He could feel.. something. Like he could feel that he's heavier. He moved around and nearly knocked the stirrer off his pot. Gosh more awkward. He wasn’t used to all this weight. He looked at his hands and they were MASSIVE. Yikes! And pfdfebdfedfdtt what is this in his mouth-- hair??? Is this his hair?? What what WHAAT??
"Mel!! Can I borrow your mirror??!?" he squeaked-- or squawked?? He had a deep weird voice OMG-- as he rushed over and, not waiting for his bestie, started digging into her bag for her mirror.
His hair!... was still curly thank goodness, he was a little worried that he would grow out of it. But it was long and he looked like a homeless man. And look at the rest of him! He didn’t catch up with his nose, its still huge. sobs. His mouth still occupied more than a third of his face. Everything was just gonna be bigger innit? Big hands, big mouth, big nose, big hair. Was he gonna be tall? Its hard to tell from just looking at the mirror. It would suck if he was big in everything except height. *cough maybe not that bad cough*
"Man puberty is gonna suck for me." he retorted as he left the mirror back with Mel and walked back to his own work station. Well at least he knows his potion works yeah? Just.... Yeah this was like the fast track, a peek at his future. And right now he was in NO RUSH to be in it.
He labelled his potions accordingly:

... And then submitted the vials to the Professor. "Sir, can I have an antidote to this please?" he lumbered awkwardly towards the Potions Master
Yeah thats what crazy is, when its broken you say theres nothing to fix++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++And you pray that everything will be okay, while you're making all the same mistakes
Her hand was still poised on the vial as she wanted to see what she would look like in a couple of years…but still, a part of her was nervous as she took the drink in hand and looked up at the older looking Tenacius. “You look like some greasy hobo Ace.” She bluntly admitted as she looked at him…sure, his hair was BAD
“Wish me luck,” she muttered to him as she took the vial she had saved to try and took a sip of it. Gah. Disgusting. Not worth it at all.
Taking one of the back-up mirrors she looked at herself and balked before looking down at the ground again. Wait. WAIT WHAT WAS THAT? “I’m the same height” she groaned but that wasn’t what she was mentally screaming about. She had…a chest. A REAL chest…which kind of made her a bit nervous because it was basically like advertising hey look giant chest over here she quickly pulled her cloaks tighter around her and felt her cheeks reddening. Dear god. Her hair looked cute though…that was a plus but…goodness no. She was ALL chest…that was something she’d have to talk to India about…the b-r-a-thing. Yep. Investing in good ones was a must now wasn’t it…and it hurt. Everything kind of hurt from her body growing so quickly.

"Thank you Miss Reynolds," Art said to the next vial of green goodness. He added it to the collection of vials, ready to be marked. "Wonderful job today."
Art knew that Mr Prince hadn't brewed a potion. Not only was his space all packed up, but he didn't have a vial of potion to mark. He sighed. Art just had a funny feeling that Mr Prince was one with a lot of hidden talent. But how could he encourage the young Ravenclaw to express his talent?
Art collected the vial from Miss Johanson as well, adding it to the collection. He smiled at her comment "Th-thank you Miss Johanson, I had a-a wonderful time TEACHING it!" He did, his class was mostly full of talented Potioneers, and otherwise curious minds. How wonderful it was to teach them.
Art wasn't sure what he could say to reassure the young man in front of him. "S-sometimes people take a bit longer to-to-to... to uhh to mature visually. Err y-you could countinue to grow! Yo-you might keep growing until you're 25, Mr Song." And Art nodded and smiled "Of course you can."
Art collected the vial from Mr Browne, and saw the lovely emerald green colour. He smiled "Thank you for your hard work today Mr Browne," he said with a nod.
Art accepted the next vial from one Mr Salander, and looked up with raised eyebrows to see an OLDER version of the Gryffindor standing next to him. He chuckled. Those Lions always wanting to try things out. But he wanted an antidote? "D-don't like being older Mr Salander?" he asked with a laugh in his voice. He stood up and hobbled over to his collection, uncorked the antidote and put a dose into a little cup, and handed it over. "Try this," he said. He laughed as he overheard Miss Johanson's shock at being the same height. Kids. Always wanting to grow up.
"Okay everyone, time to pack up. I think your next Professors will be wondering why I've kept you so-so long." He felt himself become less stiff, less creaky, less hunched over, and even his lungs felt less clogged up. Ahh was the potion wearing off? Thank Scott! "Err if you haven't left me a vial pl-please just give a sample of what you've got there, and... and I shall see you all next lesson. You all worked very hard today!"
